This young group has amazing fresh energy, and, they know how to both feed off the crowd to stoke themselves into an electrified frenzy on stage and feed the crowd with great stuff to charge them WAY up

The venue that it was held was standing only so I got to stand in the front cause i got there early. Flobots had an incredible energy about them. They were all singing the words to the songs and trying to get the crowd hype. The songs were a good mix of both the new and old cds. They had great performance qualities the lights were used in a way that made it feel appropiate for each song. Also they sounded amazing live!

My friend is a big Flobots fan. He got a group of us to go to the show. I thought the show was great. All groups that performed brought a lot of energy and kept the crowd moving. Would recommend this show to anyone looking to see a great live show.

Can't believe that Flobots could be even better in person...but they are! And the band is so down to earth--they stuck around after the show to talk to all of us, and seemed genuinely happy to be with their fans! :)

From the day I first listened to their full album "Fight With Tools" I said 'this is a band I have got to see live!' Well now I have, & I was not disappointed. Their live sound was consistent w/ their album & their tempo & energy from song to song was solid.

The energy in The Basement was off the charts. Old fans, new fans, people that didn't really know the band,...it didn't matter, everyone was feeling it. The Flobots played for an hour and forty-five minutes, and they played a near even split of their older tracks and new ones. Great crowd! Only regret, not hearing the mixup of "So Happy Together". They played it at Peabodys in Cleveland last year. The highlight of the show!

The Flobots put on one of the best shows I have ever seen in my life!!! As always the show rocked while being tasteful and brilliant. Easily, the Flobots are one of the most inspiring and educated bands to surface in our current culture, and after seeing them live you are sure to feel uplifted. After the show the band came out to meet their fans. I can honestly say they are some of the most down to earth people you could ever hope to meet. Each and every member of the band was humble and extremely approachable. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND EVERYONE IN AMERICA TO SEE THE FLOBOTS LIVE!!!

I liked Flobots before. Their recordings are good. I had no idea, however, that the live show would be this awesome. I would roughly equate it to the March on Washington.

Wow this was probably one of the best shows I've been to. Flobots put on an incredible live show and seeing them in a small club setting was even better. I was able to get up to the very front and it was just an incredible experience. The opening band Kinetix was alright they were solid musically but all their songs kinda sounded the same and were all about sex... Then The Flobots came on and just killed it. They ripped through a set of old and new songs with not a single bad song. They played all the best from "Fight With Tools" from Mayday!!!, to Handlebars, to Rise, all the best tracks were played. All the new stuff was great too and I am now eagerly looking forward to the new album. So I definitely recommend seeing these guys if you get a chance, they have a great message and put on a fantastic live show

Flobots are out of this world awesome live! Ya know how some bands sound great in the studio and not so great in concert? Well, these guys sounded amazing! That was the best live show I've seen in a long time. It was a small venue so I was able to get right up close. It sounded great. They were very energetic and fun to watch. They really rocked and their rap flo was off the hook! Good vibe from the crowd too, no negitivity, I felt perfectly safe which is rare nowadays. This was the first concert of their tour so, we got to hear new stuff from their upcoming album as well as all my favorites. All of this and a positve uplifting message in their lyrics too. I can't wait for them to come back to Vegas again! I really had a blast! I also really appreciated the fact that their ticket price for their whole tour is $15.00. Large venue ticket prices have gotten way out of control.

The Flobots show at the Grog Shop in Cleveland Heights, OH was amazing. The band played songs off both their albums and the energy and passion as tremendous. Several times you could feel the entire floor of the venue bouncing from the crowd jumping to the rhythm of the music. Vocals were great, and the electric violin was something else. After the show, the guys came out and visited with the fans, signed autographs and showed just what a classy act they are. They believe in the topics they sing about and are trully trying to make the world a better place with their music. An excellent small venue show. I can definately recommend them to anyone who wants to see great live music and very inteligently composed rap with a positive message.

