This stadium is awesome - VERY family friendly, easy to get to and out at the end of the game. The Frisco RoughRiders also provide plenty of entertaining things for the kids on and off the field... they just opened a 'lazy river' water feature there, where for the price of a ticket that includes the lazy river, you can float around the outfield wall!! The tickets were very reasonable and I purchased parking at the same time, so had both already covered before we reached the venue. This is a GREAT place for a date, family outing or even a company event... don't miss this gem in Frisco!!
This was the funniest baseball game I've ever attended. The format worked well. All players got to bat. Lots of hits and action. We enjoyed more than expected. We intend to go every year.
THERE'S NOTHING LIKE A DAY AT THE BALLPARK AND THE ROUGHRIDERS ARE THE TEAM TO WATCH! THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS A BAD SEAT AT THIS BALLPARK. TAKE PART IN A GREAT AMERICAN TRADITION AND GO TO THE GAMES!
We just moved to Frisco, TX from Denver, CO in April and we were pleased to hear that they hosted a AA team, the Rough Riders. For Mother's Day, my 2 year old daughter bought the three of us tickets to a game. We had a wonderful day at the ballpark and enjoyed all of it amenities. Dr. Pepper stadium is a great venue. It was nice to take our daughter to the playground to stretch her legs. The food and beverages were affordable (great to see a kiddie value meal). We just added a new addition to the famiy and looking forward to taking everyone to the ballpark very soon!
The Roughriders games are great for the entire family. The quality of baseball is good and there is not a bad seat in the stadium. The entertainment between innings keeps everyone involved in the game and provides a lot of fun. You can not beat the price for this entertainment. Money well spent.
We purchased the Dr. Pepper/McDonalds special as a Father's Day gift for my husband. We had not gone to see a RoughRiders game before. We loved the facility and thought the game was great. Our only feedback on the special ticket promo with McDonalds for four, four hats and the game is that the McDonald's coupons are misleading - you can only use one per visit.
Overall it was a fun experience. I thought the drinks and food are very high for a minor league team. The $19 tickets are way too expensive for where we sat (24th row in section 118). The people with grass seats in the outfield had a better view than us and those tickets are only $7. I would much rather pay slightly more to go to the Rangers game.
The game, the seats, the fireworks!!! Everything was perfect. Even with the rain around the 6th inning, we couldn't have had a better time. Thanks Roughriders and Co.!
It is a great place to go see a game. Easy parking and beautiful field...plus they won! Unfotunatly we were seated in the middle of a little kids birthday group! Wish there was a way to foresee that as I would have selected another section. Had there not been a group that would not sit still, they would have been great seats.
This was the first time that I bought tickets and went to the baseball game. The experience from buying the tickets and getting into the game was just remarkable. the staff greeted you and was very friendly (which I was very pleased). My wife and I enjoyed the game the entertainment during the game and really enjoyed the fireworks. We want to thank all of the people involved with this special day for us.
Had a blast even in the heat! We love going to the RoughRider games because all the seats are great, the people were work there are friendly and helpful and we always have a great time. It's a perfect thing to do with the whole family.
We had great seats at a very reasonable price right behind 3rd base. Food and drink costs were also a good value. Entertaining evening from the mascots to the ball game on Friday night in July. I will be taking my family there again soon.
A truly fun event for eves Dallas Sports fan. Got to see our favorite athletes interacting and clowning with each other. Plus play a pretty decent game. Saw lots of smile on both sides of the fence. And if you truly wanted an autograph, they were there for the having. Well done. I am slightly disappointed Dez Bryant choose not to show up or make advance notice of such. It was advertised from Day 1 he would be there. But that's a knock on him and not the ones that were there or those who ran the event.
It was bottom of 9th, Riders losing 3-1, 1st batter up I told my wife if he gets an out, we go home. If he gets on base, we stay for the rest of the game. Well he got a hit & we were glad to see the end of the game. They got bases loaded 2 outs & score the winning run.
Roughriders did not disappoint! Coming from behind 4 to 2 and getting 6 runs in one inning!! That is my kind of ball game! The fireworks show was amazing and unforgettable!
Great place to take the family to watch a little baseball, food was pretty good and you don't have to walk far to get it. There is no bad seat in the stadium. The crowd interaction through the whole game is amazing!!

Self, hubby and 7yr old daughter went. We had a wonderful time! There were many celebrities there that we did not even expect. Daughter was most excited about Nick Jonas being there. That was pretty cool. Oh- and of course Dirk. The announcer kept the show going- I don't remember his name, but he was hilarious and kept the crowd laughing with his humor. The MAVERICK MANIACS were hilarious. This was the first time I'd ever seen them- super funny. Honestly- we most enjoyed the fireworks finale. I haven't seen such an awe display of firework since I was a child. My daughters jaw was on the ground for the entire fireworks duration. Superb job. We would definitely go again. Good times.

