Pat Benatar still kills it with her vocals. Lotsa story telling. Toto, very talented and voices still sounds great, but so heavy handed on the music that I think they could've played more hits if they'd ease up on that. Would have loved to hear I Won't Hold You Back. Definitely a fun night down memory lane, but a little disappointed.
This concert is a must see. TOTO was unforgettable and got the crowd singing. Pat Benatar was awesome and gave a great performance even tho she was sick.
What a great show. I've wanted to see Toto for years and am so glad I got the chance. They did not disappoint. They sounded great! I also took part in the total fan experience, so I got access to the sound check and also had a meet and greet with the band. They were so cool and laid back and so very, very nice. They made it a wonderful experience and then topped it off with an amazing concert.
I have followed the storied career of Toto since they first opened for Peter Frampton in Hawaii just after the release of their debut album, "Toto." Like fine wine, they have only gotten better with time. It was great to see Joseph Williams and Steve Porcaro back with David Paich and Steve Lukather. Simon Phillips and Nathan East never missed a beat and have been great additions to the band. For those folks who know Toto for ONLY their mega hits like "Rosanna" and "Africa" I always tell them the group is a much better band LIVE and that they can rock the house down, which they did at GVR! The chemistry of the group is unbelievable, and their musicianship is second to none. My ONLY complaint is that the show was too short, because casinos don't want customers away from the slot machines for too long. Another memorable night of great music from Toto...
Toto was awesome live! They played for about an hour and 40 minutes and played lots of oldies and hits. A bunch of incredible musicians that put on a great show. Everybody should go see them.
So happy they are back in the USA. They played their hits and much much more. The entire band were on fire! A mixed crowed was excellent. Thrilled they played " Manuela Run " but wished they also played "Lea." Overall a great night of music by a great band. Welcome home!
Toto rocked from beginning to end of their 1:42 minute set in front of a standing room only crowd at Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale, Az. The band doesn't get the opportunity to tour the US much nowadays and they seemed to relish the moment on Sunday in front of a very enthusiastic crowd. My wife commented after the show that you know a band has a deep catalog when the fourth song in is one of their biggest hits, Rosanna. Steve Lukather, the guitarist, did the majority of the talking in between songs and he was quite funny. Before he played I Won't Hold You Back, he warned the fans that he hadn't played it in a while and they ended up restarting the song when he forgot the second line of the song. It sounds worse than it was since it added the human element that we were seeing a live show. His guitar work and solo were nailed in the song and he joked after words about knowing the melody but not recalling the words. Another big moment was Hold the Line. The jam in the middle was incredible with Amy Keys coming front and center with Joseph Williams singing back and forth. The night ended with them doing Africa as an encore followed by Home Of The Brave concluding the set. Africa was stretched out to about 11 minutes with the bassist, Nathan East, showing us why they asked him to play for Michael Porcaro who has been sick. David and Simon played well off of each other flanking each side of the stage at keyboards and piano and, of course, Simon Phillips kept the set tight with his great drum work as always. I would highly recommend this show to everyone.
Show in Baltimore, Sept 2017 was with Pat Benatar show, completely were different fans. Toto was at the opening show, they played only 45 minutes, it was NO contest for me. Also Toto is too good for this level show and venue Hopefully next time I can enjoy another real Toto show Plz come back to DC TOTO .... we miss u
Venue did not have enough bathrooms for all the people that were there, I had to wait in line for a very long time just to get to the bathroom. Only one Men's and one Women's bathroom for that whole venue. If you wanted to get something to snack on, there where only vending machines and the line was so long that you would have to miss a great deal of the show to get something, not worth it. The meet and greet and early entry into the venue did not happen for VIP. Don't know why..... So I lost value for my ticket that I paid for right there. Pat Benatar was better than I thought she would be. I'm not a big Benatar fan, but she was fantastic. I loved Toto, but they could have played more of their hits. Too many songs that they extended the ending to. The only song that they should have done that to was "Africa".
