Had fun at the practice the Flyers sure know how to be fan friendly. They had almost 5000 fans for a practice. The devils farm team would love to have that kind of crowd for their games. It just goes to show this is Flyers territory not Devils. We are to far away to go to Devil games 2 and a half hour drive. On a school night with kids no way. The Flyers games are much closer. Plus the Flyers are much more fan friendly. Go Flyers !

The Flyers looked over matched against the Penguins. The fans were into the game even though the Flyers fell behind and never got close. There is nothing like a home hockey playoff game in Philadelphia. Hopefully they can rebound and win game 4. Good arena, easy parking and reasonable pricing for the food.

The Flyers came out and practiced for 20 minutes... no wonder they lose so many games!! The accoustics in the Boardwalk Hall are so bad that we could hardly understand a word that Coatsie said. Something needs to be done about that. Overall, our group was disappointed.

We drove down to AC to see a practice, not 2 drills and a shoutout, it lasted 25 mins, and there was not much interaction with the fans after, a team picture and a shoot around for those players that wanted to stay on the ice.

I looked forward to this moment.. the first time my son was going to see hockey and in Atlantic City, no less. Tickets said event starts at 12:30pm, so we arrived around 12:15pm to settle in. We were confused why the event had already started and by 12:40, the team was taking on-ice pictures and the practice was pronounced to be over? We traveled more than an hour away and saw almost nothing, very disappointed and confused... if anything events are usually delayed, not early, toss it up to lesson learned. The other problem we had is that we had tickets that said GA, Row 1, what a joke that was, no one even checked our tickets or had us sit where we thought we would, if it's GA, say first come first serve and inform people there are steps and to come prepared, especially when the venue may be new to someone.

Fun seeing the team up close and they spent a lot of time interacting with young fans, practice was very short, but close by and still a lot better than traveling. The venue is perfect to watch hockey or any other event, plenty of near by restaurants. the only down side is the expensive casino parking.

I realize this was a free event, however, we wasted gas and time to drive 35 minutes to watch 30 minutes of the players just shooting into the net. Our son had gone to a practice in 2013 at the Wells Fargo Center and raved about how great it was. We thought it would be a little more entertaining. Never again will I waste my time.

I really enjoyed the practice. I just wished it could have been a little longer as I drove almost 2 hours to watch it. I dont gamble and had my 14 yr old with me, and this was her first time ever watching the flyers, so i wish the experience for her was a bit longer.

The event was a good idea but a total waste of time. It took me longer to get there then the actual practic. If that is what a real practice consists of it answers a lot of questions why the team is playing as bad as they are. They had a long time between games there is no reason why they couldn't practic a little harder. Go thru more of what a practic is. Plus they could have made a lot of kids dreams by handing out sticks, pucks and autographs. Only a handful of players did. Like I said, it was a good idea but poorly done. Probably good for city since most families went out and ate after the skate around, um I mean, practice.

My husband and i were very excited for the event. we get there at about 12pm thinking we were early. to our disappointment we were late and it was over by the time we sat down. The tickets said 12:30 start and it was over at 1230. Mind you it was free but i feel bad for the people who were behind me walking into the arena. From what i heard it started at 11:30. meh

It was great, the players interacted with the fans as if it was a game. Even though they were practicing, they acknowledged the kids and gave away pucks and some of the players gave away their sticks. I did not go with any kids, but I definitely would take kids to the event in the future. I would recommend the event to everyone.

The practice was well done and very informative. I learned about the plays and the explanations by Steve Coates were amazing. The players giving their sticks and pucks to the kids was, I'm sure, their highlights of the day. I would have given this day a 5, but it was all too short, therefore, a 4.

I was highly disappointed with the Flyers Open Practice. The event was supposed to start at 12:30 and started early (about 12:20). It was over at 12:45. I would have expected some games, interaction, or something additional for the children to do. By the time I drove 50 minutes to get there and paid for parking, it was hardly worth my time. My children were very disappointed!

Great fun to see an open practice. Loved the opening with Mara Justine. The Flyers should hire her to sing God Bless America for every game. She had the whole audience in tears. Beautiful. The practice was excellent, and i enjoyed having the announcer tell us what the players were doing throughout the practice. I do wish they would have had their names on their jerseys. That is my only criticism plus they ran out of hot dogs very fast and there was a contest associated with buying a hot dog. It was a fun and different event, and I am thankful for the opportunity to go especially since it was free!! Thank you!!!

