Last time I saw Peter Frampton was in the 70s until recently he may be even better now that he's older I feel as though he's one of the best guitar players in the whole world and such a great voice also fantastic songwriter!!

1970's rock heroes Peter Frampton and Steve Miller band brought a tour de force of classic rock to Indy.last night. Each played a nintey minute set and Frampton joined Miller and his band for a couple of blues cover versions. See setlist for song titles. Borth artists are backed by top notch backing bands and brought their"A" game last night.

I am a 48 yr old man that was a fan of Frampton in high school. Peter and the Band were great as I liked the both the new and old material. He is still a great guitarist and his vocals have change little since his famous live album. He had issues with his equipment and at some points during the concern, there was lapses between songs. Otherwise, I would highly recommend seeing him if you grew up with his music.

We got to the venue about 6:30. The chicken wings were great. Did not find anywhere to by soda pop. Only beer everywhere. Peter Frampton show was fantastic and better than I expected. Only played for 1.5 hours though, but still a great show. Depending on the bands, would definitely come back next year.

The show was excellent, Peter sounds as good as he did in the 70's, time has done nothing to his voice which is surprising and he still plays guitar just as great. The band as a whole sounded very good as well. My only little complaint would be his play list, i just thought he should have played a couple more off the live album and i was a little surprised he didnt play "I'm in you" which was a pretty big hit for him as well but outside of that it was a really good show.

I saw Peter Frampton in 2001. He was very good. He played most of the older classics & did a lot of singing. He wasn't the main act so he didn't have a long set. I just saw him on July 19th at Mohegan Sun (Wilkes Barre, Pa). He knows how to put on a good guitar jam! He did play his classics, of course, but this time he really did more guitar jamming. He played 'Off The Hook' & really jammed it. His 'back up' guitar player was also really good. Peter Frampton wasn't afraid to let him share some of the guitar limelight. They must have jammed together 'Do You Feel Like We Do" for about 15 to 20 minutes. Wow! They rocked the place. That song..and jam... got the biggest response from the croud during the concert. I play guitar myself & he was my earlier inspiration. He can play rock & jazz. He can play some shred leads if he has to, but he is the ultimate guitar player. He shows taste & style when he goes off into an adlib lead. Anyone can play fast scales. Not anyone can play fast tasty arpegio leads with different syling. That's why he stands apart. I would definitely see him again. His guitar playing gets better with age and his voice can still hold up for all the classic stuff. If you like good tasty guitar playing you must see him live. I must also add he seemed very down to earth with the crowd.
I went with my husband mainly to see Frampton since I had never been to see him live before. I was really impressed by the fact that he still has it. His guitar sounds great and his voice has not changed a bit. Was not a bit disappointed, neither was my husband or any of our friends we saw there.
What an amazing night at the LC ! Scotty Bratcher was fantastic ! Peter Frampton was so great. From the first note until the last......it was just unbelievable ! While my guitar gently weeps was the song I wanted to hear and he didn't disappoint. What a show !
Great food! Fun sampling all the different types of wings presented by the competing restaurants. Needless to say the highlight of the event was seeing/hearing Frampton. FANTASTIC show!
We attend the Wing Zing each and every year if possible. We took our 13 year old son this year. I have been a fan of Frampton since 1976, however, my son was not sure that he would enjoy it. He did. All of the bands were good but Frampton has the ability to entertain a crowd year after year.
Too much marijuana, security didn't do enough to keep drunks from throwing things,(One idiot threw a glow stick and hit Peter Frampton's guitar while he was playing),beer vendors needed to refuse service to obviously wasted individuals. Other than the venue,Peter Frampton and his band are masterful rock powerhouses and you should see him and the band whenever the oppurtunity arises, you won't regret it.
Peter does not disappoint. Classic songs still rock, newer stuff is fresh, energy high. Loved the instrumentals, especially the cover of Black Hole Sun. Still the master of the Voice Box without over doing it. Master Rock Star.
Of course Peter Frampton was awesome, but Scotty Bratcher and Noah were awesome as well. The other groups were good also, wasnt real crazy about "The Elms", they were good, but not what this particualr crowd wanted to hear. Their last song "Keep on Rockin in the Free World" (Neil Young, yes) got the crowds reponse, because that is what they wanted to hear. Tried several of the wing vendors, they were all pretty good, but thought that the Rusty Bucket had the best wings. The beer prices were reasonable as well. Turned ot to be a pretty good evening, after the light showers passed .
Peter still has it. He's and excellent guitarist, musician and entertainer. I had a great time, with the exception of the The Elms, the opening act. Scotty Bratcher was awesome! Peter should consider having Scotty as the opening act. All-in-all, it was a great time.

