Jerry's voice is still strong all these years. A very impressive show with David Plenn and Llory McDonald. I would have paid double to see it.

Our first concert for Jerry Riopelle was in 1974 at the Celebrity Theater and we also have seen him at the Mesa stadium, Dodge Theater and now the Orpheum. They have all been great and this years was just as good as could be expected. It seems like we just keep getting older but Jerry stays the same. He did make a comment about his gray hair and my husband made a loud remark about that also. We were very lucky this year and were invited back stage for a meet and greet so we got to meet the gang before the concert and have photos taken with Jerry. We were also invited on stage at midnight to sing Auld Lang Syne with Jerry and the band by Becky his assistant which was a once in a lifetime event in our lives. We will never forget this. They also turned us on to some signed CD's and Jerry signed an old 197? poster that my husband has had for many many years.

I have been to this show easily over a dozen times and it is always a great way to spend New Year's Eve! The band is as tight as ever! Excellent! Jerry seemed a little aloof and reserved for lack of better words to say, he still rocked the place and his new music was great stuff. dancing, rocking, what more can you ask for, just missed our younger selves perhaps..... great show!! love him!

I've watched Riopelle perform since the 70s, and his voice was better than ever. The band was tight and energetic. Look forward to their new album.

We have probably seen Jerry Riopelle close to 20 times or more. Too many to count actually. We have seen him at The Celebrity Theater the most times, and usually on New Year's Eve. We saw him at the Orpheum Theater this time. The theater is beautiful. I remember going there as a kid for other performances. Jerry always puts on a fantastic show and this year he still rocked. For anyone who has not ever seen him, GO SEE HIS SHOW WHEN YOU GET THE CHANCE. You will not be disappointed one bit. I never have been.

I have to say I go to see Jerry Riopelle as often as I can as I have loved his music since the 70's! This by far was one of the best shows ever as it was up close and personal in this venue. I hope that he comes back to the Talking Stick Resort Showroom again as my friends and I will be there!

I loved him when I was 20 and I love him now that I am 60. Fun to see an old time favorite in his senior years still rocking out. The melody was the same, just slowed down a bit. No he doesn't hit the high notes anymore but it doesn't matter if you are a true fan!

It was like watching a volcano erupt. Jerry Riopelle started soft and easy and gradually worked until he had the crowd on its feet. A fabulous event! This was also our first time in the Talking Stick showroom. I was very favorably impressed with venue. I'll be watching and waiting for tickets to the next performance of Jerry Riopelle.

Jerry Riopelle has performed dozens of amazing concerts in the valley for the past 4 decades. One would think that he would be slowing down but, man, he still has it and that makes us 50 something's feel awfully good! He played all the old stuff the audience wanted to hear but he also added some cool new tunes (love that he's still dream in' up new music). Everyone had a fantastic time. The band was rock in', as well. Can't say enough great things about this valley legend.

Jerry Riopelle and long time guitarist David Klem still sound great after all these years (as does the rest of the band). Truly enjoyed the show and the venue. I think they sounded better than when I heard them a couple of years ago at their last new year's eve concert at the Celebrity Theater.

Jerry and the band played many old favorites and a couple of newer songs I love. The lyrics and the music bring back so many intense memories... The concert was wonderful, in every way and I can't wait to see him again. Llory, David Plenn and the fiddle player were amazing as well.

Jerry was his usual awesome self and the band is as good as ever. The recent (past couple of years) addition of the female singer and her bro fiddle player help keep the band fresh!!

Jerry really went deep on this show. I've lost count of how many times I've seen him, but he did songs that I've not heard live, before. Wish he'd do that more often. Awesome show! Staying after to sing CDs was cool, too.

Love celebrating the New Year with Jerry & friends! Just loved the new songs and the added members to the band. The fiddler especially was just amazing, although I just love the sax which is my fav. This was one of the best shows I have seen since the 70's at Celebrity in Phoenix. The Orpheum Theatre is beautiful and any seat is a good one. The employees there were all so helpful and kind. The only downfall was it could of been cooler inside, we were all sweating before the show :( Glad you had a coat check...would of never made it!! Happy New Year to ALL & Thank You once again!!

jerry riopelle is still an amazing rocker at 70! Garland Jeffreys is terrible, his songs are monotonous one line lyrics repeated over and over, and he has no vocal range. His guitarist accompanying him was really good though. The Orpheum is absolutely beautiful, historic, and ornate. There's not a bad seat in the house. However, the sound is not nearly as good as the Celebrity, where Jerry usually plays. The drinks were way overpriced. I don't think this is a good venue for a hard rock show crowd.

Only reason for the four stars was opening act Garland Jeffreys was terrible. Most of the crowd left for the lobby and drinking, tried giving him a chance but the songs were a downer and he did nothing to pump the crowd. Riopelle was great at this venue. Only wished he would of down 5 or six songs that were my favorite. His voice was crisp, the venue was great. Only one encore and he really looked tired. Might be the last concert we ever see him perform.

He was great as always. It has been a long time since I saw him in concert. Voice still strong so very talented. Great he is bringing in his son and some of the younger generations. I have never been disappointed in his music. I really like Rear View Mirror. Thank Jerry for the music that provided a lot of memories and the new songs just as great to become memories. First New Year worth staying up for!

How lucky we were to grow up listening to KCAC and being exposed to the likes of Jerry Riopelle, Garland Jefferies, John Stewart, John Prine, Tom Waits and Danny O'Keefe and so many more. Riopelle was as good as I remembered. I ended up downloading a few of the songs I didn't already own.

It's somewhat of a Phoenix tradition to see Jerry Ripolle perform on New Year's Eve, and this year was truly memorable. Performing at the Orpheum Theater is quite a departure from "in the round" at the Celebrity. The sound in this venue is great, and the crew had it tuned up well, not withstanding a few technical gaffes on stage. Jerry and band mates were as tight as ever, He introduced a few new songs, the release of which are anticipated on his forthcoming album.
