Rob Lake

I took my three kids to see the show. They are 10, 14 and 16. We all loved it. There was dancing, lasers, comedy and of course magic. The sets are amazing. It was a very big and professional show. I have seen lots of magic shows, this is my favorite by far.

We would give this show 20 stars (out of 5) if we could! After trouble finding the ticket office in the casino we were happy to get good seats. We have seen a lot of shows both on tour near our home in Canada, and in our frequent trips to Las Vegas. This was our first time to Lake Tahoe - and by far the best show we have ever seen in a casino! Absolutely the best magic show. We had no idea to expect this show being so big. The sets were incredible and the illusions amazing. My wife got picked for a trick and can't figure it out. The final illusion was incredible and we are still scratching our heads. Anywhere you can see Mr Rob Lake and his amazing show!

I didn't like the fact that he repeated the same illusion twice, TWICE (woman contorted into a prop & prepared paper introduced on top of a prop). I didn't like the fact that he did an introductory-level illusion with a prop he sold after the show. One of his props malfunctioned (no biggy, it happens) and he just closed the curtain and moved on without any acknowledgement to the audience. His finishes to his illusions were sad and clumsy. He just stuck his chest out. More than once, he had to ask for applause because the audience didn't know when to clap---they didn't know if the illusion was over. He even did the vanishing motorcycle illusion exactly the way the Masked Magician revealed on TV.

Rob lake did a great job with his illusions and my daughter was mystified the entire show!

The show was excellent and it's great for all ages.

Rob Lake's show was one of the best magic shows I've seen. He was funny (in a silly way) & engaged the audience throughout the show. This was a family-friendly show, and enjoyed by my parents as well as my seven year-old.

Amazing show. He keeps the audience engaged and uses the audience for alot of his magic. Final magic trick is awesome. Everyone should go or you will miss a great show offered.

Rob Lake show was enjoyable and moved almost too quickly. His illusions left you wondering 'how did he do that'. Upon entering theatre wondered what it would be like since Xanadu Theater needs work. Once the show started he and his cast were able to put this out of your mind and bring you into their world of Magic. Great job Rob, keep it up. Would see him again should he move to another venue.

Thoroughly enjoyed "The Magic of Rob Lake" show. He is charismatic and very funny. The visual effects were amazing!!!!

The Magic of Rob Lake show was pretty entertaining. Not as much pyro, sound effects and theatrics as I was expecting after watching the videos, but his abilities are awesome. You will definitely walk away wondering "HOW DID HE DO THAT?" I do not recommend sitting in the first few rows (1-5). The stage is high and it is hard to get the full picture of what is going on, especially for kids. Seating is padded chairs, they aren't uncomfortable but don't expect theater seats. Doors open at 7 PM, be there by 7:45 and you will have no problem getting a good seat. Rob and His assistants stay in the lobby after the show, so it's great for kids to get autographs, pictures, and buy a few of magic tricks for kids,

Rob Lake was amazing. It was my kids first magic show and it is memorable. The whole family enjoyed every moment of the show. Would definitely watch again.

The show was standard stuff . Most of the illusions I've seen before. The last trick was the most impressive. He should eliminate the dance routines and add a few more tricks!

It was the opening show at Xanadu in the Taj in AC and could be reason Performance moved slowly. 5/6 illusions in 1 hr. The venue was not the best. Partial lighting in areas that included the illusion. The seating was extremely uncomfortable. Seats were stained. Overall in another location we would see the program again.

We went to see Rob Lake a few weeks ago and had a great time. The show was fast-paced and had a great mix of large illusions and smaller tricks that involved the audience. Great crowd participation! Perfect for adults or kids! This is is the second time I have seen him (the first being a few years back) and I am looking forward to seeing his shows again!

This show is amazing. The illusions are unbelievable - I thought I had some of them figured out- but then each time I was surprised more and have no clue. Just as amazing as the illusions is Rob's comedy. He is hilarious and funnier than the comedian in the show too. If you can see Rob Lake make sure you do. We really enjoyed it and hope to go again.

I took my wife to the Rob Lake show and must say this was one of the best shows I have seen in a very long time. he is very entertaining and current. not the run of the mill magic show but pure entertainment! thank you Mr. Lake for a memorable night. highly recommended !

A definite recommend! Mr. Lake not only does a wonderful job of illusion, he also really entertains with comedy, flirtation and audience participation. He and his whole team really make sure you get your money's worth!

Took my 15 year old and 10 year old sons - we had a lot of fun. Rob Lake is a very talented magician, is very confident and charismatic on stage, and is very funny. The majority of his trickswere very entertaining and amazing. We had front row seats which really made for a special evening. I highly recommend his show - you will have a great time.

Five of us went to the show and all of us were bored and unimpressed. The build up of Rob Lake and his show had us excited. Very typical magic show. Girls dancing were never in sync, just a cheesy show. Sorry. The kids in the audience seemed to like it but the applause seemed forced and even Rob, at one point said "don't do it unless you mean it".

We frequently attend performances at this venue, normally the price of admission is very low for quality entertainment, not this time. At least 50% of this show was a waste of our time and money.

We had never heard of Rob Lake and decided to see the show just as something to do while in Tahoe. Surprise! He was excellent. A good stage personality. Some humor. While not a David Copperfield, his magic in some ways is similar to the Copperfield show in Vegas. Very good value for the quite reasonable ticket prices and a good evening's entertainment.

