Didnt expect too much fromthe road crew traveling to Springfield Ma,, but this was more like a highschool play. A man behind us fell asleep, while I felt uncomfortable for the cast, who did try, and I will not bash they for trying their best. This was just too big for them. We left during intermission, trying to salvage some of the night I took off from work. Wish I could get my money back.

It was good, but seemed slow and melancholy. I have been to several play and some at the TN Theater and I am always impressed there. It was ok, just didn't grab me for some reason. The actors all did a fabulous job.

Great show! My husband loves this movie, so, I got him tickets to see this play for his birthday. We both enjoyed very much. They played up a few characters storylines which only added to the show. The music was sang with so much heartfelt moments! Play follows the movie pretty close. Have nothing bad to say really- great production. Fun show that makes you want to dance in your seat.

Normally, I love going to events at TN Theatre. SNF however was a disappointment. No way was the show worth the money. I'm a big fan of Broadway musicals and had great hopes of a similar experience to NY or even Chicago. I'll definitely be back to TN theatre, but not for Broadway shows. Think I'll stick to concerts. They have never been a disappointment.

The dancing was good as were the female voices. The singing talent of the men was poor at best. The back drops were not very impressive. I would not recommend this play.

The singing voices were weak and off key. The music was slow. The dancing was very mediocre. The dialog was mumbled. $77 for this led to a disappointing evening. The worst performance I have ever attended in the Broadway series.

We were excited to go and see this show. Unfortunately, it was not all that we could have asked for. For one thing, the stage had an odd set up that limited the scope of what the audience could see. Our seats were left of center and we could not see what was happening on our side of the stage because the curtain was in the way. There was also some issue with being able to hear what was said. The performers were high energy for the most part and several of the vocalists were very good. I kept waiting for the big, goose-bump moment in the show that should have been there, but it just didn't come. While a solid performance, this show was not exceptional.

The musical was well thought out and the delivery was really good. However, the lead actor that portrayed Tony Manero was really bad. His dancing and singing were not very good and his voice was a distraction throughout. It was as if Kramer from Seinfeld was doing his best (or worst) impersonation of Al Pacino. The other actors were excellent singers and dancers. With a better Tony Manero, I would have rated the show much higher.

It was very disappointing. I am a real fan of the BeeGee and their sound! I was not aware that it was the BeeGee's music, but not their sound. With that in mind, I was really disappointed in the show and walked out of it during the first act. This point together with the high volume of the sound in the front row made the show basically unwatchable!

This was the worst production I've ever seen. Who knew that fun, upbeat SNF music could be so tragically slowed down and horribly sung? The role of Danny could have gone to anyone else -- and should because from the first note he was off-key and the acting pathetic. His annoying head bobble and stupid grid was an insult to Travolta. It was so bad that over half the audience left at intermission.

I am a regular theatre goer who knows a good performance when I see one. And believe me, this one fell far short. Acting; generally mediocre. Choreography; pedestrian at best. Characterization? This is where it all starts and ends, and sometimes I actually wondered if there had been any at all. Those very few in the cast who actually caught the jist of this piece, held on to it and worked to communicate it to the audience probably did it on their own I was thinking, while they were surrounded by a fuzzy ball of yarn slowly unraveling onto the stage. And if the cast felt the audience wasn't "with it" they need only blame themselves. There was very little to grab on to here, try as we did throughout. All that was lacking may very well have been saved by at least some genuine enthusiasm from the players. But alas! it was only evident in the curtain call and encore. Please don't call it Broadway when it is Mudville !

After looking forward to this show, we were terribly disappointed in the Saturday afternoon performance of Saturday Night Fever. The sound system wasn't clear; consequently we were unable to understand much of what was said (we do speak English). Singing voices were weak or mediocre. The only positive thing was seeing the lovely Tennessee Theater inside. After this experience, though, I doubt we'll attend another performance.

Disappointed overall for the amount of money we spent we were expecting a higher level of performance. This would have been good if it were done at Dollywood. Acoustics were terrible. Could not understand most of the dialog. Only one strong singer and she was a secondary player. My first experience at TN TH. I will give it one more shot but if this is the quality we get next time it will be our last. Dancing was good.

While the outing to the beautiful Tennessee Theater with friends was fun, the show was very average at best. The price was too high for a very mediocre performance. The script and musical arrangements were choppy and uninspired. The dancing was good, not great. The dialogue was difficult to understand. The entire show seemed to lack the energy one would expect from a Broadway touring company.

