The show was amazing, and all of the bands were great! Of the opening acts, the band "Joy Formidable" shone the brightest. And of the Headliners, ADTR and Rise Against were perfect and there is really no other words to describe their brilliance!

Civil Twilight opened the show. Although they were an OK band, their music is so slow and mellow. I didn't really think it fit in with the rest of the bands.. Cage the Elephant was great, as always. That was the third time I've seen them. Jimmy Eat World, also great. I love their older songs, but enjoyed everything they played. They even did a cover of Wham!'s Last Christmas, that fit in very nicely with the venue title. Smashing Pumpkins were phenomenal.. Played everything I wanted to hear and then some. Their bassist was Veruca Salt's Nicole Fiorentino. She looked lovely... I only had one complaint with the entire show..... I couldn't figure how why I couldn't find any pit tickets when they went on sale.. Well, it was because there was no pit..????? It has been a long time since I went to a rock show that didn't have a pit. But the show great, we just ended up standing in front of our seats and thrashing there.

I liked the "Cage the Elephant" lots and of course Smashing Pumpkins played the right mix of songs.. was disappointed in our 105 seats section, amps obstructed our view. Did not say on the online tickets or I would have chosen the balcony seats. The sound was distorted from the front but when we left to get food and drinks, it sounded better. I will not do anymore seats up front.

This was the first time I have ever said something was too loud. It's 3 days later and I still have ringing in my right ear and my wife has it in her left. I saw the pumpkins at the Palladium 3 months before and they wernt deathly loud like they were Saturday. It was a good show but a really odd thing happened. With 2 songs to go a security lady asked to see my ticket. I was in seats 11 and 12 as in the center of everything as you could get. She had to climb over people to get to me. Asked only to see my ticket then walked away. Not sure what that was all about. Kind of annoying though!

Civil Twilight had some appeal(mostly to women who like men w/shrill voices), Caged Elephant lead singer sounded and acted like he was drunk his whole set, Jimmy Eat World took this show up a notch, then Smashing Pumpkins came in and took it over the top(wish they would have played 1979 and Disarm instead of a few of the newer ones that aren't nearly as good. I took my son/9, and he was really impressed w/Smashing Pumkins, and underwhelmed w/Cage the Elephant

It was great to see a band that really plays live and doesn't just use the canned music. My only regret is that they did not play longer but given the energy level, that probably was not possible. One of the best concerts ever!

This was my first "real" concert, and I was so excited going in, but I left disappointed. Civil Twilight was good, but their set was incredibly short -- I think they only managed 4 songs, if that. And the local band played early, so we completely missed them. Then there was Cage the Elephant, and it was horrible -- I know which band I'll be boycotting this year. Their "new songs" were barely musical at all, and were mostly drunken screams. It completely killed the vibe and was boring (and hard on the ears!). Jimmy Eat World was the best part of the show; I wish they had stayed on longer. I especially loved that they did a little Christmas tribute. It was very sweet. I don't know what was going on with the Smashing Pumpkins. It just seemed like they hated the audience (understandably; there wasn't much crowd reaction). They added so much feedback to their songs that it was difficult to actually identify the music, though the light display was pretty awesome. It was better after the encore, for some reason. It just did not seem like a very cohesive event overall.

This was a great show. I was glad I got to see them play some of their oldies before they retire them forever. SP are a great band to see live. Plus the venue is one of my personal favorites. Always clean and easy to get into and out of.

The good. The Pumkins rocked. Every band keeped you focused. Great seats. Good arangement for these 4 bands. Cage the Elephant was a surprise. They performed much better than I expected. The bad. The opening band sucked. Why does every dallas band have to scream. Like Pantera?( may Darrell rest in peace, enjoying his crown.) $7 + beer that was flat and not cold.

Love the Edge Events but extremely disappointed in the sound for the opening acts.... what happened? Came to see a rock show, in what is one of the finest sound quality venues in town, and someone forgot to turn the volume up on all of the opening acts? I've been to almost all of the Edge Events and never once has this been an issue... really disappointed.

There was a great lineup this year! Absolutely loved Rise Against!!! I am also very impressed by the Joy Formidable! Thanks 102.1!! I only have one issue. The past two concerts I've been to at Verizon Theatre have had the worst sound. The music and lyrics have all been drowned out by too much bass. All of the previous concerts I've been too there have been perfect. I love going to Verizon Theatre for concerts and would hate for my last two experiences to keep me from going there. I think its time to hire a new sound engineer!

Very good show. I was only going mainly to see Rise Against, AWOLNATION and The Naked and Famous but all bands had some cool stuff to share. I wish The Naked and Famous could've had a longer set but no big deal. AWOLNATION was pretty fun to see live but Rise Against stole the show for sure. I've never seen them live before but it was a fantastic performance from start to finish. Tons of energy and a great set list. Thanks to Edge for a fun concert as always. I'd definitely recommend it in the future!

I bought the tickets for my boyfriend as an early Christmas present, he was stoked to see Taking Back Sunday, A Day to Remember, & Rise Against. Being that this is more of the music I listen to rather than the normal concerts we go to, I was pretty freaking excited. We got Pit tickets and it was amazing! One of the opening bands was The Joy Formidable, and I am actually in love with them now. They put on a great show. Of course the three main bands were great too, the lived up to every expectation I had! We had a blast, we will definitely be looking forward to The Edge putting on another How The Edge Stole Christmas. If you didn't get to go, I hate to say it, but you definitely missed out! Thanks Ticket Master!

holy snotballz, this was an awesome concert! If you haven't seen the joy formidable....go see them when you get the chance. Rise against and a day to remember were the highlight of this show though! It's been my dream to see both. Adtr, the crowd was brutallllll in the pit! RA was phenomenal in their performance. And the atmosphere was definitely the best concert I've been too. Cooler people than at other concerts ive been to. If you get the chance to see how the edge stole Xmas next year, GO my friend! A night you will not easily forget.

This was my first How the Edge Stole X-Mas so I wasn't sure what to expect. What a great show. Other than some technical issues at the beginning of The Joy Formidable set, everything worked great and the bands were outstanding. I loved A Day to Remember--it was like a concert fused with a party.

Rise Against was good, as was AWALNATION, a day to remember was a joke. Think of them as boy band meets heavy metal, synchronized headbanging and highkicks. The joy formidable was good but taking back sunday was just ok. The venue is really nice, no waiting for food and drinks or the bathrooms. Would have been nice if we got a guest appearance from one of the bands with rise against at the end. Should be expected from such a big and touted show. Also, we sat in the SW deck, front row upper level, and the vocals sucked all night long.

I have been to several concerts at different locations. This was my first time at Verizon Theatre, and I have never had my ears ring and hurt for so long after a concert. It was so loud that I couldn't hear the singer's voices most of the time...I'm thinking the drums and guitars were louder than the singer's microphone. The volume was entirely too loud. I have only been to rock concerts and love loud music...but this was tooo loud! I was very disappointed because I've been waiting to see the Smashing Pumpkins for 12 years. Not sure if I would go back.

The Smashing Pumpkins were the main band, and they did a great job. They played a bunch of old faves and also some new stuff as well as some new twists on older songs. Their set design was great and overall they were very entertaining. They rocked hard though -- my ears were ringing for days afterward -- but it was worth it. The other bands were great as well.