I had never seen Peter Frampton until last night and it was worth the wait. I was an enjoyable concert that takes you back to happier, simpler days. Outside of a few young idiots throwing glow bracelets at the stage(which a couple of older guys put a stop to!), there didn't appear to be any altercations. The only thing I would have liked was more vending for soft drinks and water. There are designated drivers that get thirsty as well as people who simply do not drink.

I've loved Frampton since '76 and hoped the affair would continue and I was thrilled to see time has only enriched the relationship. He has so much talent and rapport with the audience that I wished all my 70's pop hits friends could be there, but I also wished all my serious music-appreciator friends could be there. He has more guitars than I have shoes. What a history with music greats he has, and he prefaces each song with a little story about its origination or something similarly related. His sidekick Gordon Kennedy couldn't be better either, esp. when he throws in an old Clapton tune, who he played with. We even got to hear young startup Julian Frampton, with a personality and sound all his own. Highly recommend and would go again. A great 2 1/2 hours!

If you're a Peter Frampton fan, don't miss this one. This is the first time he's done an all acoustic concert and it's was such a unique change of pace from his typical high-voltage electric performances. In addition to hearing all his great tunes in acoutic version (he adds in a few songs from other artists - I'll leave that as a surprise), he connects with the audience and tells stories about how songs came about, his career and relationships with other music stars, and even the history of the guitars (he swaps out a different guitar for practically every song). He's accompanied by Gordan Kennedy who is a long time song writer and guitarist. Peter's son Julian opens with a set of his originals and also joins them later in the show on a few songs. The venue was great, felt like you're sitting in your living room. Sound was fantastic...truely a memorable experience that I'm glad I can say I was there.

Cozy, intimate venue lent itself well to the effect Peter was trying to achieve; stripped down, homey, sitting in your living room, jamming with some mates. His guitar mastery proven without doubt as he played with heart, alacrity, confidence--needing none of the towering amps of old. His voice is solid and sure and not on the wane (as some aging rockers struggle to hold on to theirs). Nice addition of Gordon Kennedy to part of the set, and being introduced to Julian Frampton via the opening act was a treat. He has his own style--good, solid vocals and a truly winning personality. I loved this show--all acoustic shows let you know what musicians are really made of, and Peter Frampton is made from all the right stuff.

Great set! I never realized just how good a guitarist Peter Frampton is until I saw him open for YES about seven years ago. This is the third time I've seen him since then. He still plays songs from the Frampton Comes Alive album (who didn't have that album back in the late 70's?), like Show Me The Way, Baby I Love Your Way, and Do You Feel Like We Do. But he's also confident enough to do a number of covers like Black Hole Sun (Soundgarden), Signed Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours (Stevie Wonder), and While My Guitar Gently Weeps (Beatles - George Harrison). And he didn't forget his days with Humble Pie (Four Day Creep). Oh, did I mention that he's an excellent guitarist? :-) My seats were weak (next to last row in the balcony). But the price was right, won them from a local radio station!

