It was my first concert, and I was impressed. I really liked the band Fleshgod Apocalypse, and how they dressed up for the performance. Whitechapel didn t seem like they were into the music that night, but they must have been exhausted from all the touring... Black Dahlia Murder did great, the new guitarist is impressive!

This was a very nice house. Great use of the stage. For a community arts group they did a terrific job.

I have probably been to at least 50 concerts and seen even more performers. This was one of THE BEST concerts I've ever seen! My seats were a few rows behind the standing room section in front of the stage in the historic art deco Wiltern Theater. Before the show started, Nile came on stage and greeted the crowd and shook hands with many of us. Seemed like a genuinely nice guy. Later, as soon as the opening song "Everybody Dance" started, the crowd was out of their seats and on their feet. By the 3rd song, an usher asked if we wanted to go to the standing room section and offered us wrist bands. We gladly accepted since we knew we would be on our feet for the rest of the night so we may as well be closer. The entire night was a huge dance party and the crowd was electric. Chic played the huge Chic songs like Le Freak, the lesser hits like Chic Cheer and the hits Nile was involved in by artists Sister Sledge, Diana Ross, Madonna, David Bowie and Daft Punk. Nile even rapped Rappers Delight in the middle of the finale Good Times, which included a stage full of people from the audience. Classic after classic after classic. This was a journey through dance music history. Although no one can replace original lead singers Norma Jean Wright, Alfa Anderson & Luci Martin, the current women of Chic, including Kimberly Davis (who hit #1 on the Billboard Dance chart a week later) were phenomenal both is singing abilities and stage presence. The band was tight and I was amazed how well disco could be played live. And of course, hearing the unmistakable riffs and playing of Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Nile Rodger was a joy.

The entire show was amazing! Goapole is one of those artists that sounds better live. She is so talented and I go see her every chance I get. I love Heiro and she brought them out to perform 2 of my favorite songs. Martin Luther also joined her to do a great song that we all love. I love that she did a Prince tribute and sang a few of his songs. Samaria opened for her and she was also very well received, we really enjoyed the show. We love that she performs at smaller intimate venues, they are always the best!!

Who hasn't seen their Vines or various clips on YouTube? When you listen to music these days, most everything is engineered to where you often wonder if artists and their songs truly sound as good live as they do post production. Wonder no more! We saw them first live opening for Pentatonix in OKC in 2016. They played a short set that left everyone wanting more. Fast forward a few months and Dallas was the last stop of their Just Love Tour. We splurged and went w/the Diamond VIP which was worth every bit the extra mint! From the soundcheck where they sang the Banana song to Q&A to selfies w/the fans, both Carissa and Michael were approachable, warm and energetic. We heard some of the fans comment about other artist encounters that were far less engaging and memorable. This was anything but that as it was fun watching them redo selfies until they got them just right! Afterwards, we were lead to their dressing room where they played "No Matter Where You Are" and "Safe". Speechless. Talk about a privilege to watch them harmonize perfectly but even more to feel the love they have for one another shine when they sing together, chills down the spine awesomeness is all I can say. The concern opened up with Hailey Knox who kept things jumping as she showed why she might be deemed the female loop pedal Ed Sheeran. Then Us the Duo came on. From start to finish, they brought the crowd in with sharing stories about their journey and experience from Vines to world tours. The mashup of the Bee Gee's 1977 version of "How Deep Is Your Love" with the modern dance version was genius as well. At the end of the night, what better way to wrap it up than with "No Matter Where You Are" where Carissa pounded the drum like a boss and Michael worked the guitar like a maestro does. We enjoyed every moment of it and wish these two nothing but continued musical success. The music world could use more true musicians like these two who require nothing but a tune and an instrument or two. If you find that they're coming through your town, make the effort to see them live. Your ears and heart will thank you for doing so.
