i like the idea that they really try and get the kids involved in the show with singing, danceing., i wish that i had known i could have brought my camera i looked all over my receipt but no notations that i could.a great way to memorize for my 4yr old grandson. would have liked to have seen something other than popcorn and candy for the snacks.

First of all it was really short for the cost of the tickets even with a 10 minute intermission it was under an hour and a half. My 4 year old was captivated for the 1st 20 minutes then she was pretty bored. We have seen this and the Disney Princess on Ice show and this event didn't even hold a candle to the magic we got from the ice show. The ice show was less expensive and lasted longer. I would have to say we wont ever go to another show like this again. She was much more excited by the parts of the show where the characters were in big stuffed costumes and not by the Einsteins or Handy Manny "people" in costumes.

I took my 3 and 6 year old daughters to the show. We got floor seating, I didn't think the floor seating was worth the price we paid for it. There was no big wow factor to the show. I thought that the Little Einsteins should have been costumes of the characters instead of real people my 3 year old had a hard time relating. The merchandise was very expensive $20.00 for a light up toy. My girls were also asking about Daisy she's a big part of the show and was not included. If I was to take my girls again I would pay for the cheap seats for I feel the floor seats did not make the show any better.

My family attends most to all of the Disney productions that are within the New Orleans area. We traveled an hour and a half to go see Playhouse Disney in Mississippi. The production lacked any energy and level of production quality. It seemed more of a high school production than a high quality production that audience expect with the Disney name on it. The sets were simple and uninteresting. They technical staff seemed to be having numerous technical difficulties throughout the production. Two namely the lyrics on the video screen during the Tigger and Pooh segment were way off and the the right stage inflatable for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse did not inflate. The performer who played Handy Manny was the highlight of the show. My kids really liked him and thought he did a great job. The rest of the cast seemed off and lacking in energy and sincerity, An overall disappointment! The show started at 6:30pm and finished a few minutes before 8pm. With a 15 minute break, I did not feel a just over 1 hour production was worth the money spent. The bottom line is that the production was just not what people expect or deserve from a Disney Production. The worst I ever saw. I wish I could have demanded our money back, because it was not worth it. Sorry to be so harsh, as I have never written a bad review for a Disney production. This was my first and I hope was my last.

The show was great for kids 7 and under. Had all the major playhouse disney characters. Fun, colorful, upbeat, and interactive. It was a blast to see all the little kids yelling out the answers, singing and dancing! Even my 18 month old was well entertained. Definitely a great show for families with younger children.

I thought the price for the tickets was pretty high, but nothing compared to the prices they wanted to charge for the "must-have" memorabilia offered in the stands for the show. $20 light wands and $12 snowcones in a plastic Rocket cup, for example. There was the hawking of LeapFrog's new home play system I found extremely offensive in the beginning of the show and the acting done by the performers was overdone and rarely in sync with the voice-overs. Of course, the kids delighted in seeing their TV folks come to life, and I have to say the Handy Manny section was fairly well done and the highlight of the show (also the arrival of the Little Einstein's Rocket on the stage was pretty cool--but not enough time with it being shown), but overall the experience made me want to cringe--a lot of money for very little production value. See it at your own risk.

My 33 month old LOVED the show, BUT cried several times b/c she wanted to give "hugs & lovin" to Mickey & Minnie! It would've been nice if the kids could've gotten to at least give them a hug. I did see some people go in early & apparently get pics done, but I never knew u could pay to do that or I SURELY would have. Everyone was complaining about the rows on the floor being WAY too close together. When you've got a ton of kids wiggling & asking to go to the bathroom & get popcorn constantly, & EVERYONE on the row HAS to get up to let ONE person out, it gets old ,fast. All of the staff was very nice & helpful, & the coliseum was pretty clean considering we went to the 2nd show. We did have to wait outside IN THE COLD w/ very anxious children for a LONG time & that was not fun. Wish they would've opened the doors alot sooner. Overall, it was a good experience, but we did have a few issues. I would definately do it all over again.

The Playhouse Disney Live Production last night was a big disappointment to both myself and my 3 year old son. Handy Manny was not even in costume, nor were any of the Little Einstein characters. They were all in just street clothes. My son did not even know who they were. Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck. Goofy, Tigger and Pooh were all in costume as seen on TV and at Walt Disney World. We attended Sesame Street Live last year the the University of South Alabama and all of the characters were in costume along with the other dancers. That show far out-shined Disney's show. Not so sure I would spend the money to see Disney again.

I thought Playhouse Disney was ok, certainly not the best show we've seen. My daughter was a little upset that Daisy and Pluto were not there. The Mickey Mouse characters only appeared at the end of the show. The show was a little short and the intermission was incredibly long. Too long for the children that didn't need to potty during intermission. Considering there was a screen, they certainly could have aired an episode for those who remained in their seats.

