Big Mike Geier & Kingsized

Second time I have gone. My favorite part of the show are the Dames Aflame dancers with all their different show girl costumes. Band is very good and Big Mike pays tribute to Elvis by singing his songs well, even though he doesn't look like Elvis, it is still an entertaining show.

This was my 3rd or 4th Elvis Royale show with Big Mike and his Kingsized Entertainment posse and the Dames a Flame dancers, and this was the best one so far. If you are an Elvis fan, you MUST catch one of these shows - January and August. Even if you're not a big Elvis fan, this is still an awesome musical event that everyone will enjoy. Don't miss it!

2nd time seeing this show. Caught it for the first time earlier this year in January. Great band performance.....extremely tight and worth the price of admission. Mike is the ideal front man for a band. Fun, personable and has a powerful voice. Wish he did more talking between songs, it makes the show all the more memorable.

Fourth time there for Big Mike. Great show. Missed Amazing Grace and kinda disappointed with encore. WWED didn't work for me. Rather hear some more popular Elvis tunes. But I'll be back in August with more friends. Every time I bring new guests they love it.

I was lucky to see Big Mike Geier & Kingsized three different times in the last three months and every show was terrific. The first event was a Vegas Themed fundraiser and the show was big band, Frank Sinatra flavored swing. A full complement of Vegas style showgirls added a lot of color to the band's incredible musical prowess. The second show was their annual Christmas Carol event at the Variety Playhouse - excellent! The show was family friendly and next year I will know to bring my kids too. The last show (this past weekend) was part of their annual Elvis tribute offerings which again was vastly entertaining. If you have not seen this band yet I highly recommend catching them the next time they do a show here. Rumor is that the act may hit the road and it may become more difficult to catch them here in Atlanta. Tickets are usually general admission and you will most likely be on your feet for the entire show but the act is worth three times the price of admission!

This is my third year going to Big Mike's Elvis show. This man not only has an amazing voice and set list, he is funny and a geniune nice guy. He will pose for pics with anyone that wants them after the show. His band and backup singers are awesome and the Dames Aflame are so beautiful to watch while he sings. Never a glitch - always a perfect show every time. See him just one time and you will be addicted forever!

We went to our first Elvis Royale show at the Variety Playhouse this weekend - and it will certainly not be our last. The show was incredible - so much fun! Big Mike was on fire and rocked the house! He is so dynamic on stage - the entertainment never stopped especially with the Dames Aflame doing their dance routines in their showgirl costumes! Mike shared some great stories, explaining why they chose specific songs and giving us great insight into their unique take on various Elvis songs. Great show...highly recommended to any and all. Catch the next one in August!

Big Mike is wonderfully entertaining! He sings and plays the guitar with wonderful talent and enthusiasm! The Dames Aflame were wonderful as well and always "shake" up the place!

This is my 2nd time I've seen Kingsized in concert, and they never fail to amaze. They energize the crowd, and keep everyone happy from start to finish. Plus, when the band is having fun, it really shows in their music. The members of Kingsized can never die, so I can always go to their shows.

I think the band was the best thing about this show. I think Elvis shows should always be respectful, and at times this was not.

If you've ever seen Big Mike & Kingsized accompanied by the Dames a Flame, you know what to expect: incredibly talented musicians, singers, and dancers having a really good time putting on a great show. You don't even have to be an Elvis "enthusiast" to enjoy the show as their renditions of traditional songs occasionally take some surprising turns. (Remember the segue from "In the Ghetto" to the instrumental of "Stairway to Heaven"? You would if you were there last Saturday.) Mike belts out the tunes as only he can, with his Sweet Potato back-up singers surrounding him with soaring vocals. Robert rocks the guitar, Tim tears up the bass, and Sammy supplies the syncopation on the drums. This feast for the ears is complimented by the lusciously distracting Dames a Flame, keeping you engaged and entertained all night long. Got your tickets yet?

This was the best live show I have ever seen in Atlanta and I've lived here a long time. Every song they played was actually an improvement on the original version, the costumes were delightful and Little E was the perfect Elvis. Big Mike is always the start of show and projected the grace and professionalism of an actor/musician who has been in the business a lifetime.

It was a fun, energetic show. Big Mike and his band were extremely talented.

THIS IS THE THIRD TIME I HAVE SEEN THE SHOW AND IT GETS BETTER EVERY TIME. HIS ENERGY IS UNMATCHED AND SONGS ARE GREAT. LOOKING FORWARD TO HIS JANUARY 2012 SHOW.

Dames Aflame dancers were reason enough to go, but add in Lil E and Big Mike... fantastic. I see Big Mike probably twice a year and each time makes me wonder why I don't go 12 times a year.

