Rustic Overtones

This was a near perfect event for anyone that loves local music and our iconic State Theater. Katalyst did an amazing job at putting together the must see local music event of the summer.

Love the up close experience at the Port City Music Hall! Rustic is always a great show, love the addition of Lauren the violinist and the extra brass too! The music hall employees are always great people too!

All three of the artists were absolutely amazing in different ways. The whole show was captivating and entertaining, all of the bands had pleasant onstage presences, and everything sounded fantastic.

This show was outstanding! Bella's Bartok was nothing like I expected, but such a great band that got the crowd moving and kept them moving throughout their set. The Rustic Overtones were amazing as well, with a great mix of old & new music. Gutter had been sick the week prior to the show, but he didn't let it slow him down! We love the Port City Music Hall because of it's feeling of intimacy with the bands and the sound is phenomenal.

Music was great, they always put on a good show. Dave, the lead singer is a total tool. Don't expect him to greet you. He isn't humble

Gutter never ceases to amaze me with his energy! I have been a fan for over 20 years now and every time I see they are playing locally I purchase tickets and they never disappoint. They engage well with their fans and it is clear they are natural performers with incredible talent. I already bought tickets to see them again in 3 weeks! ;-)

Rustic rocked for 2 straight hours! They only stopped because they were told to. They played amazing music. This band has gotten better over the years - and I wasnt sure that was possible!

We used to cram into a tiny venue called "The Ram's Horn" on the UMO campus back in the early 90's to watch this young band. And, while members have come and gone, the sound remains amazing. A talented horn section accentuated by the sound and skill of a very talented front man, left the audience screaming for more. It was a great show, and I would recommend to anyone to go see Rustic if given the chance.

If you haven't seen them, do it. Don't wait. Amazing original band from Portland, ME. Fantastic songwriting, amazing performers!

Great time!! The Maine Bands went above and beyond giving it their all to entertain everyone! Great atmosphere!!!! LOTS OF FUN!!! Can't wait to do it again!! RECOMMEND IT!

The music artists were great. However by 1030PM the temperature inside the State Theatre had reached 90 degrees. No appreciable air movement. We left before the Rustic Overtones came on. Just too stifling to allow us to enjoy the music.

I am always astounded by the talent in this area. These 5 different and diverse groups are just the tip of the iceberg- I'm sure! All the groups were high energy/ the interplay between them and the obvious respect they had for each others music was wonderful to see.

THe show was amazing! Great local music coming together for such a great cause! Highlights in my opinion were the always perfectly tuned Mallet Brothers Band and Rustic Overtones. Spouse was great too (even though Im not a huge rap fan.) He played well with Sly Chi. Would definately go again if given the chance.

Saw these guys at the Boothbay Opera House not too long ago....and they ROCKED!! The show was amazing, so energetic, awesome sound- can't wait til they come back to Maine again!

I haven't seen them in 10 years and they haven't lost a beat. This was my 6th time seeing them. They never disapoint.

Amazingly tight group - the horns were great, and the vocals were solid.