I must say that the show was delightful and the excitement on my grandchilds face was unforgettable. But...... There should be no cameras or camera phones allowed!!!! For those of us who paid more for our floor seats so that the little ones would be closer to the event, weren't even able to see. With all of the arms in the air with cameras and recording devices, the little ones views were blocked. I think that videos should be available for purchase and let's keep the cameras out. Oh yeah, the prices for the novelties are absolutely ridiculous. Those prices are highway robbery.

I thought this was a very cute event for preschool age chiidren. My daughter participated thoughout most of the show and was very excited to see some of her favorite characters. The only suggestion I might offer is that you include ALL of the characters from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. My daughter is less than 2 and noticed that Daisy and Pluto were not a part of the show. Overall, though, this was a great show to introduce my daughter to theater performances!

PDL has great appeal for a small segment of the childworld. The parts with the characters were wonderful. The story line added little. The graphics were fun for the adults but the kiddies liked only the characters. Five is the absolute upper age limit. Two to Four were enchanted but needed to participate even more. As always, the prices for the souvenirs were unenchanting.

The show was too short and the characters were not on long enough, it was like 5-7 minutes max that they were on. The characters didn't get off the stage to interact with the audience. We have been to Sesame Street shows and they are much better. I wouldn't go back again. It was a total waste of money.

After writing my first post, I went back to read a few others. I really agree with the fact that it was crazy expensive. However, they opened a second show at the Palace so for the same price tickets as being in the middle of the balcony section, we were able to go to later show and have floor tickets. After that, I didn't mind so much paying the same price to be on the floor. I thought it was funny though that the tickets that were $30 more than ours were only a few rows up...

Definitely great for children. My daughter loved being able to sing and dance in the aisles. She was just disappointed that all the characters weren't there, ex. Daisy and Pluto. It's hard to explain to an almost 3 year old where they were. I told her that Daisy had to take Pluto out for a walk, but then she kept expecting them to come back! We would probably take her again if they came back to the area.

Show was able to keep my 2 yr old twins attention, would have liked to see more interaction between the kids and the characters. Not enough of Mickey Mouse and his club house pals. Handy Manny's segment was the biggest attraction for them. Would have seen a longer show for the cost. Too bad it was easter sunday - and there was next to no area advertising, spoke with friends and said if it was any weekend but easter we would have attended.

If Disney puts its name on it, I expect the show to be excellent. It was primarily for that reason that I was willing to pay the crazy price. We opted for the mid-range tickets and the cost for a family of four was still over $200 for an hour and a half long show. The show did not live up to expectations. All characters, except "Postess", were lip synching the lyrics, though most were good dancers, and the stage was basically a large video screen with a few actors/dancers in front of it. The format did not bring the characters and scenes to life. The story was also very, very slow for a normally patient adult -- which I expected since it is a show for preschoolers -- but again with the Disney name, I expected more. My 4 & 6 year olds worked to enjoy it and neither has mentioned it since leaving... and that says something (they still talk about the circus last year).

Let me start by saying that my sons (ages 5 and 3 1/2) had an AWESOME time at this show!! My 5 year old was jumping up and down and singing along, my 3 1/2 year old would have too, except that he was so enthralled by the show that he sat there the entire time and I'm not sure that he blinked!! LOL BUT... The portion of the show featuring Handy Manny (my sons' favorite) was not nearly as well done as some of the other parts( ...the Little Einsteins and Pooh were much better). In Handy Manny, they showed all of the characters (Kelly, Mrs. Portillo and Elliot-or was it Sherman) but they did not tell you who they were, nor is they have speaking parts and were completly ignored on stage. It was kind of disppointing. Also, we had great seats, (3rd row) but wow did we pay for them. $47 each +tax for a show that was only an hour and a half (including a 15 minute intermission)! It should have been a little longer and prices were, well, one word,,,OUCH!!

I was extremely dissapointed withthe Disney Playhouse show. The scenery and props were all just projected on to the screen behind the actors. The seating was way too far back to see the show. We decided to purchase these tickets for our daughters 2nd birthday and we are sure glad we did. She had an amazing time!!! I was affraid she wouldnt like the little Einsteins because they were real people dressed up and not costumed, but I believe they were her favorite! And the fact that a real rocketship came out on stage is what impressed me! She did keep saying at the end "Where's Daisy duck?", so we wished Daisy would have been there because she is one of her fav's but she had a great time inspite of it! I have brought 2 other kids of mine to nickelodeon shows and have loved them. This show didn't hold my 3 year olds attention, even to the point of him asking multiple times, throughout the show, if we could go home. There was no set, just a big screen in the background. Oh, there was a very small amount of set in the beginning. I just wasn't "in awe" as expected, seeing a Disney show. Also, they brought 2 children up on stage to dance, but they didn't even get to dance with a Disney "character", just the mail girl....thought it would have been a lot more exciting for them to dance with Mickey....

