Disney's Beauty and the Beast

The show was magical. Perfectly cast and perfectly written. Loved iit.

Great show with strong talent. Only thing lacking somewhat was the sound quality at the Chrysler Hall in Norfolk. Sitting only three rows from the stage I should have had no issues hearing speaking and singing voices clearly but were sometimes muted sounding. Great costumes and and overall very good experience. Had a number of parents bring children too young to sit still and be quiet throughout the performance which is a parenting issue. A shame that clueless parents are too irresponsible to know their children's loud voices and screams disrupt the show for all who paid a hefty price to get in the door.

I have been a huge Beauty and the Beast fan all my life and I've never been so disappointed in a theater adaptation of a movie. I thought that the casting was wrong. Belle sounded sarcastic and lacked the feminine softness throughout the entire play. I also thought there were a lot of hidden adult jokes and gestures for being a family friendly atmosphere. I could go on and on about what I didn't like about they night but the bottom line is that I would not recommend this to anyone.

After living in Chicago and San Fransisco and seeing shows regularly there, I did not have high expectations for a production in Bakersfield CA. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of show that was presented! The actors were fantastic, the music was spot on, even the sound was good. The only possible complaint I could have is that Rabobank is not really set up for this, and our balcony seats were like watching a flea circus, so get your tickets early so you can be on the floor.

Thought that since we were close we were getting great seats, but we were so far to stage left we missed much on the left side of the stage. I would avoid anything in Section F for another travelling production. Beauty and the Beast was wonderful though.

We were so disappointed in the Beauty and the Beast musical at the Adler Theater in Davenport, IA. We could hear the full chorus numbers, but the actors' lines and solos were too soft and muffled. For the price that we paid for the tickets, I was so unsatisfied. I will not attend another event at this venue unless I can be reassured that this problem would not exist.

the only thing was when you have something that t is going draw in children, the intermission needs to be a little longer then 20 minuets. other then that it was great and keep the attention of the kids really well. it was funny and well done.

The show was great. Costumes, sets, and actors were top notch. Sound quality could have been better.

This was fantastic. My only reason for giving a 4 instead of a 5 star is in Evansville I sat in the top balcony and it was very hard to hear. If they could have turned the microphones up just a little more it would have been a 5 out of 5 for sure! Great actors and backdrops :) Definitely recommend for any age!

My wife and I took our 12 and 8 year old daughters to Beauty and the Beast and we all really enjoyed it. Our girls were amazed at the costumes and singing from beginning to end. We would gladly go again.

Got my wife these tickets for her birthday and what an amazing performance. I grew up doing plays and musicals and this performance brought me back to being a performer. Everything about it was amazing. You can always count on Disney to provide spectacular productions. Just like the movie with songs added on. The cast was perfect and the show was very funny. Costumes and props were very well done and the music was beyond amazing. Will definitely be going to another Disney performance.

The actors were spot on what the movie was. The music was great. Great family time. Costumes, and sets were amazing.

That cast was incredible, the songs fantastic. Our only complaint is that the seats on the floor level were incredibly uncomfortable.

This was my first time seeing this show, and it was absolutely stunning! I knew the story (of course) and most of the songs, but seeing it performed was fantastic. Props to all of the actors, but best of all was Cameron Bond as Gaston. Brilliant! It was so much fun. I hope more Disney plays make their way to our little arena. :)

Great show, well done. Gaston and Lumiere stole the show!. A few too many extra (unknown) songs.

Good show, My teenage daughters really enjoyed it.

This has been one of my favorite Broadway shows I've seen (only behind The Lion King)! If you are a fan of the movie you will love it - they basically adapted the movie for the stage and added new songs to freshen it up. It was a really fun night!

Great job of interjecting humor throughout a musical filled with heart-warming moments. Gaston and Lefou provide great comic relief. Hadn't seen the Disney movie in quite some time, but the musical was even better than I remember the story being. It has something everyone in the family can enjoy.

Although I did enjoy the show and my boyfriend was completely enthralled. I was left a little cold at the end and perhaps a bit disappointed. I have loved Beauty and the Beast since I was a child, the story to me is timeless and very touching. I just did not appreciate what Disney did to it on Broadway. I think what made it bad for me was that they made the Beast this humorous creature. Honestly the way he was played was almost laughable. It made me almost resent the play. I expected him to be dark, tortured perhaps sarcastic, humorous was not what i expected. If your going just to see the play and have no expectations you will love this play its light and fun and a great play for the kids. But if your a die hard fan of the movie expect to be a bit sad over seeing what Disney has done to your beloved story.

