Kirk Franklin

Multi-platinum Gospel singer Kirk Franklin ended 2013 by appearing at Nelson Mandela's memorial service in Johannesburg, singing his hit "My Life is in Your Hands." It capped a relatively quiet year compared to the year prior, which saw Franklin on tour in support of his Grammy-winning 2011 release, Hello Fear, his fifth solo album. Fans who bought tickets to those concerts saw Franklin perform on a package tour dubbed The King's Men Tour with Donny McClurkin, Marvin Sapp and Israel Houghton.Over the course of his two-decade music career, Texas native Franklin has been broadening the reach and scope of Gospel music.

I promised my 11 year old granddaughter that when Kirk Franklin was in Dallas I would take her to his concert! She is an avid fan and knows all of his songs and I do mean all!! This was by far the best money I have spent and watching how much she and her best friend enjoyed themselves was a plus! This venue is great, not a bad seat anywhere! Can t wait for the next one!!

Kirk Franklin is currently on tour to promote stroke prevention with the American Heart Association. The concert started at 7:30 with opening acts but it was almost 9 when Kirk got on stage. I thought "Great... he's going to only sing like 5 songs..." I mean, what more could you expect for $15 tickets? Well Kirk proved me wrong! He blew the stage up! He played a variety of songs (old & new) and really got the audience involved! He even had kids from the audience get on stage and dance! The quality was worth over 5x what I paid for tickets! Do NOT miss out on this!

I was pleasantly pleased at the energy of Kirk Franklin's performance and his presentation of songs. The show was professional as well as personal. I especially enjoyed the way he interacted with the youth making them a part of his show. I wasn't personally a fan of Kirk Franklin himself although I enjoy his music until I attended the concert at New Creations Christian Fellowship Church. My hat is off to Kirk Franklin and may God continue to bless him.

Not your everyday Christian singer. I enjoyed seeing the teenagers around us singing every word of every song at the top of their lungs. I think if the churchs would include this type of music in their services they would see more kids relating to the church. He is the Amy Grant, Imperials and BJ Thomas of my generation.

I went at the request of my 20 yr. old granddaughter and I had never seen Kirk Franklin. He was so good and his music and words were so inspiring, I could hardly stay in my seat. The children/youth choir from Arkansas was incredible. The entire event was so uplifting and we were made aware of the effects of maintaining good health for our people. The other entertainers add to the special outing which I experienced. Thank you for having the event and I was blessed for having attended.

I was skeptical about the show as it was uncharted territory to have a gospel and r&b artist perform together. I was pleasantly surprised however and didn't want it to end. I had amazing front row seats and the energy was off the radar. If the show comes to a city near you I recommend everyone go see it. The only down side to the event was how close the seats were. You had to get really personal with the person sitting next to you which was uncomfortable and awkward.

Travis Greene did a great job. Tasha Cobb-wow! She was amazing! My experience was somewhat impeded because all of the Manns except Tamela, should have been before Dee 1 and Tasha. It was good but the flow was interrupted. Or, they could've had the Manns with Tamela, then Tasha, then Kirk and the flow would've continued. Otherwise, everything sounded great. Kirk is so kind and humble, and I appreciate him giving his all, putting on a great concert despite technical difficulties! I always enjoy seeing him and look forward to the next time. Please bring him back!

As usual Kirk Franklin was awesome! He still interacts with his audience, which allows you to feel he is family. I loved how he kept it real with the audience and his tour mates. I loved that he introduced us to his friend Shaun Martin (who's album is great), and let us know that Virtue is still going strong (stay strong ladies!) My only issue was the sound was a little off, so on some songs, you could not hear the music or the singers.

Our evening started great as we were in line and a young boy with autism was behind us and could not control his excitement and enthusiasm. His Mom said Kirk's music was the only thing that kept him in focus. Most of us in that early line held VIP tickets which included meet and greet (AMAZING) Kirk did not rush anyone and was wonderful to all. We laughed, we were lifted and there was never a dull moment. We were blessed to realize that we were seated right next to the family with the little boy. He lifted us ALL NIGHT during the performance. Kirk was loyal to his fans and constantly acknowledged God and the fans by coming out into the audience and hugging people and dancing with elderly members of the audience. It was such a fun filled evening. Kirk ended the evening by walking on the backs of the chairs and reaching out to people but his final destination was the fourth row where little Emanuel and we were. Emanuel could not contain himself and jumped out of his Mom's arms to try and get to him. (Kirk was already on his way) We cried with happiness at watching this amazing little "preacher" man!

It was one of the greatest concerts I have ever attended! Why? Because Kirk is so down to earth and was intent on pleasing the crowd and interacting with everyone. I did the VIP and got a chance to meet him. He was in no rush to move me along and really was interactive in our time. I like his spirit and how he made even kids and adults alike feel important. I planned a trip to Arizona (from Denver) around attending this concert. I am so grateful I had the opportunity and means to do so. This concert was enjoyable, powerful and reminded me of how God has brought me through with the help of Kirk Franklin's music. Kirk, the singers and the band performed for at least two hours and it was like being in the studio with them. The concert was AWESOME!