My daughter absolutely loves all of the Disney Playhouse shows. My husband and I were incredibly excited to see her reactions to the show. We drove 2 hours to see the show only to have a disappointing experience. There was really not much more to it other than characters coming on stage. The background was poor to say the least. I am not sure if there was technical difficulty or what, but the background was centered like a box within a box (it didn't look like a background). The most disappointing was that all of the core characters were not in the show. My daughter kept asking why Daisy Duck and Piglet were not there. If you just want to see the characters, you will be satisfied. If you are looking for a show, you will be terribly disappointed.

For me personally it was more of a joy to see my son so excited to see his favorite friends off of Disney. All of the children were very entertaining to watch more so than the show for me. The show had some really great moments. I did think that the items for sale were a little on the spendy side. However I did splurge a lot and Disney should be very happy considering between food, tickets & toys i spent about 200.00 on 1 child. It just would have been nice if it would have been a little cheaper considering that not everyone has a lot of money to spend at these events. Overall the show was good and we had a blast.

Having attended a "live" event before, the Playhouse Disney Live show was about what I expected it to be. My 5 year old really liked it and had a good time. She enjoyed the characters that were there although everyone seemed to wonder where Daisy was. As a parent I thought the show was appropriate for the kids and they all seemed to have fun. As usual, the souvenirs and snacks were highly overpriced...we paid $17 for some stale popcorn and watered down lemonade. Because I knew my daughter would love it, I was willing to pay the high amount for the tickets but it would have been nice if every child could have walked out with some sort of give-away souvenir. Even the programs were over-priced. I would say that all in all it was a good show. The actors seemed to do a fairly good job portraying the cartoon characters. I think the show would have been more fun if you got rid of the "Little Einsteins" and had "The Imagination Movers" instead.

We enjoyed the show but found it to be a little short, only 1 1/2hrs which included ads and intermission. The show started with advertisements for disney mechandise and the merchandise sold at the show was incredibly expensive. Would have loved to have purchased a program...but even those were $15! Make sure to arrive early....free parking is hard to find...we ended up walking over 7 blocks...but our other option would have been to pay $15-20 for the parking lot. May pass on this show next go around and perhaps try the disney on ice instead. On a good note, the balcony seats were great...saw everything.

Excellent show for the kids. Parents will be entertained too. Recommended if your child loves Winnie, Handy Manny, the Little Einsteins, or Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. An hour and a half was plenty of time for young children, who have shorter attention spans.

My kids had a blast. The performance was great. They kept the kids involved and entertained the whole show. I would recomend anyone with young kids to go.

My 2 year old daughters had an amazing time at Playhouse Disney Live! I would recommend this event to anyone with toddlers at home, even if they don't watch much t.v.

My daughter has been in love with Mickey and the gang for a while now so it was a no brainer to take her and our son to the event. It was entertaining to watch - even from an adult's perspective (my husband laughed at times) and we would most likely go again if they came back. Only thing I'd recommend is that it lasted a little longer. The show, itself, was about an hour, maybe a little over. I thought it would be longer than that.

I took my 31/2 year old grandson, not knowing what to expect from the performance. It was enteraining for adults and kept my grandson entertained through the entire show.

My daughter is 20 months and she absolutely loved this show! We intentionally purchased a seat in the first row of the parterre level and it worked out great! She was able to jump and dance in front of her chair and still see the show. The souvenirs were over priced, but cute. Lots of Handy Manny items. Overall, a wonderful day out!

My son had the best time at this show. They had interaction with the show, which is what he really liked. Plus ot was really great when they had a chance to win a leap frog learning system. I would tell other parents to take their children to this show. The only thing that I didn't like was the prices of the food and drinks, they were a bit on the high side.

I was very pleased with the show. The ticket prices were very reasonable, and the show was very interactive with the children. It allowed them to sing along and even do the hot dog dance with Mickey. My three year old son is a huge Mickey and Handy Manny fan! Getting to see them made his day and it's been all he's talked about since. I strongly recommend going it's a great way to spend some family time together!

The atmosphere and the entertainment was very good. The players showed good entheusiasim. The problem was the stage set up and the floor tickets. This arrangement was very annoying and not conducive to the enjoyment of the play. The children could not see and we wound up moving up to the side so they could see the people on the stage. Then this blocked the screen. What was good turned into a problem. I suggest scripting your plays to a stage that reaches out into the audience so all can see with out blocking someone elses view. Or a tiered layout so everyone can look down or up in steps to the stage. Also the characters could have mingled with the children either before or after the show. Very disappointing for our little grandson that he could meet and talk to them.

