Fantastic tennis tournament - very well run with great views of the matches as well as player warm-ups...! Lots of fun shopping, eating/drinking and even tennis fun for the kids and adults! Our sem-final day was rained out after the first match but, we were able to come back the next day and get similar 200 Section tickets and see all the matches we paid to see plus more! Definitely a must go tournament and we will be back again!

The tennis tournament in Daniel island ( Charleston) is a first class event. The management is superb the players and spectators all have a good time. This year the weather cooperated and there was no delay or any change of schedule. The games were mostly competitive and the spectators loved it!

Enjoyed the tennis immensely. Volunteers were great. Only two problems the people setting in the first tier behind the boxes were extremely loud & more busses were needed to ferry people back & forth to the matches. Overall everyone was very pleasant & courteous.

The weather was perfect, our seats were great, and we got to see Madison Keys, Sloane Stephens and Venus play. What more could we ask for ? The only drawback seemed to be less interesting and fewer booths to stroll by.

Great, family fun event! It's fun to watch in the big stadium but walking around was our favorite part. You can get really close to some great tennis on some of the smaller courts.

The good part about this event is that every seat has a great view in the stadium. The bad part is that the tennis is so-so as not many "name" players attend this event. Also, there is not a lot of energy around the grounds, not enough "fan experience" events. A few booths by sponsors and some merchandising... a food truck . It's a pretty area to go see some tennis and hopefully you can see a player you like. On the whole, I call it average.

This is always a highlight for me to go see these players. Venue is awesome, seating is always available, price was great, not to mention the amazing players! Well worth the money spent to watch a match or two! A little cold this year but we roughed it out!

Day session runs 7 hours or more. You can watch many different matches on multiple courts. See Singles and Doubles. See lots of different styles of play. And decent food and drink options. And you are in the nice town of Daniel Island, just a few minutes from downtown Charleston and/or the Charleston area beaches. Great way to spend a nice spring day.

They had free parking and free shuttle to the event from the parking. Plenty of things going on during the matches as well. Totally recommend!!

Great seats and worth the price. We drove from Columbia, SC area and was the first time attending this tennis tournament. Parking was free and Volvo Open provided shuttles to the stadium. Most tennis tournaments would charge for parking and other amenities, so I am not complaining.

Buyer beware-- don't by a package of matches ahead of time. Buy single sessions only...and only once you have confirmed you can see a match you actually pay for! There's plenty of open seats, even at the finals, so buying as you go is the NO RISK way to spend your money. Here' why: Despite what was good about the tournament, I was frustrated that a semi-final match scheduled for the stadium court (as was everything from the semifinals onward) was moved to a side court *and* quietly started before the prior semi was completed. Those of us who paid to see both matches had no way to do so. The side court seating was *way* too small to accommodate fans, so many just left. I was told the reason for doing this was to have time to prepare for a night time men's exhibition for which people had bought tickets. So, they sold tickets to two events in the same venue at the same time, preventing me from seeing a match I paid for. Staff on the grounds and at the ticket office seemed utterly unconcerned about this. Again: Buyer beware-- don't by a package of matches ahead of time. Buy single sessions only...and only once you have confirmed you can see a match you actually pay for! There's plenty of open seats, even at the finals, so buying as you go is the NO RISK way to spend your money.

This event is very well run and a pleasant event. The venue is not so large that you get lost or too spread out. You get to be among the players and the feel is friendly there. The food and beer prices are reasonable enough. Less pricey than baseball or football games but a good bit more than at the Masters. The only grumbling I would pass along is the following: 1. Not enough food stands around. It gets crowded at the best food areas. 2. The tennis clothing for sale is BUST OUT RETAIL prices. 3. Some events like this would have a dozen booths or tents with free stuff, samples and stuff like that. This does not have enough of that. 4. I am surprised at the lack of "tennis training" features and options. 5. I am surprised at the lack of tennis equipment for sale and the lack of tennis equipment manufacturers there.

My family and I always enjoy going to Charleston for this tournament. We love it. My only issue this year was that some of the pros -- in the semis and finals -- except for Kiki -- completely ignored the kids -- the ones who basically look up to them and create a large portion of their fan base. It was sad to witness this.

We had tickets for Saturday's semi-finals. We got to see the first doubles match and part of the first set of the next match before the skies opened up and washed out the rest of the day. By the fine print on the ticket, they completed their obligations for Saturday ticket holders. But instead they allowed us to exchange our Saturday tickets for Sunday grandstand tickets, so not only did we get to see the rest of the semi-finals, but the finals as well.

Because of a rainout, we were not able to use the seats we paid for to watch the matches on the following day.The people who bought Sunday tickets got to watch our matches plus the ones they paid to see. No mention of refund. That was the first and last time I will be going to that event. The venue was great, but the event management staff really dropped the ball on this one.

Went to Semi-Finals Friday - saw great tennis. Incredible view - small enough there are no bad seats in the house. Everyone cordial - drinks/food/clothing reasonably priced. At a great location - Daniel Island - which we wandered around after the day session - found some great restaurants.

Amazing venue, viewing opportunities, food, drink, and of course, TENNIS! I would suggest getting there early in the week to see lots of tennis! Monday thru Thursday you can get up close and see all your favorites! We spent 12 hours watching tennis one day! Enjoy all the beauty that Charleston and Daniel Island has to offer

Had a great time with my teenage son. He got in free since he is under 16. Parking was free, but we did have to wait a bit for a school bus shuttle to the gate. We didn't have to wait a second for the shuttle back to the car. The facility is small which allows you to bounce around from court to court easily. We were up close to stars practicing and on the front row for matches at all of the courts except the stadium. All of this for one $25 ticket plus a give away for USTA members at their tent. Lunch was tasty and reasonably priced with no wait and a shaded place to sit. Definitely worth fighting the busy traffic on 526 and 26.

Two (2 hr) delay Saturday morning was changed 8PM Friday night. Poor or no notification prior to time changes for out of town visitors, text message would have worked a lot better then looking for things to do for 2 1/4 hrs from the forwarded start time.

Watched semi-final singles and doubles from level 300 open-seating section and it was great. We brought our own bleacher seats and had plenty of room to spread out. Yes, in the top section, but the same altitude seats at the US Open would have cost 5x as much. Event is well run, and there's plenty to see off-court (like interesting food trucks). Great day out for the family.

First-time attendee, I had a great time. Tour-level tennis without the massive atmosphere of a Grand Slam. Even though the big names were out before the weekend, the quality of play was very good and attendance was still decent. Easy enough to get to/from the venue, park, and shuttle to the gates. Definitely recommend.

If you haven't been to the Volvo Car Stadium, you really need to see what an amazing venue it is. We had general admission tickets for the tennis event and they were wonderful. Every seat in the stadium is great! We saw many amazing matches and not just in the main stadium but matches going on throughout the facility. Definitely planning to do this again!

Have been coming to this event for 5 years with my daughter from Atlanta, GA. Living in Augusta, GA with the Masters going on last week is never a fun week. Going to this event Saturday And Sunday is the best thing that could happen during this time frame. The players, fans and everything else that makes this event a must place to be each and every year.

This super user friendly tennis tournament is very well run. The southern friendliness of the staff and fans is a plus. Charleston's many attractions (architecture, history, restaurants, beaches) make the visit worthwhile for even casual tennis fans. Easy fan interaction with the players in a more relaxed environment than the Grand Slams and bigger tournaments is a special bonus. I've wanted to attend for many years and I'm really glad I finally did. I will be back for sure.