What a fun filled event. No hassles at the venue. Toto was simply off the charts with their talent. Funny as a younger person I never really thought twice about seeing them, then when I heard and read they were touring in 2017, I could not stop listening to them. The group has gotten older, (so have we all), but their talent and sound has not. We were listening to one of the greats! Blessings to the past on Porcaro brothers, for without them Toto would NEVER had reached this pinnacle. Pat B. was very good Neil G. is also one of the greats. The venue at the Tropicana is perfect, no hassles, no issues what so ever. Rich D.
I was thrilled to see Pat Benatar and Toto. Pat Benatar and Nick Giraldo, still have the grooves, moves, the sounds and her voice is great as ever. Great energy that night Toto also jammed great. They still have the mojo!! Thanks for a great evening!
I was at the TOTO/Pat Benatar/Neil Giraldo show at Atlantic City. I did the photo opportunity with Pat and Neil before the show. They were both incredibly nice and I really enjoyed meeting both of them. I have seen them perform many times, but they never disappoint. Pat can belt a song like nobody's business even though she is over 60. Neil is an incredible guitar players and their 38 year musical partnership is clear with the level of comfort they have with each other. While they did not play all my favorites she hit most of them and sounded great. Continuing her support of child abuse awareness, she sang Hell is For Children and it just gave you chills! TOTO was next. If you have never seen them live, you are truly missing something special! They are some of the top musicians in the world, and their set was pretty perfect. With original members Steve Lukather, David Paich and Steve Porcaro joined by previous front man Joseph Williams, they definitely gave the young ones a lesson in musicality. Joesph is sounding better than ever, his voice only getting stronger with age. He did fantastic on Pamela and Can't Stop Loving You. Steve Lukather did the lead on I'll Be Over You and Afraid of Love and still sounds great! They of course do the necessary standards: Hold the Line, Rosanna and end with a rousing version of Africa. TOTO is actually far better live than on their records, so if you get the chance, see them next year on their 40th anniversary tour!
Fantastic show and great seats! Pat sounded great and Neil kicked it on guitar - classic duo as always and fantastic sound! Toto rocked the place as well - all the great hits from both acts! Also a great venue to see a show!
Went backstage to meet Pat & Neil! They are amazing! And the concert was also incredible! Had 3rd row center and the view was perfect! They played most of their hits to please the crowd! It was also my first time seeing Toto live and they were excellent as well! Great night of Classic Rock!!
The sound was terrible. Did not reflect the talent of both bands and made the ticket price outrageous. Even American fans were leaving well before the end of the show. No encore from Toto. Must say something. From a disabled point of view the viewing area was continually being blocked by fans standing up, late comers and early goers. Everybody commented on how rude the behaviour towards disabled was. Especially after paying top dollar for both the show and the hotel. Rip off.
Pat is legend. She is so incredibly talented...her husband, Neil is so well respected as a guitarist too and you can see why. I've seen Pat numerous times and she never disappoints. Toto are great at the 3 songs I know. The other songs they sang were a snooze fest. I also wish that Pat would have followed Toto as she was the headliner of the show. The venue (the Trop in AC) was nice. Not really a bad seat in the house although it was a little confusing finding your seat.
Pat Benatar and Neil were great Toto was disappointing. Pat and Neil can still sing/play like they could in the 80's. They played all of their fan favorites and they had the packed Showroom up on their feet. Toto played a lot of really obscure stuff and skipped over a lot of their familiar hits. Every song was a solo fest which got old very quickly and had people streaming for the doors. By the end of their set the place had mostly cleared out, no calls for oncores and none given. I was really looking forward to their part of the show and it was a major let down!
Pat was awesome! Wish she played longer! This was the 3rd time I saw her. First time was in early '80's. She still rocks it!!!! Toto.....disappointed. Too much guitar solo. Pat should have played last!
Pat & Neil were really great & haven't missed a beat thru time. TOTO would have been much better if their sound check had been done better.Too loud and too much feedback.