I would just like to say what a great show, my 4 1/2 year old has watched Playhouse Disney since he started watching tv 3 years ago, and he just had the best time of his life! I was really impressed by the props (Rocket, Handy Manny's tools being there). This was an absolute phenomonal show.

My little one was quite upset that Daisy and Pluto were not a part of the show. It was hard convincing a 2 year old that they must have been home sick!! When he wasn't asking for them, though, he really enjoyed it! A bit pricey for what you get, but a mom's gotta do what a mom's gotta do. Einsteins were rough, but Handy Manny was AMAZING...Totally opposite from what I expected!

Mickey Mouse and his clubhouse gang don't come out and perform until the end of the show. It seemed long and slow moving. It was very overpriced just to watch a huge TV screen.

It was neat for the kids...they loved it! I think the kids enjoyed Mickey Mouse and Friends better than Little Einsteins, Handy Manny and Pooh/Tigger. Overall was an enjoyable evening for my family.

As parents of a four year old, my wife and I both thought we got little to show for our $100+ evening. My four year old enjoyed the evening, but it didn't make an impression on him either. The show lacked props and seemed unimaginative. For as many characters as appeared on this show, they could have done a lot more with it. No plot, no theme.

I took my 4 year old son to his first show, and he was thrilled. It was just long enough to where he did not get bored. He was laughing and dancing and singing with the characters. We got home and he asked when we were going again. I would definiltly recommend this show in the furture. We will be going to the next disney show that comes to town. I do have one little problem, do you really need to charge $20 for a plastic toy that lights up? And $15 for a plastic hat with Handy Mandy sticker on it?? Other then that, it was wonderful!!!!

we took our 4 year old grandson and he loves mickey mouse. he had a blast he was up singing and dancing, he didn't want it to end he wanted them to come back out so he could see them some more. we just wish it wasn't so expensive to buy things there like 15 dollars for cotton candy just cause it comes with a plastic hat or 10 dollars for a popcorn cause it comes with a bucket. its just a litlle ridicules to have to pay that much for junk food that you know kids love and want but you cant afford to buy it for them at those prices.

The Disney Live show was cute and my almost 2yr old son enjoyed it, but I expected more of a production from Disney. I recently went to the Sesame Street Live show at Playhouse Sq. and it was amazing! It was a big production that kept my little one mesmerized and me quite entertained as well. Like I said, the Disney show was cute...I just expected more, especially after paying $50 a ticket for floor seats.

Seemed very low quality. The Playhouse props were 2 five foot tall inflatables. Couldn't even bring a Daisy & Pluto costume? Been to a dozen or so kids/ice shows, this was by far the worst.

Show was good, perfect length for our 3 kids 3 and under. Floor seats weren't great though...kids (nor myself) could see over the adults in front of us. Ended up with the kids standing on our thighs for 1.5 hours :)

NOT enough Mickey Mouse! Show was just average for the amount of $ we spent for tickets. And with that said, for the $ spent the props were horrible.

I thought it was a great show. I have been to plenty of kid plays/musicals over the past few years with my children. I was surprised on how short this event was and for an item that was not inexpensive. The length was perfect for keeping the short attention spans of toddlers but would have liked a better ticket price for the hour show.

As with so many of these types of events, I found the tickets and souvenirs to be beyond overpriced. For what it charged for tickets it is disappointing that so much of the show is a picture projected on a screen for backdrops rather than real props. Kids were disappointed that Darby's dog and Daisy duck were not in show. Show went quick and I just wasn't very impressed.

This was a great show for the little ones. It kept them entertained and changed up enough to keep them from loosing focus. It was very interactive and had lots of familiar tunes and characters. My little one enjoyed it so much that he made everyone around us smile as well.

Have to say that even though it was the same show as last year (not that my 3 year old remembers or would even care) Playhouse Disney is a fun show to go to. The show itself is really fun to watch and is done really well. All the correct voices for all the characters really adds to the experience! My kids (2 and 3) had a great time and cheered, sang and danced with the songs! I will take them again next time, even if it is once again the same show. I just hope they do change it some because my 3 year old boy loves Manny and Mickey but he so wanted to see Special Agent Oso!

I thought the show was pretty good. I was a little disappointed with most of the show being pre-recorded though. It would have been better if the kids could hear the characters really speaking I thought. The dancing was good and the storyline. Daisy wasn't there for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse though. My son and daughter were a little disappointed, since she is in the tv show. Overall I thought the show was okay.
