Great show, he sounded just like his records! He sang a lot of his hits as well as the hits of other famous rockin' rollers such as one of my favorites, Ricky Nelson. Frankie Avalon puts on an amazing show and showed lots of videos and slide shows of his family, his past, and others! He even comes off the stage into the audience to sing and shake hands! I loved it!

I took my friend Betty there as a Birthday present and I could not believe first of all, how good our seats were. Wow! We was in the second row! The show was amazing and Frankie sounded so wonderful and he sang all of his songs and sang them all the way through. He came out into the audience and he was so personalble with everyone. A trust Class Act! Would I go again? Yes! By the way, his drummer is his son Frankie and his lead guartist is one of the Everly Brothers' son.

He came out on stage, and of course the crowd went crazy. I had never heard of him that much before. But I always am looking for a great concert. He delivered. With an amazing set list. He acted young, and just told jokes during the concert. Making jokes about everything from himself, to stories about his friends. Then as his concert went on I figured out I knew so much music. Especially his covers of his friends in the music industry. Then I loved the song that was pitched to him, and he liked it enough to play it. So now I want to pitch a song to him too. I need to see him again. Then his band was amazing, and he let one play his father's music( he was the son of one of the Everly Brothers) which was amazing hearing the two sing songs of the Everly Brothers. He also came out into the audience not far from me. Posed for photos, and signed signs people made for him, or anything. He was super awesome. Now I want to see him again, and again, and again. After the concert I couldn't go to sleep for several hours, as it got you pumped up. The only thing I didn't like, was that it was only 90 minutes, I would have loved more.

The show was as I new it would be--fabulous--. The songs brought back memories of times long gone. The tribute to Rickie, Elvis, Bobby and Billie was heart felt and performed by a true friend. South Phily is proud to have Frankie as a talented performer and local songman. When he returns to this area I will buy ticket and see his show again. And I agree with him and his producer. Rap is Crap. His music will never be repeated again.

Frankie Avalon's show is more than just retro. He incorporates different aspects of his past with music from contemporary artists as well as his own. He creates a warm walk back in time and stirs many memories that everybody can relate to. I was pleasantly surprised and would recommend his show to anyone looking to spend a relaxing evening with a multi-talented performer.

WOW. When I told my husband my girlfriends and I were going to this show, he wondered if it would be like some of the other shows we'd gone to with performer's of our era who, while charming, had lost a lot of their vocal capabilities. This was definitely NOT the case with Frankie Avalon. His still had his voice, boyish good looks and he charmed everyone in the audience! It was absolutely FABULOUS. Love the fact that he had his son as drummer in the band and the young Everly boy was a great addition to the "cast" as well-the Medley of Everly Brother's songs done by Frankie and him. 5 STARS!!!!!!

Hard to believe Frankie is 70 years old and still has a great voice. Also, he has his son as his drummer. How cool is that? The special surprise - his guitar and backup singer - the nephew/son of the Everly Brothers. What a night! Great show and most enjoyable.

Mr. Avalon was very personable; relating well with the audience (which was mainly of the same era). Enjoyed the mix of familiar songs and stories of his life. Also, admired the drummer and his facial expressions. A pleasant surprise was the singing and playing of Evan Everly. Enjoyed a great afternoon.

This show was AWESOME. He is such a wonderful entertainer. I've been a fan of his since I was very young. He is "knock dead gorgeous", and has all the talent to go with it. I must say, in all the shows I have been to, and that is a lot, I truly enjoyed this the most. He does not sing and dance like he is 70 yrs old. He is in great shape. I enjoyed his humor through out the show as well. All in all, everything about the show was "AWESOME". If possible, I would see it again and again.

An absolutely fabulous concert. Sha Na Na played for one whole hour and song after song. Frankie Avalon sang for an hour and 15 minutes. Very interesting concert---not just their own music but a tribute to so many from that era that meant so much to all of us. Also added the Avalon family dynamics/photos/memories, etc. and that was also a very personal touch to the already GREAT concert. Had a wonderful time and enjoyed this concert as being our top #1 concert that we have ever gone to.

Fun evening with Sha Na Na as opening act for Frankie Avalon. Both covered their hits as well as songs of others from the 50's and 60's. Jokes were groaners but the audience enjoyed them as well as the music. Frankie performs with his son on drums and Phil Everly's son on guitar as part of his band. Went with people who are more fans than we are and they really had a good time. General admission seating. Good thing there were video screens.

Has not aged a bit! It was nice to see a performer dressed for the occasion rather than the going entertainers in jeans and half a shirt.. Nice clean haircut. nice appearance. Was not boring or prolonged by another fill-in. No cusing or bad language. GREAT FAMILY SHOW EVENT. Would be a 10+ in my book. However seats, though good view, were extremely low and uncomfortable.

