Evansville Icemen

This was our first hockey game and we had a great time!! We took our 3 kids ages 13,8,5 and felt that the two younger ones will enjoy it more when they get a little older. They did really enjoy the entertainment between periods! Overall a great family time!!

It was our 3rd trip to see the Icemen and 3rd time sitting on the ice. Always fun to be that close and see up close and personal the action of these athletes.

Seats on the ice are $27, compared to Blues tics which are 4-5 times that. We love the venue, parking is easy and area around Ford Center has several restaurants and bars to eat and drink at before or after the game.

Highly recommend Evansville Iceman Hockey. Great show, awesome venue, really good hockey. Overall, an absolutely wonderful family experience.

First time to Evansville's new Ford Center. Came in with a friend from Chicago to watch the Icemen take on Fort Wayne. It was a great facility and a great game.

Icemen provided great family entertainment. I was especially pleased to see the Icicles dressed modestly . We will be attending other Icemen games.

the event was awsome, but not so impressed with the stadium, Roberts has much more room and you don't feel as if you were gonna topple over.

Great game & arena. The arena was very modern andeasy to find. Parking spaces was good. Very family oriented. My 9 year son loved it and wants to go back.

The new Ford Center made for an awesome experience at this IceMen game. We sat in Upper level but it really was not a bad seat! Over 8700k fans were in attendance for this game. Amazing experience and a family friendly environment.

Gates were supposed to open at 6:00. They didn't open until 6:20ish (we were told they didn't have the glass put up around the ice yet!) Then they wouldn't let us go to our seats for another 10 minutes. After we reached our seats, we were told we had to move seats because the Ford Center OVERBOOKED our section! The employees told us we would be VERY happy with our new seats - NOT THE CASE! Our seats were higher up than the ones we had purchased. We were in folding chairs and a whole section over from where our original seats were. I had purchased seats in the section that was in the middle of the ice and wasn't even close:( We enjoyed the games at Swonder a LOT more! The music and atmosphere was sooo much better. The new stadium is nice and I am sure we will return...hopefully our next experience will be better!

The first ever hockey game in the brand new downtown Ford Center was ***** from start to finish. There was an atmosphere from the start as the Icemen took on in state rivals Ft Wayne. The new arena has all the amenities... a world class jumbotron, wrap around graphics, comfy seats, even fancy magnetic draft beer machines! I would recommend to anyone to check out an Icemen game at the Ford Center.

Love Hockey and now It's in Evansville. I never had gone to a hockey game but now we go to all the home game it's a great time.

Really needs to upgrade the arena that they play in. Tough to really feel the environment from a arena that max seating capacity of 1600 people. I really hope to see another game and really hope that the team evolves as a team. They are very rough around the edges and really need to work on the power play abilities.

Good hockey. Intimate setting. Good sight lines. Reasonable tickets. Most avid, loudest fans of any sport.

We had a wonderful time. Enjoyed the fights, fun and food;) Pyrotechnics was awesome, music and all croward interaction is my favorite!!

I am from Spencer County, Indiana and there is absolutely nothing to do here. The Icemen definitely give us and the kids something to do and is worth the drive. There is nowhere in the stadium that is a bad seat. Obviously my kids, well we all love the fights, but it is a great time!!

We sat in the end zone and with the net expanded up so high, only the people on the sides were shot shirts to from the Icicle girls. What about us?

We were on the visitors side next to their box, 3rd row from ice ring and one of the iceman threw a punch to the mallards player right in front of us! How awesome, well, especially since he finally got up and wasn't hurt!!

Family went and had a wonderful time! In attendance was a former hockey player from Swonder, an extended family who had never been to a hockey game and two former bench warmers to the game! We had a blast, I would recommend to anyone! Great time by all! Seats were the pits, but got them to change them!

Great game. Good family time (except for the fighting, but that's hockey lol)! Can't wait to go again.

The venue is great. Evansville has it figured out with free parking, parking areas for handicapped and a nice clean facility. There isn't a bad seat in the house. Concession prices are cheaper than the movies and good and consistent. Our family always makes it a point to get to a game during the season.

Game was fun. Was not happy with view from our seats. Was blocked by hockey sticks. Think price should be a little less on bottom few rows. A lot of play area was blocked

Our family attended our first hockey game on December 26th. I was a little concerned that it wouldn't keep the attention of our 8yr old twins. I had no reason to worry! It kept their attention from start to finish! Great job Icemen!

The event was good,but the ford center sucks, no parking and the seats are way too close.

The Evansville Icemen are an excellent value. There are no bad seats and concessions are reasonable. No charge for parking adds to the value.

Though the Icemen didn't win, it's always a good show. I love watching the crowd's interaction.