The production was delightful-costumes were delightful; music was beautiful; actors were superb. Everything about this performance was Enchanting. The venue was, as always, comfortable. The staff was helpful and hospitable. The actors delivered a fantastic rendition of the play, and the orchestra was "right on beat". There was a magical spell cast over Chrysler during the Sunday matinee.

From the moment the orchestra played it's first note we were enchanted. The cast, set design and music truly made this fairy tale come to life for us...it was a magical experience!

We really enjoyed ourselves. Disney puts out such a wonderful play.

This show was amazing!!!! I would recomend it to anyone young and old at heart. I believe i'ts a bit long for small children, but I would take an older 4 yearold anytime. This is a must see!!!!

What a wonderful display of talent and beauty! I enjoyed this show even more than I thought I would. As a little girl I enjoyed the movie, but it wasn't my all time favorite. This spectical has moved the story up on my list of Disney movies. Bell and the cast were stunning and most of all I enjoyed the colorful display of set design and costumes. Highly recommend to children of all ages! Would definitely see it again :)

great performance and great show overall! would have liked the intermission to be sooner than when it was with a child that needed to go to the bathroom.

Beautiful production, excellent cast. Overall fabulous experience that occasionally brought tears to my eyes despite being an almost carbon copy of the film I've seen at least 100 times! My only complaint was that by being in the balcony (which I prefer because I feel i can get a better overall view of everything going on) sometimes the Beast's head wasn't visibly when he was on top of the breakaway staircase. Perhaps changing the top part of the scenery where he wasn't hidden by vines would have helped. Regardless, can't wait to see it again!

This was a wonderful show. I really enjoyed it. If you have children it would be something that they would also enjoy, but as a adult I love it too!

I would have to say the show was perfect. i was only disapointed that they were not selling posters for the show. i have been going to broadway shows both on and off broadway for about 17 years. and i have a poster from each and every single one. (this is not my first time seeing "Beast") and i am sad to say, i do not have a poster for the 2011 tour. only the orginal. Oh well. But again the show was perfect.

Absolutely loved this musical. Gaston and Lefou really stole the show with their overblown antics and were hilarious. Belle and the Beast were also superb, and I just wonder how much of the Beast's reactions were made up on the spot. Either way, it was touching and totally captivating.

The show itself was wonderful! Great performances by everyone involved! But.......the 2 year old sitting behind us pretty much ruined our enjoyment of it. She talked and cried, she jumped on the back of our seats, she was in motion and noisy for the entire time. Parents- if you know your child won't be able to sit through an evening musical, please get a sitter! (There were many other children in attendance who were fine, so I know that this doesn't apply to most people!)

This is a timeless play that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike for decades to come.

I have seen Beauty and the Beast multiple times. I felt bad for people that have never seen it because it was very hard to hear. The performers did a great job, you could hear them when they sang but as far as the speaking parts the sound system was poor. The theater was very warm. I was sweating sitting in my seat so I am sure the people in costumes were wringing wet. I had season tickets last year with seats in the balcony & never had a problem hearing what was being said on stage, this performance I couldn't hear. I am not sure if it was the theater sound system or the broad way play. People left early because they were too hot and others couldn't hear.

Great show! We really enjoyed it! A must see for any age!

Very good one of my favorite plays thus far. I just wished it started on time. My favorite part was the be our guest. I like how they did the costumes the salt and pepper were adorable. i just wished it would have started on time.

The show was amazing, I love that there were songs in the show that weren't in the movie. I also loved how comical they made the characters, the Beast was great.

The show was unbelievable!!! The costumes were beautiful. The backdrops were great. And the singing and acting was even better. I was so into the show that time flew by. My favorite character was Lafloue, whenever he would come on stage I would also smile.

Took my 4 year old as a surprise...she loved it, but I think I loved it more :) very true to the Disney movie, they added a few more songs. We loved it, my daughter asked to go back and see it again the next day.

We really enjoyed the Beauty and the Beast performance! We wondered how they would accomplish a couple of the scenes on-stage, but it was done flawlessly!

