I've seen Mike before when he toured with Kesha, and what he's become now... there are no words. He is humble, has great talent, and really gets his fans included into his show. He sounds amazing live, and sang some of his latest songs, as well as some of his older hits. Overall, great performance and would definitely recommend seeing him live.

This was the most appauling show i have ever been to. i cant believe he actually smoked a joint on stage in front of all the teenagers that were there. is this something to be promoting to young people, i dont think so. this was ridiculous, i cant believe this was hosted by a college. i will never spend money on a concert at ISU ever again. Think about what youre promoting to young kids, they do what they see.

I was skeptical because of the smaller venue in Columbia, MO, but the concert was amazing! I haven't been to many concerts where the entire crowd was standing, dancing and screaming the entire show, but everyone was going crazy the entire Mike Posner concert. Definitely recommended. It wasn't overly flashy or choreographed or anything, but it was still very entertaining and definitely represented him well.

It would have been nice for Mike Posner to have paid more attention to more than just the front row people. His songs were even better in person than on Youtube.

Mike Posner sounds as good live as he does on the CD. He has great energy & gets the crowd involved in what he is doing. He jumped off the stage & made his way through the crowd. He has great stage presence & tells you a little bit about himself. I would definitely go to see him again and I hope his success continues. He seemed like he really cared about his fans when he was signing autographs & performing. He seems like a nice, genuine guy who will take time out of his busy schedule to make a 13 yr old girl's dream come true.

It was an awesome show mostly because it was done in a smaller place so there was great chance to see them very up close. The sound was awesome as well as the whole energy the singers put.

The concert was fun. Mike looked like he was having a blast the whole time he was singing. It was enjoyable. He got the audience involved in the program. He thanked his fans for getting him this far and he seemed sincere. Sometimes with singers and actors it seems forced. If you like or love Mike Posner I would say to check it out. :) He did a great job he sounded like himself and that is a big thing for me when going to concerts I want to hear something remotely similar to what I have heard on the CD.

Mike Posner is a lot of fun and the sound was great! He sounds better in person than on recordings. He played for about an hour... which is probably as much as can be expected at this point unless he starts doing more covers. Really appreciated that there were some tables/seating for this event (there isn't always at this venue). The warm up acts were acceptable for the most part ... and thankfully fairly short. The Far East band got annoying to listen to very quickly. And guys, you look stupid as hell with your pants falling down.

Mike Posner was incredible! He sounded great and put on a terrific show! the opening acts were really good too. My favorite moment was after he finished a song, he stood there in the lights, not saying anything, as the entire crowd gave him an ovation. He had the biggest smile on his face and you could really tell that he loved and appreciated us.

I was so looking forward to this show, and was extremely upset that it ended an hour and a half early. The show began at 8pm and ended at 9:30. There was suppose to be an opener however Mike Posner started right at 8pm. Also I didn't really feel like Mike enjoyed performing at this particular venue. However, on a positive note I liked that Mike did spoken word during his show. I thought that was a neat way to incorporate his other talents for the audience.

The title says it all! This was an absolutely amazing show. Strong performances all around from Mike and every member of his band. An unforgettable experience and I don't know that any show will be coming close any time soon. General admission and getting there a few hours early got me a spot right up front by the stage and it was worth every second I stood in line. Mike's performance was energetic, raw and emotional - truly inspiring.

I heard a song on the radio that floored me with its intensity of emotion. As a person of a decidedly hipster-oriented age, I had to deal with the fact that it was a pop song. I could not plausibly say I liked the artist "before he got big," and I knew I would risk alienating my fellow hipsters if I chose to admit liking a top 40-type song. The song itself is called "I took a Pill in Ibiza," and it is a story about loneliness and the unintended consequences of fame that reminded me of Joe Walsh's "Life's Been Good." A verse began "I took a plane to my hometown" and there were geographic references to a city I couldn't identify. Later the song went "My friends are all gone, but there's manicured lawns..." That imagery is the perfect reflection of a bittersweet homecoming or of modern America. Strong attachment to place is the cornerstone of music for me. My favorite musicians are Frank Sinatra, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Johnny Cash, Tupac, Bruce Springsteen, Frank Turner, Dawes, Eminem and Kid Rock, in no particular order. They play different kinds of music, but these musicians all convey an authentic love of home through their music. Johnny Cash sings about the draught-stricken Arkansas fields and the love that comes from suffering, Sinatra about the power and dreams of the Big Apple. Frank Turner sings with pride about growing up in Wessex, England. The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Dawes both hold Los Angeles in their songs as a mirror that reflects the goodness and grime of the world in its hills and beaches. Eminem and Kid Rock are both from Detroit, and their music somehow carries the same imprint of place that I hear in the songs of the Temptations and Marvin Gaye. From all that music, Detroit comes through as a place of sadness and hope, and most of all resilience. I watched a bunch of Posner's live videos on YouTube; it turns out he's from Detroit. It also turned out that one of his next shows was at the Upstate Concert Hall, a small venue in Clifton Park formerly known as Northern Lights. I got tickets for my wife and me. The venue was sold out, with the majority of attendees teenagers who stacked on top of each other at the stage. We stood at the back of the crowd, still no more than 20 feet from the stage. There was an opening act, a guitar/vocal duo that was phenomenal. The equipment manager sound-checked and re-sound-checked all the instruments. Mike Posner got onstage at 8:30, along with five other band members. Posner began with a song about growing up in Detroit. The stage presence was electrifying, with a chorus of power chords thrashed while jumping up and down onstage and a horn player engaging in similar gymnastics. The intervals between songs were conversational. A thoughtful commentary on racism. A plea to "Love everyone, including the haters, because if you hate the haters then you become haters yourselves, and you shouldn't hate yourselves." Mike Posner reintroduced his band with superlatives, then the opening band. There was commentary on celebrity life and on love that sounded honest. There was commentary on depression that sounded real too. I hope it was just put on for the show, but I don't think it was. The concert ended with "I took a Pill in Ibiza" until the crowd chanted for two minutes for a curtain call. There was a song about racism and more words on the timely subject. The last song was "Lean on Me," with the crowd swaying to the Detroit classic. All the concertgoers left feeling good, and I hope the musicians felt good too.

Was unsure how I felt about an unplugged tour but it was amazing. Loved the small venue. and was really cool sitting a few rows away from his parents/sister who he brought on stage at the end. Can't go wrong with a Mike Posner show. :)

MIKE POSNER is an incredible talent...musical genius...and simply one of the nicest people on the planet. Consequently...he scheduled a handful of these close and personal unplugged shows that allowed his fans to join him in a small venue and enjoy an evening with him. The Rickshaw Stop is a very cool venue.....small...funky...and fun. Seating was set up for this show and with candles burning on stage and a rug from Mike's own place....it felt like being in his living room with him. Between him telling stories about creating the songs and engaging the audience...it was for the most part a subdued evening of music. Everyone knew the words to his songs and he encouraged singing along with him. He brought a fellow along with him to accompany on the guitar at times. Towards the end of the evening...everyone wound up standing up and getting into some faster paced songs. I'm at really looking forward to his album PAGES coming out sometime this year. All I can say is THANK YOU to MIKE for doing this kind of small show....it was truly A GIFT TO HIS FANS!!!

This show was awesome and unforgettable. We saw Mike open for Justin Bieber in Columbus and thought he was amazing then too and couldnt wait for him to have his own tour. This performance was raw and intimate. Very up close and personal. Having great seats helped with that too :) It was like our own private show. Songs were great, sound was great and his performance was flawless.