The Flobots had a great setlist of songs from the albums "Fight with Tools" and "Survival Story". Besides their major hit "Handlebars", the band played many other songs with great rhythms and great meanings. The crowd sang along to almost every song and went absolutely nuts when Mackenzie (the viola player) had a solo. During "White Flag Warrior" (usually featuring Tim McIlrath of Rise Against), the Flobots had the audience sing the chorus. The last song "Rise" had everyone jumping and feeling the motivation to get up and make change. Overall, the Flobots made a great show and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an energetic and fun concert.

Opening bands were "Champagne Champagne" and "Trouble Andrew". Both of these bands rocked. The Flobots came out and did their thing and it was absolutely amazing. They sound 10X better in concert. The Varsity is also a great place to see a concert and I highly recommend it to anyone.

The theatre is a fantastic venue. The first two bands really sucked-- Champagne Champagne was especially lame. But the main act, Flobots, were amazing. They played an hour and a half nonstop, and the energy they brought to the stage was unbelievable. The best part? They walked around and thanked the fans for coming to the show. What kind of band does that? An awesome one.

This is a group of very talented musicians and performers! Loved the energy and the message of the show. The group came down and mingled with the crowd after and that was a great bonus.. We really liked the Varsity Theater as a venue. We had a large group and there was something for everyone - comfy seating in the back, and dancing room in front.

Dan Black, Flobots, and the Crash Kings ended the CD101 Day show and all 3 were the best! Granted, since there were 6 bands on the bill, most had to play a shortened list. Biffy Clyro & Colin Gawel & the Lonely Bones were pleasantly surprising to see. However, Violent Soho was obnoxious and I was personally glad that they had opened (just to get them out of the way). Every song from them sounded the same heavy guitar-riff. This event was worth way more than the $5 ticket price. CD101 always brings it hard with their "low-dough" shows! If you missed out, you should make it a point to grab tickets for the CD101 SummerFest when it rolls around to August - you won't be disappointed!

Dan Black was awful, techno music and just weird all around. Did not fit in. Other than that music was great. Really liked Biffy Clyro and Flobots were better than I expected. They really got the crowd pumped. Of course the Crash Kings were great! Awesome to see live and they played a strong show. Great CD101 concert!

I went for Flobots, who are always a great time. Too bad the sound engineers dropped the ball; first the vocal microphones, then the viola at the end of the concert, which seemed to throw the band off a bit. Flobots endured mixing problems throughout their set. Crash Kings were OK; it is hard to transmit the energy when you are chained to a keyboard, but we all loved the wah pedal and the keyboardist got great effects from his setup. Funny to hear his speaking voice was as high as his singing voice. The real highlight of the night was the surprisingly fantastic Dan Black. Terrific dance grooves and an engaging and charming personality. He is a great showman and had all the women and secure-in-their-manhood men dancing. I look forward to his return for a solo concert in Columbus. But leave the girlie face paint at home, Dan, you scare the homophobes too much. Biffy Clyro was a ridiculous, unintentional parody, like Spinal Tap. Dudes, put your shirts on, because you don't have the stuff to strut! When the bassist turned to face his amps in his wide-legged power stance I was reminded of Napoleon Dynomite. For 5 bucks, it was a marvelous night of entertainment. Thanks to CD101 and the other sponsors.

The show was incredible, and the venue was also great. They had great energy, a good setlist (though you'd be hard pressed to get a BAD flobots setlist), and they all came out at the end to chat with the fans. They mixed new songs and older ones (they have a new album coming out, so many of the songs were from that.) Overall, I had a fantastic time. Kinetix were also good, I enjoyed watching them play too.

