This is the 5th year in a row we've attended the game and fireworks show at Mile High Stadium featuring the Denver Outlaws of Major League Lacrosse. And for the 5th time, it was well worth the money. Outlaws dominated and the fireworks amazed.

It was cold and rainy almost the whole time. It was great otherwise. But, there were no announcements on weather they were still having fireworks after. The event was self absorbed, not really caring about the fans. The workers just wanted to go home. There were no towels in the Men's bathroom before the event even started. Pop corn tasted weird. They have a picture of a brat wurst on the wall, then they serve you a totally different one. On exit, which was about the time the game was over they had all around the gates blocked off so you were forced out in the rain and couldn't walk under the awning as long as possible. The tickets were sold, but there wasn't alot of concern by employes or announcers. Cost me like $135.00. It was awful and my family was very disappointed. There were fireworks in my neighborhood on the way home, that was nice. It was unfortunate for everyone we got rained out basically. It would have really helped if the announcers would have addressed the fireworks being on or off. That way the could have encouraged the crowd in looking forward to something. We would like to go more often.

The game was exciting, the Outlaws scored in the first 50 seconds, and kept the game moving fast and fun. The rain was intense and miserable and it was just not worth staying to try to watch the game and the fireworks. I am sure some people stayed to watch the fireworks, but it is ridiculous with that amount of rain that the game and fireworks were not rescheduled. I'm sure without the rain, it would have been a nice experience. Congratulations to the Outlaws on their win against Chesapeake Bay

Very fun, lots of action all the time. (as opposed to baseball) Music was fun during the game as well. This is the only place to watch fireworks! You don't have to wait an hour while they empty half the stadium like at Coors Field. It was awesome!

We had a great experience at our first ever lacrosse event. Tickets and parking were easy. The game was fun to watch-very fast moving and seasoned fans in our area were kind about explaining the game. We purchased tickets in VIP seating, however, the seats in section 105, row 4, seats 4-8 were only accessible from one direction. Menus were placed in our cup holders, however, service personnel never attended our area. I would not recommend VIP seating, nor will I purchase VIP tickets on our next visit. However, because we so enjoyed learning the game, we left Invesco, knowing that we would have to come back for another Outlaw event!

I was ver dissapointed when they called the game. It was only the third quarter, and hardly raining. My boyfriend and i were really enjoying the game, for it had just started to get really good. I paid a good amount of money for the tickets and was extreamly sad when the money was waisted. I didnt even get to see a whole game!

Good game. The Outlaw games are enjoyable. Very low key. No beer spilling or foul mouths like other games that are played there. Parking is easy. I can take the family. The fans get excited and the players are top notch, so it is great. Oh and it was wet, very very wet. But you can't control the weather.

If not for the constant music clips, even while the game was being played, this would get 5 stars. It was also pretty annoying to have "t-shirt tosses" and a water-bottle giveaway during the final minute of a tie game. Get that stuff out of the way during the first 3 quarters or so and let everyone focus on the game at the end! Besides that it was a great event. The players were very accessible and friendly during the pre-game FanFest, the skills on display were incredible, and the halftime contests were very entertaining, especially Queener's freestyle "Thriller" performance.

What a great game! Exciting, went into overtime; great half-time competitions! Crowd was really into it! Not sure we're too thrilled with the "Old School" vs "Young Guns" change -- you end up rooting for both sides, but maybe that's okay, too, because you feel like you win either way!

LaCrosse while already an enjoyable and accessible sport is made all the better by being able to watch an entertaining all-star game at one of the best sports venues in one of the best sports cities in the US. I enjoyed the all-star format of new versus 'old' players and thought it worked well considering there are only six teams to pull players from. Families will find the event easy fundable (we got outstanding seats for four people for under $80) and even if the kids (or parents) are new to the sport everyone will catch on quickly.