First, Roughriders ballpark is fabulous. You should visit for that reason alone. Everyone there, players and viewers, were having a great time. Good family fun without the hassles of parking in Arlington. No one took this game seriously and yet there were some serious athletes there. Don't miss this.

As an avid Texas Ranger fan, this was my VERY FIRST Frisco Rough Rider game. I can't put into words how wonderful of a time that me and my family had. The ballpark itself is worth going to see. Although the Rough Riders didn't even score a run during this particular game, the overall experience scored a GRAND SLAM!

It was a little on the hot side, but we picked some empty seats in the shade and were fine. Great ballpark. You can usually have your pick of seats because it is far from sold out. Lots of room to spread out and not have to squeeze in next to people. Family-friendly atmosphere. Loved the dog shows in between innings.

We had a lot of fun, loved the ballpark, did not like the prices they charge at all, they are charging major league prices at a minor league park, it should not cost $120 to take a family of four to a ballpark. Minus the high prices, we really enjoyed the game and the park.

Watching a RoughRiders game at Dr. Pepper Park is fun for the whole family. The seats are close to the action, so the view is fantastic. If you can gather 20 or more friends, the Grab-N-Go $19.25 ticket is a steal. The free hot dogs & hamburgers are O.K., but the buns are not heated. I've eaten the $3.50 jumbo hot dog from the snack bar and declare they are much better, because the bun is heated. Children are encouraged to dance at the game with great music. Crazy sound effects add comic relief. Many contests with spectators keep the game interesting. The mascots are outstanding. When the children got antsy,I took them to the play area. The best thing was the fireworks display after Friday's game. Afterwards, my granddaughter got her ball and hat signed by a RoughRider. She was thrilled The only negative thing are the fire ants. They feed on the food dropped in the stands. I was bitten several times on the back.

I just went to my first game at the Dr. Pepper Ballpark last night. I have heard lots of good things about it but haven t had the chance to go before last night. I have to say, the place is Awesome. Clean, convenient, great food, and fun. The design of the park with the pavilion type buildings lends nicely to an open feel. Of course, there is no bad seat in the place either. This was my first time going a baseball game. I found it a very enjoyable and relaxing game to watch, although the crowd wasn't as excitable as I had expected them to be. Perhaps it was because the stands were not full. The buffer time activities were fun incorporating the audience (especially the little children). We had great seats and were able to see everything. This is a beautiful stadium. All in all, we had a wonderful evening at the ball park.

This was our third time attending this event and it seems to get better every year. Everything was perfect, except for the heat and that still didn't hamper anyone from having a great time. It was a excellent event, one my husband and I look forward to attending
This was a great opportunity to see our local area stars outside of their element. I highly recommend this event to any Cowboys, Stars, or Mavs fans who also like baseball. Our seats were next to the Riders' bullpen, so the left fielder was only a few feet away.
I attended the ball game with 3 young boys. They were greeted warmly and had many opportunities to get players' autographs. The youngest boy was chosen to go onto the field to tell a joke during the first inning and received a free t-shirt. Everyone had a great time, the food was great also.
This was my second year in a row to go to this event and I absolutely loved it (minus the Texas heat)! I do not remember how I stumbled upon this charity game, but I'm glad I did. I'm already planning on going next year. All the people that were out there were great. Warren Sapp had the crowd roaring with laughter.
The Rough Riders game is very entertaining and family oriented. No matter what seat you are in, it's a great view - up close. That's nice. You don't feel overwhelmed by the crowd and there is plenty of entertainment between innings.
This was our first game, and we LOVED it...we are trying to plan another this summer. We went for our son's 8th birthday, but was not aware of needing to notify 48 hours prior, so we missed getting to have his name announced. We will know for next year :^) It was an awesome time, even when rain came. He and his friend stayed out there, but soon brought their gloves, not wanting them to be ruined! We were hanging out under the porch, then went back to finish the game. A highlight was when the coach of the visiting junior college champs, sitting behind us, gave a signed ball to our 3 year old! He has thought that was pretty special. We loved all the entertainment during the game. Yea! for the diaper races and pie eating contest, HA!! The amazing FIREWORKS and getting autographs on their baseballs, gloves, and caps were a perfect ending to our first Roughrider game.
We took out son-in-law, daughter and 5 grand kids to the game Saturday night. What started out as a rainy Saturday, turned out to be a beautiful game night! Our 10 year old grandson got players autographs, a foul ball and three of the grandsons got to run the bases after the game. This is the perfect place for family fun, and the Rough Riders do it better than anyone. No need to drive almost two hours to spend $100's watching the Rangers when these guys are only 15 minutes away and far, far less expensive!
I am not a huge baseball fan mainly because of the amount of time the games take. This game renewed my interest though. The Rough Riders game was so much fun and there was always something going on to keep you entertained. Lots of freebies, which is great when you bring kids along, and everyone was super friendly. I was skeptical when friends told me there are no bad seats, but believe it! We were on the second row back next to the visitor dugout and had an awesome view of the game. As soon as we got into the car after the game I started looking at season ticket pricing. It's a bit of a drive for me (almost 3 hours) but I think it would be well worth it.
Although the heat took away some of the enjoyment, it still couldn't burn up the enthusiasm of the kids. we wanted to attend the Friday game w/the Ghostbusters theme, but couldn't make it due to working hours. It would be nice to have some overhead for all of the stands to keep some of the sun off, but maybe that's a future project, yes? Kudos to the ball teams for hanging in there in spite of the Texas heat-hats off to them!