Cheap Trick was Awesome. Performance and quality of music and Robin's voice was amazing as was Rick's showmanship while playing--loved the picks coming out to the audience. A good definition of a great "LIVE" show. Took my 18 & 20 year old children who raved about Cheap Trick's performance--constant Rock & Roll. Peter Frampton: Superb-quality musicians, Peter was very entertaining with his talking to the audience throughout the show. Just felt like his show was more programmed(short) and less "Live" feeling--came back with only one encore song While my Guitar weeps. But still a great show--guess I expected it to be longer with all his great songs thru so many years & Albums.

The night started off with Cheap Trick, who were never one of my favorites, but they had a few songs I liked. They played an hour and a half, but I didn't know one song until the last 1/2 hour when they played their 4 biggest hits. In the middle of their set, they lost an amp or guitar pickup, BC all of a sudden the sound started cracking and everything shut down and they stopped playing. They fixed it pretty quickly and continued on. All & all a good warm up band for Peter. Peter on the other hand, captured the audience right away starting with one of his hits from Frampton Comes Alive. He kept on blasting out hit after hit, changing it up just enough to keep it interesting. He even played an instrumental version of Chris Cornels "Black hole sun" which he always does. He put that song on his Fingerprints C.D. He obviously loves what he does, you can see it in his face and the faces of his band. After about an hour and a half, he closed with his rendition of the Beatles masterpiece "While My Guitar Gently Weeps". I've seen Frampton 8 or 9 times in the past 7 years. To my wife and I it's not summer until we hear Peter play at least once.

Peter Frampton is an awesome musician and an amazing crowd pleaser! He connects with the crowd better than any entertainer I've ever seen! The only thing I didn't like was the announcer introducing him as "Peter (F'ing) Frampton!" What a sleazy way to introduce such a classy musician, not to mention children in the audience. Anyway, that was quickly forgotten when Peter came out. But Peter Frampton is not forgotten... He is UNFORGETTABLE... Now... Then... and ALWAYS! We love you Peter Frampton!!!

Cheap Trick was up first in the co-liner show. Original members, Rick Nielsen, Robin Zander and (I believe) Tom Petersson were present. I believe one of the band member's son was filling in for the estranged drummer, Bun Carlos. They looked just like they are, old people still rocking. The sound quality was very poor. Do they do it on purpose so that we can't hear how poor their voices sound? Maybe. They use to be one of my favorite bands, putting on a good show in the past. They had no energy and rarely interacted with each other. Tom Petersson spent half of the show with his back to the audience, playing more for the drummer. They played most of their hits. Overall, I was very disappointed with Cheap Trick's performance but I'm still a fan. Up next was a real show. Unlike the wrinkled Cheap Trick band members, Peter Frampton has embraced the change that comes with an older body. The long hair is gone and his body appears to be very healthy. I have never seen Frampton in concert and now wish I had. Besides Frampton, the band consisted of Adam Lester on guitar, Stanley Sheldon on bass, Rob Arthur on keyboard & Dan Wojciechowski on drums. I didn't recognize all the songs, but the music and vocals were clear, not deafening like Cheap Trick. Frampton had the audience moving and motivated us to sing along. Adam Lester is a younger guitar player with lots of talent. At one point Lester and Frampton were in the middle of the stage together taking turns in a play off. Frampton does not like people using flash photography at his concert. He told us that it takes away from his ability to be at his best and he asked his fans to consider just living in the moment. Frampton may have grown up but his band sure did put on one heck of a show!

.....This review is at the request of Ticketmaster...I was a big fan of both these artists when I was a teen in the 1970's. Saw Frampton when he was guitarist for Humble Pie & then when he went solo. His 1st 3 records were okay but not stunning but he became a huge star anyway. Those who remember "Frampton comes alive" pretty much got that at this show. PF didn't suck but he's clearly a relic & I left the show early about 6 tunes in...Operer, "Cheap Trick" on the otherhand were fantastic. Their tunes are still relevant & their live show as good as it ever was. Cheap's vocalist Robin Zander is as great a singer as you'll ever see & he's still doing it !!...Cheap Trick has been around for nearly 40 years now and they're still as good as I remember them when I 1st saw them in 1977 for the "In Color" tour. Most acts with a resume that long tend to get lazy live (like David Coverdale). Cheap Trick seem to know that you never get a 2nd chance to make a good 1st impression (& they deliver the goods every time) This performance was no different....

