We had so much fun listening to voodoo and dancing with crowd.

Very fortunate to catch the show. You ll never see a finer group of musicians on stage as they celebrate 25 years of hard work, determination and dedication as well a lot of fun with the show they put on. A good time had by all band and audience a like. Band Leader, Scotty Morris really respects his fellow band members abilities as he showcases each in a swinging jam packed, just you try and catch up, rollicking good time Thank you to the BBVD for a great time and sharing your talents with us.

The band was terrific! They had a lot of energy. Their musicianship was great. We loved being able to swing on the dance floor while the band played. My husband is a big fan and was very happy to get the lead singer's autograph on their latest CD after the show. All in all a great time!

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy did not disappoint. their music filled the night with the infectious blend of jazz, big band sounds. this was our introduction to the group and they were everything we were promised. it was a fun evening and i heartily recommend these very talented musicians regardless of your age and musical preferences.

The concert was excellent. All the musicians were extremely talented and entertaining. The venue was cozy, and intimate on a lovely summer night in San Diego.

Been going to Humphrey's for over 40 years. Almost always a terrific experience. This was not. The opening act on 7/20/18 was terrible, the seats were even more cramped and squeezed together than in the past (row passages were almost non-existent), and most importantly, we waited a full hour after the concert was to begin, seated in those rock hard folding chairs, for Big Bad Voodo Daddy to come on the stage. They were good, but everything else was very unacceptable. BTW, taking videos with cell phones should be disallowed! People right in front of us thought they had to record the entire performance, with their phones in our faces, most of the time.

Great performance at a great venue. Can't say enough about them. I thoroughly enjoyed every song and every musician playing was amazing. Thanks BBVD for the entertainment. Cheers!

BBVD is one of the best acts you can see live. Nine guys who have played together for over 25 years!!! Each one with their own personality, each one at the top of their game in musicianship. I swore I was going to see sparks come off their fingers. Also - Cain Park is a great venue and the night just happened to be fantastic weather-wise.

Amazing show, would definitely see them again. Venue was excellent.

BBVD is an awesome band. We will go to their concerts whenever they are in town. I like the amphitheater at Cain Park. Good place for a concert.

Wow! These guys have been together for 25 years. They really know how to entertain! The horn section is fantastic!! If you like Swing you should go see them. Lots of fun. I was groovin to the music the whole concert. They played for over 2 hours with a short intermission.

These guys come out hot and play one song right after another. Their skill is captivating. You can t help but enjoy the show.

First time seeing this band. Definitely will NOT be my last!!!! Brought my 72 year old mother to see them and she wants to see them again as well. This band definitely has two new fans.

Never seen them before but heard great things about them... youtube presence does not do them justice. incredible musicianship, evocative dynamics, and a whole mess of fun. One of favorite shows of the past ten years. huge fan now - will be ther to welcome them at every birchmere, rams head, and related venue showtimes!

Second time seeing BBVD at the Birchmere and the show was amazing, they put on a fantastic performance and are incredibly talented. We will be back!

I had heard great things about Big Bad Voodoo Daddy so decided to go see them. WOW! What a show. I felt like I was at a broadway show but better as the music was spectacular. After every song, my date commented on how together that band was and that there "was alot going on up there". Every band member was fantastic. The only down side was that I had to sit in my seat. Scotty Morris sucked me in and I just wanted to get up and dance! Excellent show. Can't wait to see them again.

Brought my wife to the Birchmere for the first time. Had dinner, watched Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, who was amazing! We both loved it, and she can t wait to go back!

They were so amazing, even after all these years! Still the same members, still swinging in full force. Very polished, fun to watch, didn't ramble on to the audience. My husband (who is not a fan of swing music) loved the show. Thought they were totally awesome!!!

The band gets 5 stars! Big Bad Voodoo Daddy still makes me so happy! After hearing them live for the first time in the mid 90s, I was hooked. I have all their albums and just love the sound. So glad they are still around, with all the original members! Amazing! The venue gets three stars. The Canyon at Agoura Hills was a good venue for being up close to the band. The food was okay, very pricey (you have to eat to sit). Drinks were good. The wait staff was composed of 20 somethings dressed very down, which I found to be distracting. But we had a great time!

