Amos Lee, David Gray & The L.A Philharmonic on one stage, need I say more? What a truly great concert! New found respect for Amos Lee, not only a tremendous and gifted singer/songwriter, he is also quite gracious, humble and engaging. The delightful music of David Gray and Amos Lee is given such a dramatic compliment with the sound of the amazing orchestra. Amazing night of great music!

The night was perfect. Rachel Yamagata left us wanting much more from her shorter set. Beautiful voice, perfect sound, wonderfully simple music. Amos Lee was fantastic, crowd knew him well obviously and there was much dancing and yelling. He was very personable on stage. Gray was perfect, couldn't believe how pure his voice sounded, and his band was absolute first rate. Loved the venue, loved the weather, the sound, the performers....perfect night.

All of the performers were awesome- esp the woman, but had we had known that David was coming on at 9pm we would have come to the event much much later..... we had arrived at 3pm - 6 hours later it was time to leave. Next time please give a rough end time.

A first rate line up form start to finish. All artists were fabulous. The sound was acoustical heaven. Words clear and volume just right. Well run, short breaks, wonderful venue, Nice to have a reserved seat for this long afternoon. Great beer and food. Lots of fun! Highly recommend it. Thanks to the The Mountain. Love you guys!

I will take ANY chance to see David Gray. And not complain. But you did ask, sooooo.... The Good: David Gray can really sing. I will see the man perform EVERY single chance I can get. He commands your attention while he performs and knows what he's doing onstage. Howie Day blew some minds with his looping talent. Ingrid Michaelson won over the crowd with her quick quips and catchy tunes. Even with an interpolation of Vanilla Ice and The Fresh Prince into her radio hit! The other performers had their moments too. The Bad: 1. I would've enjoyed seeing a buildup of the intensity of performers. The guy/girl/guy/girl sequencing was OK, but with mixed-in solo acoustic acts, it was probably the least exciting concert I've ever been to. There was no way to build up, so when a quiet solo voice came onstage.... Phhhhhheeeeewwwwwwww, the air gets let out of the room. No one even stood up for David Gray. A few performers even mentioned how weird it was. 2. David Gray onstage for barely over 1 hour. I LOVE that he headlined, but I would've enjoyed less of the warmup acts and more David Gray. For a 6 hour show, you'd think the headliner would get more than 60 minutes.... Overall, I still really enjoyed the show. But I'm beginning to learn to stay away from "103.7 Mountain" produced shows. They tend to overcrowd the lineup to the point of short-changing the headliner. I guess that's by design, but it's not fun when that headliner is one of your favorite performers.

Marymoor is the perfect venue on a warm mid-September evening. Easy to get to, bring the cooler of sandwiches, get some beer on tap, relax in the lawn chairs and see two of my favorites on stage. Ray LaMontagne with his husky, sensitive style was the perfect lead in to the head bobbing, energetic, lovably fabulous David Gray. His band is tight and the acoustics were perfect. Hope they come back again soon!!! Loved it.

Serena Ryder warmed us up. Ray Lamontagne and the Pariah Dogs brought a perfect set, complete with their full-on bluesy sound along with some solo acoustic songs from Ray. Then David Gray brought his timeless voice along to top it all off. Favorites and new stuff were mixed in his set. And even though he was suffering from a sore throat, it was a great show. Great weather and an amazing quaint venue. But the highlight of the show was Ray. Loved his energy and his outgoing set.

This was my first concert here in the states and i was kind of afraid on how the sound was going to be, the place was, and all of that stuff. For me paying 50 dollars for a concert is too much with that money in the last place I lived I could have gone to a 2 day festival. I got there A Little bit early cause I had no Idea where it was, and once I got there I saw that the place was empty I freaked out, I knew he wasn't that big here but never thought the place was going to be empty empty. 730 was almost there and the place had some people and I was starting to feel better the place wasn't full or anything but at least I wasn't the only one. The opening band started playing (phosphorescent) and the place was half full, The sound was awesome, the band was unbelievable, I couldn't ask for more. David Gray started and the place Was completely packed, Again the Sound was great, the night was great, He was great too! He did play his most popular songs but he shuffeled between old and new so it was great! Again this was my first concert here in the states and If David Gray was this great I cant wait too see other concerts in that venue.

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome...can I say Awesome one more time! Both the headliner, David Gray, and just as importantly the band that supports him are amazing musicians....great music, great songwriting, and on top of that a great live performance. It all feels very personal....it was interesting to hear that the acoustic set in the middle of the show is not planned ahead of time. You can easily see how much he enjoys what he does for living.