We were so disappointed in this show. I had planned dinner out and a show for a Valentine date night. Most amazing thing about the show was the theatre itself. Having grown up in Knoxville and gone to the theater as a young boy in the 60's and 70's it's always nostalgic when I go back. We were so excited about seeing the same energy that was in the movie and to relive the disco days of our childhood! There was a mom and her daughter sitting behind us that we were talking to before the show began and she was already dancing in her seat showing the daughter a video from the movie on her phone. They left at intermission and didn't return. The show was lackluster, boring and hard to follow. The sound was low, muffled and difficult to understand what the characters were saying. The dancing, well, was not up to par with the disco days. The orchestra, if you call a guy on a keyboard an orchestra, was also disappointing. We felt like we were at a high school production of Saturday Night Fever. To have paid $167 for two tickets we expected more, and have always had more with shows that come to this theatre. Parts of the show were so far to the right side of the stage that we were unable to see the full production from our seats. We were witting on the far right side balcony. The executive director of the Tennessee Theatre introduced the show and exclaimed that everyone will be dancing in the isles by the time the show is over! The only dancing in the isles occurred when it was over and everyone was dancing to the exits! I would not recommend wasting your money on this show.

The effort was there, and considering -- which we don't want to do at $65-plus a ticket on a cold and rainy night -- these were challenging songs of the Bee Gees, the Saturday night show at the Tennessee Theatre was just average. Was it the sound system or the New Jersey way of speaking; was it the often bare or stark set; was it the level of talent of some of the key players... We've seen some great shows here -- Mama Mia, Guys and Dolls. Alas, this was not one. A 6 on 10 scale.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoy the Broadway on Tour productions. This was the weakest production we have seen to date over a 5 year span. I was very excited about the production as I was a child of the 70's and was very disappointed. The singing was average at best and the dancing was weak. This production was no better than a high school production and we paid $70+ dollars a ticket. While making a run to the bar during intermission, I noticed the hordes of people leaving the theater for the evening. We are still enthused about Broadway on Tour but this was definitely a forgettable and lackluster experience.

We were very disappointed in the performance of Saturday Night Fever in Springfield. As frequent theatre goers - we have seen many different and varied performances. The lead sang in what may have been an attempt at a NY accent - but it wasn't successful in his speaking and even worse in his singing. With the sound being too loud through the speakers, at times he sounded like a fog horn and we couldn't even make out what he was saying. Some of the scene changes were done with all the stage lights on and we could see the stage hands. The singing range of some of the performers were outside of the Bee Gee's original sounds which detracted and distracted from the performance.

This was a smart, funny, talented cast and production which was very true to the 1977 film Saturday Night Fever. It was wonderful to see those great old days recreated and to hear the film's soundtrack sun and danced to within the context of the musical - great to hear Ivonne Hooligan, Tavares and BeeGees on stage in dramatic/musical numbers. Very cool! Great cast - they were young and very capable of delivery mood of times, young people and gist of film. Main female character Stephanie spoke just like her film twin (what a hoot)! Kudos to producer, director and choregrapher! Kudos to hall's director for bringing great shows to town - The Tavares, The Temptations, Saturday Night Fever and earlier Songs of Broadway Musicals. You're great! Bravo!

This show was a very cheesy production, with no entertaining qualities. Singing, dancing, staging, sound, clothing all left a lot to be desired. Left at intermission, as did quite a few others. After reading the reviews here, it seems many who saw this production have had the same disappointment, especially in the lead, Tony. We attempted to enjoy Saturday Night Fever, The Musical last night at Porland's Merrill Auditorium, and left at the intermission because it was so awful. The cast was boring. This production of Saturday Night Fever is just not worth the cost of admission. The male lead is about 35 playing the part of a 19 year old, his swinging is awful, but I do have to say he's a fine dancer, but that's all I can say. The females in the show good but not great. Some of the singing was more "shouting" than "singing" - this may have been due to the mics and/or the sound level, but in either case, it left a lot to be desired. All in all, it was a "wasted evening"......

It was a nice nostalgic trip back into the 70s of my childhood. The songs made me smile and brought back memories. However, the play itself was hard to follow. The casting of Tony was very disappointing. Expecting a smooth BeeGees sounding voice, I was shocked to hear a gravelly Springsteen voice without the tone. Also the actor was too old to be playing a 19 year old. I was waiting for a dynamite dancer, thinking maybe that is why he was cast in the part, but was equally disappointed. Without a strong Tony character, the musical fell flat.
