Awesome awesome show. David Cross has a way of just saying the things you never could say, and in the funniest way imaginable. He has his set of 'jokes' or stories, but you tell that he can roll with whatever happens during the show as well, which makes him a wonderful stand-up. His stage presence/performance was great! Definately would recommend this show to friends!

Having enjoyed David in so many of his many, varied roles it was a great preasure to be able to see him in person. I believe that David Cross will prove himself to rank up there with classic comedians as Geroge Carlin, if he hasn't already. I would go see him again if given the chance. Thanks David for a great show.

I thoroughly enjoyed Cross' performance at the CAC but it seemed like he was just running through his material. It was funny but lacked a bit of the in your face, cynical, sarcasm that is Cross' comedic backbone. Furthermore, there was a low turnout and Cross was probably wondering why he got booked in such a place.

I thought David Cross put on a good show. If you know what to expect from his standup, you would not be disappointed as the humor was reminiscent of his previous work on Shut Up You Fucking Baby and It's Not Funny. Unfortunately the crowd was not into the show, as evidence by me being the only person to give a standing ovation for the encore! David even mentioned how pathetic the "sitting ovation" was. Also, idiot hecklers from the crowd would shout out the punchlines to his jokes, which is always lame.

Show was really great. Not as memorable and good on flow of topics as his previous shows but really worth seeing his performance.

I've never laughed as much as I did during this performance. It was hilarious from the moment David Cross came on stage.

I've seen some of his videos, but in person is unbeatable. He came out singing and did a couple skits with others that made it very unique. I love that he shares his own opinion and is able to carry a somewhat serious tone with a humorous manner.

It was real, it was dirty, and down right hilarious. David Cross brings intelligence, wit, and a prop that tried to sign language "redonculous" to a packed show of fans. Cross is one of today's most real comics and comes second to none.

I knew going into it that david cross doesnt do your typical standup. From what I had seen, he masquerades a lot of hidden punchlines under seemingly serious conversation. the show definitely had some funny moments and some really great points, and some other parts that just seemed drawn out or had a lot of warmup to something that wasnt quite as funny as i would expect for the buildup. however, i did laugh quite a bit and it was an enjoyable show. i would see him again, if it were a bit cheaper. i only decided to actually go to this show because i found the presale in time to get a front row seat, otherwise if i had found it later and got a much worse seat i doubt i would have gone considering the price

David Cross has been a favorite of mine for years and finally seeing him live only solidified it. If you have listened to and are a fan of his older stand-up comedy, this tour will blow you away just the same. Obviously not for the overly politically-correct crowd, if you have an open mind and sense of humor David will make you laugh until you cry. It was love.

This show was so funny that I nearly fell out of my chair laughing. Todd was a great opening act getting us all warmed up and ready for some good comedy. Small moments that were pre-arranged were well done and this may well have been the first time I've found myself laughing about subject matter such as Date Rape, Health Care, and Heroin use.

You must see this show! Cross is on point, Sharp, witty, and hillarious. I'm a long time fan from the Mr Shows on HBO and I loved his last CD but this was David Cross at his funniest in years. Todd Glass is a perfect compliment to Cross' brand of cinicism. He was very funny, I only wish that he could have had a longer set.

I love David Cross-- from Mr. Show, Arrested Development, etc. The show was great-- the warm up act was Todd Glass. Glass seemed a little off-- almost nervous or worried (it's odd because he's been doing stand up for a long time). Cross was at his best when he was doing his most contraversial stuff-- religion, politics, etc. His more juvenile humor went over okay, but isn't what I came to see. I think performers look at WVU and think they have to play down to the audience. We don't have a lot going on in town, so people of all ages come to the theater to see the shows. Our student body includes a lot of people from NY, NJ, and D.C.-- we're not as southern as you might think.

I am a republican and a Christian, and there were 30 minutes or more dedicated to his left-wing political views and anti-religious views. Other than that, he was brilliant. I am a fan of his humor, and he was a great storyteller. He is genuinely a funny guy. The show was really good.