The band came out hot, right off the bat. They played a mix of old favorites and a couple of new songs off of their new album they just released. So good, I ordered the new album from their web site while I was sitting at my table listening to them play. This was not my first BBVD concert, and definitely WON'T be my last. And, can you believe it? A band that has been together for 25 years with all of it's original band members? AWESOME!

Great show! I've listened to there music for a number of years now and just had the opportunity to go see them live! They put on a great show and are all very animated. They had a guy, filling in for the saxophone player, that was fantastic! There was so much talent on stage, it was just a really good show! Can't wait to go see them again!

BBVD hasn't changed since I first saw them back in 1998!! The venue was a fantastic place for my kids first concert. The staff was friendly and seating was called by number- first come first pick- so there was no mad dash...totally safe.

If you are a fan of swing music Big Bad Voodoo Daddy does it as good as anyone. They are professional and precise, fun and engaging, retro and contemporary, in short the best.

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy put on a fantastic show with wonderful 1930's and 1940's style music. I always liked that style of music from that time period. At first, there was a problem with the AC in the Empire Theater, but that issue was resolved quickly and the show went on.

Another fantastic show by BBVD at The Birchmere Tuesday night in Alexandria! A BBVD concert is the most fun you will ever have with your clothes on! They are the best musicians, the best showmen and the best gentlemen in the business. They never disappoint. They always give 110% so you always get your money's worth and then some. BBVD is the ONLY artist I pay money to see live!

We had a great time with Voodoo Daddy. It's nice to see guys dressed in suits and singing to the music of our parents and grandparents. Very rocking, happy and fun! People were dancing in the aisles.

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy never disappoints. Their music just makes you feel good! A group that has been together for 20 years... They are so talented at what they do. They have a wonderful full sound - the horn section is superb - that makes even the most serious person want to get up and dance! :) so don't forget your dancing shoes! the show and music is appropriate for all ages. We bring our sons with us whenever we can. If you ever have the opportunity to see BBVD in concert, I highly recommend it. You will have a blast!

This is the 3rd time this year for my wife and I seeing BBVD. I've said it before and I'll keep saying it...this band is AWESOME. They always put on a great high energy show, and after the show they are always very gracious and meet with their fans, sign autographs, get pictures and so on. Anytime they come any where near me I will be going to see them.

This was my third time seeing them and every time is an absolutely outstanding show. I will be seeing them again in May and I can't wait!

I've enjoyed this group ever since I first saw them in the film Swingers, but only by listening to recordings. I wasn't sure if I would enjoy seeing them perform but bought the tickets anyway and was really glad I did. As good as the recordings are, they are even better live! My wife and I are almost 50 and my son is 18 and we all had a great time. The lead singer, Scotty, has a unique voice, great style, and a charming attitude. The band was masterful and tight. BONUS... We showed up early and was very happy to discover that a local dance school was there giving swing dance lessons. We tried, and LAUGHED, but will definitely try again! Go Daddy, Oh!

BBVD is a high energy, never dissapoints, band. This is the second time I've seen them and I loved it both times. I plan to see them again and again. Just wish they would come to my area more often but if I have to drive a distance to see them I will do that.

Everyone should see this band. Even if you are not into big band swing you will be after seeing them in concert. We had the best time seeing this band they were absolutely fabulous. A must see concert!

This band is incredibly talented and the best I have ever heard in my lifetime. Anyone familiar with the late Boots Randolph will hear that Carl the Sax player, has been reborn. Each and everyone of these musicians are a clone to the master of the instrument that they play, After they are through playing, You walk away feeling complete. I will say one thing that I feel is important and that is, Their parents brought them all up right because they are all very polite and respectful and personable .

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy was FABULOUS! I had first heard them in 2010 when I was in the state of Washington. Loved them!!! So when I saw they were at Verizon last August I rounded up some friends to go and I loved them even more. I would not have been at Chastain Friday night had they not been appearing. Took a friend who also loved them. They play such great music and have incredible energy. Every one was up dancing and really enjoying the evening. There personalities are fun and the music they play is fantastic. I am just sorry that everyone doesn't know about them, as they are missing out on one of the best music groups in the country. Next time run a couple of ads on TV or on the ticket website or something to give people an idea of the treat they are in for when they see them. Friends of mine across the country who have seen them feel the same way I do. I was glad to see a lot of younger people in their twenties there enjoying them as I feel the younger generations are missing out on great music if they don't get exposed to groups like this and unfortunately the radio stations never play them which is why I only listen to my CD's when in the car. PLEASE BRING THEM BACK AGAIN AND PROMOTE THEM BETTER TO THE PUBLIC!!