Flobots brought down the house as usual. This was my fifth or sixth time seeing them and I'll be back next time. Their political rants can be a little much but I get it. It's their schtict. Just don't go to their show unless you, at a minimum, voted for Obama. The one big bummer was that super cute viola player Mackenzie was absent. Last time I saw them I'm pretty sure she was pregs. Jonny5 and Brer must have hooked her up with some sick maternity leave. My buddy I took pointed out the fill in was also cute, BUT WHATEVER IT WASN'T MY MACKENZIE! Wheelchair sports camp opened, they were great also. Overall great show. Loved seeing them again at a small intimate venue, The Masquerade.

I absolutely enjoyed the show (ATL), and had a blast. I stood front and center, and loved every minute of it. I was sad to see McKenzie and Jesse were not touring with them, but the people filling in did a great job anyway. Per the usual, they all hung around after the show for pictures, autographs, and to talk with their fans. The opening act (New Fad Zoo) was also surprisingly awesome. I will forever go to all Flobots concerts in my area because they continue to impress me, and put on an amazing show. GO NOW! You won't regret it!

First time seeing a Flobots show and I have to say that I loved it. They really included the crowd in their show, having us sing choruses and chant along with the songs, as well as delivering messages of hope and positive values for the future. It's a pretty cool thing when the whole audience is chanting, "Fight With, Fight With, FIGHT WITH TOOLS!!!" over and over again. Just an all around great show, included new songs and the songs you wanted to hear (Defend Atlantis, Rise, There is a War going on for your Mind, Cracks in the Surface, Handlebars, Happy Together, Stand Up). Can't wait to see them again and to bring along some friends to see this great live show.

If you're into Flobots, you've probably heard they have a solid stage show. I went in with high expectations, and left with my mind blown. Every member of the band is an expert performer. They kept in perfect syncronization with each other, even pausing for a half beat now and then and picking it right up. But a performance is one thing; Flobots takes it to the next level with a humanitarian message everyone can agree on. I would probably consider myself more on the conservative side, but everyone agrees on issues like poverty and disease. They encourage donation and action, and don't take much profit for themselves. The beautifully talented viola player's "People Before Profit" shirt said it all. Bottom line: One of the best shows I've ever been to. A band that connects with their audience on so many levels and really delivers the sound.

This band totally blew all expectations out of the water. The stage presence that all of the members had was phenomenal. Their music would have been amazing just by itself, but the added meaningful lyrics elevated the experience to a new level. Everyone in the audience was tuned into the band and that just made the band play harder. Great show!

It was a good show, like...the energy was great. Well - ok actually the energy was a little weird. If you've been to any Christian concert then you'll relate and if not, then this is going to sound as weird to you as a Christian concert (so bear with me). Every song was so laden with a message that after a while you're like "Soooo...you really want me to fight the system, huh?" Maybe I was just weirded out that most people there were younger than my friend and I (we're 22). But the lyrics were very...empowering, but aimed not necessarily at people with the experience to make changes. Yeah, I guess that's it - they were telling high schoolers that just by being confident in their skills they can change the world. But whisper-thin blades cut more red tape than flailing bludgeons, and I think they got the crowd worked up into a flailing frenzy. Rather than encouraging listeners to hone skills to be effective, the emphasis seemed to be on uniting as a front and being loud. Which is cool, I mean, it's a concert. But it was weird to be preached at (in the non-religious manner) about making change when most kids in the crowd probably think that means wearing a Che tee-shirt. Buuuut...definitely go. Good beats. Reeeeal good beats. And the group that went before them, Chaos or something - really good too. Actually almost preferred them to Flobots (if Flobots hadn't done Handlebars which is shamelessly my favorite and the only one I went to see performed live that night).

I've never seen a hip hop type show before, and I was very impressed. I was amazed at how well the band recreated their sound live. The Trocadero wasn't packed, but everyone there was into the moment and the music that was happening.

Champagne Champagne wasn't terrible. K-OS was musically great. And the Flobots not only rocked us hard, not only psyched us up, but also hooked us up with multiple ways to fight the power and keep the faith. Right on. We will win, because we have better music.
