Great stadium, facilities, fans, experience!! Will definately be going again!!

"$10 beer and nowhere to sit" $85.00 for 2 tickets - our first professional soccer game. Tickets had seat numbers listed on tickets which makes it appears there is an actual seat but it was general admission seating extremely overbooked so it was standing room only behind others who were already standing in front of us so unless you brought a step ladder you saw little or nothing of the game. Standing for 2 1/2 hours with a recent knee injury not fun - only option unless you wanted to watch it in a bar area away from the actual field and watch game on TV's. So went back to ticket office at stadium. They would not upgrade us to an actual seat by have us just pay the difference in price. Instead they said they could sell us new 2 higher priced tickets on top of the $85 which those tickets would get thrown into the trash can. But even though I saw a hundred empty seats at the stadium the ticket office said there were not 2 seats together in the entire stadium. Ha ! So that probably saved me another $200 so we went back inside and stood for 2 hours drinking $10 cans of beer. Usually for two people, $100 gets you more than 5 beers each. Overall experience - 1) extremely frustrating 2) tire achy feet & legs - walking half a mile to park and standing during entire game 3) unnecessarily overly deafening loud. 4) expensive 5) a parking nightmare taking at least 20 minutes to find a parking spot. Other than that I am sure it would be fun for the whole family.

Fun family night. Only wish SportingKC had played better.

Livestrong Sporting Park was as good as advertised. Has all the amenities of a modern stadium with plenty of food and drink options along with shops and kiosks to purchase memorabilia. I purchased a seat in the Cauldron or the supporters section. There wasn't a bad seat in the section, it had the atmosphere of a true European soccer match. I will definitely be attending several Sporting KC games in the future.

Sporting KC's inaugural home opener was incredible. The park is beautiful, the team is fantastic and the fans are... well FANATIC! We had such a great time. Would love it if the credit card machines were working so I could have purchased some SKC gear but otherwise it was a perfect night!

LIVESTRONG Sporting Park is a beautiful state of the art stadium that has plenty of amenities for the whole family. Free stadium WiFi, cell phone charging stations, variety of food stands, and many restrooms make it not only convenient but luxurious for even the cheapest seats. The atmosphere inside the stadium was awesome with large HD screens, there was not a bad seat in the house, even the SRO area had great views along the concourses. Overall, this is one of the nicest, most fan friendly stadiums ever. I highly recommend watching a Sporting Kansas City game at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park!

My family and I had a great evening. It was an edge of your seat game even though it ended in a draw. Can't wait to go back. It would have helped if Ticketmaster had been a little clearer about parking and parking passes.

We were there for the opening match of LiveStrong Sporting Park, and the venue is fabulous. There were certainly some opening night hiccups, such as the computers being down at the shops. The facilities are top notch, and every seat in the house has a great view of the beautiful pitch. We plan on coming back! HOWEVER, our seats were in section 123 which, as it turns out, is partially reserved for the visiting team's fan club. The group in front of us seemed bent on keeping the fans around them from being able to enjoy the match or hear anything. After literally starting a fire before the match started, several of the rowdiest of the visitors were removed from the stadium. Still, those that remained were more determined to annoy Sporting fans and provoke conflict than they were to watch the match. I certainly wish that I had known about the visiting fans before buying tickets for my family. Ticketmaster ought to provide some warning before you buy tickets in or near section 123, but failing that, please consider carefully where you are getting tickets relative to the visitors before buying. I would not hesitate to return to the stadium for another match, but I am going to sit elsewhere.

Loved everything about it - the stadium, the atmosphere, the food, etc!!! Excellent Job!! The only thing I did not like was when the Cauldron started throwing bottles on the field - I thought that was very disrespectful and uncalled for even if the refs were incorrect in not making a call. I did, however, appreciate how the staff immediately ran out and cleaned them all up for the safety of the players. We will DEFINITELY be back for more games this summer. It is so fun to be a part of this growing organization:) Thank you!