The show was AMAZING!!! We took our 5 year old daughter and she loved it. Would love to see it again! We love going to shows at the Coronado...small but not a bad seat in the house, but on this night someone must've forgot to turn the heat down...or off for that matter. It had to be 90 degrees up where we were sitting in the top balcony. Everyone was sweating and using their programs as fans.

Absolutely loved the show, props, and music. An unforgetable performance!

This was such a fun show to see. I highly recommend to anyone who has the chance to go! I hadn't watched the movie before but I will be now to see how closely it follows. You don't need to be a fan of the movie to love this musical........

great for the most part, the first act just felt long, and there were 2 or so songs that just seemed unnecessary/boring, forced me to get a coke at intermission to stay awake. Not sure I needed it though, 2nd act was great.

This play was amazing. They did a great job following the movie, but also adapting some new ideas and songs into the play. I have seen the movie many times with my daughter, but I still felt the magic of the story. My children can't stop talking about it, and want to go again. They are 5 &7 yr old girls, and a 10 yr old boy.

What a spectacular show! Even my 4 year old grandson was enthralled form beginning to end. Very realistic, he jumped into my lap the first time we saw the wolves and the Beast.

This is the second time seeing Beauty and the Beast. It was excellent this time as it was the first time I saw it. What a treat to have this production come to Bismarck. The acting and music were very enjoyable. The set was amazing as were the costumes and props.

This was better than I expected. This was the third production I saw of B&B. The sound quality was so good, I thought they were lip-syncing. Very good!

It was a fantastic show. I loved it! My Wife loved it! Any fan of the film should see this play. It does the film justice, and then some!

This was so beautiful to see live. Adults and children alike had a blast.

I took my seventeen year old daughter to this show and we both loved it. She talked about it all weekend. The characters were delightful.

Entertaining for our entire family, the youngest child being 11and the oldest 23. Laughs were had by all. Portrayed the story wonderfully. Great performers.

The choreography was wonderful for several of the sets; ordinary with others. The voices were wonderful. Loved it!

It was riveting from start to finish. Very nice blend of comedy, music, and dancing.

Best musical since Wicked at Chrysler Hall. The cast really brought out the personalities of the characters. Vocals were amazing, costumes beautiful and loved the detail. As the scenes were changed I loved how the "stage hands" were part of the decor for the sets. I would see this show again or any other by this company.

It wasn't the Lion King on Broadway but was awesome in it's own right. I am a Disney fan and Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorites. I loved how they made the dishes come to life. I also thought it was really cool how the scenery was changed and moved around during the performance. The only thing I would change is the costume for Belle's father. He looked more like a clown than a father. Oh, and the rose wasn't what it was like in the movie. I wish it could have been better designed to loose a petal. From my view, I couldn't see it.

The play was absolutely beautiful, no other words could describe it. My daughter and I truly enjoyed it and we had the best seats. There is not a bad seat at Chrysler Hall, but we did sit on the floor section - orchestra. The colors, the actors and everything about the play was incredible. It was worth every penny.

I would recommend all ages to see this play; from the scenery to the costumes to the signing and dancing, it was first rate!

This was a BEAUTIFUL and totally AMAZING show. I was so awe struck from the beginning to the end. I viewed it with the eyes of someone that has performed in community musical theater. And was so amazed with all the dances and special effects. I took a friends youngest granddaughter with me for her 9th birthday. The amazement in her eyes and the laughter and even a tear. That alone made it doubly enjoyable to see it also in her eyes. It was her first Broadway caliber stage musical. Thank-you very much to all the actors and actresses and stage crew and technicians.

I was skeptical that this was going to be a good show since it was a children's show. The artist were top notch! Production was fantastic. I would go see it again it was so worth every penny.

It was very good. Brought back the memories of seeing the animated version back when i was a kid. It was great. Plus our seats were very good.

The show was very enjoyable, but didn't like the "sexiness" portrayal of the girls with Gaston and the giving drinking of beer a high spot when this is geared as a children's show.

Beauty and the Beast was awesome. My daughter loved it. She has it ranked right behind 'Wicked' as a must see. Great family event.