The MLL All Star Game was an overall enjoyable evening. The players were accessible to the fans, and most of them seemed to truly enjoy the events that were scheduled. On the field, after a slow start the players began to get used to each others styles and the scoring was on with some deft and clever shots in a closely fought match ending in sudden death overtime. Even though a number of goals were scored the goal tenders made some great saves during the evening demonstrating why they were selected to be in net. The half-time skill competition was fun and it was entertaining to see a no-holds barred (and apparently no rules) free style trick shot competition. Having the three skills competed during half time was a good way to handle this and the break between halves while longer than usual was definitely fun. Denver and Invesco Field did a good job hosting the event with a pretty decent crowd turning out to see the "Young Guns" vs the "Old School". The only thing I would have liked to see is more coverage by the Denver newspaper. Very little was listed in the paper in the days leading up to the events and game. Even on the day of the game the paper had no mention of the game and the day after, the only entry was a line score. Perhaps a little more media coverage would have increased the number of folks attending the game day festivities and perhaps the game itself. Overall a fun event and I would go again if its in Denver or close enough to make the trip.

I have never been to a professional lacrosse game. Just never really looked into it I suppose. Then I saw the ad for the MLL All-Star game and figured it might be fun to go. Tickets were incredibly cheap so why not? Well the atmosphere was completely enjoyable, the game was a blast to watch and because tickets were so cheap I got a great seat. I really am suprised that this lacrosse fad hasn't caught on to be truthful. The tickets are cheap, the kids seem to have a blast and the players are humble enough to really want to get the crowd kicking. I saw players signing autographs whenever they could and the kids really ate it up. That doesn't mean that adults won't like, I went with a female friend of mine and we both had a blast. Overall, a very surprising but awesome event.

The game was terrific, and fireworks were incredible. However, the seats we bought were aisle seats, but when we got to the stadium, we found they were right in the middle of the rows and people were sitting in our seats. We ended up moving further up to keep the peace and to not have to climb over someone--not sure what happened, because I would not have purchased them had if I had known they were not aisle seats.

Good lacrosse, but only one available entry to stadium for 29,000 fans, long concession lines, raw pizza, bad hot dogs, horrible player interviews/joke videos during timeouts, cheesy sideline announcer (stick to cheerleading), tortuously long wait for post game fireworks with more absolutely horrible player skits/songs and lame video production accompanying ok fireworks. Paratroopers were the highlight of the night.

Outlaws spanked the Cannons followed by the best fireworks show in Denver. My only suggestion would be to kill the scoreboard during the fireworks, like they do at Coors Field, as it detracts from the show.

We were hopeful that the July 4th Denver Outlaws lacrosse game would live up to the hype. The game was fun, 25-11 final, so lots of scoring excitement, then the fireworks show after was fantastic, truly the best fireworks show in Colorado (Skydivers, fireworks, video, plus music). We will come back next year!

If you enjoy watching a fast paced sport with amazing athletes lacrosse is for you. I m not sure if alcohol sales are limited but we realized we did not see one drunk or disorderly fan. This is hard to find st a professional sports event and so it is very family friendly. Also the very reasonably priced tickets mean we will be back many times. The fireworks display was absolutely amazing and the video that played with it made the show very special.

The game was very close in the first half and then at halftime came the Severe Weather Delay of over an hour. Thunder and Lighting must have sparked the Outlaws as they ran away with the game in the third quarter. With awesome passing, timely goals and great keeping, the Outlaws prevailed. The only down side was the continuous music being played during the game. It was distracting from the great play on the field. So Hint hint, Outlaws, ditch the music during the game, nobody wants to hear it. Stick to timely play by play like other sports.

The game was exciting, fun, and one of the best I have seen. The Outlaws scored enough points for us all to have free Chic-fil-A. In addition, Outlaws goalie Jack Kelly fired a shot 110 yards downfield to the other goalie and SCORED! It was incredible. And, the fireworks after the game were fantastic--better than previous years. The 4th of July events are great for families.

I must be getting old. I found the whole experience to overwhelming. I went with the intention of watching a lacrosse game and explaining the game to my young children, one of whom just started playing. Unfortunately, the constant music being cranked from the speakers made that near impossible. I guess I was surprised that the continued during play. It was totally distracting from the game itself and made any sort of communication with my family near impossible. I guess we'll stick to watching these games at home. I won't even get into the fireworks show after the game which was overshadowed again by the music and produced videos playing on the big screen.