Welcoming Sporting KC back from spending so long a time on the road. Livestrong Sport Park is amazing and gorgeous. This team deserves a stadium like this after being journeymen. Having to share facilities to the Chiefs & T-Bones. This soccer dedicated stadium will be admired for quite some time.

I could have done without the disrespect of the opposing team fans during pre game because we couldn't hear a thing Lance Armstrong and the announcers were saying. The constant drumming during the game was annoying as well.

Wonderful evening. Great facility. Fun match. First professional soccer match and would definitely do again.

I have been a KC soccer fan for about 10 years, and I have never been more excited for a season than this year. Me and my friends can't wait to see games at Livestrong Sporting Park starting in June. It's going to be the best soccer stadium in the country!

Wizards games are always fun... everyone should go. BUT DO NOT PAY THE EXTRA MONEY FOR THE ALL YOU CAN EAT SEATS! It's a limited menu consisting of pasta that tastes like carboard, buttered hotdog buns that they call French bread, pre-packaged peanuts, hotdogs and cookies. The hotdogs and cookies were average... but can you really eat $15 worth of hotdogs and cookies????

Constant action on the field. All the Wizards' staff are friendly and helpful. Easy parking.

July 4th Wizards game against Houston was a "thing of beauty and a joy to behold" even though the final score was less than desirable (0-1 loss on a freaky in the box header for Houston). We had seats in section 112 row 2 which is just immediately to the right of the west end goal. What made it beautiful was seeing the game from an unusual vantage point. Typically I watch games from the sidelines not the end so the flow of the game is very different - especially that close to the field. You get to see it like the goalkeeper sees it rather than as the coach sees it. KC was a bit distracted in the first half and played the second half very well having a number of near and very near misses to score. The fireworks after the game were beautiful. In general the atmosphere around the game - both pre- and post-game - was great. I hope the new complex for the Wizards works as well as Community America Park does.

The soccer match at Livestrong Stadium was amazing. The event was put together very well and greatly appreciated by the public, especially my daughter, who was in attendance with me. I highly recommend this venue of activity. There is not a bad seat in the whole arena. The soccer match itself was amazing.

Really i dont think there is a bad seat in the entire stadium. it was awesome being at field level for the game though!

LiveStrong Sporting Park is a beautiful facility, and the atmosphere was fantastic. Everything went very smoothly, even though it was the first event in the facility. Sporting KC is an entertaining team, with passionate supporters, so every game is a guaranteed good time, regardless of the final score. I'm not sure where exactly we sat, since it was General Admission. But all of the South section seemed good. Great view of the south goal area. Great spot for people who like to sit during most of the game, and stand during important moments. Easy access to food, restrooms, and shops. Getting out after the game didn't take long at all.

Children's Mercy Park is such a great arena. There really isn't a bad seat in the house.

This was our first game. There were vendors, freebies, and activities before we went in. Everything was so family friendly and we had a really great time! Can't wait to go back.

This review is for families with small children; the whole stadium atmosphere is way too loud and wild for us. Scared my 3 year-old to death. Yes, I expected a loud crowd at a soccer game, but the fireworks and loud, loud music made it much worse.

Our seats (102, row 21) were almost perfect, on the shaded side of the stadium for an evening game. They were at the perfect height. Only being more central could have been better, but probably not worth the premium.

First and foremost, it was a great game in an incredible stadium. The park is unbelievable. We had the Terrace or "Bud Light Corner" seats which are an open area with all you can eat and drink. The food was great but there are about half as many chairs as there are tickets to that section, so for the first 70 minutes of the match, we found ourselves trying to see around people who were also standing around, standing in front of chairs, or sitting in the high chairs. Eventually, people leave the game early and we were able to enjoy the last 15-20 minutes of the match from some chairs. I might not recommend this section but I definitely recommend the event itself!

An excellent Sporting experience. The crowd was electric and the action on the field was non stop!

Seats were at the perfect height in the stands. My 2-year-old loved watching the Cauldron. The team never gave up and treated us to a super entertaining match.

