Timeflies

Since 2010, New York-based duo Timeflies has been igniting dance parties across the country with their self-described brand of “electro hip pop dub-something”. At their adrenaline-filled live shows, producer Rob “Rez” Resnick and vocalist Cal Shapiro masterfully navigate a wild array of genres, keeping the energy high and the good vibes flowing as they unleash an eclectic mix of rap, pop, and electronic music. The pair’s aptly titled third album Just For Fun (2015) was written on tour, and the explosive energy of life the road is unmistakable as they perform the record’s larger-than-life tracks in concert. Whether they’re hyping up their “Flyhard” .

Down with Webster, Kapslap, and Timeflies were absolutely all fantastic. They had so much energy throughout the entire performance, but were also really good performance wise too. Especially Cal and Rez. Honestly, it may have been one of the best concerts that I've been to. Even though the venue itself wasn't too great (or rather, the people AT the venue weren't too great--learn to hold your bladder and liquor, people) this review is mainly about the musicians. I would definitely come back again to see them all.

School'd opened up for Timeflies and they were not that good at all, they were hard to hear and people were chanting for Timeflies half way through their set. Timeflies came out and they were great from start to finish! I hope they come back or somewhere close as I will go see them again!

One of the best concerts i've ever been to. I cant even describe the amont fo mayhem that occurred in the crowd. From a guys perspective perfect amont of girls. If being pushed around at a concert is not for you then this is NOT your venue. If you dont mind the shoving and your looking to have an amazing night buy some tickets. The chainsmokers were amazing and knew exactly how to get everyone amped for the big show. Ridiculous

Timeflies killed it (as usual), they rocked terminal 5 like no one else could! their electro-hip-pop genre was so overwhelming and the whole concert was a rock show crossed with a party/rave. Cal and Rez (Timeflies) connected so well with the crowd like they always do, and their performance was just inspired. Cal's freestyle rapping is always a highlight, and no one can resist it when rez drops the beat.

Waited for three hours from 6:30-9:30pm and Timeflies still did not come on. There was no opener either making it extremely boring. We ended up leaving and saw that they finished at 10:45. That means they didn't even play for an hour! I was very upset that we waited that long and they didn't come on. My friends and I love Timeflies which made it even more of a frustrating situation. Bottom line, be more punctual and have an opener to keep people entertained.

Timeflies was absolutely amazing just as I expected! I've been a loyal fan since the very beginning so I had very high expectations, which they reached. They are so unique and have, in my opinion, some of the best music I have ever heard. Cal is obviously super attractive and Rez makes the sickest beats. Timeflies was amazing. Totally worth the money I spent to go see them. They sounded just as good live as they sound on their tracks and were just as personable as they appear in their Timeflies Tuesday videos. The only critique I would make about the concert itself is that there were two different opening acts which took almost two hours, and then Timeflies only performed for about 45 minutes! One of the opening acts was fairly good, but it was almost agonizing to stand there and wait for two hours before they came on. The concert said it started at 7pm but Timeflies didn't perform until a little after 9pm.

Timeflies was absolutely amazing, I was not impressed with venue at all. The first act was terrible but the second was okay. SnS was not worth seeing at all. I think that they came from the streets so pops wouldn't have to pay them. I loved how cal and rez (timeflies) stayed after and signed autographs and took pictures. They were simply amazing.

What can I say about Timeflies? That their concert will make you a fan forever, from their covers to the freestyle, Cal and Res are true musicians with incredible talent. For a girl who knew every word to every song, their live performance did not disappoint! And they were kind enough to come out and meet a few fans. I've seen Timeflies before and I would again. The only bad part about The Electric Factory venue was the huge separation between the over and under 21 crowd. It seemed like they had the space to make the separation on the first floor instead of making it two floors. None the less, the show was great and was everything I expected.

I was blown away at this show. Even with the power outage, Cal and Rob pulled off a great event. They handled the situation well and kept the fans busy. I'm really glad I went to this show because it was awesome experiencing a NY show outside of Manhattan. This was the second time Timeflies also brought out Carly Rose, which was incredible. Let's just say Time Flies got on stage at 10:30 sprayed water bottles on everyone and decided to sing a song, then left by 11:10pm. Plus there was no one there. My friends and I thought the people who worked for the House of Blues needed a night off because they were all so rude.

We could also see the stage really good from where we were sitting/standing and the sound was awesome! The electric factory also had projector screens around so that if you can't see the stage you can watch the screens.

Great show!! Rez and Cal know how to make each show unique and special. Since Allentown was their last stop on their tour they even gave us a special acoustic performance. They're amazing live. They also did a fun thing with their Taylor Swift mashup where they split the crowd in half and had the audience sing two separate parts.

Having seen Timeflies 5 years ago at their incredible Boston Strong show, I was pleased that they continue to rock with their new music blending with their older stuff. Great show.

Timesflies came back and killed it once again. They are so good, they took sometime to release some amazing music which was well worth the wait cause they made y week 10 times better. The opening acts were very good and hype worthy, but Timeflies rocked the house had everyone jumping and screaming. I recommend you listen to all their new music and get some lyrics down so you can sing along with Cal and Rez!

My wife and I drove 6 hours to come see Timeflies and it was well worth it. This was our 3rd Timeflies concert together and it was just as amazing as the first! We always make it a priority to go to a concert whenever they are on tour.

This concert was tons of fun! Love timeflies! Call always puts on a good show! Drink from the bar was gross though. Definitely wouldn't waste my money on a drink there again.

The opening bands were just ok, nothing to talk about. Timeflies however, was amazing. Cal and Res really interacted with the fans and played music that they knew the listener wanted to hear. Venue was seemed like a large bar which I personally thought was really cool and made it seem like a more personal performance. Just wish I would've known about the meet and greet passes!

Timeflies knocked it out of the park. The preceding acts were sub par at best. Cal and Rez left us wanting more however, I understand that they perform at such a level that it would be hard for them to perform much longer. We loved.the show. It was an amazing night.

Timeflies only played for about an hour and a half. The concert was over by 10pm. What he played was good, it was just really short. Stage AE is a great venue!
