Megadeth

MEGADETH IN CONCERT: Thrash masters Megadeth pioneered one of the most brutal sounds in metal more than 30 years ago by combining biting social commentary with virtuoso shredding and warp-speed tempos. On 2016’s Dystopia World Tour, co-founders and heavy metal madmen Dave Mustaine (guitar/vocals) and David Ellefson (bass) once again bring their pummeling intensity to headbanging fans hungry for more ferocious riffs and searing solos. New additions Kiko Louriero (guitar) and Dirk Verbeuren (drums) push the group's shows to new heights of complexity as they rip through the earth-shaking, skull-rattling thrash metal that made Megadeth famous. They don’t hold back on classics like "Hangar 18," "Symphony of Destruction," and "Peace Sells" in concert, and nothing compares to experiencing the all-out sonic annihilation live.

The mighty Megadeth rocked Pittsburgh....Dave Mustaine is my favorite guitar player... Dave always enlists great guitar players to play with him in Megadeth....I think he does that to push himself....then Dave goes out and kicks their asses on stage...as Dave is a technically superior guitarist...and great singer and songwriter....Dave is the total package.... Thank you Dave for another great show.....

Never Forget this concert;worth ALL the time,Effort,& $ I went through to see it.Would do it Again Tomorrow.Crowd was Enthusiastic,SLAYER was the highlight of the evening;I almost caught one of the drumsticks Dave Lombardo threw in my direction(My BIGGEST Disappointment that night)It was like a Religious Experience, seeing them Twice in one Week!Saw Slayer 5 days earlier in Spokane,WA.,& they were as AWESOME Mon. as they were Sat.;Kudos to Megadeth for having the Kahones to follow a Thrash Legend like Slayer.Having seen them a few times before,I kinda knew what to expect;they had some tech. problems but carried the show w/style&ease.Didn't see the opening band;Machine Head was OK,but judging from the Tees I observed-the majority of the concertgoers were there to see SLAYER&Megadeth. They could make a cottage industry out of touring together,hint,hint-

three great bands, and one sub par band. Slayer put on their usual good showing, and for the first time seeing megadeth i was impressed, they did a great set. and as for the opening bands, Machine head was wicked, and sucide silence was pretty weak, the second they had anything going for them in a song where it sounded good they changed the pace and the singer started doing a really lame screamo thing and failing horribly at it.

I seen Megadeth live 17 times now and 3 times with this current line up so the name Megadeth pretty much speaks for itself because they truly are the greatest metal band on the planet. Period. So that being said theres not a whole lot I can say that I haven't said before but I will say this. The new drummer(Dirk Verbeuren) and new lead guitarist(Kiko Loureiro) are an absolute perfect match for the Thrash metal supremacy that is Dave Mustaine and David Ellefson. That is all

Being a Rangers fan, I have never been to the Prudential Center for anything. Going for Megadeth was a fantastic experience. The venue is clean and well lit. The staff are professional and friendly. And, the sears are comfortable. We had a fantastic experience and Megadeth, as well as Amon Amarth, Suicidal Tendencies, Metal Church and the Butcher Babies put on a fantastic show. Being on the floor for 4-5 hours was a bit rough but the fact that I was allowed to sit down on the side was fantastic because it gave me a chance to rest my feet. I'm older and normally don't get GA tickets but it was well worth it.

I have yet to see another metal band that puts on as good of a show as Megadeth. I've seen them 14 times now and I've never left disappointed big always wanting more. 55 years old and Mustaines still got it and sounds better than ever. As always David Ellefsons bass was flawless and Kiko and Dirk are a great addition to the 4 piece band. The only Big 4 band to not only consistently tour and put out album after album, but put out good quality albums which is more than can be said for Slayer. The sound was awesome, everything from vocals to instruments. My tickets were VIP, which came with a meet and greet and photo opportunity. I've met quite a few musicians but I've never met any as cool and down to earth as Megadeth. Will definitely be going back!! The opening acts were good but they were just the cherry on top. Megadeth is the real deal!!

When I bought the tickets, they were seated. Not my favorite, but when else will Megadeth come to Michigan? When I showed up however, to my surprise, the seats had been removed and the floor was turned into general admission; the best thing that could've happened! Everything about the show was perfect. Megadeth delivered a spotless performance, the other artists were all way better than I anticipated, but Amon Amarth was an experience I'll never forget.

Best concert in I can't remember how long. All the opening bands did a nice job with Metal Church being a standout. I have to say I was not familiar with any of them but they did not dissapoint. This was my fifth time seeing Megadeth and it was the best. They were spot on, tight, all business and had a great stage set. Extremely professional and veteren organization. Show included some humorous moments but I won't spoil. Get your tickets and have a great time. Also impresses with how fast they changed sets in between bands.