This was a great experience for me. All of the employees I encountered were kind and helpful! We bought tickets in the Members Stand and it was an unforgettable atmosphere. It was easy to forget about the heat with the indoor space to cool off in. Unfortunately, I was a little unimpressed with the food from the concession stand, but that is my one complaint! Everything else was an amazing experience.

If this is the future of soccer in America, it is in good hands. Family atmosphere, with lots of fans having a good time cheering for their home team. The souvenirs were a bit on the expensive side, oh well. The stadium is the perfect size and there are plenty of things sto do and restaurants to eat at near by. An all around enjoyable time.

Sporting KC vs. DC United was an incredible experience! It was my friend and I's first professional soccer game and we loved it! The team website was quick at letting us know that the game had been moved to 8:30. The fans were respectful and I could tell they really loved their KC team. The only bummer was that it started raining after the first half so they had to delay the second half for about an hour. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely recommend!

We had a great time on our first visit seeing Sporting KC. Children's Mercy Park is an outstanding facility. It doesn't appear that there's a bad seat in the place. It was easy walking distance from our hotel with numerous eating options. We'll be back!

First time to go to Sporting Park. I sat in the cheering section and it was out of site! The cheers were great, and people were very friendly. Since it was the first time for me and my family to go, nice fans gave us pointers on getting to some nice seats in the free seating area. We will be going back for more games!

I could hardly hear myself think at this game because the fans on both end zones were singing, chanting, beating on drums, and otherwise acting crazy the whole time. They're a riot! It was like being at a game in Europe. The atmosphere was intense, especially when KC was about to execute a set piece. And if a serious chance at a goal was imminent, the energy level in the place soared instantly. I'm definitely going back for more of this!

Win or lose. Sporting KC games are the most exciting sporting event I've ever been to. Will definitely attend as many games as I can.

Great venue, event and atmosphere, well worth the travel (480 miles) total. My only beef is that parking SUCKS!!!!! more signage is needed and better guidance from workers once you are in the Legends area. I parked in the T Bones lot, walked a 1/4 mile only to be told (due to wearing SKC jerseys) that the lot was not for the soccer match, I missed the first 15 minutes of the game.

This is my second visit to see Sporting KC. I went about a year ago, when it was Sporting Park, now it's Children's Mercy Park due to a naming rights deal with a local hospital. Still a great venue. The stadium was packed, the crowd was quite vocal, making for great atmosphere. And the home team responded with a great game, even if they gave up the first goal against the run of play. No problem, put in a sub and literally within minutes he provided an assist on the tying goal and a few minutes, headed in the winner. We had seats in the south stands, right behind the goal 11 rows up, so we got a great view of both goals. A new service this year is free shuttles running to and from the free parking lot that otherwise would be a 10 or 15 minute walk.

Sporting KC played a great game, no dissapointments there! Thought there wasn't a bad seat in the house at Children's Mercy Park, but I was wrong. Extremely foul sewer odor kept wafting up to our seats in Section 123. Hope this issue is corrected ASAP, cause otherwise was an excellent experience.

Went as a Galaxy fan with my son. Galaxy didn't look like they wanted to be there, so game wasn't as good as would have liked from my perspective- it was a tie that felt like a win. But stadium is GREAT. Favorite of all MLS stadiums I've been to so far. We were up high, but still see really well. Fun watching the fans in the cauldron- they look like they have a great!!! And they did add to the atmosphere. Fans were great. It's a great to go to games as an opposing fan and have folks talk about their team, share some inside scoops on why player x gets more cheers, what the team has been going through, enjoy the game and root for their team while congratulating you when your team makes a good play. Even got tips on where to go eat while we were there - and a good to it was!! This is what sports should be about!

Went into it expecting to see a fun game and left wanting season tickets. Awesome crowd experience, awesome game, and awesome stadium- they weren't kidding/ every seat is a good seat! We had general admission South Side seats & loved them!

Great venue, easy to view from any seats in the stadium. Convenient parking in the west side of the stadium. The game was back and forth with both teams starting off with pretty much everyone of their starters!