I thought the content of the show was vaguer and i did not like some of the topics he choose to make jokes about them..If I knew more about him I would not have wasted my hard earned money seeing him.. I know the truth hurts but so be it..

The show was excellent. Tons of new material with little hints to old material and jokes most of the audience knew. Couldn't have been any better if he tried.

I have been waiting for years to see David Cross live. A big fan of Mr. Show and his live albums, I finally got to see the real thing. The show was great, he covered a wide range of topics and hit the nail on the head as usual. He had some quirky, off-the-wall add-ons in addition to the traditional stand-up. The only small disappointment I had was that he didn't do much ripping on the crowd like I had heard him do years ago. Todd Glass opened and was good. Overall the show was a great time and hopefully he'll come back to town sooner than before.

pretty funny set. i liked the jokes about coors and various religions. i also enjoyed when he interacted with people in the crowd (not the staged people) whether it was about their phone ringing or something they yelled out to him.

David Cross is just an incredible dude. And really nerdy/dorky, er intellectual. He's so good at taking society's fallacy and weird little quirks and relaying them to an audience in a spectacularly comedic fashion. And he's a wonderful performer. He was really nice at the book signing the next day too! I love him! Damn that Amber Tamblyn and her great taste in men!

I live in Tulsa,OK (sadly) and there were only shows in Kansas City and Dallas for the closest. I drove 8 hours combined in one day to see this show and It was completley worth it. The opening act(Todd Glass) was awesome and David was incredible. I have been a fan for many years and was not disappointed, I even considered driving to Dallas to see the show again. Some aspects of the show reminded me of Mr.Show with the shill guys and song intro(spoiler). I got a t-shirt and really wanted a signed book, but the last one was sold in front of me and David was too busy to sign more,so I was a little diappointed, but that was the only negative aspect, besides the "whoo!" guy behind me.

A lot this seemed to be a rehash of old material. Using "audience" members for some of the stand up seems below David Cross. I had been looking forward to the show for a while, now I'm pissed I wasted my time. His other two standups are still my favorites, but this one will be forgotten.

David is a very funny guy. I am not inline with most of his political views, but he still made me laugh. I also enjoyed how his routine wasn't exactly perfect. He actually messed up some jokes, and mis-prounounced a word that turned into somewhat of a funny riff. I have to say I didn't exactly enjoy the kid he used to keep interrupting his show, I think he could have left that out. I brought some friends of mine who weren't big fans and had only seen him on Mr. Show. They are now looking for cds and dvds of his standup. I paid twice as much to see Eddie Izzard last year and was sorely dissapointed. I must say Mr. Cross was exellent.

Cross opens in song, which brought the audience up to spend quickly. Highlighting that the show would be filled with racy topics and maybe even some cosmonaut humor. I loved the show, and even though it didn't seem like a polished act, David approached it with honesty. Also, a sneak preview of his new show in London was a sweet treat. All in all it was amazing and had the feel of a intimate show in a small club.

David Cross provided a solid performance in PDX. He used props and a couple of other people to infuse his comedy with a sketch feel. Bravo!

This man is funny. Mind you, if you're Christian, Mormon, a Scientologist, or a Hasidic Jew, you will probably disagree with that statement. It's not that there aren't other comedians that like to take a shot at religion, but David Cross really means it. And I must confess, I found that refreshing, and very, very funny. This was one of the most civically relevant stand-up shows that I have ever witnessed, and it was a great pleasure to find myself crippled with laughter by such genuine, heartfelt rage. Yes, there was plenty of drug humor, and his trademark ridicule of people who ought more to deserve our sympathy. But it was a marathon session of original, scathing humor that left me breathless at times, and applauding. I think I'd better have a peek at his new book.

David seems a bit less angry (perhaps because Bush is out and Obama is in) but his humor was as spot on and hilarious as ever. He threw in a couple audience plants which played very well and shared a bit of film from a comedy project he's done in England. As usual, downloading with fellow attendees helps savor all the subtle details of his material and delivery. Well worth the 7 hour round trip! A bit pissed we couldn't stick around for his book signing today at Powells.