I hardly get out, but decided to go to Kirk's concert and wanted VIP so that I could meet him. I am so grateful and glad that I did!! Everything about this experience was humbling and AMAZING!! The venue was beautiful. Everyone there had a very nice attitude and they were very professional. Kirk's staff was friendly and so cool. Kirk was so real and down to earth. At first, because of the size of the venue, I thought it would be limited knowing Kirk Franklin does big productions. It was just perfect! He was energetic, fun and had a lot of audience participation. Towards the end of intermission he actually came out on the floor to talk to people in the audience and that made it even more special. Had amazing seats third row center. You could almost reach out and touch them. Amazing performances by all concerned. Mix of genres worked very well. Certainly got your money's worth...show lasted 2.5 hours! a rarity these days. However, the sound was bad. Typical R&B mix of overkill bass boom and kick drum. Could hardly hear the vocal because of such distortion. Its called "Sound Reinforcement System" for a reason...It might have sounded good for those in the balcony, but it was painfully loud front/center. My ears are still ringing 2 days later!....

Ledisi is by far the most skilled vocalist of her generation. She is personable and secure in herself. Kurt Franklin sings the soundtracks to our lives. He is the Michael Jackson of gospel. Of course, there are more theatrical concerts out there with pageantry and visual artistry, but this concert is more of an Mind, Body, and Soul Experience that is transforming! The music and anointed talents of the performers move through you. There was dancing, singing, laughing and even places where tears of emotions came over me. No judgement and no egos on stage, moving smoothly between artists and collaborating as well. That love, openness and connection on stage spills into the audience. Amazingly high energizing performances was given by the performers and background vocalists. Not only did they uplift, were engaging, they also brought their sense of humor. Priceless! Well done! A must see and see again if they return. I was already a fan of Kirk for several years. I became a fan of Ledisi a few years ago when I first heard her on Heart & Soul when she sang "Alright" and finally got to hear her sing it live. Simply Fabulous! A powerhouse performer and amazing talent is an understatement! Ledisi has the kind of singing voice that you would never get tired of listing to. I love her bubbly self even more. Major did a good job as an opener to get you ready for what's to come. Go and see for yourselves. You won't be disappointed!

All of the artist were great. I'm old school and was able to understand and appreciate the young artist LeCrae and his testimony and message about Jesus. I will now buy his music. Kirk Franklin was fantastic! This was my first time seeing him live and I enjoyed every moment of it. I had a wonderful time praising the Lord at Joyfest, Richmond, King's Dominion and I'm ready to get my VIP seats for next year.

I have seen Kirk in concert about 4 or 5 times and every time he amazes me as to how he can perform at that level each time. I keep waiting for an "OK" performance and it just doesn't happen. LeCrea is a becoming a household name among young Christians. Im 40 and he has replaced all of my ol skool rap with "Gravity". My 11 and 12 year old kids know ALL the words and that is heartwarming. Great work young bra!! Proud of you !!! You have the god given talent to do anything and you chose to minister to young people through music. Good for you.

At first I was uneasy with traveling to baltimore but for my favorite gospel artist I put aside my pride. The music sounded just as if I was listening to the cd in the car. Even though we went to see Kirk perform he reminded us that we are always in praise and worship to our Father. Kirk let the Holy Spirit fill that place and take control it was awesome. I loved that his family was there saw Tammy on the first row with us praising, she wasnt hiding behind stage like other famous spouses do. I love all of Kirk Fanklins performances and can now say I will travel anywhere to see him.

My daughter and I was in Chicago, and Kirk Franklin was truly amazing! Energy throughout the entire concert all the way to the end where he extended an invitation to a man, who was leaving to come back stage afterwards to chill with the fam! Great job Kirk! This was my first Kirk Franklin concert, I was blessed spiritually, and I worshipped the Lord. I brought my oldest son, and my grandaughter, and my son said that this the best concert that he ever experienced, and my 10 year old grandughter said it was great. Kirk was sensitive to the Holy Spirit, and sensitive to the needs of the people, I really appreciated that, and you could feel the presense of the Lord.

OMG! I've been to a many concerts both R&B and gospel, but I will have to say this is absolutely the best concert that I've ever been to. Mr. Kirk Franklin (I love him) knows how to put on a Holyghost filled show. Both Sunday's Best winners (Cyrstal Akins) marvelous, Tye Tribute (awesome) & my man Fred Hammond (phenomenon) where all dynamic. I like to lost my mind when Fred unexpectfully came out on stage (talking about overed joyed--it was my birthday week and my daughter had just bought me his CD for my b/d to listen to while traveling). My time and effort traveling six hours was well invested. I will never forget this show--my sister and I had the times of our lives. God showed up and we showed out! If you get the chance. Go, you will Be Blessed!

Everything about this event was great! The opening acts brought new flavor to the gospel scene with music and poetry. Kirk Franklin in my opinion always gives a great show he puts his all in it and he invites everyone in the spirit even the youth. It was a great show.

I really liked how Kirk Franklin interacted with the audience took pictures and selfies. Kirk was really down to earth and the artists in the show was just the right mix. Warren, Koryn, Tammy, Tae, Erika, was all off the chain. Kirk finished off the show with a medley of all his old and new songs. I ain't gonna lie I wanted more of Kirk but I was blessed the whole show. Show lasted or like 6 hours so I got my money's worth.

We enjoyed the concert. We definitely got our monies worth. We got there at 5:30 in hopes to just talk right in and there was a good 30 minute wait in close to 100 degree heat because the employees were told not to let us in yet for some reason. Also, our seats had a column obstructing the view for one of the seats. We wish we had known that as we would have chosen other seats. All in all, it was a great evening and the highlight was our daughter wanting to sponsor a child in another country which was a portion of the concert was to raise awareness of those less fortunate.