What a blast! Big Mike and Kingsized and the Dames Aflame put on one hell of a show! Not to be missed!

Calling this show Elvis impersonation doesn't do it justice - it is so much more. Fanfare, costumes, dancing - and great music - some of it Elvis and some not. It looked like Mike, the band and the dancers were having just as much fun as the audience. We will definitely make this a regular on our music calendar.

This show is fun fun fun. Bring your dancing shoes and prepare to dance, sing and laugh all night. Not all the songs were Elvis, he threw in some other stuff too. When he sang "My Way" the crowd went wild. Really a night of pure fun.

Big Mike and crew NEVER disappoint!!! I'll keep going to this show as long as I'm still breathing!

Kingsized brought the "house down" again last night at the Variety Playhouse! Mike Geier's charisma, poise, voice and smile resonate throughout the evening. The Dames A Flame were "smoking hot" and the Trivino Brothers "smooth talking" their way through the night! "Elvis" made an unforgettable celestial appearance...and the Grand Finale is one you'll never forget. People will be lining up for the Christmas extravaganza! Thanks Big Mike!

Mike Geier and company gave a great performance. His singing was fabulous and the mix of songs and presentation kept the crowd rocking. The dancers were great, the band was exceptional and the vocalists were amazing. I plan to go to see other performances by big Mike in the future.

Big Mike has quite a team that performs with him. He brings on surprise guests and lets the back up singers get in the spotlight. Of course the Dames a Flame liven up the show with their beautiful Vegas type costumes. This show was to honor Elvis' birthday but he really didn't sing that many Elvis songs. Big Mike always give you your moneys worth.

This is the 3rd or 4th time I've been to this show and it always exceeds my expectations. The back-up singers were GRRRREEAT, the band was totally in sync with Mike's every note, the drums, lighting, etc was impeccable but the guitar playing done by Robert was outstanding!! The dancers give the program quite a lift as they add a little spice to the music. Great performances by all. I give the show 5 stars......Mike's voice was exuberant and he seemed full of energy and quite happy to be doing this show with as many times as he has performed it. Maybe the more he does it the better it gets!!

I've been waiting for years to see this show, it did not disappoint! Real Las Vegas style entertainment with a twist :-) Mike Geier was bigger than life, in great voice and full of fun. We loved loved LOVED it!

Great energy, dancing, music, and overall show. I recommend this twice-a-year show to anyone who loves music.

I've been going to this show for years and it just gets more polished and more enjoyable every time. First rate musicians, great lead and backup vocals, the lighting, the sound... every aspect of the show was perfect. Mike Grier's voice is just outstanding to the very last note of the night.

Big Mike puts on a high-energy show. Though the campy aspects of this performance (midget Elvis, costumed dancing girls, etc.) make it hard to take Big Mike seriously. So it's all just for fun right??? Every song is reduced to the common denominator of a hard pounding rhythm (think Excedrin headache commercial). When even Elvis' classic tender ballads and gospels are amped-up to the level of ear-splitting noise, the concept of song selection looses its meaning. Speaking of noise, the acustics in the Variety Playhouse have all of the fine nuances of a high school gym. The speakers struggled to provide the output. Maybe Big Mike really does have a good voice and some range afterall, but it's hard to tell when he's just shouting over the too loud band in a too audio-challenged setting. The 3-hour show had me looking at my watch wondering when the pain would finally be over. Definitely a case of too much quantity and not enough quality.

Big Mike Grier is always entertaining. His Vegas style show certainly adds to the enjoyment. I was not really pleased with the song list for this show. There were a few songs I was not familiar with. Also, I was surprised that on the Anniversary of the Death of Elvis he didn't do more of his songs? He certainly gave us our moneys worth. I believe the show was about three hours. We always stand in front of the stage so my wife can catch a scarf from Little E! Although the song list wasn't to my liking, he still put on a great show!

What an amazing show! Big Mike always sounds great, hilarious, and keeps the surprises coming. I've seen Big Mike 6+ times and each time is fresh and excellent. Variety Playhouse is the perfect venue for this show as well. Honestly, upon walking out, I was really happy about the show, but a bit annoyed that the show had been so short. Surely it was under an hour! NO, in fact, it was well over 3 hours of pure entertainment. Time just slipped by so quickly. I will never miss this show.

Although the fantabulous Mike Geier rocked the stage, the show was far less dynamic than in previous years. I am huge Geier fan and attend all his shows at the Variety Playhouse. This one left me wanting the same energy as in past years...

Big Mike is highly skilled, very entertaining and I recommend to everyone.

