The overall experince was good but so many people came late that we could not see the Whispers perform. I wish they were not the 1st to perform or that there was some other group on 1st. The people they had helping to seat people were not experienced enough,did not have flash lights and took to long to seat people. The lighting and audio people were also not experienced enough and it showed. Tina rocked the show out. She was the best and I loved it. Although I enjoyed Ron Isley, so many others did not. I say he was very good for his age. I was very upset when at 12:31am they turned the lights on and ended the show without him being able to say good nightor finish his set. That was so unbelieveable to me. I normally go to New York to see shows. This was my 1st time in Atlantic City to see a show and I must say I was not impressed. New York shows are much better. Not sure if I will make that trip again.

The Whispers were excellent! Lady "T" was awesome!! But Ron Isley was so disappointing it was embarrassing! His voice kept cracking and he seemed to be oblivious to the fact that many, many people started to leave almost as soon as he started to sing. The more he sang, the more people decided it was time to go. My husband and I thought that it was supposed to be Ron Isley and the Isley Bros. There were no brothers! But that would not have been an issue if Mr "Big" had actually sang well. He didn't!!! He sounded really bad. He was the "cold water on a hot show."

Ronald Isley's sound crew should be FIRED they had his music too loud and He sounded horrible. i left early. Teena Marie was the bombbbbbbbbbbb. The whispers were ok. I'll see Teena again. i wish i knew Ron Isley's performance was going to suck i could have left early.

The Whispers were good. Their show is the same as always; but, they sang their standards. Teena Marie was outstanding. She was truly the star of the show. Ron Isley was terrible. His voice is gone and his performance leaves a lot to the imagination.

I loved the fact that all three of my groups were together in a concert. However, I didn't like the fact that we had to wait for quite some time to get in the areana. Our seats didn't seem to be worth the $90.00 a piece plus tax we paid. The sound system was wonderful. WHERE WAS ERNIE ISLEY?????? That's what makes the Isley Brothers. He is the lead Guitarist. I was disappointed by that. All in all it was a great show. I love Teena Marie, she is my favorite, and as usual she did her thing. KUDOS TO TEENA AND THE WHISPERS FOR STILL HOLDING IT DOWN. Also it was certainly good to see Allison Williams again.

The Whispers were wonderful and they still sing just like the albums. Teena Marie was GREAT! She sang and danced and hit the notes like the songs were written yesterday. There were two problems with the show: first the venue location. Boardwalk Hall does not have a jumbo tron screen. I wasn't sitting that far but I was on the side. When people stand up to dance, everyone in that row can no longer see the stage. That was terrible. The biggest thing was Ron Isley. He was terrible. He was the last act and we left at the beginning of the third song. Maybe he should stick to recording in a studio because live is not a good look for him AT ALL.

Ronald Isley was not a good Match with the Whispers and Teena Marie. It would of been better to have had Frankie Beverly & Maze close the show. Teena Marie is still a sensation on Stage, her voice is still Golden and her recordings are no match for her real life performance. I love the Whispers and they got their groove on and were a good choice to open the show with.

Teena Marie was excellent..she rocked the house...I would see her in concert over and over and over again ...I was surprised that she didnt sing any songs from her new CD Congo Square but the old music was just as good ... Th Whispers got the party started ...but Ron Isley ...he got the raw end of the deal ...right in the middle of his performance they ended the show just when he was getting warmed up ...poor Ron he was so good too...well maybe he just sing before the Whispers then he will have more time to sing all he wants.....good show ..highly recommend to everyone 40 and over

I gave it an average rating. As much as I like the Whispers, as Scotty stated they can't do what they used to do and with Nick sitting on a chair, wow! What the hell was Ron Isley doing out on stage, I felt sorry for him. He needs to tighten up his act. He was definitely "Dreamin' on a Memory". He's done. All of the acts' bands were strong but it was a little loud.

First of all Tina Marie should have come on last. She had the crowd partying. The Whispers were great. But by the time Ron Isley sang his third song, people were starting to leave. And what's up with the hoochies in Ron's show? Nobody wants to see all that people just want to hear some good music. Also the show was billed as the Isley Brothers so where were the brothers?