Rob Lake puts on a good show. It is worth seeing classic illusions performed well, and then some new ones too! close seating and all good views

Excellent show! Most amazing performance was the one with the locked box hanging from the ceiling. Tremendous!

The Rob Lake show was great! I managed to purchase front row seats, center. The show was engaging and well put together. The performance was at least 90 minutes and included many fine illusions. Well done and well worth the value!

Great time had by all... he was able to entertain both adults and kids with his amazing magic and great wit.

Go see this show ! We are from New Orleans and saw the show on July 6, 2017 on our 1st trip to Lake Tahoe. Rob Lake was incredibly good. Highly recommended ! We would see it again.

Rob was incredible! My wife and I were sitting with our mouths open for the whole show. We like the interactivity that Rob built into the act as well.

Awesome show! Exciting fun and totally WOWzer! Go see it and get some intrigue and excitement in your night! We chose this Magic show to add a bit of magic to our 30 year anniversary Tahoe trip. Was not disappointed! Loved every minute of it!

His performance was amazing. He had 5 numbers written down on a piece of paper and left it on the chair. He tossed a ball in the audience and who ever caught it said a number between 1 and 50. My husband caught the ball and Rob said no it won't work with you. Rob said the lady next to you what number did you want. I said 19. All of the five people's numbers were on the paper. It was AMAZING. After the show you can take pictures with Rob and my girlfriend said why didn't you use her husband and Rob said he is suborned. Yep that's my husband. It's a MUST SEE.

It was a nice getaway for us. The ticket ladies were very nice and remembered us the next day. Seating was perfect...

Amazing performance, wonderful art direction lighting was astounding Illusions were top notch I'd see it again and again. Well worth the time and money.

This show was very good show. Kid friendly. I would recoommend this to a friend. Very exciting.

First I purchased tickets with assigned seating, I get there and it's a sit anywhere type of deal, maybe that set the tone for the evening, Second I felt like I was in a auditorium with fold up chairs, oh wait I was. Rob Lake himself is great, but I couldn't get past all the lbright lights and loud music and dancing girls???? Why were there dancing girls??? I wanted to see magic, just magic.

This show was fantastic! It was my first magic show in person, though I'd loved watching the tv specials of professional magic shows that used to play when I was a kid. Rob Lake is certainly of that international caliber! I was utterly blown away by his illusions- like beyond the ability to even begin to hypothesize after how they were achieved. VERY impressive- dropped my jaw! and his personality is wonderful to-boot. If you ever get the chance to see Rob perform, here or elsewhere, definitely take it!

My family and I were laughing the entire time. The tricks were cheesy and easy to figure out, not something one wants for a magic show. I actually felt badly for Rob Lake up there. No applause from the audience, who seemed to be bored. We finally couldn't take it anymore and left half way through. I met another woman outside the auditorium and she felt the same. I understand now why the tickets are so cheap. I guess you get what you paid for. I believe the casino is placing reviews to jack up the ratings to a 4.5 star. Not sure what universe would give this act such a high rating.

He was an excellent illusionist with a very comfortable ease with the audience. The sound could have been a little lower!

Really liked his magic show. It is like one of David Coperfield`s magic shows, just a little shorter (1h), but it is definitely amazing! The only thing I didn`t like is that the music was sooooo loud...worse than in a night club, I sometimes had to cover my ears with my hands. So as an advice to the team of Rob Lake, better turn down the volume a little, it was way too loud. (Coming from a 26 year old)

Terrible seats (catering hall type) packed very close together. Hackneyed tricks you've seen a thousand times. Dragged out every trick/illusion to the point of boredom. Pandered for applause too often. Walked out after 20 minutes.

Rob is a very talent young man. He was wonderful and great illusions.

This show seemed a little lackluster, especially at the near $40 price point. The Good: Illusion acts were very good and quite bewildering. Also, Rob Lake had audience participation which added to entertainment. The Not So Good: Show lacked energy and audience seemed to be too quiet at times after some illusions. Rob Lake needs to infuse more energy into the show. The seating- horrible!!! Instead of an inclined seating arrangement, it was more like a stadium floor with loose metal chairs. Difficult to see past the person's head in front of you. Expected much more for the price.

This was an excellent show! I took my grandchildren, ages 7 and 9 and we all enjoyed it tremendously!

This is a very good show for all ages. Everyone seemed to be very entertained throughout the show. Rob Lake has a casual endearing style about him and let's us know throughout what influenced him the most to become a magician. It was fun trying to figure out how he performed the tricks. Some of them we could and some still have us clueless. There are some nice sets, but nothing over elaborate but mostly it was magic. My 12 year old grandson loved it and we did too!

Show was very good, magic was great, music was a bit too loud but performance and quality was A+

Seating is very poor. Whole first level is at grade. if you are 10 rows back you have to sit up on your knees if someone tall is in front of you. Very loud. Almost too loud sometimes

Rob Lake's magic was captivating. I loved the new take on some beloved illusions. The price was right too. There were two problems. First, the sound was just too loud. Second the seats were very uncomfortable and were placed too close to each other. My wife and I just felt jammed in.

Rob Lake weaves illusions and his charming and engaging personality into a magical evening. The staging is beautiful and his performance is flawless. I have seen many magicians over the years, including David Copperfield, and none have been more enjoyable. This is a show you can bring your children or your date to see. While you may have seen some of his illusions done by other magicians, you will still completely enjoy his presentation.
