Didn't know what to expect, all I knew was that I loved RATM, but this collaboration was SO MUCH FUN. Tiny club, lots of jumping and singing. Crazy quality show from everyone involved.
To see Prophets of Rage at an amazing venue like The Stone Pony was unforgettable!!! I love when big bands with such an intense vibe play to a small crowd. The energy was crazy!! I was a little skeptical at first but B Real and Chuck D were great on the Mic. Tom Morello as always shredded guitar and totally ran the band! I know they will be around for a long time to come!
Absolutely AMAZING concert !! Rage: Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk - Killed IT !! DJ Lord - absolutely solid Chuck D - The Rhyme Animal, The Incredible D !!!!!!!! B-Real is a Rock Superstar !!! There are not enough words to express how fantastic this show is. Go see it and experience it for yourself !!!
I wasn't sure these greybeards (self included) could still bring the energy and passion, but they pretty much sounded like they did back in the early 2000's. There was no confusing this with the Zach-led force of rage, but it was still just what the doctor ordered! The pit was bangin' and chaos ensued, if only for 90 minutes on a Friday night. The DJ was slow to find his groove, but he finally did. Chuck D was a little out of sync at times, but he settled in. B Real sounded pretty awesome, but I wish they'd let him do full Cypress Hill songs instead of a medley. The RATM tracks (pretty much everything you'd want to hear) were flawless. I was sucking air and soaked in sweat after the first song. It's been 3 days and my body is sore all over. Success!!
Such a great show. Rage, as always, sounded amazing. Longtime PE fan, so thrilled to see Chuck D is the mix, knew he'd deliver. A fan of Cypress Hill, but a little less familiar with the music--was COMPLETELY blown away by how well B-Real rocked it! Highly rec people see this show.
I was able to see RATM when I was vacationing in Europe in the summer of 2000. It was one of the better shows I have ever seen and was a very memorable night. I was a little anxious about how the Prophets of Rage show would be given the absence of Zach De La Rocha, but B-Real and Chuck-D did more than enough to make this a recommendable band. The original three members of RATM sounded fantastic. Tom Morello had a commanding stage presence, as well. The setlist pulled pulled from different eras of RATM and even Public Enemy and Cypress Hill. There was even a cover of No Sleep til Brooklyn. The only complaint I had about the show was its length. The show was 17 songs long (including a medley of about 6 songs PE and Cypress Hill songs), but it felt like it could have been longer. Bottom line is that they left me wanting more. That's a sign of a fun night.
All in all this was a really good show. I didn't like waiting in line to get tickets since they were "will call" only for a sold out show. The security was, understandably, tighter because of the RNC down the street and the political nature of the band, so that slowed things down too. Those are about the only things I can complain about, though.

I liked it and had a good time. Have always been a Rage fan, but never got to see them so I went to this. Chuck D is great doing the singing and they should just stick with him. The guy from Cypress Hill mangled most of the Rage songs he attempted and frankly doesn't appear to be able to keep time with the band behind him. There should be a rule: if you can't count to four, you can't go on the tour... Was good and enjoyed it, but would have been much better minus the Cypress Hill dodo.

The show was simply fantastic. The crowd was absolutely amped up and jumping around. It was hot as could be and everybody was just a mess of sweat. Yet through it all, every single person I've encountered was really cool. As for the band, not sure it's much better than what we saw. They were simply fantastic.

Wakrat opened with a set twice as long as it should of been....3 good songs and 3 that should never be played again. Then Awolnation came on and kicked ass as usual. They are so ready to be the headliner. First time seeing Prophets of Rage and was not expecting too much. They were really tight. The talent on stage kept me engaged even though I only knew about half of the set list. I have been a fan of Cypress hill for many years and knew some Rage songs but that was it. I would see this band again next time they came to town...it was a really good show!

We're not the demographic for this event, but have been attending shows for 50 years now. Venue was excellent, parking escape wonderful. Only heard end of first band telling us they didn't give a fuck. AWOLNation was surprisingly good. POR was everything I wanted it to be. The opening DJ set was really fun. Politically, I share the band's rage at where our nation is today. All in all, a memorable experience. Oh, and we drove from Santa Barbara to see, so we were clearly motivated.

A great mix of new songs and classics from Cypress Hill, Public Enemy and Rage Against the Machine (as well as a few others such as Audioslave). The sound was a bit lacking and the hassle with last minute security changes (no blankets or drinks for lawn seats, as per the website!) earned this concert a 4 star review instead of 5 star.

Unfortunatley I never got to see RAtM, and Audio Slave was very diappoiinting when they did RAtM songs. PoR is as close as you're going to get to seeing Rage Against the Machine. 3 original members and 2 excellent front men did a great job and a great setlist. Almost 2 full hours of non-stop, no BS, hard core Rock & Roll, outstanding! Go see PoR, you won't be disappointed.