I have seen almost 100 bands live and Megadeth is one of the best. For the sixth time, Megadeth completely blew me away. Despite the intricacies of their music, Megadeth never misses a note on stage and Dave's voice live is better than any album ever could be. I thought the sound at the Mid-America Center was particularly good, probably because the venue was small enough to turn the volume down a little. I have, and always will, see Megadeth every time they are in my vicinity. They are just too good to miss.

Great, high-evergy show by the kings of metal. The new guitar player Kiko is a true shredder. They played a lot of new material from the album Dystopia that just came out. It was great! I wish they had played a few more old school songs from last records like So Far So Good So What (Set the World Afire would have been great) and Rust in Peace (would have loved to hear Tornado of Souls) but oh well I will just have to catch them again. The band was really on, the stage lighting and effects were amazing...go see them!!!!

I had a great time seeing Megadeth for my first time in almost 21 years since I last saw them in 1995 on the Youthanasia tour! Megadeth delivered where other acts sometimes fall short when touring after a releasing a new album and been around for so many years by opening with one of their greatest songs Hangar 18! It's always disappointing when you have to wait till the very end to hear what you want to hear. Megadeth played a couple of the new tracks off Dystopia and they were amazing with such great visuals. Dave Mustaine and company were relentless and never slowed down during their set and ending on Holy Wars!

What more can I say? Megadeth was, as always, amazing! The two newest members were the main reason I wanted to see the band. I think Adler is an amazing drummer and I've heard such great things about Kiko that I could not miss this show, and I'm glad I didn't. Kiko simply nailed every guitar part perfectly. The guy truely is a spectacular player. Dave Mustaine sounded great as he always does. The guy has lost nothing! And it's so great that David is still with Dave on Bass, although I always thought James Lamenzo was a perfect fit, but how can you not allow the original bass player to return to the band? The venue is ok, the parking is always tight, and you have to pay to park, which I don't understand myself. I wish they had played at the Bomb Factory instead. The venue was oversold if you ask me. It's great to see that many fans support the band, but common live nation, safety of the fans should be your first priority. Why not have a band of this caliber at, lets say, at the Verizon theater in Grand Prarie? I also don't think bands like this get the promotion they deserve. Aside from that I still had a great time, even if the beers were $11 for a 24 oz can!

Megadeth ripped through a 14 song set with energy and fearsome musicianship. Only problem was the set was too short. Megadeth could easily play a 25-30 song set of nothing but pure metal mastery. Dave Mustaine always puts on a great show and exhibits great stage presence, as does the rest of the band. Nice mix of new material and old classics. This was my 8th time seeing Megadeth and My 2nd time doing the Meet n Greet. I went with the Ultimate Guitar VIP Package and to say the least it was awesome, these guys are super cool to be around and put all rumors of un-cool to rest. Being it was the 1st show of the tour I expected somethings would mess up but these guys played one of the best shows I've ever seen them do, no mistakes, great sound and stage set up was rad! Only a 13 song setlist but they nailed all the hits. They played only one song off Super Collider which I was fine with. I figured this might be the last time I go see them but with the professionalism they played with I'm sure I will go again. I'm bias on the band themselves but I loved the venue and they really did play kick ass. If you've never seen them then this tour will not disappoint.

got there a bit late and missed the first bands, but the last ones made up for it. throwing slash in the mix kind of confused the tru-metal fans, but his set was more upbeat than normal so it worked fine. black label, always a great show, wylde is such a talent. megadeth, well, what can you say? a little 'countdown' heavy (at the expense of other hits), but it's the anniversary of the album, so you live with it. i hope mustaine has found a new, lasting cover song to do each night, i was tired of 'anarchy.'

The show was awesome! But why put "no moshing" and "no crowd surfing" on the pit wristbands if it cannot be enforced??? That's my only complaint about the freaking awesome show that we drove 5 hours to see. Aggressive Obnoxious Dangerous jerks in the pit. Absolutely no consideration for other fans. I went to the Megadeth concert at the Palladium Ballroom in Dallas, Texas on December 2, 2009. Megadeth was phenomenal as always!!! They played for approximately 2 hours and gave the fans 110% of themselves. They played a wide variety of Megadeth music spanning the bands whole career. Dave Mustaine was amazing with his unique vocal sound and all the exceptional guitar playing that he has always put forth at every concert that I have seen him at. He was exciting to watch and the energy he gives off could be felt by every fan. He totally rocked. Chris, James and Shawn were exceptional, also. The band puts everything they have into their performance. The crowd of fans yelled, screamed, and pumped their fists the whole concert. I could feel the music through my whole body and I never wanted it to stop. We all banged our heads to every song. I would recommend going to a Megadeth concert any chance you get.

Wow! What an amazing concert, all of the bands performed well. Megadeth, of course, outgunned the rest. And on top of them playing all my favorite hits, I got to meet Dave and James after the show, in which Dave proceeded to break my cd case to get the back cover out, to personally give me a second signature for my little brother. Thank you Megadeth! Thank you Dave and James!