David Gray sounds absoutely amazing live! Its true! He sounds just like he does on his recordings-fantastic! He was full of energy, and he rocked the guitar, piano, and harmonica (sp?). I wish he could have made it to Tulsa on this tour. That would have cut down our total drive time by 8 hours haha, but it was defintely worth it! I would love to see him again!

We really enjoyed the concert , Music second to no one but the light show really messed it up. I was watching people all around me with their eyes closed . During almost every song they would point the lights right in the eyes of the audience. We were on the second level, I dont know if it was like that on the floor. We were with someone who left early just because of the lights!!!! It was painful

What a way to bring in the new year. 2010 started with a bang. I've seen David Gray four times live and this was by far the best. Of course every show is amazing, but actually bringing in the new year in concert is an unforgettable experience. If you have the chance to see David Gray live take it. It is well worth the money. You will not be disappointed.

I had only recently come to know David Gray (earlier in the spring of this year) and was really taken by both his lyrics and his vocal style. I discovered that he was coming to Los Angeles and got tickets, not knowing what kind of live performance he would present. Well, he was just wonderful. He and his band were extremely well rehearsed, and showed no signs of fatigue at what was the end of this year's long tour. David was emotive and emotional, improvised with daring, and yet was surprisingly self-contained and modest in his aspect. There was a great warmth in the Orpheum, induced by the wonderful warm-up act of Lisa Hannigan, and it carried through to the end of the performance. I will make it a point to attend his concerts.

I think this was the 7th time we've seen David dating back to 1997. The last few have been good but he didn't seem to be having real fun playing until this one. He clearly enjoyed himself which made the experience even better for the crowd. Great performance in a great venue. The Orpheum could use some more rest rooms but the staff are always great.

David Gray did it again. He brought to life all of his amazing new work, and freshed up everyone's favorites from the recent past. "Babylon" turned into a sing-a-long that could probably have been heard out on the street. The stage was simple, yet dramatic with the mini light show in the background that complimented every song they played. The only thing the show was lacking was a few songs from his past. When is the last time he has performed songs from "A Century Ends" or "Sell, Sell, Sell" or "Flesh"? Overall a wonderful show. Hopefully it won't be another 5 years before he makes it back to the Twin Cities.

From the time he arrived center stage until the time he performed an unbelievable encore, David Gray had the crowd estatic. He never pauses or wastes even a few seconds while moving back and forth form the baby grand piano to his collection of guitars. He is a masterful story teller with his wonderful collection of songs that he plays and sings with unbelieveable energy. He puts every ounce of himself behind each of the songs that have made him so popular amongst his followers. And, I'm sure he amassed many more faithful followers among those who were lucky enough to experience his performance that evening-- at the Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He performed for well over two hours, navigating through favorites and new material alike. Each song was delivered with astounding intensity by this one man act-- performing every song from his heart and mesmerizing the audience with his musical abilities. A wonderful performance. A must see performance if he comes your way.

I am a huge fan of David Gray but had never seen him in person. I was thrilled he was going to perform in Ann Arbor at an historic theater no less. First, the sound was terrible, which was inexcusable. Yet, I expected energy for one thing, a "spark" ... he seemed tired. There was little banter or connection with the audience save perhaps with the first 15 rows? He sang off key. His guitar was out of tune. I have to assume he was not feeing well or was tired. He performed 4 songs I believe, then took his first break. My friend and I left - stunned. His upper register (falsetto) was "pitchy" and truly off key.. The venue was also very noisy and bustling with late comers, audience members getting up to get drinks. It seemed more like a party wherein David was the "wallpaper music." Very disappointed, and truly shocked. I have been to many concerts -- folk, rock, classical, and am a musician myself. This may have worked better in a smaller venue such as The Ark. Sorry David. Still a fan!

I attended he Amos Lee/David Gray concert at Huber Heights, Rose center Amphitheater. Let me start off by saying that the venue was a wonderful surprise for the concert. Easy in - Easy concessions, wonderful staff and it just so happened that for once it wasn't raining in Ohio!!! Amos Lee was up first and WOW is all I can say. He had the crowd going. He opened with "Windows are rolled down", which happens to be my favorite song, I was mesmerized! He played for 90 minutes and the time flew. David Gray was up next and although I really like him it was a let down after the energy that Amos brought to the night. I truly wish that Amos Lee was up second so that we could have cheered him on for and encore.

It was my first time seeing David Gray in concert. It won't be my last. A great show with an excellent band. He played for two hours and right up to curfew. I wish he had started earlier and played another few songs. Why'd they start the first act at 8pm? My one complaint is that Gray played too many songs from his current CD. I'd say that half of the 21 songs on this night were from Mutineers. It's a good album. However, Gray has so many good songs from previous albums that I would have loved to have heard. I understand that his tour is in support of this CD. However, many people were not engaged during the show because they didn't know the music from this CD. All-in-all, this show was better than I had expected. I look forward to seeing him again.