The evansville icemen put on a great show! My 5&3 year old boys loved it! We were skeptical about the second row being too close for them with the players crashing into the glass and all but they loved it. And the ford center is a great venue. Clean and easy to park at. Will probably do it again at least once or twice a year for years to come.

Better than I expected. Very entertaining and a lot of fun. Definitely go back!!

My son and I had a good time at the game. This was the only event we could get tickets for. It's sad that there isn't more to do in this little town and I'm glad I moved away. The mentality of the people and the sportsmanship was horrible. The crowd was rude by yelling "you suck" to the other team, poor sportsmanship in my opinion. This sounded horrible coming from the kids especially. What a terrible thing to teach them to do. I've been to a lot of hockey games in San Antonio and have never heard such behavior. The mascot did not interact with the crowd. Overall, the experience was okay, but I don't encourage anyone to to take their kids.

Seats were right behind bench which impaired viewing, but we moved up to a higher seat. Based on attendance, we probably paid too much. But it was a fun time and entertaining.

We had 7 adults and 4 kids (ranging from 2-11) and we all had a blast! This is our first game of this season, but we'll definitely be back for more family fun!

We had a great evening! Bumped into the person that told us about the Icemen! Big fun for the whole family.

The seats were great! Venue has good view of arena no matter where you sit. The crowd was very energetic and the game was entertaining.

Loved watching my first live hockey game. Also my first visit to the Ford Ctr. It is huge and ushers kept the traffic moving during entrance and exits.

I enjoyed the game but was dissapointed in the lack of sportsmanship exhibited by Icemen fans. The constant yelling of "You suck!" was unfortunate. The fact that this conduct appears to be encouraged by stadium management was even more of a surprise. I have attended several professional sporting events of various venues, including hockey, none of which would have tollerated the cursing and conduct of what appeared to be a large group of fans.

As with all hockey games, there was a lot of excitement. The way they get the fans involved made it even more fun than just watching a hockey game. Can't wait to go again!

Am an Evansville area native but moved away more than 30 years ago. This was my first chance to see an event at the Ford Center. Like the building. Interesting to see hockey in Evansville. Fan base seems engaged and reasonably knowledgeable. Game was a typical ECHL event. I had been at the Fort Wayne at Indy game the night before, and it was a classic. This game wasn't quite as exciting but it was a good time overall.

As always, an amazing time! The Ford Center and the Icemen always put on a great production that draws ensuring that everyone from the seasoned veteran, to those with no hockey expirence before have a great time! Go Icemen!!

First time to a hockey game and I loved it.. looking for tickets already for another game!!!!

This is mostly about the venue.. the Ford Center... first time for me... and after hearing so many negative things, entered the Center in an optimist mode. The game was very good with the hometeam winning... my first hockey game ever, and enjoyed it! The crowd and atmosphere was very good...but! I am forced to agree with all the nay-sayers when it comes to the size of the place... they built it way too small! Couldn't believe it till I saw it!

The first hockey game -- and first large event -- in the new Ford Center in downtown Evansville was great. Parking was easy, lots of options for dinner beforehand or post-game festivities, and the arena itself is very impressive. I'd highly recommend the Icemen games -- and really anything else at the arena that is of interest. Parking for bigger events may sometimes be a little more complicated, but plan your options ahead of time and ideally go early (so you can park on the streets nearby or in the free parking behind the Civic Center a few blocks away), or just be ready to pay $4-5 for a parking garage.

We had a great time at the game.Too bad the the team is not playing next year. :(

We enjoyed the game and crowd enthusiasm but hated our seats. I would strongly encourage checking the seating chart before purchasing.

I took my family to see some great sports action on ice on new years eve. We all had a great time. What started off as $40 for my family of 4 for the tickets, was $80 after all the fees. I was so upset we almost didn't go. This is why our economy suffers. Great affordable family fun is hard to find. What starts out looking reasonable is really put a damper on by all these so cslled fees and extra charges. This is why we rarely go to shows, its ridiculous!

The indoor fireworks were fantastic. However, our particular seats were not worth what I paid for them. I was only able to see 1/2 if the event.

Took our three kids. My 5 y/o son had so much fun. He keeps talking about wanting to go again. This was our first hockey game experience. We all enjoyed it.

Evansville Icemen Hockey is family fun. They keep me coming back, even when they lose.

Great family fun. We have been to several games and havent been disappointed.

I took my son and two of his friends for my son's birthday. It was our first Hockey game and only my second time in the Ford Center. Overall great family time, tons of interaction with the kids. Better to sit a little higher up to see and better to not be on a goal end if you want a chance to catch a t-shirt.

My 2 friends and our children went to the Sunday Icemen game vs. Indy. It was our first ice hockey game. We absolutely loved it!!! The kids want to go back soon!!! One of the boys doesn't usually like sports but he went crazy over this sport.