This was my first time seeing Megadeth. They are my favorite band, and I was always hoping to see them one day. The second I saw these tickets for sale(pre-order), I ordered balcony seats for me and 2 friends. I had heard that Megadeth was a great show, but I wanted to experience it first-hand. I won Meet N' Greet passes to go backstage before the show from the fanclub, and that about sealed the deal, though. The band members were all so incredibly sweet and gracious, and Dave Mustaine took time to talk to me personally for about 4-5 minutes. The show itself was mind-blowing. The opening acts were good, but Megadeth wiped the stage with them! The crowd's energy was incredible and the band played up to their full potential. It was really a great night, and all of the neck pain and fuzzy hearing the next day was so worth it! If you buy tickets to see Megadeth no matter who else they're playing with, I guarantee that you will not be disappointed.

Overall all 4 bands was great, dont know much about Arcanium or Suicide Silence but they proved themselves to definatly make their way onto my ipod. Machine Head were as hard as I hoped them to be, great mixture of metal. Then you have....MEGADETH...Its hard to put into words of how much I loved seeing them...it made the 40 years i've lived worth while...I've seen Metallica a couple of times and either time didnt come close to how hard MEGADETH rocked the house....makes me cant wait till they come back..I can honestly say now.....I will Always take time out to see MEGADETH if they come anywhere near....

Megadeth played some classic older songs from Peace Sells .. But Who's Buying? They sounded great and were really into it. The crowd was also really into it. I wish the guitars' volume was a little bit higher and the vocals too. However, Megadeth kicked ass throughout their setlist and did not take any prisoners. I arrived to the venue around 9pm because I was really only interested in seeing Megadeth but they actually started at 9:35pm. Overall, great show. I am not from the area so I had a very hard time finding the venue. The address is wrong or my GPS is wrong. The venue is actually near the Best Buy in that mall area.

Hqmpton Beach Casino is one of the best places to see a show. The acoustics are perfect and no matter where you stand you can see the stage; provided there are no trees standing in front of you. The staff is great. I will always jump at the chance to see a show there!

Been to many shows this summer. Seen a lot of older bands. Some can't keep up. Megadeath wasn't one of those. The talent and the musicianship was awesome!! Dave's vocals where like it was 1989 again. Great show I know my neck hurts from head banging all night!!!!

They managed to squeak out about an hour and 20 minutes or so of music. They performed well, sounded good but seriously? For $60 at least pretend you want to play music. Rubbed me the wrong way a little. Is old fans don't get out much and when we do it's nice to make it an evening not an hour.

It was amazing to see Dave Mustaine and Dave Ellefson still shredding like beasts after 30 years on stage! Explosive show from all members, who had a lot of energy; good stage theatrics, too. Dave Mustaine was a little in his own world, like he had something on his mind, but he was still interactive with the crowd, and witty. Their set was an hour and 10 minutes, which was perfect for a Sunday night so that the concert didn't get out too late.

I am not a huge Megadeath fan however they blew me away. As a fan of all kinds of music my nephew and I greatly enjoyed the show. 4 rows back and I caught a pick from Dave. Shred on Megadeath.

From the first note of the first song to the last scowl from Dave Mustaine, Megadeth brought their "A game" to Hampton Beach. With a great mixture of songs new and not so new, Megadeth proved to everyone once again that there is a good reason why they continue to sell out venues all over the world. The crowd loved every second of it (unless you were one that got body slammed or punched in the face while participating in the pit.) The crowd knew every word of every song, and the band seemed to appreciate this. Great show!

This was my first megadeth concert, not really familiar with their music, but went with my husband and friends. The first band (Mammothor) came out and started playing and I was blown away, they were so good! When Megadeth came out, holy shit, they rocked the place. It was so heavy, I could feel it in my chest, the lights were going and I became a fan! I can't wait to see them again, and this chick is now a heavy metal fan (and I'm 51!!)

Loved the small venue. Gave the opportunity to see a world class band in an intimate setting. Never heard opening band KYNG before. They were a trio that incorporated thrash, blues, and psychedelic jam sounds. They had excellent vocal harmonies. The lead singer really SANG!! Not growled. Reminded me of a cross between Cornell and singer from System.. Megadeth still loves what they so and you can feel it. Great hi-tech stage displays/ graphics. It was so.refreshing to hear an established no bullshit band that sings about issues that don't insult our intelligence. Crowd was like a brotherhood and sisterhood. Lots of good conversation. Insane guitar ability. The real deal. Not a rip off. Hell-Yeah!

This was my first time seeing Megadeth live, and I definitely want to see them play again on their next tour. They played an outstanding show and the setlist (not including the whole Countdown to Extinction album) was well-chosen. I also enjoyed the the theater where the concert took place.