Thirty-five plus years rocking and they are as amazing as ever! From the moment they hit the stage they are off and running and you do not want to be in your seat. Robin Zander's vocals are polished as ever. Rick Nielsen still lifts his five-neck to his face like he's in his 30's and struts the stage in a humble rock royalty-ownership-kind of style. Tom Petersson rocks his 12-string laying down the foundation while emitting his own kind of cool. Daxx Nielsen, Rick's son, provides a thundering backbone to all the bands hits. This band has always shone as an amazing example of how live music should be experienced. You will have fun and leave with a smile. Come on, "I Want You To Want Me" - "Surrender" - "Dream Police" - "The Flame" ..??...but so much more. Don't miss them this summer!!

Peter Frampton's music was spectacular. It was so good to see him live - again. He gives a good concert and is fantastic at relating to his audience members. He is gracious sharing the spotlight with his talented band. So glad we went to this concert. He is a sweet person and that comes across loud and clear from the stage. First of all there was an announcement that photography was requested to be limited to the first three songs. Later when people were still taking pictures he said unless your electronic device has a flame setting please put it away. Then people put their phones on flashlight mode and waved them back and forth like was done with lighters in the 1970's and 80's. Frampton really came alive that night.

Greatly enjoyed the playlists of both Peter Frampton and the Doobie Brothers. PF was especially warm and engaging with the audience, and both his and the DBs songs were highly representative of the way they sounded 35+ years prior from our Sec 103 seats (except for absence of Michael McDonald on Taking it to the Streets, and the vocal replacement was still good and enjoyable). Thought the sound mix for Frampton could have been better optimized for some songs (for example, bass on Do You Feel Like We Do should have been more present) but overall an EXCEPTIONAL experience and still have the Frampton tunes replaying in my head. Thought PF's mention of 2 band members no longer with us from the Frampton Comes Alive album was a really nice moment. What Peter Frampton fan can ever forget the reference to "Bob Mayo on the keyboards, Bob Mayo" on the live album? Would have been perfect in every way if the youthful fan in the row behind us who wasn't even born when "Framptom Comes Alive" was released would have just refrained from repeatedly yelling throughout the Frampton show "Get'um Petie!"...

I have followed Framptons carrer and seen him many times. This is such a special opportunity to see and hear the master guitarist in a relatively small, intimate setting with no dostractions. His voice is amazingly sound and his fingers are as agile as when he was 16 in Humble Pie! Dint miss this opportunity. Its worth much more than the price of the ticket.

Peter Frampton put on an excellent concert. He's still got it and knows how to use it. He does a great variety of his music.

My wife surprised me with tickets for this show. Our first time at the Cobb Energy Center as well. Since I had just purchased Frampton's Acoustic album, I was thinking this would be an all-acoustic show, I never look up to much about a show ahead of time as I like to be surprised. Surprised I was!! We were pleasantly surprised to find that it was a complete band show. Frampton was fantastic!! His band a collection of incredible talent to compliment such an iconic talent as Frampton! Frampton and his wing-man guitarist Adam Lester engaged in several guitar 'duels' that were of the best you can see today!

Gregg Allman played for 1 1/2 hours and still sounds great. His voice is the same as it was 40 years ago when I first saw the Allman Bros. (my first concert). All of the songs you expect to hear and some great blues thrown in as well. Peter Frampton played an equal amount of time that was a non stop show including some guitar 'battles' with the other guitarist that were fantastic. Being the 40th anniversary of Frampton Comes Alive he did all of the great songs from that era. Also included a couple of cover songs like Black Hole Sun which was amazing.