Venue setup was awesome. Pat Benatar can still belt out the songs. Toto is still one of the greatest bands ever. Just wish they'd cover all their hits rather than jamming after every song. Would love for them to include hits they skipped - 99, I Won't Hold You Back, Home of the Brave, Georgy Porgy

Pat and Neil's show was awesome, recommend it highly. Toto is was one of my all time favorite bands and I flew a very long way to see them. I had very good seats on the 4th row, so can't complain. They sang most of their hits which was also very good. Only issue I had was they sound system was fair to poor. It was very difficult to pick out Steve's guitar playing, which I know was masterful. Would travel to see Toto again if I had the chance and Ticketmaster makes it easy.

Pat Benetar and Neil Giraldo were really good. She can still hit those high notes and he is still shredding it on the guitar. They have both aged very gracefully. Toto was ok and I can appreciate that they are all great musicians but I would have rather heard more songs at their original length that the unnecessary jamming and never ending riffs. That got old fast.

Second year in a row seeing Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo -- because they sound great, made me feel like I was in their living room, and because they rock! First time seeing Toto -- forgot how great they are too! The best thing is that both acts still have great voices -- not weakened like many of the older bands that are still trying to tour. Didn't give 5 stars only because I wish both would've played longer sets.

Toto is one of the most amazing rock bands still around. It makes me mad that I constantly have to defend them, because nobody takes the time to see how truly amazing they are. To some, they are just the band that did Africa and Rosanna. They are Soo much more than that!! Listening to them play is like a master-class in music. In addition to their list of amazing songs, which is long, as even a non-hit song, they have a long list of credits to being amazing studio musicians, who have contributed to some of the biggest names in music. Joseph Williams on lead vocals has one of the strongest, cleanest, rock voices around. His vocals during a show are studio recording worthy. I have loved Toto since I was about 12, but never got to see them in concert until 2013. I live in NY, so when they came here for their 35th anniversary tour, I went running. Seeing them now live, I fell in love with them all over again, and have seen them 4 times since. Watching Steve Lukather play will take your breath away. I adore him! I really cannot say enough, do yourself a favor and see them live if you can. I got to meet them via a VIP package just over a week ago, and it was the highlight of my summer. They are the nicest guys ever, and I will do the VIP again if I can! Oh, and yes everyone, they have a new album, and it is amazing! I would be the first to admit if an artist I love had a bad new album, and this one rocks!

The band's performance was excellent. The mix was a bit muddy at times with the lead guitar under-miked on many occasions. We intentionally avoid the middle of the room because of these problems, so it was disappointing to be right in front of the speaker bank and still have clarity issues. An unexpected highlight was Steve Lukather doing Robin Trower's "Bridge of Sighs," and simply killing it. Vocals were top drawer thanks in part to the two excellent back-up singers. Lenny Castro on percussion was an added treat.

Being a fan of Toto for Decades, we've never seen them in person. When we saw they were playing in Verona, we couldn't miss them. We drove the 200 miles to get there. Their show was incredible with energetic radiance more than expected. Wish we were able to meet and greet them in person. The encore song of Africa, Rosanna, etc. keeps going over in our minds since we saw them. The feeling of their music is just explosive with building energy. Steve Lukather's solo was incredible. Keyboard Steve Porcaro, Lenny Castro percussions, Shannon Forrest drums, David Hungate bass, and pianist David Paich, orchestrated with Joe Williams lead vocalist, Jenny Douglas vocalist with Mabvuto were fantastic. What's most amazing is the precision and excellence of their show when they are doing back to back shows every night. It's a lot of energy. I don't think we'll wait so long to see them again. They have an aggressive schedule to be in many places. We are already planning to see them again and hopefully meet and greet this Fall.

Great show! I felt weird during the day about going, as this was the first gig after Chris Squire's death in late June. I remember my Facebook post when I first bought the tickets, rhetorically asking should I see them again (40th time?), and rhetorically answering 'hell yeah, who know how much longer they'll tour?" ... and then came the announcement of Chris' leukemia diagnosis and within two months, his passing. He was the only member who had been with the band from day 1 and hadn't left for a short time; last night was the first YES concert since the band formed in 1968 without Chris on stage. But he had let it be known that he wanted the band to continue after his passing, so that settled any question whether I should skip the show. And I'm so glad I went, it was a most excellent show! They started with a short tribute to Chris: his bass set on a mainly dark stage, and a video montage accompanied by the song Onward (written by Chris, from the Tormato album). Then the band came out. The past few tours were album tours, where they played two or three albums in their entirety. And those tours were great, hearing songs you might not typically hear live (but obviously at the expense of some of the more classic-popular YES songs). This tour is a nice change of pace, going back to assorted samplings of tracks from multiple albums. 'Show of the year' so far (did anyone think I wasn't going to say that?). Though I expect stiff competition from the Anderson-Ponty Band tour in November. Oh, and Billy Sherwood did a fine job on bass. He had worked with YES in the late 90's, and Chris had asked him to fill in when he first became ill. The lack of pics of Billy isn't meant as any kind of slight. I was in the Left Center Orchestra section; he was on the far right of the stage. From my angle, there was a lack of lighting and all his pics were a little blurry.