Took my mom to see her teenage favorite, Frankie Avalon. She was literary on the edge of her seat. Frankie sang his hits songs and other 50's classics. He shared videos of his family and movie clips. He was very humorous with his stories of other legends that are no longer with us and his family. Frankie looks wonderful too and my mom didn't want to stop talking about the show the next day. You could tell he still loved to perform and I felt grateful to be able to attend his show.

My family sees about 30 "oldies" concerts a year, including Frankie. His concert is as good as any we see. He's genuine, exciting, funny, and still a wonderful singer and performer. I am 67 and I still get goose bumps every time he sings "Venus". I love how he talks to you and shares his life with you through pictures of his movies, family, etc. I know that his tour schedule has become rather limited, but honestly, if you ever have the opportunity to see him in concert, please, don't let that chance slip by. You won't be disappointed with the performance he gives. I hope my family will be able to see him at least once more in the near future.

I purchased tickets to Frankie's show as a 2014 Christmas present for my mom. My mom has a huge connection to Frankie, because he was so popular at the time she was a 19 year-old teenager...and in love with Frankie she was, as most female teenagers were in 1969! She even named me, her only child, Venus! Mom called me right after the show and I could just hear the joy in her voice as she went on and on as about how wonderful he was, the music was, the whole experience was. My dad, mom's escort of course, enjoyed the show as well. He commented it wasn't anything like he expected, but instead, it was so much more. If you are considering this event for yourself or as a gift, I say yes, yes, yes! I'm almost certain you will not be disappointed. Enjoy the show!

I thought Frankie Avalon was very energetic as well as entertaining. I liked his interaction with the audience. And thought the musicians in the band were very talented. The music was a little too loud and the person behind the lighting would lose the star at times. Also, Frankie seemed to get off key a few times but was able to cover it up well! His voice remains very good! Loved the selections of songs as well as the tribute to other singers of his era who are deceased.

I enjoyed the February 14, 2015 show. I previously saw Frankie with Fabian and Bobby Rydell in Jacksonville Feb 2013. I thoroughly enjoyed both shows. Frankie's son Frank is his drummer. Eden Everly, Don Everly's son, is Frankie's guitarist. Frankie and Eden sing three Everly Brothers' songs. Frank made a video of Frankie's wife and eight children that is shown during the show. Frankie sounds and looks good. I hope Frankie will return to Jacksonville or Daytona.

My bride of 37 years and I thoroughly enjoyed the show. In addition to entertainment value it was refreshing to see a "Hollywood type" man married to the same woman for decades and with 8 kids! Most of the audience was folks of my generation, but I really think younger people would enjoy Frankie Avalon in concert. There was humor, nostalgia, and a true sense of family values. And great music...with actual LYRICS! I appreciated the tribute to Annette Funicello. And anyone who lives in or visits this area should avail themselves of concerts at Peabody Auditorium. Great shows, terrific theater, friendly staff, and convenient secure close parking.

Frankie Avalon is a true showman/performer. He kept the audience entertained through video, songs, and personal tidbits. He seemed to know his audience and truly enjoy being on stage and performing for them. They felt a warmth coming from him. His son plays drums and Don Everly's son plays guitar. What fun they must have touring together. Both are excellent musicians,as are the others in the group. It was one of the best performances I have seen- rates up there with the best of them! Hope he comes back again. By the way, he still looks great!!

Frankie Avalon's show was good. He talked a lot and told stories while showing videos. He only did five of his hits and did other songs from the 50s and 60s. He had his son as the drummer and the Everely Brothers son as his lead guitarist. They did some Everley Brothers songs and other tribute songs. In all, I think he talked more than he sang. His show consisted of a 40 minute set, a 2o minute intermission and another 40 minute set.

Frankie's seven years my senior and still has his chops. Not that I remember him as one of the best rock and roll vocalists of the day, but he was a major memory of the late fifties, early sixties! He has weathered the years very well and took everyone down memory lane with his hits, photographs and film footage from those days with wonderful energy and personality! The musicians who backed him up were a top notch tight band! All the audience enjoyed his sharing of his personal family life.

Beautiful building, great staff. The Duprees were fantastic. Unfortunately Danny and the Juniors are no longer viable. As a former professional athlete, I know the feeling to want to do it one more time. The quality of their performance was really weak. I'm not being mean spirited, just honest. They need to realize it's time to hang it up. The opening act, the Rock and Roll Girls are a lounge act at best. Certainly not a $55.00 show!