David Gray has the richest voice, amazing back up singers and an incredibly musical group. He is remarkably talented, has wonderful music and is always a favorite for me. This show was very special. He began with a performance of all of his latest album, Mutineers. While most of the audience was unfamiliar with the majority of this set, the music was still very enjoyable and so beautifully performed. He then began playing a number of his greatest hits, which was what we were all eagerly awaiting. His shows are absolutely magical and I would see him over and over again if I could. The venue, the Palace of Fine Arts Theater, was also a great place to see him live. Every seat was terrific and the acoustics were perfect.

On a super warm night 100dg. maybe more, I finally saw one of my favorite writer singer performer David gray, his live perfomance was better then the studio version, his voice was electric and clear on pich and robust, the band was great, you can tell they have been playing together for a while, the venue was unsurpased what a place !!!! magical under both the roof and the moon all at once Awesome, Meadowbrook is a fantanstic place to have summer concert and fall too! David Gray is one of my favorite singer songwriters. He's brilliant. Live show is good however, he doesnt address the audience very well. Tends to not be a very personal show. One song ends and the next begins. A few smiles and laughs but only inside jokes to the band or stage hands. I've seen him twice and would go again - no questions. hes that good. Persaonl note: leave your political / religious views out of the show. If you want to sing about your views fine. This way i can choose to not support an artist. But when an artist really doesnt engage the audience almost the entire show only to blindside the audience with some political comment and then sing the encore....well it tainted the show and the evening.

It was fitting for David Gray's most recent very mellow album. Not quite last last tour, where there was an occasional moment of standing/dancing. This was a sit-down-&-enjoy-the-show event. Lots of slow tunes and relaxing melodies. The acoustics for this venue were great, as it was in the symphony hall, but for the same price, I was 40 rows from the stage (instead of 15 like last year). Perhaps a lot of prime seats went to symphony season ticket holders?????. Backdrop & lighting were beautiful (comparable to last year). The reason to go is obviously for David's phenomenal voice (and his clever lines between songs) and that DID NOT disappoint!

I've seen David Gray 3 times in concert and to be honest, was really looking forward to Ray Lamontagne. With that said, David roped me in, gave me the best show I've ever seen him in, and reignited my love for him. And that's what a live show SHOULD do. We got there about 30 min late, and Ray was already in full swing. His show, did not disappoint. His soulful, raspy, voice was clear and loud booming through the park as we found our seats and settled in. He did an extra long set and I couldn't have been more pleased. He ended it on Henry Nearly Killed Me and brought the entire seated area to it's feet. Amazing, not a body in the park 'holding still'. Then David Gray arrived. As I stated before, I've seen him multiple times in concert, but this was by FAR his best show. He had more energy, vibrance, and excitement than I've ever seen him have. He rocked that little Park.... His energy was contagious and consuming. He played a good mix of old and new, and made me leave wanting more. So glad I didn't miss this show. And David, you were worth EVERY penny. Wish we would have had more of you.

Beautiful summer night in Indy and I love shows at the Lawn, where general admission seating allows movement and always a great view from both sides. I have seen Amos Lee many times over the years, was a bit disappointed with his song selection and play style at beginning of show (reggae?), but middle and end did not disappointment. I love his larger band and female guitar/back up vocals. He is one of my favorite performers, strong song lyrics and pure talent - no need to add anything fancy. David Gray and his band came on strong with enthusiasm! Great band and back up vocals. David treated us with up tempo selections and softer piano songs as well. If you haven't seen him live, you must, you will be sold!

Bad storms rolled in and show was delayed an hour or so. No matter...David Gray finished his set with "Babylon" and Amos came out with so much appreciation for those who stayed. Very soulful show as they played some incredible covers and great renditions of Amos' songs. Amos seemed to be having a great time and was really having fun with the crowd. He is such a great performer and his band sounded phenomenal. I only wish I could have had better seats. My girlfriend is a huge fan....I want to thank her for turning me on to Amos several years ago. We will see him whenever he's close to Nashville!

Rachel and Amos Less were great. David Gray was thoroughly outclassed by better musicians in Lee's band. Gray was a disappointment--basically strums his guitar, plays a simple piano as well and jams. Not very interesting. Amos Lee should have headlined.

Without a doubt one of the best concerts I have been to! I love the pairing of these two extremely talented musicians, singers, song writers! Amos Lee's backup vocals were amazing! Verizon Wireless Amphitheater was the perfect place to see them :)

The show opened with Rachael Yamagata. One of my fav artists and the actual reason I bought the tix! Of course, her voice was AMAZING. I only wish she had a small back-up band in order to demand the attention of the audience. Her, alone with her guitar, was a disservice to her talent. Amos Lee, was AMAZING. Fun, charismatic. His band was really talented and I loved that he showcased their vocal & instrumental skills. He shared the spotlight & it made for a very fun & entertaining show. LOVED "Pony" ~ made my night! David Gray is always amazing. Passionate about his music & the constant entertainer.