I paid $19 for tickets that were 17 rows directly behind home plate but there wasn't a bad seat in the park. With the demise of the Fort Worth Cats, and the fun to be had seeing the Grand Prairie Air Hogs, we thought we'd go to our first Rough Riders game. We went specifically for one of the promo nights and really enjoyed the game. Beautiful stadium with a newly opened lazy river in right field (you need special tickets), plenty of food stands, great team store and friendly staff. I love the feel of the park - unlike any other I've been to - like you're on the coast in the northeast with gravel walking paths and suites that are located in little "beach houses". Seats behind the visitor dugout were easy to get and a great price. We were row 6 (second row of section) right behind the extended netting that covers the entire dugout. The only bad thing about the view was when the team would stand on the top step against the railing, sometimes blocking views of the batter.

We took our grown children and grandchildren because it was my and my son's Father's Day gift. Everyone had a great time including the "non baseball fans" in the family. There is so much to see and do and oh yeah, there's always a fine baseball team playing on the field. Food good but staff is great. Kids get to run bases after the game and there are family pics available on the field before the game. Next time we are going to go for the Lazy River section in right field so the kids, both large and small can enjoy this amazing new water feature. The only one in any ballpark in the world. This was a pleasant enough evening for the price. Be sure to add $10 parking to whatever you are paying. Lower level seats are not too good as there is not much of a pitch (little play on words) to the seating layout. I would sit at least half way up on the the lower level - maybe higher. I've been to other minor league games where the beer prices were reasonable and local breweries were supported (Nashville Sounds). You'll pay dearly for bad beer here. Still, a nice night if you don't have to drive too far.

I have been to this event for 12 years now. I did not enjoy it this year. I always go to see Geoff Stults and get his autograph and picture. This year he was late getting there so I did not get to see him before the game and since he was on Dirk's team,I could get nowhere near him during or after the game. This was the first year I have not seen him. I make something every year with the Heroes yearly logo for him to sign. I have everything on a wall in my room. Sadly, this year will be a blank. Also, the game did not last as long as it usually does and it was on a Friday so I had to take off work and get a motel room. So I wasted a lot of money and did not have a good time.

If I want to watch a baseball game I would go to the Rangers or Rough Riders. Dirk's game was what it was advertised as - a baseball game. The players need to be more entertaining like running to 3rd instead of 1st, some hijinks in the field, interact with the crowd. People are going to be entertained and this one failed. Also, just because the DNT was being shut down does not mean to end the game in the 7th so people going south are not inconvenienced but they could use a different route like 75.

My brother and I attended Dirk's baseball game for the first time this year and it was AWESOME! It was very hot in the beginning until the sun started going down so if you don't like sitting in the heat, it may bother you. I also typically don't like sitting outside for long periods of time , but honestly I had so much fun that I didn't even care about how hot it was. Plus, there are many shaded areas while sitting at the tables under the umbrellas. It only gets hot sitting in the stands, but just drink lots of water , wear sunglasses, some sunscreen and you will be just fine! We also were able to see many celeb athletes up close. I'm so glad we finally went, and we are definitely going again next year! There was also a fireworks show viewed on the baseball field at the end of the night! :)

This was a very unique and fun event to attend. There were so many different opportunities for my 11yo son to interact with many different athletes from all of the major teams here in DFW. We will be going back next year.

Having the game on a Friday evening in June is great because the sun has or is setting. The game itself was fun seeing the different sports athletes playing baseball. It's great that there were soccer players, football players, and basketball and a couple of baseball players come together on the same field. The drummer line and the "fat dancers" were great too. The fireworks after and going on the field to watch was fun too. I'd definitely do it again, and my 12 year son agreed.

I absolutely love this annual event. It's amazing how many people open their hearts and come together for a great cause. I would recommend everyone to enjoy an afternoon of fun and share a rewarding experience at the annual Dirk Nowitzski Heroes Charity Baseball Game.

It was an awesome experience for a great cause. You get to see so many great athletes just having fun and being themselves.