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy played for an hour and three quarters, old and new tunes mixed together throughout the concert. The guys all moved around the stage taking turns with solos. Definitely worth the 5 hour drive to see them. I can't wait for the new album! The only thing I didn't like was the seating at the Inn of the mountain gods was too tight. Sitting on banquet chairs pushed up against one and other was just to close.

I've waited years to see these guys play in person; finally had to cross state lines to see them. This band does not disappoint. They sound fabulous live, they interact with the audience, and they'll even stay for a meet-n-greet after the show to sign autographs. Great night!

The only thing lacking was an area to dance. With this kind of band it's almost a slap in the face to them to not let the crowd get up and dance!

My wife and I had the pleasure of seeing Big Bad Voodoo Daddy for a third time, and each show has been fantastic! Scotty and the gang are all terrific musicians, and they put on a polished show from start to finish. The show that we saw prior to the Napa show was at Christmas time, and they performed an evening of tracks from their recently released Christmas recording\u2026 what a treat! We absolutely love that recording, and we feel fortunate to have been to one of their live Christmas shows. If you get the chance to see them next holiday season, don t miss it!

These guys are great musicians and great performers. They each seemed to have fun throughout the show and the theater was small enough to see their facial expressions from the "cheap seats!" We will be watching for their next show and will follow them.

A band best seen in a smaller venue like the Birchmere, BBVD rocks the house with awesome 5 part horn fanfares, incredible solos, and bumpin' riffs on guitar, bass, drums and keys. An altogether unforgettable trip back to when guys were guys, gals were dames, booze flowed freely, and the music was all swing, baby. Trumpet players Tony and "The Kid" were really wailing on Tuesday night, and sax player Karl blew the room away with some smokin' hot jams. Get ye to a BBVD show ASAP!

There was copious of enthusiasm that emanated from the entire band. There was a strong stage presence from not only the lead vocalist but from all members of the band. The solos were phenomenal and the atmosphere of the club set the mood for the performance that ensued.

An absolutely stellar show! A good mix of original Christmas music with the great swing of Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. We first heard of BBVD at a swing club in Orlando in about 1998. When we got home we bought our first BBVD cassette (yes - cassette). We've been big fans ever since. It was a real treat to see them live. After the show all nine members were signing autographs and Patty got a picture with Scott Morris. What a class act!

The show was wonderful and exhilarating, and Kelly Corbin [the sax player] was really superb. My one disappointment was that I thought VIP tickets gave us backstage access to the band, whereas it only gave us backstage access to hors deovures, which I really did not need nor want!

These guys brought back the days of The swing era.The 5 horn section was fabulous.Stand up bass, piano, drums, and lead man/guitar and vocals.They dressed in the old Zuit Suit style with the hats,spats,and ties.Looked and sounded great.Of course having front row, dead center seats added to our excitement.Also they were tapeing the show for a future TV Episode on a local entertainment channel. This was an all around fun show.

As always the show was great. "BBVD" is a really entertaining group. They have high energy talented musicians and put on a good show. This particular show was mostly about Christmas tunes. Most I have never heard before, I think most of them were original pieces. I, personally, would have enjoyed hearing more of the tunes that made them the swing group they are. I was hoping and looking forward to hearing "Big Time Operator" done live but that did not happen. I think the audience was less involved than I have experienced at other "BBVD" live performances. I think this is because Original and new songs do not evoke the same kind of emotional involvement that the tried and true tunes do.

Great show and a great venue. Such a beautiful theater, and so appropriate that BBVD would bring their show full of vintage sounds there. They are as energetic and awesome as they've always been. There was just enough room to dance without feeling crowded.

I have been a big fan of this group for a long time, but this is the first time that they have performed close enough for me to go see them. The show was even better than I anticipated! They still blow you away!

A great time in a awesome old school theatre. Easy parking down the street, staff was helpful and Voodoo Daddy put on a great show. Loved it, high energy!

I've probably been to at least 100 concerts in my lifetime. Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is definitely a stand-out act. They have an obvious love and enthusiasm for the music. They're energy is palpable. Even if you think jazz and swing aren't your thing, you should check them out. So much fun!