All seats are great. I am buying season tickets next year.

It was very scripted. Lots of fans that were flipping off the other team. Lots of foul language. Just not my thing!

My daughter and I really enjoyed watching the Evansville Icemen hockey game. It was definitely a good family event. We liked how interactive it was, especially between periods. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with or without children that enjoys hockey, or any sport.

We purchased the buffet to take our grandkids to eat before the game. It was not a good experience. First we were sent to the upper level where the buffet was located than told to go down to the seating area. We showed our tickets to the usher and explained again that we were there for the buffet so he sent us back up to the buffet area. The food items on the buffett bar were not labeled so some of the items were questionable as to what they contained. The "burger" appeared to be a vegetable item and was not eatable. The stuffed crust item was so dried out the edges were to hard to eat. The chicken wings were good and the meat balls were good. Overall the buffet was a bust and not worth the money at half the price. The game was good especially since the Icemen won. However, the language of the fans and sometimes the announcer was not what we would what our grandkids to hear or experience as an example of good sportsmanship. There were a lot of contest and activities to entertain, but not a good atmosphere for young kids.

Had a great time in a very nice place for it. As with most dowtown stadiums parking can be an issue.

I bought these tickets as a gift. I bought midpriced tickets but we found ourse.lves seated behind the penalty box, having to watch the game with oiur necks craned toward the jumbotron because we couldn't see through multiple layers of scratched plexiglass, an announcer and the uprights. These seats had to be thes worst in the house. How embarrassing

My wife and I had an exceptional time at the Evansville Icemen game, and we fully intend on attending more events. The food was even good.

First hockey game ever and I had a blast. Our seats were great minus we couldn't see the far corner on our side but we had a clear view of the screen for those shots. It was cool seeing players getting trapped in the corner right next to us.

This was a wonderful event, we have purchased season tickets. Perfect for my 4 year old daughter and myself.

What a great game!!! What great food!!! What great fun!!! The atmosphere was great!!! The score was 4 to 2 Icemen!! Two fights, hard hitting action, an empty net goal, and caught on the kiss cam....and I even didn't know the girl.....I do now....lol!!! Get off your collective butts, get out to the Ford Center and get frosty with The Icemen....you will be freaking glad you did!!!

The team and the fans are a bunch of exciting people to be around and enjoy. The Icemen shutout their opponents! Yay! Go team go!

Great experience at the Icemen's last home game, as always!! Love the Zoopets. The Icemen are always fun to watch. Took a couple that had never been...they had a blast!! Sure to return!! Only thing I wish is that the refs weren't so uptight that night. Everybody likes to see a good fight on the ice, just saying!! Great experience as always though!! Keep up the good work!!

Had a great first experience in the new Ford Center. Game was fun. In between periods was entertaining. Our seats were also good. Good view of everything. Will definately attend more games next season!

Plenty of energy from the team and from the crowd. But the IceMen could not manage to take enough shots that challenged the K-Wings goaltender. A disappointing end to their home season, but they will be back & better next season. First years in a league are tough.

My family and I had a grat time at the game. The Ford Center is a great venue and the game was fun. This was great value especially compared to going to a NHL game.

Not only is there not a bad seat in the house, the Evansville IceMen are the best! Go IceMen!!!

The Icemen have been around for 5 seasons now. Although they have had only 1 winning season (win-loss regular season total) they are a lot of fun to watch. There is also the fans (Maniacs) who really make the atmosphere loads of fun. The interaction between the fans and the teams, music, announcers and themselves take it to another level. Especially when the Ft. Wayne Komets and their fans are in town. There is a downloadable "Cheers, Chants and Taunts" list available at www.icemenmaniacs.com if you would like to join in the fun. The Ford Center is also a great place to watch an Icemen game. Great video screen and sound system. I would recommend getting your seats at least half way up in the lower bowl. If you sit close to the glass, your view will be obstructed, especially around the player benches and penalty box. this can be said for any hockey arena. The entrance is only on one side of the building but has many doors. Exits are plentiful if you pay attention to signage and the users as you are leaving. Food and drink prices are reasonable and on par with the rest of the league. Parking is not a problem either. Huge lot behind the Civic Center, just a couple of blocks to walk. Handicap in front of the Civic Center right across the street from the Ford. $5 lots and garages scattered around the Ford Center and of course parking on the streets is free after normal business hours. I hope the Icemen stick around for a long time in Evansville. My family and I really enjoy it.

Buying tickets were very easy. I will only buy tickets only through ticket master. Seeing the evensville icemen was very exciting and thrilling!!! I loved all the chanting and of course the fighting. The game was family friendly and even had games with give a ways. I had a blast and recommend everyone to use Ticketmaster and to see the evensville icemen!
