Flip Flop Beach Music Fest

I'm giving it 4 stars for the wonderful music and the energy around the music. The staff on hand was friendly. Only drawback for me and my wife was the OUTRAGEOUS prices on food and beverages. This one negative kept it from being a 5. But otherwise, it flowed good. Just try to not have any repeat songs from band to band (One or two maybe, but not too many). Could have a few more attractions during the break, booths, etc.

Although it was very, I mean extremely hot for the first few hours, we still enjoyed the event. I don't know how to control the weather, so can't give much help on that. :)

Hip Pocket, The Swingin Medallions, Eric and the Chilltones, and last but defiantly not least, THE MIGHTY TAMS- what a show!!!!! So sorry more people didn't realize what a great beach music event was happening at the White Oak!!! Truly a magnificent show and a great time was had by all!! Thanks Eric Chilton and crew for doin' it again!!!

We enjoyed the event tremendously, all 4 of the groups were fantastic, especially the Tams, Eric and the Chilltones were excellent.

Eric Chilton put together the best beach concert I've ever been too. I wish it was every week. I loved it.

Great music and a great time but they should change the name of the event because it's totally misleading. None of the bands played beach music! When I think of beach music I think of the "Beach Boys" or "Dick Dale" and not "Barry White" or "BTO".

Thoroughly enjoyed the Flip-Flop Beach Festival! Enjoyed ALL the bands, especially The Swinging Medallions. Would love to have a larger area for dancing. Also, food items were a bit pricey. Don't know how you arranged such a perfect weather day!

This was the first time I had seen the Swingin' Medallions perform. BEST band of the night. I will definitely go and see this band when they are back in the Piedmont Triad area or at Myrtle Beach. I have also liked them on Facebook. Once again GREAT! GREAT! show. I will go to the Flip Flop Beach Music Festival in 2014.

This was our second year to attend the Flip Flop Beach Music Festival, and we've had a great time both years. We will definitely attend again. Only one thing that could improve--the food selection. You're there for 5-6 hours with a very limited menu available and you can't bring in anything to eat or drink.

The venue never gave anything but a 'start' time. As such, I had no idea this was going to be a 9 hour marathon of music. Unfortunately, the bands that I wanted to hear were later in the program (the order of which was never released). So, we listened to a few bands play some tunes well, some tunes not so well, then after 4 hours of music, we had enough for the day. The chairs were spaced too close together, the soil under the chairs was uneven, making sitting difficult. More areas should have been open in the middle of the seating for dancing.

The day was one big beach music heaven!!!! All the bands were phenominal!!! My friends and I love Eric Chilton,we have met his wife and are blown away by his music!!!! the Swingin Medallions brought the house down!!! Embersand Tams - too much!!! We loved every second!!!!!

I really enjoyed the show! My first time going to one. I'd never seen the Swingin' Medallions perform before so they were a real treat for me. I can't wait for next years event. Only down side for me was the young girl from the audience who wouldn't stay off the stage:(.

The Flip Flop Music Festival was wonderful. It moved very quickly with the set-ups and the selection of Musical Groups was amazing. All of the groups had their own style and did different selections of music. I did not like the fact the facility did not have a public bathroom and only portable potties were available. The staff was very friendly. My seats had been taken up for the dance area and the ones substituted were better. Thanks

Very upsetting that one could not bring in a lawn chair. This was not mentioned on the advertisment. Drinks were way to expensive. Bands were great but very doubtful I would attend an event at the Greensboro Coliseum.

All were great!! I wouild highly recommend the festival...

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the Flip Flop Beach Music Fest this past Saturday. All of the bands performing were great, but I especially loved the Embers and the Swinging Medallions. I forgot just how many wonderful songs they had done.

This was one of the best beach music concerts I've been to. I congratulate the Kiwanis and Eric Chilton for putting this together. Even though it was a long day it seemed like everyone had a great time. I know I did.

The entire event was great! I was expecting more ppl\u2026but the group I was with still had a great time! Having the Tams as the finale def topped off the event\u2026and getting to meet the members was unforgettable!!!

The concert was one of the best beach music concerts we have attended. The best of all was the Swinging Medallions who rocked the audience with their performance. The weather for the outdoor concert was pleasant with clouds covering the hot sun for most of the concert.

Music was awesome! While i understand this is a fundraiser the prices for food and beverages border on the ridiculous!