We had seats in the VIP section, row 5. It was awesome. Could see everything really well and he was so energized. You would not believe he is 66 years old for all the energy and stamina he has. He seemed very excited to be in Des Moines and of course, those of us in Iowa, who don't get everybody under the sun coming to town, are very appreciative of a good show. Everyone could feel it. My husband who just went along for the ride has raved to everyone about how good the show was and how great it was to see him jamming. He constantly switched out guitars and put on a great show. Played for 2.5 hours straight. No intermission and then did 3 songs for encore. It was 2 hours and 45 minutes of music.

I am older and was a big fan of Peter Frampton years ago. My friends suggested we go see him and I said sure -- why not. The concert was last Friday and Peter and his band can play a large variety of music. He played hits from long ago, hits from Fingerprints album that won him a Grammy, some acoustic music that he is working on, and other Frampton music that I was not aware of. He played at Hoyt Sherman and it is a smaller venue and he was talking a lot to the audience. The band was great as well. I would go see them again. He played for about three hours and never took a break. I already downloaded some of his music that I was not aware was out there. Go see him!

Being in my mid-20's, I'm not too familiar with Frampton's music, but ended up tagging along with my dad (superfan) to the show anyways. Ended up leaving the show thoroughly impressed. My dad and I both had a great time. Frampton puts on a great show!

Really good show! Anyone in my general age group will remember the double live album "Frampton Comes Alive" from 1976. It had classic hits like "Baby, I Love Your Way", "Show Me the Way", and "Do You Feel Like We Do". I actually caught him live in the late 70's ... but being a college student, lets just say that the pre-show drinking activities affected my recollection of the event. And I didn't see him again until 2010 when he opened for YES on their tour, and I realized just how good a guitar player he is. This is the 4th time I've seen him since then. Always a real good show. Though last night was kind of a short set, but that happens when the venue is a casino ... they want the people back out at the slot machines and gaming tables. I like Twin River because its only five miles from home. But the sound quality leaves something to be desired. Unlike some venues that were built with the acoustics in mind (like the PPAC), the Twin River Event Center is basically a big rectangle. When YES played there a few years ago, Steve Howe said "My, what a large voluminous reverberating venue you have here". At one point last night, Peter was asking if we were hearing the same echo he was. But I digress. Anyway, he played his hits that everyone wanted to hear, and covers of Soundgarden's "Black Hole Sun" and George Harrison's "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" (both songs are becoming staples on his set list). Was able to morph to standing right in front of the stage for the last 1/2 hour ... but they were pretty emphatic about taking pictures only during the first three songs, so I didn't pull out my camera when I was up front (I was right in front of Peter). Truth be told, I was hoping for a guitar pick and figured pulling out the camera right in front of him would hurt those chances (though I ended up not getting a pick anyway).

Getting a chance to see the man who has the best selling Live album of all-time was something to look forward to and he did not disappoint. Backed by some very talented musicians, Frampton showed that even after all these years in the entertainment business he can still play the hell out of his Gibson guitars. He played a mixed array of his work including his biggest hits, instrumental pieces, and amazing covers. Overall, I feel he and his band put on a great show, not mind blowing, but a solid performance.

Am 52 years old and love music from my early teens. Peter Frampton delivered the goods play his classics along with a couple great covers. Truthfully, the band was right on, never missed a lick and Frampton killed it. Just sounded fantastic and can still play like he did 40 years ago. Most exciting for me was he breaking out the Black Les Paul played on Framton Comes Alive .

What a night. Purchase one ticket in the first row. Peter's instramental and rythem guitar was flawless. Made a five song video that is flawless. 40 years ago at the Forum was the first time seeing him. He is up there with Clapton as one of the great blue guitarists of al time. Thank you Mr. "Churchill" if you seen the making of that album you will know its a thank you to Peter!