Overall, this is always a fun event. Unfortunately, I believe it has lost something ever since Bowzer is not part of the evening. He was a huge part of the entertainment and should be invited back. This year, we had 9 people attend together. We all thoroughly enjoyed Frankie Avalon. He is as talented as ever and put on a great show. The girl group that sang were just loud and not very entertaining. The Duprees were most enjoyable, but not Danny and the Juniors. I guess then we thought 50% of the show was wonderful. The other 50%, not so much. The venue is impressive and even though, we did not enjoy the whole show, I would highly recommend this event.

This was my second time at this event and I don't think I will go again. The venue was very poorly managed making entry a long process and my guest is handicapped and was expected to wait in a mile long line for an hour to enter - Really?? The concert itself was late starting and the 2 groups that came out first were terrible. They couldn't carry a tune and sang off key the entire time. Sometimes they sang on even though the band had stopped playing. They both need to retire from show business. It was painful to watch and to hear. The third act The Duprees were very good and still had their charming harmony under control, thank god. Frankie Avalon gave a great performance - looked and sounded every bit as charming as the younger version. He was also a great showman, sharing personal stories and memories with the audience which was well received. Would go see him again without the sideshow.

Frankie Avalon is as charming as ever! What a great trip down memory lane. The almost hour and a half show was a perfect length and full of variety. The band members are very talented and Frankie is so entertaining. He even comes out into the audience. I highly recommend this show.

It would have been awesome if they would have theater seating, and enough bathrooms available. It was hard to see, if I want to watch the whole show on the screen, I can stay home and watch TV, the whole idea is to enjoy the live performance. Why have something like this going on when you have to walk through a tunnel and not enough bathrooms. Who wants to wait in line for a bathroom as well as wait in line to get into the show. Very disappointed, every time someone left their seat to get a drink or bathroom break, all you saw was them coming and going. Won't be doing this again unless things change!

Really enjoyed and had fun with the ShaNaNa band. It brought back memories of 42 years ago when we saw them in person in a small night club. Frankie also brought back lots of good memories of songs growing up. Would definitely see this show again.

The show was great except for the bunch of rude people taking pictures and videos with their cell phones. There were two ladies directly in front of us that were recording on their cell phones with the screen glare in our face. Most annoying. We asked them politely to stop and was almost in a physical confrontation. If the establishment is going to post signs and make announcement regarding the use of cameras and cell phone use during the performance, then they should enforce the rule. The ushers should be walking the aisles and enforcing the rules. The show does not become enjoyable when you have this rude activity going on in your face.

My husband & I enjoyed Frankie Avalon's show very much. He is personable, funny, great singer, just a really good entertainer. We always enjoy hearing music from the 1950's. We know all the words. Two hours well spent.

Have grown up with him and have always liked him. More so now,...he really knows how to entertain! He is the same age as me and I'm sure glad I (we) got the chance to see him in person. With his slide show of his family,...reaffirmed his "family man" image. Thanks for a memorable show, Frankie.

One of the best shows I have seen in a long time. Both of them are phenomenal entertainers and totally had the audience engaged. They both still got it. Loved Frankie Jr on drums and Eden Everly on guitar. Would absolutely see this show again and again. I was sorry to see the show end.

Great memories of Frankie's show still running through my mind. I bought tickets for myself and my girlfriend (of 53 years) for her birthday. Especially all the wonderful memories of him as a young artist. We both sang, clapped, and whoo whooed during the entire performance. . His stories about his family and dear friends (former entertainers) were the BEST!! AWESOME, can't say enough good things about it.

The Frankie Avalon show was great and he still has 'it'. Frankie is still very good looking, sings as well as ever and is a real showman. I also enjoyed the family history and other video reviews.

Good mix of singing, video and chatter. We were wondering how he would fill up the time since he didn't make a lot of songs, but we were pleasantly surprised with the old memories and other performers he talked about.

Warm up act started late but was funny. Than we sat for a half an hour waiting for the main act. No reason was given as what the delay was about. If we were in our 20's we would have been hooting and stomping. When main act came on is was great.

Bobby Rydell and Frankie Avalon were fantastic. Every bit as good as they were in the 60's. I was thoroughly entertained. I didn't want it to end.

Bobby Rydell's voice was even better now than when he was younger! Frankie Avalon had the energy of someone half his age & was very entertaining! Fabien was ill, so a comedian joined them and he was great, too. I wish Bobby Rydell's portion of the show had been longer because he had so many great songs. Only complaint was the amount of time between the comic's act and when Bobby came out. There were a lot of complaints up in the crowd about the long wait! Otherwise, a great show at a beautiful theater!

The sound was really bad. They turned up the volume on the band and then in order for us to hear them sing they turned up the voices it was way too loud and Tinny. They sang shortened versions of all the songs it was disappointing. I was hoping to hear Bobby Rydell sing the song he sang with Ann-Margret from bye-bye Birdie that's the way it should be but he didn't sing it another disappointment for me They should go see a Franki Vallie show and take lessons from that