The game and the fireworks were great! Everything else related to our 4th of July experience was horrible. 1. Forcing us to pick up our family pack tickets within 1/2 hr of the start of the game was not necessary. 2. Forcing all fans through 1 gate with staff who didn't know what they were doing was ridiculous. 3. Forcing us to stand in line for our free hot dog & drink only to find out that we needed to get replacement coupons in another booth, and then return to the extremely slow line for our food & beverage was unbelievable!! We missed the entire 2nd quarter, half time and 3rd quarter trying to get our meals. 4. There were no parking attendants at the end of the game to help the cars leave the lots efficiently. We sat for over 1/2 hr in our car before the traffic began to move. If the organization of this event cannot be improved, we will not be interested in returning next year.

The Outlaws game was lots of fun. For starters, it was in Mile High stadium--what's not to love about that? The parking was plentiful and reasonably priced. The food and drink concessions were tasty and not as overpriced as you would expect at a sporting event. The fireworks show was awesome, even though the wind really picked up during the show. The video that went with the fireworks was a little cheesy, but we ignored it and kept our eyes on the sky.

The game was great fun and the fireworks were excellent! Especially liked the John Denver song and not sure I understood the selection of Jenny I've Got Your Number but whatever. Our seats were in section 106 row 1 and when we arrived prior to the game, the ground in front of our seats was piled with empty water bottles and it was unacceptable that no one had cleaned up before the game. Why? I got the sense there may have been some youth lax event earlier and if so, the coaches and players should not be invited back. I've never sat in a public venue that was so disgustingly dirty before and to think I actually paid extra for those seats ... Otherwise there would be 2 more stars...

Overall the experience was positive - once you are in the actual stadium. Pros: you can sit pretty close to the action, even buying tickets last minute, and the athleticism on the field is incredible to watch. The Outlaws make it fun during downtime with video snippets of the players and coaches doing funny things or competing in contests with random audience members. Even though there aren't too many concessions opened, there are enough that you can find one with a short or non-existent line and get typical over-priced stadium snacks for the kids you bring. :) We did find it curious that there wasn't much sportscasting, if any, but it was helpful to see the various different rules and parts of the game explained on the jumbo tron. We didn't mind there being no sportscasting. The fireworks show was the best I've seen - the timed music and video along with the multiple points of fireworks being sent off, was really an awesome experience. The wind made it all the fireworks float to the west rather quickly but they were still clear enough. The way they shut off the stadium lights with the mascot was creative and super fun. Cons: Parking, both getting in and out of the stadium was almost enough of a hassle to make us NOT want to come in the future. There are only certain points of entry for the parking and we didn't get there until right as the game began - we had to wait in a long line that went to a far off parking area longer than it took us to drive to the stadium. Then upon leaving, we thought we had parked in a lot that we could exit rather quickly, but there wasn't anyone there to facilitate the exit, so it was super inefficient and of course, rude people who didn't let people in only made the process that much more drawn out.

went to Outlaws game on 4th for the fireworks. What a dud. last year: great videos coordinated with patriotic, moving music. This year: half of videos were of mascot, team and cheerleapers clowning around. Hardly a salute to USA. My advice in 2017: stay away unless the fireworks planners remember what the day means.

While the Outlaws are struggling more this year due to several long term team members retiring, this Saturday's game against Boston was great. We started 3 points down but by the end of the quarter were ahead and ended up winning by several points. Both teams had several turnovers that should not have happened. I am sure as our players become more proficient they will again become a world championship team! The fireworks were a great addition. We came with a friend who had her sister and family arrive for a visit from Cambodia this past week. By the second quarter the four visitors were definitely enjoying the game.

A friend and I took our sons to the seasons closing game. The level of competition and athleticism was exciting to watch. The crowd was fun, easygoing, and there was a lot of camaraderie. You get a high quality sporting event and a more intimate up-close environment. And, the low price tag means that you can catch a few games a season. The day was extremely hot, yet the staff allowed people to move up under the cover of shade, which made for a comfortable afternoon. Just an easy going environment mixed with a lot to cheer about.