The park is amazing, the fans are even better and the team is outstanding. If I lived in KC, or even in the state I would get season tickets!

If you love soccer you "Got game" , It is really excited ,loud and fun too be part of you'r home town Fan. I recommend too all soccer fans that never been to a soccer game.

This was most assuredly not my first time at the Park, it wasn't even my first time in the SRO section (that was the MLS Cup Final - which we won - in 2013). But it was my first time doing SRO during the regular season, and it was better than I thought. We took turns with the other fans standing at the rail and watching the game, and the screen at the end of the field was helpful when trying to see a play in more detail. It was hard standing on concrete for 2 hours, though (but better than the Final in 2013, since it wasn't 20 degrees and there weren't 10 rounds of penalty kicks adding to the time). Anyway, I would absolutely do it again, especially if that's what it took to go to a sold-out game (highest attendance ever for a regular season game) where we were destined to defeat the first-place team! Sporting Park is always an amazing experience, whether you're sitting or standing or jumping up and down like a crazy person giving high fives to strangers!

First game here, brought 3 of my 5 kids. We all loved it! Amazing energy SportingKc. Blue Cauldron rocked with all the live drumming and singing.... best pep band!

If you've never been to Sporting Park, let me simply say that it is a gorgeous soccer-specific stadium and is hands down the best professional sports venue in the Kansas City area. This match (Sporting KC vs Colorado) got rained out but that doesn't mean it wasn't fun. Our tickets were in the standing room only section above the KC Cauldron and they, a long with the South Stand were partying and singing from an hour before kickoff was supposed to happen until after they had announced the match was postponed. I can say that I was disappointed there was no match but I've never had a better time at something that DIDN'T happen. During matches the atmosphere is even more intense and amazing. If you haven't experienced it, do yourself a favor and make it to Sporting Park as soon as possible.

You can't go wrong at sporting park. If you haven't been to a game yet your missing out.

Sporting kc games are better than any other fan experience I have been to. This includes Chiefs and Royals games. Maybe not ku Jayhawks... But still :-)

Sporting Park is definitely the best athletic venue to go to in Kansas City. Nice to have superfans in the Cauldron that won't, for any reason, stop yelling. It's easy for the average fan to get swept up in the action, too. Everyone has a favorite player, and you will by the end of the game, too. My wife and I are both big fans of Aurelian Collin - it's nice to have an enforcer on your side. Sporting Park may seem small when you compare the capacity to Arrowhead or Kaufmann, but it's just the right size for that kind of event. The stadium is designed very well. There's not a bad seat anywhere. Concessions are well-situated so you don't miss a lot of the game when you make a trip. And I don't know if they designed it to catch every slight breeze, but that happens, too - it was 90 degrees for one game I attended, 100 for another, and I was comfortable throughout. Being located in Legends, there are plenty of pre-game spots to grab a bite, and it takes a surprisingly small amount of time for traffic to clear after a game. Picture is from pre-game. Place got packed before kickoff. Our seats were one of the top rows, but this is still our view. No complaints at all.

I have never been disappointed in going to a Sporting KC game. The location, the venue, the seats, the fans, the gear, the food, the drink, and the free stuff were awesome. Now, the only thing that could make this better, is if they would win when I go!

The game was exciting. The fans were cheering despite the 2:16 goal by the visitors. It was great to see the stars of the Premiere League. Sporting Park is a great place to watch a match.

Sporting Park is incredible. Everything is top notch. Every visit is a treat and an unforgettable experience.

If you are a sports fan and you are in the Kansas City area, check to see if the Sporting KC professional soccer team is in town. This team won the division in 2013 and they move the ball like I've never seen before. The fans were very much into the game. The stadium is beautiful and there is not a single bad seat in the house. No nose bleed section. Great seating! Natural grass! We really enjoyed our time there!

Matched only by watching K-State beat Nebraska in 1998 and the US Open Cup final last year, the environment and experience at a Sporting KC match is incredible. Even with the cold, the staff was friendly and the hot chocolate was flowing all night!