Beauty and the Beast was AWESOME! The singing was lovely and the dancing was awe inspiring! The whole family enjoyed it my 2 girls 14 & 18 and even my husband liked it.Our favorite parts were "Gaston" & "Be our Guest" We all have the songs stuck in our heads. We were all singing in the car on the way home!!!! We LOVED IT!

I have seen several events at Chrysler and this along with "Wicked" and "Lion King" have been the best so far. My friends and I had a wonderful time!!!

The preformance was typical Disney. Spectacular costumes and set design. Exceptional performers. The part of Beauty was exceptional with a beautiful voice and acting skills. The performance was total enjoyment from begining to end. My daughter and granddaughter came up from North Carolina and both of them enjoyed it. My six year old granddaughter was spell bound until the very end.

Great talent!!!!!!!! The performances were right on. Our favorite was Gaston. The scenery changes were amazing as well. They captured the story even better than the video:)

I honestly didn't expect much. I thought it was going to be mainly geared toward children. Boy, was I wrong. To start with, the scenery was so creative, I couldn't stop looking at it! The talent was superb and the choreography was first class. Loved the bar dance with the cups and "Be Our Guest" was thoroughly entertaining. Truely loved it!

My 15 year odl granddaughter saw this play together and we both loved it. It was like taking a step back to a child-like fairyland! Music costumes/ play - loved it all!

I seen Beauty & The Beast at Disney World & now in the theater. It was amazing at Disney & I liked the Theater Performance, however, it tended to drag. The best performance I've seen at Theater was the Lion King. I would go back to that time & time again, however, I'm glad I went to see Beauty & The Beast but it's not one that I'd go back to time & time again.

Absolutely wonderful. Singing, choreography beautiful. Loved the dance with the clanging tankards and "Be Our Guest" was perfect.

First of all, this was a Disney show, so I should have known better. I tried to make a good impression with my fiancé who had never been to a play, musical, or other theatrical experience. So when I read the disclaimer Not intended for children under age 5, I figured everyone else who ordered tickets would read and obey such a condition. I was wrong. 35-40% of the audience was made up of children under age 5. Most of them were well behaved, dressed as Belle, and generally not a nuisance, which I found a welcome surprise. The show started on time, but right from the beginning it was apparent there was something wrong. The sound was off, is as best as I can describe it, something just wasn t quite right about its timing, quality, etc. The stage lighting was very dim, the backdrops were very dim, the actors weren t spotlighted correctly, and the performance was halted barely 5 minutes in with a message to the audience that the show would be continued shortly due to a power failure backstage. 10 minutes later the performance resumed but it was obvious they were still having technical difficulties. When the intermission came after 9:30pm, my fiancé and I left Elliott Hall and did not return. The entire experience felt like we had attended a poorly prepared high school musical dress rehearsal. It was a big disappointment.

My daughter and I enjoyed the show today/Saturday at 2pm. Music was great, cast was great, and even the audience was great. There were a few laughing moments. As my daughter and I left the Chrysler Hall and headed toward parking lot, I heard a little girl behind us tell/ask her dad, can we go again? Bottom line: enjoyed it and recommended for any/all ages! Was a very enjoyably play for all ages. Our 6 year old really enjoyed it.

To be very brief.... i took my daughter whom is only 3 1/2 years old, and she said she liked it but that i could go with daddy next time because it was too long. Basically, this show lacked changing backgrounds/ interesting scenery, and colorful effects that children would like...well, adults would too. My daughter knows most disney shows/movies at her young age.... she has gone to see many "long" theater productions since she was 2 years old, and as i could tell and by her comments, this was her least favorite. Her favorite being wizard of oz. All in all, decent for adults, but not so great for the younger princesses.

The seats, the stage, the orchestra, props and costumes all made this an amazing experience. Top of the line performances. I am not sure who loved it more, my fiancee or myself.

Pros: Entertaining throughout the production; Creative in presentation--ornate props, dazzling outfits, and great use of lighting; No scene was drawn out or uncomfortably lengthy Cons: (I've sat for five minutes thinking about this, and I couldn't think of one. I'm not trying to be overly positive, but really, this production was a success.) Best actors/singers (obviously, just my opinion): Le Fou, Gaston

I grew up with Disney Movies so I just had to go to see Disney's Beauty and the Beast. It was everything I thought it would be.

Great performance, nice place to see a show with good acoustics.