It was very convenient that the tickets were free giving people a chance to see their favorite Flyers, however, 30 minutes of practice was a total joke. No one practices for that short period of a time. Time, travel, gas, tolls and paying for parking is absolutely ridiculous to only experience 30 minutes of "practice." If an event like this is to be scheduled again I think more things should be put into consideration. For starters, it being longer than 30 minutes. I have spoken with MANY others who were also dissatisfied with this event. Also, with only the short time the VIP sections should have been open to EVERYONE.

Actually it WAS great because we got there a 1/2 hour early and saw the whole thing. However, the event was supposed to start at 12:30 and actually started at 12:00. That was great for us, but for the majority of the fans who showed up at 12;30 and only saw 15 minutes of practice, it was a huge disappointment. For those of us who showed up early, we lucked out and had a terrific time!

My kids were so looking forward to this event. With 4 young children my husband and I were equally excited to go to a FREE event with all the children. Because my son is with the mitey mites hockey team in AC, he was able to get reserved seats right by the bench. We arrived at 12:15p--Flyers were scheduled to take the ice at 12:30p. We immediately took our seats and 5 minutes later I got up to get hot dogs for the kids. I was very surprised that there was only ONE hot dog left at the vendor--ONE SINGLE HOT DOG. She said they were going to be closing soon and weren't putting out anymore. I thought this was strange and attributed this to the hot dog sweepstakes for a pair of free game tix. I then had to go to two different vendors to get food. When I got back to my seat with a box full of food for the kids, I sat down and the practice was OVER! The last of the players literally were leaving the ice when i sat down with the food! The "practice" couldn't have lasted more than 1/2 hour. EVERYONE was angry--many people drove all the way down from Philly and they were STILL letting people into the building who had tickets. If this is the way AC wants to drum up business they have gotten it all wrong. All it's done is make visitors angry for wasting their gas money to get here.

Despite it being a fairly short event, our family loved seeing our favorite team take the ice so close to home. I hope that the Philadelphia Flyers organization will offer more events in the future since Boardwalk Hall is such a fantastic arena. The kids really loved watching the drills and enjoyed Coatsey's explanations. The players also seemed to enjoy it as well, with a few, Giroux and Simmonds in particular, showing off some of their fancy stick handling moves in the shootout drill. After the practice was over, the players, upon exiting the ice, gave autographs and more to those lucky enough to be close to the tunnel area. Many of the players gave their sticks away to young fans, which just goes to show how much the players value and appreciate their loyal fans. I've been a fan for over 40 years and have always been impressed with the team's professionalism, dedication, and passion for the fastest-paced, most exciting sport!!!

the problem was that the event started earlier than advertised and was way too short. everyone was talking about how it ended so soon and was not as interactive as they anticipated. granted it was a a free event however, a lot people planned their whole day around it and were left feeling ripped off. everyone was like "that was it?????" we came to the event a little late (after paying for parking) and it was already over so i didn't even see any of it. people were walking out going "don't bother!!! they;re done already!!"

Overall the event was a blast. Enjoyed watching it with my girls HOWEVER.... My tickets were printed for a start time of 12:30. We showed up at 12:35 and watched 25 mins of the practice only to see the players leave the ice at 1:00. No announcement was made that practice was over but people advised us that practice was over and it had actually started at 12:00. After talking to other people they had advised us that the tickets were printed wrong and that the Flyers website had the correct time. Therefore we missed most of the practice. We drove 1hr and 15mins to watch 25 mins of practice.

I was excited to take the kids to the open practice. I know the doors opened at 11:30 and the practice started at 12:30. What I didn't know was how short that the practice was going to be. We drove from below philadelphia to get there. Not a far trip but not worth the time that we actually got to spend at the practice. Next time I would just get there at the very beginning.

Completely not worth the price - and it was free! They were only on the ice for about 20 minutes, it probably took these guys longer to get in their gear then the amount of time they spent on the ice. I know it was just a open practice, but to call it an event was rediculous!

I read nothing that said the practice would be just 45 minutes. I was seated at 12:30. The practice was over at 12:55. Are you joking? Could the players break a good sweat in 30 minutes? The real shame was all the people still arriving at 1:00 thinking they were a little late. I saw many disappointed Flyers fans young and old.