More fun, more of a production-just an amazing show. I'm surprised they were able to put on such an amazing show for the price of the tickets. Musicians, dancers and of course Mike are phenomenal & their performances are sure to please. Highly recommend to all ages

We have seen Big Mike at least 12 times over the past few years. He is local gem. He puts on a great show and sings a variety of songs to keep all satisfied. He maintains a following of fans that are there for every show. His Dames a Flame are a wonderful addition to his program.. They are Vegas style showgirls who really liven up the show. One of the things we enjoy is being able to stand at the stage to watch the show. It's a thrill when he reaches down to shake your hand ! Big Mike is a class act and a great value for the price of his tickets!

Mike's voice was incredible. Along with a great guitar player and the Vegas showgirls, I was extremely entertained. I'm glad that I went to the show. I will definitely go again next year.

Big Mike Geier is one of the great local entertainers. We have seen him more than 10 times. He has a faithful following that attends most of his shows. He is quite an entertainer and keeps the crowd engaged. He has a versatile voice which allows him to sing a variety of songs. He usually performs at least a few Elvis songs during each show. And when he does you can see the crowd sing along with Big Mike, word for word. The Dames of Flame, with their beautiful, colorful costumes compliment his show. We enjoy him so much that when we exited the show that night we purchased tickets for his Christmas show. His band and backup singers are both talented and round out his show. I would like to add that the Variety Playhouse is a perfect venue to see Big Mike. I really hope he gets so popular that he needs a bigger venue. But in case he doesn't, we'll continue to enjoy seeing him at Variety.

This show so far exceeded my expectations it was shocking! This show has it all! It has humor, sex appeal, and above all musical talent! Big Mike is the ultimate showman and the Dames Aflame, WOW! I will put this on my MUST SEE list for August and january for years to come!

This is one of the best shows and live performances you will ever see, it is non-stop sing along fun while watching a phenomenal vocalist and electrifying showman perform Elvis favorites (most from Elvis' "concert years") flanked by beautiful, graceful, and engaging showgirls in amazing, glittering costumes, and backed up by an incredible band with horn section. The fact that Elvis Royale (aka Kingsized Elvis Show) has remained an Atlanta phenomenon for 16 years is a shame, it is worthy of a residency in Vegas. By the end of the show you regard Big Mike with the same reverence as you might Elvis himself (if you had had a chance to see him!) and then Big Mike goes and does a meet and greet, preacher style, as folks leave the venue, something Elvis probably could never do. Nobody but Big Mike Geier could pull off such a performance, do not miss Elvis Royale the next time it comes around.

This ain't no cheesey Elvis show - this is ELVIS ROYALE! Big Mike puts on an awesome performance, with a little of his own style. The live band is spectacular along with the Dames of Flame - it's like an ELVIS revival!! We have been three times already and would go again! I'm moved every time we go - LOVE IT!!!

After being out in Seattle for several months Big Mike came home and sang to us again. We have seen him many times at Variety Playhouse. His show is always entertaining with a good mix of songs. His addition of the Dames a Flame is a great way to add a touch of Vegas.

I have been to the Variety three times to see Big Mike and Kingsized and have never been disappointed. (The parking situation is a little dicey.) The show is very straightforward and professionally produced. I know nearly everybody thinks they can sing, me included, but this guy really takes it up all of the notches to the top. You can tell he puts everything he has into his performance, not only immense talent, but more than enough preparation. The musicians are as brilliant as I have ever heard. The Dames Aflame are nearly indescribable. Beautiful, talented dancers with smiling faces, demonstrating they are the best at what they do. "Tiny E" was great, too. He has a commanding stage presence.

Bi Mike Gier is a must see event. He is awesome as is his band!!!

Seeing Big Mike live in concert with the Dames Aflame is a right of passage for Atlantans. They put on an excellent show with Elvis covers. Don't forget to dress up in an Elvis costume!

It was an amazing show from start to finish, every person in the band is a master of their respective craft!

I got to see Big Mike's Elvis Royale show this past Sat nite for the 1st time. It was great. 11 piece band, Vegas show girls and a really cool little person dressed like Elvis. Mike is big, the sound is big - Elvis would be proud. BM also played some non-Elvis tunes like Cheap Trick. It all worked! Afterwards the entertainers hung around outside for photos and were super nice and appreciative. We got there at 7:30 just when the doors were opening. Parking was tight so don't wait too long to arrive.

Great as always. Big Mike can sing anything. Band is amazing. Hate that he can't do January show but best of luck in Seattle. See you next August. Been six times and gets better every time. Dump the guy/girl dancer. Not pretty.