Jones Beach Theater is amazing. Peter Frampton was not. The Doobies were amazing , and The Matthew Curry Band was not given the time to shine. They seemed promising but were on like 10 minutes, and then we sat for a 1/2 hour or more until The Doobies came on, I would have liked to have heard more of this up and coming band The Matthew Curry Band, and less of Frumpton, and his slide show of himself in the 70s singing. All in all a good night, and the $20 all in tickets made it even better!

I have to say that this was the best concert I have ever seen. The Doobies were crisper and more together than I have ever seen them ( and I try to see them each year). Peter Frampton took me back to the 70's with all of his hits. He really seemed to enjoy playing and the interraction with the audience and I am so grateful to him for really sharing himself with us. I drove 6 hours to get to Bethel Woods and it was a gorgeous venue full of so much history. Again, I must say that this was the best concert I have been to since seeing Springsteen in the early 80's.

First off, let me say that if you ever get a chance to see a concert at Bethel Woods (Home of the 1969 Woodstock event) Center for the Atrs, go, it is a beautiful venue. The night started out with Matthew Curry as the opening act, He played only 5 songs (I wish he had played many more) and they were all fantastic. Look for great things from him. On to the Doobie Brothers: I grew up going to high school in the late 70's, so was very familiar with the Doobies. I had never seen them in concert, nor really paid that much attention to them as I was growing up. What an excellent performance Live, playing all their great hits (you know, the ones without Michael McDonald). They had the crowd going and rocking. I now wish I had seen them when I was younger too. (you know, without Michael McDonald). They played an astonishing 13 songs! Peter Frampton. What can I say. My brother bought me Frampton comes alive in 1976 when I was 15 and I must have worn out the needle on my record player playing it over and over. And though I had never seen him live, I still listen to the Frampton comes alive CD that I bought years ago, as well as watching his FCA35 Bluray concert. How amazing is it that I not only got to finally see him live, but that he sounds and plays as good as he ever did! He has a very keen onstage personality that will keep the audiance entertained. Though only playing 9 songs, the actual concert was a little longer than the Doobie Brothers performance, and the encore (While my guitar gently weeps) was accompanied by Patrick Simmons and Tom Johnston of the Doobies. Their solos were all incredible! What a Great evening!

This past Friday we saw both the Doobie Brothers and Peter Frampton at the Blue Hills Pavilion in Boston. This was our first time seeing the Doobies and they did not disappoint. Tom and Pat still have it and the backing band was tight and energized. And Frampton was fantastic! Saw him on the Comes Alive tour in 1976 and he's just as good today as back then, and perhaps better. His band, as well, was tight and everyone was into the music. This was a great show! The venue is a great spot for a show - a cozy venue in the heart of Boston with good access, plenty of parking and lots of local restaurants.

LoveDoobies
Let me be clear right up front: we came to this show ONLY to see the Doobie Brothers (DB). Although I've enjoyed Peter Frampton's music over the decades, I would not have gone to a concert just for him. And, like just about everyone there, I'd never heard of the warm-up act, Matthew Curry. Nevertheless, I enjoyed all three parts of the show. Curry had genuine talent on the guitar, and fully understands that he is simply a warm-up singer. He played well for a few songs, and then promptly left the stage. Peter Frampton had three top-ten hits in his career -- six in the top-40 -- but was a huge stage act in the 1970s. He provided all the songs (and effects -- both visual and auditory) that the audience wanted, and a lot of them were on their feet through a lot of the show. His combination of guitar tricks and voice box during "Do You Feel Like I Do" was the highlight for many in the crowd. But we came to hear DB, and they did not disappoint. Yes, we're fully aware that the DB have changed their lineup more often than Hillary has changed her hairstyle, that the group completely disappeared for five years, and that lead singer Mike McDonald has been gone for over 30 years. But the band on this stage -- which includes original members Tom Johnstone and Patrick Simmons -- flawlessly sang almost all the hits of the DB. I say "almost all" because DB has had a LOT of hits over the years -- sixteen in the top-40 -- and clearly couldn't play all of them in the allotted time. But what they provided was enough for fans of the group. It was a good mixture of classic hits, later releases, and recent songs. Frampton and DB apparently toured together in the 1970s, and they seemed to enjoy doing so to this day. There was a sense of rapport and mutual admiration on-stage that made all parts of the show a joy. One last thing to note: unlike many shows that we've been to over the decades, this one started on time, lasted the time period stated, and the breaks were only long enough to grab one drink or snack. If you're used to arriving 30 minutes late, and figuring you wouldn't miss anything, it won't work at this show.