If you like swing, you can't miss Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. They are high energy with a fantastic band, it's hard to believe that a 9 piece band can put out such a sound. We have seen them numerous times and will continue to see them anytime they come anywhere near where we're at.

This show was one of the best shows I've seen. Took my 26 year old son and his 21 year old girlfriend and they both loved it even though they never heard of big bad Vodoo Daddy until this show. I would definitely see them again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great night

It has been some time since we got to see them live in concert but they haven't missed a beat. Their new stuff is amazing and blended in perfectly with all their old classics. NEVER miss a chance to see these guys live. I don't think anyone has a better time performing than they do.

We have seen BBVD at least 5 times over the years, and this time was as good as ever. These guys, all originals, only get better as the years roll by. BBVD is a must see!

BBVD started our NYE celebration with only the style they can bring! They played all my favorites, especially those off the first album. What a great show!

Awesome Venue. Very comfortable and clean. Arrived early and walked Via the walkway to the Lakes for some appetizers and beverages. The Concert was one of the funnist concerts I ve been to. We danced in our seats to every song and the crowd was very in to the music. Big Bad Voodoo Daddy was awesome. One of those concerts that you don t want to end. The wife and I really enjoyed the whole event.

Nice mid-size venue. Band was really on. Just needed a dance floor.

Took five teenage granddaughters with me who are all great singers and love all kinds of music. We are agreed after the show that this group were all great musicians. No doubt of that. However it was all one dimensional, meaning that every song and I mean every song was extremely loud and all seemed to be one pace. It seemed like every instrument was being played to its fullest volume in every song. After a while the songs all blended into one. I even saw some people putting in ear plugs! The show needed some variation, like a nice softer song once in a while and even some dancers. It was crying out for dancers! Just a couple dancing would have been nice in some of the songs. No, I will not recommended this show to anyone.

Excellent, excellent show. More like a theatrical production than a concert. Fabulous playing all around, sound was great and it stayed interesting from start to finish. I went with very little expectation and was incredibly surprised by how good they were and had my expectations surpassed. Now I'll check them out again next time they show up in the Los Angeles area.

Excellent concert from the kings of swing of Southern California. Big Bad Voodoo Daddy never fails to get the audience on its feet. Hope to see them again in California soon!

High energy show from start to finish! Lots of fun tunes! Venue worked rain or shine, big enough to have a big "concert" feel, but small enough to not be overcrowded or feel you're miles away from the action.

My family and I see BBVD every time they come to town and they never disappoint. My late husband got us hooked on them many years ago and we love their music (of course) and their fantastic energy. Don't miss them when they come to a venue near you!

BBVD puts on a great show. They keep you moving in your seat and dancing in the isles. We've seen them multiple times and have never been disappointed. Took my 93 yr old mother to the show and she loved it.

Big Bad Voo Doo Daddy- One of our favorite groups and they are extremely talented dedicated musicians who give it their all...but sooo very very loud in this venue...a seaside tent. The acoustics were terrible. We couldn't understand half of what was being sung/spoken. We left with our ears ringing. All chairs were the same level so difficult to see their performance. A stage light bounced off of the pexi glass in front of the drummer shining a brilliant blinding light right back at you- we were seated in the middle about 12 rows back. These problems would have have been true for any musical group. I would definitely recommend the group but in a different venue with proper acoustics and proper lighting.

Concert was boring. Left before it was over. could not hear the words to the music which made the concert boring and I didn't know any of the songs they played.

Scotty and the rest of the band put on a great show Saturday. Loved it!

If ever Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is in your area make the effort to see this band. High energy and musical excellence playing live . Hope to see them again

Have seen this group several times over the last 20 years and still amazed at their level of musicianship. This band is a lot of fun and aways entertaining. Looking forward to see them again.

The band had us dancing in our seats or in the aisle the whole concert. SO entertaining and upbeat. You could not walk away from this show without a smile on your face. I look forward to seeing them again.

They have always been an awesome live band. If you re a Swing dancer they are the original revival band of the Big Band era dance era. All talented musicians. See them if you re a fan of fun, danceable music.

The sound was so horribly loud that we could not stay for more than one song. You could not understand a word the singer was saying. The constant pounding was causing my husband to have heart palpitations. My ears were numb. I have never attended an event where I experienced this problem.