I have seen Rage Against the Machine in the 90s and more recently, and I've seen Tom Morello in other bands such as Audio Slave, but I must say that the supergroup of Tom Morello, Chuck D, and B-Real are a mighty combination! Being able to hear songs from Public Enemy, Cypress Hill, Rage Against the Machine, and new songs from Prophets of Rage made this concert a true mutligenre experience. And then to have none other than Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters jam with the boys for a song was the cherry on top of a rockin' sundae. I was so thrilled by the show that I bought a ticket to see Prophets of Rage in San Diego...Rock on!
The performance was great!! the energy was awesome! The sound quality was horrible!! We has seats high up in the venue and the sound was horrible, it was hard to make out the lyrics.
If you haven't seen Rage with Zack.. this was almost as good. Best thing is the cross over songs from all 3 former groups Rage,Cypress Hill and Public Enemy.
OH MY GOD!!! Hands down, Prophets tore it up! The brought the power, they brought the heat! It was truly an amazing show! The crowd was wild and they really played for the people. They have amazing energy! Awolnation was AMAZING too! They had electric energy! Wakrat was sick too! The presagie is worth attending, so get there early!
The Prophets of Rage show in Tampa was great. The band churned out hits from Rage, Public Enemy and Cypress hill plus some covers. Tom Morello was amazing and the show had great energy!
Don't rush for opening act, absolutely horrible, the music itself had promise, but the lyrics are useless and distracting. Lead Singer/Bass player is talented player and does great with Prophets of Rage, but needs to give up on the song writing. AWOLNATION was entertaining. I didn't really know all the songs as I've only heard the radio play releases, but they did great getting the crowd involved and got everyone pumped up for the main event. For the big show, SPECTACULAR!! When I originally heard the lineup, I had concern B-Real was the weak link. Even though like Cypress Hill, I had a preconceived notion that he was going to be kind of just a filler person...MAN WAS I WRONG. He was incredible!!! He made the show for sure. All the guys were great, but he was the standout for sure. If you have a chance, don't miss this show.
LOUD, and powerful. Prophets of Rage have the right politics, from the Left. Also, Awolnation, with them, rocked. Tom Morello and Chuck D for co-president!! Fight the Power........
I was in Section 101 Row AA seats 1 and 2. My husband could not make the show so I had the two seats to myself. They were perfect and it took 30 years to get to the front of Shoreline in Mountain View. All three bands were great. The sound quality was brilliant. I had a great view. What I didn't have was respect from men passive-aggressively attempting to invite themselves to sit in the second seat or stand in front of it with a "do you mind" .... What is a woman by herself at a show that is by its very nature all inclusive to do, say " Yeah I mind, it took me 30 years to get here"? No of course not, it would be contrary to the vibe of the show. Nevertheless it went on and on that way and was a distraction. Half way into the show I gave up on the encroachment and went out into the concession area to watch the show on the screens instead.
Seriously one of the most incredible concerts I have ever been to. It was electric. You could feel the energy of the fans and the love that this group has for their music and our country. A portion of proceeds from each concert go to a local charity or shelter in that city. Just wished they had played an encore.

Prophets of Rage was a great high energy show and the members from all 3 bands (RATM, Public Enemy & Cypress Hill) were en point and musically tight - especially Tom Morello, who is truly an underrated guitarist who hadn't stood out to me as much in RATM with Zack fronting, but whom I now garner new respect. My one concern was seeing a band like this without the incendiary, politically fueled and emotional vocals of Zack de la Rocha who brings it every time at a RATM show. I was afraid the songs would sound thin without him but fortunately, they did not. Chuck D brings his own style, no doubt, although he lacked Zack's spot on timing spitting a verse. B-Real from Cypress Hill brought some life to Zack's lyrics with his own very distinct voice and clearly showed much respect, not only thanking Zack for his words and music but just by virtue of learning the entire RATM catalogue which was impressive in and of itself. Imitation is the highest form of flattery. Still, I am and always will be a Rage fan and Zack was greatly missed in this show. Prophets of Rage made it clear they would welcome him onstage any time and the way the band is set up, there is room at the table. It would be a far more interesting show with his presence.

I'll say it straight up. This is the best show I've ever been to. Being a fan of all three bands that the Prophets stem from, this was a 'supergroup' that I could really get on board with. Hearing rock interpretations of Public Enemy tracks or Chuck D or BReal's vocals on top of Sleep Now In The Fire? Incredible. And the show 100% lived up to the hype. It is probably the first time I've been able to satisfy my desire for heavy guitars and fat beats at the same time. I was a fan of Tom Morello before seeing him live and I am even more so after watching him squeeze the sounds he did out of his guitar. Chuck D & BReal are an incredibly potent vocal combo. Brad Wilk and Tim Cummerford create a pounding backbone. And DJ Lord proved with both his intro set at the start of the show and his mixing throughout that he is the real deal. Oh yeah, and then DAVE GROHL!? This show satisfied me on every level and the memory of it will stick with me for a long, long time. I'm still feeling a bit of its afterglow.