One of the best shows i've seen. This is my 3rd. time seeing them and they don't disappoint. I was standing & clapping almost every song. Tremendous vocals by all. I'm a HUGE Steve Lukather fan and i consider him one of the BEST living guitarists out there. If you get a chance to see them don't miss out as they don't come around often. Thanks Ringo Starr for playing at Turning Stone earlier this year as i'm sure that's when Luke first saw the place and probably said to himself this is a great place for my band Toto to play. Toto is back in the saddle and touring stateside for the first time in quite a while. Given the band is LA based they had quite a few friends and family in the audience, which leads me to believe they came to impress and impress they did. They had a great mix of all the hits and die hard fan favorites. The band's sound was tight and Joe William's vocals were amazing. The sound was studio quality but the arrangements were not rehash of the studio originals, moreover, fresh, contemporary but not at a loss of their original quality.

Great show! Had never seen Toto but had always wanted to and they certainly did not dissappoint! With Steve Lukather shredding on the guitar and Simon Phillips showing why he is one of the best drummers on the planet it allowed the Porcaro brothers and the rest of the band to showcase their talents as they played a majority of their hits and on several of them turned it into a lengthy jam session that was both enjoyable to watch and a pleasure to listen to. As a musician myself I have nothing but the greatest respect for bands that truly know their craft. Toto is one of those bands. My only wish is that they had played a few more songs that i was hoping to hear but were not on the setlist.

These musicians put it all out there for their audience and for their love of the music. It was an honor to finally get to see and hear them on their 35th anniversary tour. "Luke" was amazing on guitar, Simon rocked his Tama kit, Nathan laid down the grooves, Steve and David were magical on the keys, and Joe's vocals haven't aged like other bands' singers from my "hey days." The venue was intimate and comfortable. The sound was great! Prices at the bars were reasonable ... and accessible with friendly staff. I miss Jeff and Mike Porcaro but the guys who have stepped in for them are great musicians. If you want to see the Porcaro bros go view the videos on youtube. Steve Porcaro is still here and killing it. What can you say about Paich and Luuukkkkkkk? Joeseph Williams is better than ever. Thanks guys. Pat and Neil still rock. Saw them when they started in 1980 I believe when they opened for Eddie Money outdoors at the Universal Amphitheatre. Neil got the girl and the rest is history

Great show. Even my wife, who is not a Pat Benatar or Toto fan, had a great time and would love to see either acts again.

We greatly enjoyed Pat Benatar and Neil Geraldo's set. Yes, her voice isn't what it used to be, but so what? She engaged the crowd very well, and she was incredibly likable. Great, great set! Toto is one of my favorite bands, and lead singer Joe Williams was in great voice. All of the songs he sang lead on were fun and very well done. Unfortunately, David Paich and Steve Lukather, while they remain amazing musicians, really shouldn't be singing leads any more, as their ranges are greatly diminished. The band took lots of musical interludes, in keeping with their terrific musicianship, some of which were more enjoyable than others. All in all, I enjoyed their set, but not as much as Pat's.

I was more than satisfied with this outstanding concert! Pat Benatar and Neil Geraldo are still at the top of their game! It was an electrifying, inspiring and fun show. This is one of the best concerts of my life, and I have been to plenty! And, of course, the Greek Theater is a fabulous venue.

we loved the concert.. The venue was so intimate & beautiful among all the vineyards. The show was energetic & packed with all the songs that I wanted to hear. Pat Benatar can still belt out the songs & not miss a beat. I really enjoyed the on stage chemistry between the pair. What an incredible guitar player Neil is, very mesmerizing.. It was an fantastic night!!

The evening was very, very good. Both performances were awesome--true professionals who have not lost a beat and still bring effort and energy. Well worth the price of admission! Venue was great as well. Not a heavy security presence.