That was an awesome game. The Outlaws never gave up and ended the season on a strong note plus gave the fans something to look forward too next year after a so-so season in 2015. This game and the effort by the Outlaws reminded me a lot of the Championship team from last year.

We usually enjoy watching the Outlaws play but due to conflicts this was the first game this year. And they lost 22-9 which made for a very boring game. Before we buy tickets to another game this year we will look at how they had been playing overall. This was embarrassing as we had bought tickets and invited family and friends. For last year's national champions the performance was AWFUL!!!!! The fireworks were great and almost (though not quite) worth price of admission. We'd like to go to one more game but only if it looks as thought hey have a chance of winning.

I always love Love watching the lacrosse games. Since I go every year for 4th of July, It would be nice to see something new with the firework display. Otherwise it's pretty amazing!

I have no idea what was the root cause of this defeat but after being trained in Canadian style lacrosse, it was painful to watch the Outlaws be on the receiving end of that style of play. The knife in the back was the end of half pass by Boston across half the field followed by a great catch and rapid shot into the Outlaw's goal. Still, the Outlaws never gave up and are great sports. You can tell they play for the love of the game and that is something everyone in Denver should be proud of. I would love to have the announcer describe the game of lacrosse and the role of sportsmanship in it for a brief minute or two before this special Fourth of July game, because I think many of the people attending know little about the sport (based on them booing the Boston Cannons as they came on the field). Most impressive was the sportsmanship both teams showed. There was quite a bit of hand shaking and friendly exchanges on the field between players and that more than anything should indicate just how much the players of this game value teamwork and sportsmanship above self. Where was Stix? He was much more prominent a few years ago. We saw him on the field only once this year and the videos of him were few and far between. The fireworks show was awesome, as always. Very impressed with it and it is a real crowd pleaser.

The game was fun even though the Outlaws lost. The fireworks show was AMAZING! This is the fourth year we have come on the 4th of July and it was another great experience.

The fireworks was not what it has been in the past. It seemed a little weird. The music was not very patriotic and the video was a huge distraction. The bright screen took a lot away from the fireworks and I didn't get the whole Jesse Girl song with the animal in the background stalker her....weird weird. I also thought see the players and the families was stupid. Next time just play music and turn the screen off. Pretty lame this year folks.

There are times in life when it hits you how wonderful this country is and how incredible Denver is as a place to live and raise children. For my three children and myself, that reminder comes every year during the 4th of July game when the Outlaws try to kick butt and take names. The Outlaws do their best to win, the half-time shows are very crowd engaging, and the fireworks bring tears to my eyes every time. The Outlaws honor those who have fought for our freedom in moving ways, the team works hard to win their games, the dogs chasing Frisbees during half time is a huge crowd pleaser, the announcer does a great job keeping it interesting for the little ones with engaging banter, and the fireworks with patriotic films on the big screen are a can't-miss experience. Having flown over New York harbor during the 1976 fireworks display and watched many fireworks over Avon lake in Vail for most of my life, I've seen some pretty spectacular reminders of how great our nation is no matter how much we all may agree or disagree with what's going on politically. However, the Outlaw's 4th of July experience, always brings you back to home. The real reasons why our country is a special place to live in its purest form. If you are disheartened by what's going on in our country, THIS is the game to attend in order to renew your faith in humanity, to relive why great sports are an important focal point in our lives, why those who fight for our freedom matter, and how great fireworks displays are meant to take your breath away! Go watch the Outlaws do their best. Go enjoy everyone united in a reminder of what the 4th of July is really all about. Go show your children why our nation is special. Above all else, go remind yourself why Colorado is the place so many love to visit and why we're lucky to live here people. It's worth every moment and every penny spent.

Lacrosse is an exciting game to watch! Lots of action. Wish that the Outlaws won on their home turf, but was satisfied with the game. I was watching and rooting for the Outlaws the entire game.