The opening act, Matthew Curry was great. I'd never heard of him before, but he put on a good show and had a great sound. The Doobies came on second and went through most of their hits. They had a great set and were a lot better than I'd anticipated. Frampton was simply amazing. Played a lot of music from the original FCA album. There was a lot of songs I'd wanted to hear that he didn't play, but I knew that going into the concert. We had great seats (a bit pricy), but worth every penny! There's a reason the Doobies and Frampton are still doing this since the 70's. It's because they are professionals and so damn good at it. Both acts should make everyone's "must see" list.

I had a 100 mile drive to the fabled Tower Theater. I had been to the Tower a few years ago for another concert. The dated seats were lost their comfort ability and the floor was sticky with stale beer. Now, I found new seating in the front 75% of the orchestra seating area which was more comfortable. They seemed to be folding seats that can be removed to clean the floor area more thoroughly due to all the beverages that are present during the show. I found the floor was not sticky and I was comfortable in the new seats. Way to go Tower Theater. The show opened with Matthew Curry and the Fury. Never heard of this performer except for the fact that Peter Frampton mentioned him in a Facebook post. This kid was phenomenal to say the least. I got to meet and talk with Matthew after his set. Got his autograph and CDs. Watch out for this kid (19 yrs old). He reminds me of Kenny Wayne Shepherd when he was so young starting out as the opening act. Second set was the Doobie Brothers. I try to see them whenever they are around. They have a passion to play that doesn't quit. Loved them in the 70's as a teen and still love their music. Keep on Rock'n down the Hi-way my brothers! Peter Frampton was headlining this concert. A few months ago when I saw he was traveling with the Doobies; I figured I can't lose with this concert. Two of my all time favorite performances in the same night/venue. Peter also has a passion for performing for his audience. This night, he was having problems with his in ear monitors and he was very professional in handling the problem. I'm not sure if everyone knew what was going on, he was so smooth about it. After a few tunes, the problem was resolved with a new set of monitors and the show never really lost a beat. He thanked the audience when asking who was at the Philadelphia/1976 record attendance breaking concert. I was at that concert, so it felt good that he would remember his fans of old! Lastly, I a give props to the Tower for having a good selection of beer and spirits for consumption. Being a craft beer person, I appreciated having some local breweries of the Phila. area represented. Overall, I had a great night of entertainment in a comfortable venue with a historical background. Three acts that totally satisfied; thus a trifecta.

Good warm up band then BB Kings band came out to warm up for him. I've seen BB in the past and it was great. That night it was not. Granted he is 87 but he spent 99% of his time on stage just talking to the audience and his band. If he played his guitar for a total of 1 minute I'd be surprised. Frampton rocked. He can still shred the guitar. Dean Deleon came out and jammed too along with Peter's son Julian on vocals. The concert would have been a better experience without BB I'm sorry to say.

Frampton on this tour embraces the past and the present. Not only does he play his classic tunes, but he's brought aboard Andy Summers from The Police and Dean DeLeo from Stone Temple Pilots to play a few songs. Then invites someone else near and dear to him to participate with him on stage. Saw the show at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles where legend B.B. King was part of the opener. Talked a lot into the mic and not much music came from him, but hey, he IS the "King." He can do whatever he wants on stage and will still earn my respect. Peter even came out and played with the King for a number ("The Thrill is Gone").