Wente Vineyards is a nice small venue. The show started too late (8:15 as advertised) and the setup between bands was slow. Toto didn't even come on stage until 10:00. The sound was waaay too loud for the small venue. The sound guys must like to push air. It was chest thumping and ear blitzing and it distorted the songs. No need for it in the small venue.

This was my first time to see Toto. If you haven't seen them before, I can't think of a better place than Stiefel Theatre in Salina KS. Very Intimate and such a great little venue. Toto without a doubt is the best concert we have ever been to and we have seen some great ones........Journey, Bon Jovi, Boston, Eagles.........by far Toto out rocked them all!!! I will definitely be awaiting their return to the states and their 40th Anniversary tour!!!

We drove four hours to attend the Toto concert in Salina, Kansas and they did not disappoint us. From start to finish we never wanted to sit down. We enjoyed every song they played and wished they could have played even longer than their two hour set. The two new musicians to the group fit right in and made the Toto sound even richer than before. Toto is a band that sounds even better in person than they do on their CD's and DVD's. The guys really seem to enjoy playing together and sharing their music with their fans. A very memorable evening!

Toto played Salina, Kansas Saturday night. Central Kansas is fortunate to have the Stiefel, which brings in a remarkable number of top acts. Having enjoyed many over the years, Toto's performance was one of the best I've seen and heard. Steve Lukather HAS to be considered one of the world's best, all-time, guitarists. No exaggeration. I challenge anyone to name anyone better. David Paich, OMG. Talented and entertaining. Steve Porcaro, another legend. The rest of the band...right up there, as well. A diverse set list allowed the band to demonstrate why they are all among the best musicians out there. The crowd was appreciative and rightfully so. While they played on hundreds of hit songs and albums in the 70's and 80's, it is great hearing Toto music. Saw them about 5 years ago, and this show exceeded that one. Hope to see them again...soon.

Growing up listening to Toto, I anticipated hearing songs that would take me back to my youth. I was not disappointed. The venue was intimate and the sound impeccable. I completely forgot the virtuosity of these musicians and they broke down each song and we listened as they presented the crowd with their talents.

It is not often that you find a band that sounds better than they do in the recording studio but that is the case with Toto. The band performs a lot of their classic hits with some newer stuff sprinkled in. I will definitely see them again.

No need for a long discourse - these are some of the most talented musicians we've ever had the privilege to enjoy. Two solid hours of incredible music, showmanship and crowd interaction. If you love Toto, don't miss one of the dates still remaining on this tour. Unforgettable!

Beautiful 1931 theater, superior musicians, absolutely incredible performance. I hope more Americans will come out and support this wonderful band. You won't regret it! Love seeing them any chance I can, but when they co-headline with other acts you get a shortened version, approx. 1hr MUST SEE them alone so you get the FULL concert.....STUNNING!

I've been a big Toto fan since they came out with their first album in 1978! As each subsequent album came out, I enjoyed them even more! The sad part was that they didn't tour the Eastern United States very often, and you just didn't get to see them live. Fast forward to 2015 when they opened for Yes down in Baltimore, and I FINALLY got to see them, Last year they played the American Music Theater in Lancaster, and I was even more thrilled since they played for two hours. When I found out they were playing the Kirby Center...AND I was going to be there that weekend.... I knew I had to get tickets! I was NOT disappointed! Great band, still kicking it after all of these years, with some of the most talented musicians on the entire planet! I mean, these guys played with EVERYONE! So it was definitely a great show! I can't wait to see if they're playing close by NEXT year for their 40th Anniversary tour...if you can...GO SEE THEM!

The band started on time at 8pm with a forcefull hit (Only the children). Overall again a good mix of songs, slow and fast. 2 songs from the last album only this time. In total only 14 songs on the setlist vs 17 in other US locations on the tour. Steve mentioned time constraints sometime down the show but not clear why and induced by whom. Thus show ended at 9:30pm, no encore song played. Negative to me was also the floorplan. It was an all flat floor with stools up to front. People sat down most of the time until Steve called everybody up to his feet. I prefer much more to stand in front and cheer with the band. The floor didnot allow for that. I have already tickets for their European show next year and expect better arena and show.

I have wanted to see Toto for a long time but never thought I would have the opportunity because they don't play in the US much. As soon as I heard they were playing I jumped online and bought tickets. The show was great, sounded awesome, and the venue was perfect.