This place is incredible. I purchased these tickets for my parents who were in town for the weekend. They loved it and couldn't wait to come back.

Partially because the game was awesome, and we won, but also we were standing 3 rows back and in the isle with open seating. Happiest time ever. So getting season tickets next year.

Had a superb time watching my SKC win the Cup! The event was a one-of-a-kind, but you can go to other games at this stupendous stadium.

I bought these tickets for my boyfriend Chris for his birthday, we took his 11 year old son Tyler and we all had the best time and multiple times Chris leaned over to me and said this was the best birthday gift ever!! The only thing I would be weary of is, if you have children, the language used by the "Cauldron" At times they curse a lot...Chris and I thought it was funny if it had been just us but Tyler is still a little young for some of it (At least we think so). But other than that it was a great family day!!

Excellent atmosphere in the stadium. Don't think you can have a bad seat at Livestrong. You can take a water bottle, you'll just have to fill it inside the stadium. Parking can take awhile. Once you've been you'll have a better idea of how much extra time to give.

Visiting from out of town. Large signs tell you where the members are allowed and private entries. Makes the visitor wonder where the 99% belong? Drove in off the highway and thought we would do some shopping before the game. Bad idea. Hassled by 4 different people in orange or yellow jackets asking us what we were doing. "Can't park here if you are going to the game, you'll be towed". We then tried to find the "right" place to park. You have to drive 1.7 miles away from the stadium to get to the general admission lot. They have you drive in the right land and then stop the special people in the left lanes so you can cross three lanes of traffic to get to the lots that are 900 yards from the one and only gate you can use to leave the parking lot and get across the same street you just drove on to enter the field(didn't realize that until we tried to return to the lot later). After the game we went to eat at the huge shopping center complex, again bad idea. after eating we tried to hike back to our car. Guess what? the gate next to the field is the only entrance to the huge parking complex.. You have to be crapping me. How can the merchants not realize that soccer fans would love to eat and shop in there stores? The concourse around the field is much to small for the fans at half time and end of game. The seats are too small and the space between seat backs and chair do not allow for people to pass by as they exit the aisle. I watched many south end families struggle to juggle a drink, a kid and people trying to move past them in the rows. Are we all presumed to be 120 lbs and 5'5"? Flew in from Florida, give me the Citrus Bowl over this place anytime.

Sporting Kansas City is going to be a top contender for the MLS Cup this year. Sporting fans have been waiting for this day since the end of last season and it couldn't have been any better. Beautiful weather, St Patrick's Day, and 3-0 win over New England to boot!

Despite the cold and rainy conditions, the stadium shielded us fans from it while the players played in it. The stadium is awesome.

Livestrong Stadium is probably one of the top three venues to watch a sporting event. The Shield Club was a great place to warm up at Halftime. Despite the driveing rain and cold north wind we were protected from the element's by the over head structure. The seats are comfortable and I don't believe there is a bad seat in the park. My only complaint was the constant stream of fans coming to and from their seats. I sat in a isle seat.

My experience at the game was simply unforgettable. A pk, a goal stolen by the ignorance of the ref, 5 goals all together (including the one that "didn't count"), as well as Donovan and Beckham receiving yellow cards. Not to mention the state of the art stadium and absolutely crazy Sporting KC fans. Great experience.

What can I say.... The stadium is impressive and give the owners of Sporting KC two HUGE THUMBS UP!!! Loved the layout (sure beats Arrowhead Stadium when the Wizards played there many years ago) and look forward to going back very soon.... Only one suggestion. In the open area outside the stadium after you walk in from the South entrance, it would be great to have a live local band play for the fans as they get ready for the game. It would kick up the atmosphere another notch before the game starts...

Livestrong Sporting Park is an amazing venue! I was very pleased with my experience. The game environment was perfect for a soccer match and I believe every soccer fan should experience this venue at least once in their lifetime!