Fontanel is a great place to see a show...if it doesn't rain. In the case of the David Gray show, Gray was pulled off the stage about 3/4 of the way through his set due to storms coming in. Even though he did come back almost two hours later to play one song after Amos Lee's performance, it still feels like I missed out on the full experience. This is my second Gray concert and he really captivates the crowd. Much like a baseball game that is called early for rain, spectators are typically offered discount seats to a future game...I feel strongly that Fontanel/Ticketmaster should consider as well.

I typically do not like outdoor concerts for this very reason. It rained before the show, delaying entry for an hour. They cancelled the opener. It rained again while David Gray was on stage, and because of the lightning they cut him off mid song. The sent us all back out to our cars to wait out the lightning. When we came back in they did allow him to play Babylon, which was good because I was bummed he didn't get to play it. The reason I went to this concert, though, was to see Amos Lee. <3 Amos clearly LOVES Nashville, because he said it about a gazillion times. I have seen Amos play 3 other times, and he so clearly loved playing in Nashville over the other cities where I have seen him play. It was wonderful. I would go see Amos play anywhere! His talent is brilliant!

Weather in the area, David Gray started first and sounded awesome for about 45 min. They delayed the event for 45 minutes with generally just light rain, some lightning in the distance, then called the event. I realize there was lightning in the area, but it was not a severe storm by any means during the delay or at the time it was called. Most people were hanging around the area anyway, they should have continued ...

Amos Lee and Rachel Yamagata were fantastic. Amos worked well with getting the crowd involved with the show and really made everyone have a good time. David Gray sounded great and had good enthusiasm, but he didn't interact with the crowd much.

We so enjoyed every minute of what amounted to 2 concerts in one. Both musicians are great showmen, their bands are truly talented, and the audience was so appreciative of the music. One criticism of the venue, though. A very noisy, talkative group sat behind us and would not be quieted by my continued turnings around and scowling faces. The ushers should have stepped in to request that they simmer down or leave their seats to chatter outside the realm of us who went to hear the concert.

Both Amos Lee and David Gray were fantastic. They each have different performance styles but I loved both. The Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre is a fabulous venue in which to see a concert. The storm happening during the concert only added to the ambiance - fortunately the seats are covered!

I was a little disappointed that Amos Lee wasn't the closer because after all, that's the only reason I went. But, he was amazing. I saw him once before and he put on a totally different show. I would go see him over and over again!

David Gray was great but Amos Lee sings to my soul! I have seen him every year for the last 8 years and he just keeps getting better! I can tell he is so much comfortable on stage than he was at 20th Century Theatre, where I first saw him 8 years ago. I just absolutely LOVE him!

Amos Lee was fantastic. I did not expect David Gray to begin his performance at 9:40pm! He has an amazing voice and great stage presence. There was an opening act at 7pm, which was not advertised. She was wonderful, but set changes were long causing the show to run long and late.

This was our first time seeing Amos Lee in concert, and he was FABULOUS!!! He interacted with the audience, was entertaining, played great music, and his band was amazing. We would definitely attend another Amos Lee event. Also, this was our first time at Meadow Brook Music Festival, which is a smaller venue, so parking was easy and close and the staff was organized and friendly.

I've seen Amos Lee multiple times and I would say that this concert so far was his best. His performances are always top notch but this one was even better. It was like I was in his living room, casual, interactive, relaxed. He knows how to pull the audience into his performances. I have several of David Gray's CDs, first time for a concert. He was awsome, singing song after song like a machine! They both rocked it.

Radio City is a great place for any event. There isn't a bad seat in the place. David Gray started late not until 10:00PM on a Wednesday night. He was suffering from laryngitis but he belted out every song and really played a great set. He is an incredible performer and I love his music!!!

It was my 7th time seeing Amos Lee and 2nd time seeing David Gray. They are both stellar performers. While it was awesome seeing the 2 of them together...I prefer them separate to get longer, fuller sets. I saw Amos Lee's page that Rachel Yamagata was opening but did not see her. I arrived around 7:45 when the show was set to start at 7:30 so unless she played less than 15 minutes, why was she not there?

No opening act - just what felt like a very intimate concert. Alternating between guitar and piano, David Gray showed us just how good his vocals are. He also was humorous and likable, interacting with the audience. The venue was perfect for this kind of show and the audience was totally engaged and enthusiastic. Exceeded my expectations.
