I was pleased with security and how they handled the crowd surfers. Both my sons were kicked in the head by crowd surfers so I was pleased the security were gently removing the crowd surfers. There were moments just before M&M when the crowd was surging at the front and I thought it could be dangerous if someone were to fall and get trampled. I am unsure what security could have done about that. There were ample porta-potties and the food offerings were excellent. My only gripe is that the walkways were too narrow for the number of people. However, I don't think much can be done about that. It was a well-organized festival and we will most likely return next year.

Don't get me wrong, the artists were amazing. The crowds that security stopped policing halfway through each day were insane full of people drinking and doing drugs which yes you will get that at a festival but the limited amount of staff members they had for everything was terrible. The toilets didn't get cleaned, the vendors prices would say one thing and then when you scanned your bracelet to pay the price pops up as a higher amount, the area for handicapped people was insanely small and run by a guard who decided to let a bunch of girls in to hang out with him during the Eminem concert even though it was already so packed people with crutches were in the grass. Pretty annoying too when you go to the Sunday show and cant buy any merchandise for it because it sold out friday. This festival was nothing but a money sucking joke. I will NEVER attend a squamish festival again.

don't expect to sleep, but expect a good time. we arrived early, and reserved a good spot away from the real partyers as we had brought our son. Food was great and lots of booths and merch, concert area was wide open so we were able to sit during most of the day until the Hip.

Overall festival itself was 5/5. The value drops a notch for having bought a VIP ticket. I did fork over for Glamping, and this was the key to the weekend - a separate (and very close) entrance, easy parking, access to showers, *lots of clean bathrooms*, and a chill after-hours music stage. Amazing and brilliant idea. The list of performers was also excellent - top notch, and all in very fine form - it definitely seemed like all the performers really enjoyed playing the festival. Unfortunately, I also shelled out for VIP tickets, which got me... well, I'm really not sure, other than 100$ poorer. There was a "VIP" area off to the side of the main stage, which was great if you like watching a concert through an 8' fence from 500+ feet away, on a gravel parking lot, and having poorly maintained bathroom facilities. This area was sponsored by Bacardi - where they promptly ran out of rum & coke. Also, exactly zero lines were skipped by waving my magical VIP band. In summary - Go to Live @ Squamish! It was amazing! (Just don't bother with the VIP tickets).