We arrived at the sporting Kansas livestrong stadium & were greeted by there staff who were friendly a lad who was an expat from Kent was brilliant he made us both welcome Seeing my team practice was great despite the heat it was great afterwards we all lined up for the autographs etc Alan Pardew was brilliant my wife Mitzie taken pics of me with my favorite players ie Ameobi an Tim Krull Tioti was brilliant as well despite the heat outside etc all the Newcastle players were great to meet an greet Carver 1 of the Newcastle trainers was surprised to hear my Geordie accent i told him i have lived in the U.S.A. for over 4 years now he told me you have not lost your accent lol but was a bit disapointed as the scarfs we were told we would recieve were not available that night but told the next day by S.Kansas staff they are to be posted to us the programme for the match was a bit yuk as it was 1 page on Newcastle United i am use to programmes showing who the players are that night or day of the match it would be a good keepsake about the match the seats we had were good as well the only thing that bugged me was fans going back to there seats when the second half started it blocked our view of some of the best moments also water was very expensive $9 for 2 bottles we met loads of Americans who supported Newcastle & a couple of English people as well all in all it was a great experiance for me as i have never seen Newcastle play live in 4 years i have lived in the U.S.A we watch then on ie fox soccer etc but i still miss St James my wife an i have had some great times watching them in St James but we still support them even though we live 4,000 miles away overall it was a great experiance for me & my wife

Although the match ended scoreless, there was great goalkeeping at both ends. SKC put on a great show against the mid-rank team from the EPL 2010-11 season, NUFC.

Match was exciting and entertaining. Entry was a breeze. Not a bad seat at Sporting Park. Exiting parking was a nightmare. Looks as if the general parking has been moved from the lots outside Kansas Speedway to Community America ballpark. Following the match, it took nearly 45 minutes to get out of the parking lot. Added to the three hour trip back home made for a 1:30 AM arrival at home. Watching the games on TV have definitely become more appealing. If I attend future contests, a more considered parking location will be in order.

Sporting Park is an incredible venue. The game is exciting and the atmosphere is electric. This is our second time driving in from St. Louis, MO to see a game.

The stadium was nice and clean. The environment was festive and living. Great KC sporting fans. The seats are small for a big person like me who has a big ass. Enjoyed the game.

Had a lot of fun at the game. Sitting in the members section is the way to go. Like the Boulevard Member area.

We were in town for a youth soccer tournament and decided to take advantage of going to watch an MLS game. The crowd was rowdy - in such a good way. This stadium is the best I've ever been in. Accessible, affordable, relatively easy to get in and out, and simply gorgeous. And these Sporting fans are seriously dedicated. What a tremendous experience. For those with kids, we were in the general admission area with kids aged 12, 10, and 4. You should know we heard quite a few four-letter words, but it was easy enough to ignore and/or laugh off. Can't wait to go back next year!

Two different grown men (50s or 60s)stood up to flip the Portland fans off. Had my camera out for the second guy. When he noticed I was taking a picture he immediately made his hands into fists. Too bad this is the closest venue to us to watch some soccer. I have been to other venue's and have not seen this type of behavior.

My husband, son and I went to opening day of the 2015 MLS season. It was so much fun! The fans in the stadium were passionate and vocal. This is the second time we've been to this stadium for a game and we can't wait to come back. Sporting Park is not too big or too small. It's clean and modern. Our only regret is that we live 3 hours away so we can't get there as often as we'd like!

I was expecting this event to be the unveiling of the new jersey in addition to introduction of the new players and a kind of pep rally for the new season, perhaps some chants and intro to the leaders from the Cauldron, etc. There was very little of any of that. Not all of the team was present, and those that were there didn't stick around past the 15 minutes of "show" before all activity was centered on the store and chance to buy a new jersey - for $130. OUCH. My $10 coupon was not going to get very far. There was no food, limited choices of beer or other beverages, the only bathrooms were single stalls so there were lines for both men and women's -all in all just not an impressive event.

Great to get the new kit before the home opener. But the location was not so good.