RAtM - ZDlR + Chuck D + B Real = #win Great show. Performances were spot on and came from the catalogs of all three prior bands, as well as a few combo/crossover/mashup type tracks (Fight the Power with No Sleep Til Brooklyn as the backing track). Every musician was clearly loving being on stage and playing together and the crowd ate it up. Always fantastic to see live musicians who are talented, enjoying their work and performing at their peak (TomM was on fire, and looks as polished as ever). The opener, AWOLNAtion was terrible, so they only get one line. GA admission seats were upgraded to seats under the roof, which was an add'l bonus.

The Stone Pony was sold out and no where to move. Somehow a pit developed within seconds of the the first song and continued throughout every minute of every song. They were great. This was an amazing show from beginning to end! You can't go wrong with Prophets of Rage and Audioslave but this show was so much more than that. Not just the additional line ups, acts and readings but the message. What an important and strong message to ALL. If you see injustice, fight back. I was extremely lucky to have gotten tickets to this show since there was only 13 mins notice and about 150-200 to sell. I also live in NV but happened to be in southern CA the weekend of this show which was perfect. The price was AMAZING ($25) and the all was donated to a women's charity -what better message to send at an anti-inaugural ball than that?! It's about the people, not profit. I saw Prophets of Rage in October and was hooked at the first note. I had heard the handful of songs that had been put out before that and was excited and happy about music again. If you have a change to them DO IT! The room was very small, standing room only. I was 3 rows back (until moshing put be back about 6 rows) but the view and sound was killer. I'm not sure there was a bad spot to be except for shorter people (which I am). I had let several people know my husband had a disability and where could he go if he needed to sit. I'm not sure if I was the 1st person to ever ask that but after several people and minuets I was given a folding chair that was put against a wall for him if needed. While he didn't end up using it (he had a cane with him) it was great to know we had a plan and they assisted. There were a few bars and the food people were eating looked like it was delicious. Over all if I were in that area again and a great band came up playing there I'd go back.

The show was amazing. Wakrat opened, and they were fine. Followed by AWOL Nation which really blew my perception of them out of the water (in a good way). I am seriously glad they were there. Then came Prophets of Rage. They are much better live than on their album or live recordings. With a great mix of RATM, Cypress Hill, Public Enemy, and new music I couldn't have asked for more. They kicked ass. Everyone was dancing jumping headbanging and RAGING. I've never seen so many people enjoy themselves so much and share such a great experience.

The place was on its feet from the first to last note. There was so much energy I still felt it 2 days later. I've seen a lot of shows from different bands, but this was the most fun, cathartic and energetic show I've ever been at. Awesome!

WAKRAT was great, AWOLNATION was awesome, and Prophets of Rage........well what would you expect when you combine the likes of Rage Against the Machine, Cypress Hill and Public Enemy? The show was phenomenal B-Real and Chuck D did this group justice! Zach don't want to play- so be it. Id see this lineup again and again!

I have to start out by saying hip hop is not usually my thing, BUT the mix which is Prophets of Rage of electric guitars, rock baseline the rapping and passionate message they are trying to send, whether you agree with it or not, is magical. The fans were a little crazy but it was all in good fun! Great show very enjoyable!

The best parts were obviously all the RATM songs, but some of the others were great too, like No Sleep Til Brooklyn, and Insane in the Brain. The energy of the crowd was out of control. The entire GA section basically turned in to a mosh pit at points.

Great show. Great venue. Could have been louder to be honest. Opening acts were OK. Wakrat. I get it. Dude is angry and it was a little too bass heavy. But, dude was amazing to play that and then the POR set. Awolnation was just just right fit for this crowd. I guess they tried to anchor them to get some girls. But they were all wearing the same outfit and it wa just too fem for me.

The show was great, audience was pumped, band was on point, never missing a beat, great interaction with the audience, speeches were kept to a minimum, but somehow, I still miss Zack.

Prophets of Rage were great. The energy was non stop and the song selection was outstanding. I have seen Rage Against The Machine years ago and this was just a new twist. Chuck D and B-Real did an excellent job of singing the Rage songs along with a few of their own. Tom Morello and the rest of the band were on their game. You will not be disappointed if you go to see them

The show was fantastic from start to finish. The DJ that played the 20 minutes of warm up spun together songs from everywhere. Prophets hit the stage running and never slowed down, closing the show with Killing in the Name of.., a personal top 5 song of all time. Tom a Morello might be the most underrated guitarist of our generation.

A very good show overall. Wasn't familiar with opening acts. Prophets sounded good and played a good mix of songs from Rage, Cypress Hill, and Public Enemy. Noticed tempo of music was slowed down a beat, maybe because it sounded like Chuck D was having trouble keeping up. Nice venue with good sound.

FrustratedRage
A dull throb of drums and bass that blotted out all the vocals and most of the guitar work put out by a legend. It was back to the horrible sound that was normal during my 80s Heavy Metal concert-going phase. Most of the RATM tracks that I wanted to hear were there...too bad I couldn't savour them.

To get the chance to see Rage play again was something I didn't expect. Chuck D and B Real killed it and brought a really cool angle to the show.
