Dinner was blah but waitstaff 4 stars! Howard Hewitt was mediocre, the jazz artist more than made up for him. He changed clothes 3 times for 4 songs. Anyhow venue was Excellent! I didn't smell pot once all evening! This event definately drew a more mature crowd. Great evening.

Well, to start off the venue was set up okay. The lines and confusion to get in was very disturbing but once I got my front row seat on the grass and settle in then the music started. Out of all the artists there Howard was the Greatest! His swagger, and inviting melodies captivated the audience expecially the WOMEN and of course ME. He sung alot of oldies back in the day and Boy Oh Boy! Show Me the Way...Yes I think like the other women that he can still sing and Yes he still looks good "People".

The concert lacked organization early. Gerald Austin ended up carrying the show, The orchestra was barely used. I really wanted to hear the strings in Children of the Night. Howard Hewett tried to do too much with his songs. All he needed to do is sing. Instead I ended up wanting his show to be over.

The show was excellent. All performers were awesome, Paul Taylor, Jonathan Butler, Michael Lington and Howard Hewitt. Music was so incredibly uplifting and moving we had some church up in the Terrace theatre that night.

Beautiful venue, reminds me of The Met kind of (not as opulent of course, but very nice). However, the acoustics (maybe a function of the setup, I don't know) were horrible. It was almost impossible to clearly hear / understand anything that was said. The music was echoing too much, just not clear either. Too bad...

The concert started about 1 hour late. However, when it started, it was great! Cherelle opened up the show with great singing, laughter, and dialog. Alexander O'Neal did his thing, Howard Hewett swooned the crowed, Al Hudson and One Way funked the crowd up, and of course, SOS Band did their thing. The only drawback (besides starting 1 hour late) was that SOS Band was unable to finish their set because of the late concert start.

They started an more than an hour late. They started doing mic check at 9pm. Then Cherrell didn't have a band, it was horrible! Never again!

Don't think it was the artist's fault, but the sound was poor, with a ton of mic feedback. Delay in opening the show and big gaps between artists, where people left and the festive atmosphere dropped . SOS Band were supposed to be on stage for the midnight countdown but didn't come on until well after and were cut off after about 5 songs due to time. And no balloon drop as advertised. Only giving this a fair rating as the artists were worthwhile.

This was not worth seeing, we listened to a dj for two hours before the show, and the performances were done with background music, not a live show. This is not entertainment, and we also had to wait for dinner for 2 hours as well. If you don't mind seating and listening to old school, with a dj you may have enjoyed it, Personally I can do this at home. Xclusive venue also provided terrible service, the food was horrible.

Avery Sunshine is a fantastic vocalist. She was phenomenal. She sang beautifully and she was very entertaining. I am looking forward to her next cd release because her first cd was fantastic. I am already looking forward to seeing her in concert again. Howard Hewitt was good as well, but I went specifically to see Avery Sunshine.

I am a HUGH Howard Hewitt fan. I absolutely love ALL of his music. I saw him at the Birchmere in August with Atlantic Star. Since it was not Howard's show, he really didn't get much stage time, but was awsome. On December 13th, my man, Howard Hewitt, was totally off the hook. He rocked the house from beginning to end. He has such stage presence and seriously knows how to get the ordiance moving. If Howard Hewitt cannot move you, you're flat lined. The show was phenomenal!!!!!!! I will attend his shows over and over again. Love some Howard Hewitt.

Howard was awsome. This was not my first time seeing Howard perform in person. But his performance Thursday was the best that I've seen thus far. His interaction with the audience was so personal. As always since he has a lovely voice, he did not disappoint this time either with his vocal powerness.

Avery Sunhine is absolutely wonderful. Her voice, stage presence, an overall performance was superb! Her voice was sharp an crisp. She was very personable and engaged the audience. She made the night unforgettable. I've seen her perform 3 times and each time her voice is better stronger and just perfection. I am a true fan and would live to see her perform more in our area. Howard Hewitt was good also. He is an underrated singer songwriter. He was entertaining and engaging. Both performs were great!!!!

Show was great! Avery Sunshine has a beautiful voice. She kept the crowd engaged. Howard Hewitt's voice sounds just like the record. Once he got a feel for the crowd, he was amazing.

I have never seen either one of these artists but it was well worth it. Made for such a romantic, soulful and enjoyable evening for me and my husband. The evening reenergized our love and commitment to one another.

Howard's voice was great and when he sang his old hits the audience loved it but he veered off and sang songs that nobody was familiar with and lost the audience a few times. There were hit songs, from back in the day, that he didn't even sing. Would have been a much better performance if he stuck to all of his old school hits! Also, Blue Magic and Ray, Goodman and Brown performed with bands. Howard had no band! Weird! His music was engineered somehow!

Howard did a fantastic job with what he had to work with. The venue was less than ideal. Kind of grimy with seats that felt like they were going to collapse. Some full sized people elected to stand because of the bad condition of the seats! Howard still has a great voice. He got the audience involved and even danced with some of the ladies. He did some Shalamar stuff and threw in a song from his lastest CD. Great performer! But come on people - if we pay for a ticket we deserve a decent seat.

Vesta started the show with plenty of energy and kept the audience engaged. She smoothly transition from energetic upbeat selections to her smooth yet gritty titles such as, "Sweet Love" and the highly requested, "Congratulations." This set the stage and the evening for Howard Hewitt's silky ballads and of course the old time Shalamar favorites, for old time sake. Howard also kept the audience engaged as he moved about the small venue and made personal contact with his adoring fans. Howard delivered on all the favorites and gave everyone in attendance what they were looking for. Great performance from both artists. Lk3nad