The fireworks where awesome as usual! However the Outlaws in the biggest game of the season and a game that could really help put lacrosse on the map and increase attendance for future games, etc. didn't even show up. The Outlaws for whatever reason weren't competitive and seemed to just give up and went through the motions. This was easily the most disappointing sporting event I've been to they made the Nuggets look good.

Outlaws completely outclassed by Cannons. Team appeared to give up early in the second half. Fireworks were not as good as past years. The show from Elitches walking to the parking lot were actually better.

Constant music (and generally bad music, turned up to 11), random drumming, flashing scoreboards while play is going on made the game itself almost a sideshow. A headache-inducing nightmare

We go to these games quite a bit. This is the first time we had experienced absolutely disgusting porti-potties while tail-gating. Looked like they hadn't been serviced since last event at Sports Authority Mile High. I won't go into details as to what was in all three of them but kids described them to a tee. Very surprised that they were in the condition as they were in for an important experience as the 4th of July game! I would recommend going to the games based off previous experiences but needed to share my disappointment. The game was disappointing, tough season. The firework show was spectacular as always.

All set for a great evening, no fireworks on the field until after the game. Boston, with the exception of the first three minutes, was in total complete control. This was the highest attendance game in history, and the Outlaws chose to not participate. It looked to us like they didn't have any energy, or interest, in playing lacrosse. We don't go very often, and we sure won't be back this year.

The Outlaws were totally outplayed on the 4th. No energy, little effort, and displayed no trace of the ball movement and teamwork that made them champions last year. The firework show was incredible, although $32 is a bit steep if the on-field product is going to be so poor. Maybe back off on the Jumbotron action; a bit overwhelming and conflicted with the fireworks.

We are big lacrosse fan, but this game was not exciting at all. To make matters, worse stadium personal had the worst people skills we have every encountered. Between there selective bag rules to just rude. Will never attend a event there again.

The Outlaws, Mammoth and DU pioneers make the mile high city lacrosse capital of America for good reason. All three are simply amazing not to mention they have the best lacrosse player in the history of lacrosse, John Grant Jr. Plus as an additional bonus both rosters are filled with ex DU players

This was a great way to spend the 4th of July! Watching the Outlaws win and then a spectacular fireworks display in the Colorado evening, it does not get any better than that! This was a great family event and I would highly recommend it for anyone considering it for next year.

Everybody loves the home team to win, and the Outlaws are undefeated. Add a beautiful Denver summer evening and Sports Authority Field, and you cannot lose. Fireworks on top of all that, and it was a great 4th of July event to attend. LiverpoolReggie

This was our first lacrosse match. It was wonderful. The action was fast, the players were explosive, and the goalie was fabulous. If I lived in Denver I would become a season ticket holder. We were there on the 4th of July and the fireworks after the match were stunning and breathtaking. The Outlaws rule!

Lacrosse is a fairly entertaining sport, but it's a niche - a growing niche - yet one with a fraction of the following in say, Fantasy Football's corner. (There actually is a small segment into Fantasy Lax). The problem I had was with the fireworks after the game. It was a great show -a bit corny with the Toby Keith's of the country world and the unconditional support of America found tied to the choreographed music- but the entertainment value and creative eye was visible in the work put out for the 31.000+ on hand. Still, there were many "squatters," moving from seat to seat, and with people coming just for the explosions and well after the game ended, this presented a distraction and some awkward moments. I believe in the human ability to work out conflict, as long as basic social and communications skills exist. But this is Denver, a diverse and highly ethic city, and that's not possible always. For example, I was approached by a man who didn't speak much English but simply started to point at the seats next to me, in a disturbing and almost aggressive animation, It's not our fault you couldn't find a parking spot because you decided to leave after your kid's nap. These interactions are not what I need at 9:45 pm, when I've been sitting with my 4 year old and winding down, ready to bike home after the final gelatin blast. And the stadium is not really able to mediate, as it seemed they were all set to close up after the game. In sum, lacrosse is intriguing, and I'd attend another game- and maybe draft a fantasy team if I started to understand the Xs and Os better and if we revert back to pre-Babylon and add another day in the week- but I would not attend a game with any event scheduled afterwards.
