I'm a little late on the train being the fact that it's already November and I'm writing a review. Anyway, I give major props to those who set up this successful music festival in Kansas. A majority of concerts I go to the first thing the artists says is "I didn't even know I had fans in Kansas!" We may be in the dead center of the United States but we still know what good music is. Eminem, Muse, Bassnectar, Cudi, Girl Talk, Artic Monkeys, Krafty Kuts, etc. sure put on one hell of a show. Eminem sounds exactly like he does on his albums and truly feeds off the crowd. Muse put on the sickest lazer show I've ever seen. Bassnectar definitely "drops bass in your face". The first year of this even was far from disappointment and I'm very interested in the line up for next year!

Sound system had blown speaker. bad venue. **THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE MAIN SET WE MISSED THE OPENING SET.** Songs were not current. horrid drag performance right in the middle of everything. You could tell she just had minimal bare bones crew who were her friends or friends of friends working the event. but they were not terrible just very few of them. which is fine the main thing was the music and it was not up to a level it once was. old original tracks were played. (one or two is great it takes you back) but one after the other just shows no real solid set was thought out. even if your playing for the crowd its not cool to just play track after track of boring remixes that we all have heard. granted the tickets were cheaper than her last parties (at mansion) but overall just lacked give a damn or poor attention to detail just bare minimum to get people in and get by production

First time I ve heard Harold playing was in very cozy Preservation Hall in Wellfleet almost 3 years ago. It was off season and Cape Code was almost deserted. A few dozen of us were sitting literally around his piano. I was surprise by the contrast of pianist s caliber and the venue:-). He obviously deserved bigger/better hall. Names of Michel Camilo and Alfredo Rodrigues come to mind, although Harold has own style very lyrical which somehow evoke French chanson:-). I wish him to get international recognition of his talent.

IAMDYNAMITE put on yet another great performance. Their upbeat music kept my heart racing the whole time. I loved getting to see them at the Duck Room as it is a more intimate setting than when I saw them the first time at the Pageant. They also took time to greet fans after the show. I would highly recommend seeing them in concert. I can't wait to see them again!

I've seen pile many times from the first week I started listening to them, to the epic and giant sound that pile had played for us on Tuesday night, it just so happen to be a close friends birthday and us being huge pile fans why wouldn't we go to the CD RELEASE on his birthday? In hindsight I love the great Scott and I love pile and have seen both very many times in different venues this particular time however was the best pile I've seen yet, they seem revitalized with the new material that will be sure to crush your skull or make your cry because i havent put the record down since Tuesday. Kal marks also played an awesome with their new drummer Alex, the kid was so tight on all of the fills on "Life is murder" it was like listening to the record all over again, they played a couple new one that make me excited for what's in store in the future. New England patriots was alright I couldn't quite make out what was happening practically The entire time the vocalist was using some sort of synth from what i heard but couldn't see to confirm what was happening so I just sat at the bar awaiting kal marks the wondering if my ears would begin to bleed, the band seemed to have fun though as they were set up on the floor which I don't usually see at The Great Scott Of course we come to style- A band made up of songs that sound like genres of others I laughed when I saw the set list that said "poppunk, folk" Either way I saw the singer play in his other project awhile ago on my birthday at a pile show as ACLU benefit a from what I got a hilarious acoustic act but mostly but the singers awesome stage banter. If you missed this show you missed a pile set you probably will never hear again, And a show that surely was the only way to kick off a tour for a band that deserves so much more than what they are at.

Alexz is one of my all-time favorite artists. She writes amazing music and lyrics that are so easy to be drawn into. Not only is the music amazing, but her performance is so real and emotional every time. You can feel her singing/playing her heart out through each song. I also think she's incredibly talented with a guitar and love that she gets out and plays while she sings. Though she's not super showy and won't have any crazy effects, I'm always completely in awe during every song. I've seen her three times now and will definitely make sure I'm there whenever she's in the area. She also stayed after the show near the merch table and took pictures/signed items for fans. It was so cool that she was willing to hang out and meet fans even if they didn't pay for the VIP meet and greet before the show.

The show was well done and had many exciting moments, a little of everything from soft rock to pumped up rock. John Cafferty was a lot of fun as he came into the audience and sang with the crowd. All the musicians did a great job keeping the crowd in awe! I loved that they all played their past classics together!! KEEP ON ROCKING ALLSTARS!!! Love you guys, Lynnie in NC
