Knology Clearwater Sea-Blues Festival

I want to say that the folks who put on this blues festival did a jam up job..! The music, the food, and the atmosphere was better than the law allows. Don't change a thing, except next time try to get Tommy Talton, Randall Bramblett, and/or Jack Pearson. p.s. Warren Haynes Band would be another excellent choice.

A.D.D.

The show started well with the first band, "the Animals' then the "Prowl" came onstage and got us in the mood. By the time A.D.D. came onstage we were ready to rock out and Margie and the gang didn't let us down for one minute. We rocked out the whole night! Awesome time and what a great venue!

Ali Campbell's UB40

There wasn't enough time left for UB40 so it was very late when they went on and they had to rush through a short set. Since they were the act I came to see, I was extremely unhappy. The other acts were good but there was a lot of talking and not enough music by them and also by the woman who emceed the event. The venue doesn't have their act together. Telling people that doors would open at 6 and then making people wait outside on a long line in the cold until 6:45pm. This was followed by an inefficient security check that further held people up and then masses of people waiting in the concourse until they were allowed into the arena. This made buying food and eating difficult- not a good way to encourage people to spend money at the venue.

Styx And Yes

It was a great show. We were excited to see both bands... but Styx... WOW!! They were incredible! I would have liked to hear more of Yes from 90125 & Big Generator albums. All in all, after getting our seating arrangements squared away (the seating was horrible), we had an amazing night.

Guster and Jack's Mannequin

This was an amazing concert with one exception, The Fillmore's sound system is garbage. Jack's Mannequin put on a great performance. This was my first time seeing them. Guster directly followed them, with just enough time in between to buy an overpriced $9 beer. Guster played a good mix of new stuff and a few goodies off ganging up on the sun. Generally i wouldnt recommend any concert out of the Fillmore. Take the time out, travel to Virginia and check out the Norva

Fiona Joy Hawkins

Poor. The "Country Western" opener was very loud and full of herself. Fiona Joy Hawkins' piano compositions, although creative, all sound alike.

I saw him first back in PR at the Anfi, before it was Anfiteartro Tito P. He played 2 and a half songs I think I don't remember. I was never disappointed because this was something completely different. And this time like all the other times I seen him, a different experience. Thanks Robi!

Nicki Bluhm and the Gramblers

Nicki Bluhm hit the stage in her signature tight Jordache jeans, along with cream boots and a surprisingly playful black sequin top, and her magnetism immediately took over. Her bangs draped down over her eyes as she graced the room with her sultry-smooth and lightly dusky vocals as the band laid down the music that would be the runway for the night. Throughout the evening, from song to song, Nicki and the boys grabbed the crowd with harmony and honest lyrics and a style reminiscent of years past in their "California Vibe". The bay area-based band rolled out tracks from their new album, as well as some NB&G standards, and even tossed in a couple of sultry covers of "Take Another Piece of My Heart" and "Fever". Fans were thrilled by Nicki's ability to practically channel Linda Ronstadt, Janis Joplin and even Rickie Lee Jones and transcend those sounds into a current and relevant brand of "feel good" music. Already known from their YouTube "Van Sessions" videos, Nicki Bluhm & The Gramblers are on the rise and ready to take the music scene by storm with their honest, genuine sound. I see big things in their future and recommend them to anyone who appreciates quality music and entertainment.
