I've been watching Laith rip it up for years and this show was by far the best I've ever seen him perform. If you saw him on The Voice or just enjoy some good Bluesy Rock, then you have to see him live.

After a rocky start struggling with a broken patch cord on his pedal board which crushed his opening number, Laith bounced back with a spectacular performance highlighting his powerhouse vocals and encyclopedic lexicon of classic blues rock guitar riffs. Truly a master of the genre! I would absolutely see him again.

Delightful event the other night in downtown Detroit at the Fillmore. Ever since The Voice, this fellow has been on fire - instrumentally, vocally, and emotionally! Dare I predict a great future for Laith? I think so!

Every one of the artists in the band were extremely talented musicians. It appeared to me that their set was prearranged but some of the solos weren't. They would just look over at someone and that player would take off on an amazing solo with their chosen instrument. Laith shreds on the guitar and his booming voice never falters on any of the songs. The only down side, if you can call it that, was they played non stop for close to three hours. You can tell they love to play music!!!!

I am amazed that Laith Al-Saadi's guitar didn't ignite on Saturday night! From start to finish, he was blazing, humble, relatable, and flat out awesome! I can't wait for more opportunities to see him again!

How can someone sing like this and play the guitar like this! I heard him on the Voice and went looking for more of that raspy deep bluesy voice but never expected him to be such a masterful guitar player. He was on for more than 2.5 hours, doing both his songs and covers, was great with the audience, amazing band, he left everything on the stage. Lots of respect for his obvious dedication and love for what he does. Will go to see Laith Al-Saadi again, any time.

I was expecting to hear the blues sung by an exceptional singer and guitar player instead I got blasted out of my seat by a sound system that should be in an arena not a small cramped venue as the Michigan Theater. I could not understand most of the lyrics and enjoy the excellent guitar picking due to the distortion caused by the overbearing sound system. I realize rattling the windows with a wall of sound may be great fun but three hours is too much. I would like to see Laith again but only if the sound was turned down to allow me to enjoy "The Voice" and the guitar picking.

Although I wish my seats had been a lot closer (just a selfish wish), Laith played as well as ever. You could tell he was very proud to be headlining at the Theater (finally!!!) He played many of the songs he played on the Voice this season which was a real treat. I especially liked that he played keys again while singing "We've Got Tonight" - just a great plus to the show. His guitar skills are nothing short of amazing anytime you see him. Finally, it is fantastic to see the masses finally getting a hold of his original stuff and appreciating it for all that it is worth.

Loved the diversity of music and the programming of it. Laith is a kind, humble man with a talent that is nothing short of WOW! Great execution of his musical skills. What a wonderful birthday present it was for me.

There is no doubt that Laith has a great voice and plays a mean guitar. Where he excels is on his own work yet he covers classics really well. Where he falters is covering legends that he can not hold a candle to. It's ok to cover Hendrix but when you can't play like he can, don't just throw out chords to the beat. Also with his BB King cover, he plays far too many notes when the key to BB's music is less is more. It's not how fast you play the notes it's how you play the notes. Keep up the great work Laith and keep writing music!

I have seen Laith play in bars and a few venues as a soloist and a 3 piece band but I have never seen him with his 5 piece band and they were something to behold. They rocked the house! Not only was the crowd having a great time but so was the band. The break out solo's for each member and the back and forth between the drummer (Mark Damian) and percussionist (Jeff Trudell) was fantastic. The entire evening was a soul moving performance!!

Laith Al-Saadi not only has an awesome Voice, but he can shred his guitars with the best of them! He performed a full double-set 3 1/2 hour show! The first set consisted of classic Blues, ala BB King's "The Thrill is gone" to his original compositions while the second set was mostly rock covers, ala Jimi HendrixThe biggest (standing) ovation of the night was for an extended version of Santana's "Black Magic Woman" which featured solo performances from each of his band members who are all exceptional!. Looking forward to seeing him again soon!

Ann Arbor's own son Laith Al-Saadi. It did not take "The Voice" to make him deserve general recognition. He should have been famous long ago. His guitar playing is extremely versatile; he owns all styles and genres. His Cocker voice causes goose-bumps and his band is so powerful and fun to watch. One of the greatest concerts I have ever (!) been to. On stage Laith is shy, vulnerable and friendly and yet he rocks like a giant and sure got the blues , a blend of music's finest: Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Santana and B.B. King and the like. What more could you ask for ??? My wife and I were excessively delighted. And it all took place in the very Michigan Theater in which Laith once celebrated his graduation from the University of Michigan. Everybody was cheering all through the concert. Pure Al-Saadi-Mania!!!

The concert was very good. Laith, you can definitely sing. I love your voice. And you CERTAINLY can play a mean guitar! You seem so genuine, and humble! Hope you never change that part of you. On little constructive feedback, a smidge less guitar solos in the middle of the song. We know you can play, Laith, but I wanna hear more of that wonderful deep, bluesy voice!!!

I am a diehard fan for life now! I own everything he has for sale , but live is just unbelievable! He sounds note for note like his recordings the guy is such an awsome guitarist. But has a great vocal talent and a preferance for what i would call the classic rock style of playing. Although i am sure with his talent he could play jazz for example, but he chooses to rock us with music you could dance to if ya wanted.

if you had watched him on the voice you knew that seeing him live would not be a disappointment. had some problems with a rogue pedal initially but fixed it himself like the pro that he is. i dont know which i like betteri, his guitar playing or his vocals. props to the band as well overall they were real tight. i've lived in NY/NJ for all my life and never been to BB Kings, nice venue even if the food and drink is a little pricey. RIP BB,

I really enjoyed the concert because Laith is a talented performer. You can tell he studied the greats. Howling Wolf, Jimmy Hendrix, Santana and he can be held to those high standards. His percussionist was fantastic and reminded me of Tito Peunte because of his mastery of music. We got blues, including Chicago style, jazz, rock and roll and gospel. I smiled a lot because I truly admired this performance. He played for two hours and every moment was strong.

Laith is a great musician with an excellent voice. He definitely has a lot of talent. However, the transitions from one song to another we're not obvious. Also, he didn't interact much with the audience and he played on and on almost like a jam session with no end of the show in sight, let alone time for an encore. We ended up leaving around 11:15pm and have no idea when the show ended. We also did not appreciate how the venue ran the event with tickets inidicating a 7pm show, but in reality it was doors open at 7pm with warm up band at 8pm and main act at 9pm. With this, tickets should have indicated an 8pm show.