The Whispers performed very well and Tina Marie took the show. However, Ron Isley did not do so well and we did not see the Isley brothers performing in the band. I realize this is his first concert in 2 1/2 years, but he was unable to hit the high notes that have never been a problem in the past. It was 11:30 p.m. when he came on stage and he was putting a lot of folks to sleep with his music. He should have been the first act instead of the last. In addition, the sound system was very poor and Tina had to actually stop singing and complain about the sound. While Ron was singing, there were sound problems. The seating is too cramped and this venue is not conducive to concerts. There were no screens for the audience to see those on stage, if they were seated far away. This is the first time I have been to the Boardwalk Hall and it will be my last.

I enjoyed the show however I felt robbed because Ron timeof his perrformance wascut short with no respect to him or his fans. I brought 6 ticketsand my family wanted to mainly see him. I felt bad for him because his name was advertised greatly but he wasn't allowed to perform long. The boadwalk center made alot of profits from hisfans and we didn't get our money worth.

The show itself was good, however, due to not having a good seat, I could not stay past seeing the Whispers. I was not able the navigate the many steps neccessary to clmb to reach my seat, so I left early. This was unfortunate due tor the 65$ paid to see Tina Marie.

Whispers were outstanding as usual. Teena Marie played way too long, probably filling time so they could get Isley straight or sober..Show started at 8 and it was after 11:30 before Isley's even came on stage. When they finally appeared, sound was awful and Isley couldn't even sing his own song "Who's That Lady". Mumbled through the words as if he didn;t know them Band was so loud, and couldn't hear second guitarist on solos as if it wasn't plugged in. Left the show, along with hundreds of others into second song. Pretty pitiful to have to wait 3.5 hours only to see and hear someone who should hang it up.....

The performers tried to work with what they had but the sound system was poor and there was no big screen in the hall to make the performers easily viewable for the audience. The place was not very professional and the intermissions were too long, especially bothersome for those who have a long drive afterwards. On a positive note, the performances were good.

I rated this show 5 stars simply because of Lady T and The Whispers. I was HIGHLY disappointed by Ron Isley. Upset because the show was billed as Ron Isley AND The Isley Brothers. No Brothers, just Ron and he was horrible. Sorry, Ron...but I speak the truth. Why was he singing Caravan of Love without the Isley Brothers anyway? We left during his second song as well as many many other people. By the way...check your event posting above...it's TEENA not Tina.

I had very high expectations, as a long time Isley Brothers fan, going into Saturday night's event. Those expectations were quickly extinguished. The show was horrendous. The Brother's Isley should have never taken the stage as Ron's pathetic attempt to sing was nothing less than very embarrassing. How they felt it was okay to get paid for that gig is way beyond me. Quite frankly, anybody that had purchased a ticket for last Saturday's non-event should be entitled to a full refund.

The Isley Brothers came on the stage 30 mins. after start time. I guess it was okay because my favorite MC-MC Lightfoot was outrageous!! He came on the stage at 8 p.m. He was very different at this venue in Cobb County (Mable House) than Fulton County (Eastpoint-Wolf Creek). He was not using profanity at all. Wow!! Different rules I guess. It's not that I use that language everyday, it's just different to hear him not using his favorite words (lol). If you are a die hard fan of the Isley Brothers, this was your show. I'm sure in their hey dey, they were magnificent with energy. Ronald had to sit down most of the concert due to age and health issues, however, the voice was still intact. His brother played the guitar consistently throughout the concert with few breaks/intermissions. I was thrilled to witness this iconic group that I have listened throughout the years. I was disappointed that a few songs were not played, but oh well. I thought the concert was okay. It was definitely for diehard fans only.

I attended the Isley Brothers show on 7/14/18. The show was nice, but you should install big screens on the upper portion of the stage, left and right. Folks who are sitting on the lower portion of the lawn can't see the performers once the "seated" people stand up.

This was our first outdoor concert. We thoroughly enjoyed our table seats, the venue was easy to find in a good location. The atmosphere was friendly. We will DEFINITELY do this again!!!

Ronald, along with his brother Ernie are truly one of musics icons. With a string of hits dating back to the 50 s the group, now duo has truly stood the test of time. Ronald proved after all this time he can still bring an audience to their feet. And as you watch younger brother Ernie s showmanship by playing his Guitars with his mouth, and through his legs you know he is something special. The band, back up singers, and dancers made this concert well worth the money spent. Highly recommended.

I have always loved the Isley Brothers music, and this evening was awesome. The venue size was such that you were in an intimate room, but not small. I expected Ronald to sound like he does on his recordings, and that was not the case. And he was great. I liked that his backup singers were family. For as long as I can remember I've loved Ronald's voice. Attending this live concert showed me that the brother on Guitar is an unsung hero. He played the Sugar Honey Ice Tea out of that guitar. It was loud and FREAKING AWESOME. I could have listened all night. I am not a church-going, but I like some church songs, I thought they could not have sung the Jesus song. A friend of mine, who attended thought that the church songs was a long time coming.

Pacific Amphitheatre at Orange County Fair is a nice venue. Commodores are master showmen and Entertainers. Isley Brothers are unbelievable. The music brought back so many memories

I loved the entire concert. The Band and singers were down to earth, "sound like birds", and professional. The singing was wonderful. I was introduced to the Isley Brothers 3+3 at an early age. There music always had a message and not to mentions Ronald's distinctive voice and Ernie's awesome guitar solos. I loved the show.

My wife and I went to this show and had a very good time. Ron started off pitchy, but he pulled it together and performed all the hits from Footsteps in the Dark to Groove with You and Between the Sheets, to the Solid Gold Oldies like Shout, Twist and Shout (Shake it up baby) and It's Your Thing. He even did a medley of his "Mr. Biggs" hits. At 75 years old, I was more than impressed. His brother Ernie is a stud on the guitar and really showed off his skills throughout the concert.

Ron Isley proves that age is just a number with another incredible performance.The 76 year old musical icon along with his brother, legendary guitarist Ernie Isley gave their fans an amazing concert long to be remembered by all in attendence.I was so glad to have been a part of this history seeing the group at this point in time after a long successful career going as far back as 1959.Ron is still hitting the high notes with an impeccable falsetto.And Ernie just wailing on those lead guitar licks accompanied by his funky rhythm and beauftiful ballad progressions. They are truly among the best that ever did it. What an inspiration to hear all of their greatest hits performed with such perfection.Ron also had his wife sing a tribute to Whitney Houston with "Jesus Loves me" and featured his background singers and dancers all night for glorious show.

There were some unexpected surprises...like Jeffrey Osborne. In my opinion, he stole the show. What I liked best was how personable he was with the audience. Not to mention his voice still sounds amazing and he's in good shape. Dru Hill opened up the show and they did an excellent job! I was definitely up dancing when they were performing. The worse performer of the night was Mint Condition. I couldn't recognize any of the songs they were singing because they didn't sound the same. I and the rest of the audience were quite bored. Morris Day and the Isley Brothers were a treat too. It was a great way to bring in the New Year with my Sweetie. I would attend another Old School event and recommend it to others. Remember artists, people go to an Old School event because we want to hear and sing along to the songs we remembered from way back. Please don't take this opportunity to introduce the re-mix version because we don't want to hear that. Sing it like you sang it when the album was released and we'll all have a great time.

BUT that had no affect on her performance or my enjoyment -- though i wish she'd chosen a sexier fabric to complement her amazing body! considering her health issues of the past, i was relieved to hear that her health is still great! Lead singer (Ron) hopefully, isn't touring for the money - because he needs to live off his 50 years of royalties. On the 25% of the songs that he lent his voice to, his inability to hit the notes, and the struggle that it was to power through the 2 hour concert, made it difficult to sit through. His brother still has it on guitar - sounded great! It should have been called "Isley Brothers and Friends (Family)". I almost regret buying tickets to this show...
