The Lone Bellow has been my favorite band for years. I had the pleasure of seeing them live in London in 2016 and again in NYC. Their music cuts right into my core, and stays a while. Plus, their onstage charisma makes me feel so full\u2014of joy, of emotion. I laughed. I cried. I love the Lone Bellow.

They rocked it. Great live sound and energy. They just kept playing song after song and the energy never stopped. Also, great acoustic set at the start of the second act.

I had been wanting to go to a concert for a while, and was looking on my local radio stations website for upcoming bands. I saw The Lone Bellow and I remembered hearing them in WYEP, really liked their sound just from the one song. After seeing they were coming I was like, "alright, let's see what else they got." Because I didn't want to got just off one song and hate the rest, that's dumb. Anyways, I listened to the rest of the album and really liked what I heard. Bought the tickets. So, as I'm waiting for the night of the concert I'm picturing their performance as a mellow, kinda laid back band. Sure they had some heavier parts in their sings but I didn't expect anything crazy. And I was dead wrong...in the BEST possible way. Their performance was just amazing. I don't know how else to put it. Their vocals were just as good as the recording if not better, the harmonies were amazing. But most of all the feeling! Man...that was awesome. You could feel the emotion behind every song and I loved that. That's what sets a true band away from the bands you say, "yeah that was a good song". I could go on forever about them, but if you get a chance to see them live DO NOT...DO NOT miss it. I'm so glad I was able to experience their awe inspiring performance in such a small venue. Thank you so much Lone Bellow for putting your heart and soul into your music. We need that these days.

Band(s) were great! Venue, not so much. The Lone Bellow pulled out all the stops and gave an amazing show! If you like their music and get a chance to see them live - go! The warm up bands were good too & the crowd responded positively to both of them. However, if you're going to a show at the Sinclair - be warned, there are no seats at all. No where to go chill. It's packed, shoulder-to-shoulder and pretty uncomfortable.

The Lone Bellow is totally awesome! They're so comfortable on stage and give each song their all. They love the crowd and do a great job interacting; through sing a longs or clapping or breaking into old school R&B tunes. Never a dull moment, never was I bored or waiting. Hung on every word, just like everyone else.

The venue was electrified by the music and performance of the Lone Bellow. It felt like a room full of friends, old, new, and some yet to be met, but friends none the less. We were taken from raucous frenzy to clear and poiniant moments of sweet reflection and story telling. I feel fortunate to have been a part of such an amazing night.

For fans of The Lumineers, The Civil Wars & the music of "Once" - you will not be disappointed! Zach, Brian and Kanene do not disappoint and put on one of the most engaging live shows I have seen to date. These guys are fresh off a new album, playing Conan, and touring with the likes of The Civil Wars, Dwight Yoakam and Brandi Carlile. Make it out to see them live if you can!

If you have ever listened to The Lone Bellow online, you know they are skilled musicians with strong lyrical and vocal talent. But watching them live raises the bar to a new level. The way Zack organizes six or seven musicians to flow seamlessly into the set like a conductor makes it feel like a folk-rock-country symphony. Their charm makes you feel like an old friend.

I am so happy to have had the opportunity to see this band in person. Not only is their music wonderful but they are very entertaining. I just wish we could have seen them somewhere else. The sound was not good. Very muffled to the point we could not understand the words to anything the opening act sang. Stage lighting was also disappointing. I will definitely go to see them again and hope for better sound so you can truly appreciate the blend of their voices and their musical talent.

I have been following Lone Bellow since the AJC did a "Personal Journeys" on Zach and his wife. I love their music. When I'm out walking I listen to Lone Bellow. Their concert was truly amazing. They sang song after song, rarely stopping in between. Even my husband was completely engaged in the performance (which says alot) and has mentioned how good it was every day since. Count us as forever Lone Bellow fans. Can't wait until their next album comes out.

Go see The Lone Bellow wherever you can! That said, this would have been a 5-star review if the venue weren't such a missed opportunity: I've now been to "the Club at Stage AE" a handful of times, and I'm afraid that this small- venue layout (if you haven't seen it, it's the bar area of the venue, with a small, low stage at the far end, forming a long, narrow rectangle with the exits and bathrooms at the other end and the bar in the middle) ends up being a real drag, with lousy sight lines and poor acoustics (during the opener we heard more noise from the bar crowd than music from the stage). Of course, this is only a bummer because the full-sized indoor configuration of the venue is SO much better - and for a sold-out show like The Lone Bellow, I'm thinking many more tickets could have made it into the hands of many more music fans.

we have been seeing concerts at ae stage for years and never had a complaint until now. the main stage was boarded off and they used a tiny stage that I'm not sure was elevated at all. We could NOT see the band. they sounded great and had lots of energy. Hard to tell on the small tv monitors above the bar though. Very disappointed. Would love to know why they did not perform on the main stage???

The Lone Bellow is a band that when you hear them or see them live, you wonder why they aren't winning Grammy's and selling millions of records. On the other hand, it's incredible to see them in small venues as their performances are intimate and the connections they make with crowds are genuine. This was my third time seeing them in under a year and I would see them once a week if I could. They are the best. Excellent songs, perfect harmonies, and much more.

The band really puts on a performance! Going out into the crowd, singing 90s songs on the spot, engaging in call and response with the audience, killing it on their tight harmonies, alternating between upbeat and soft! It was awesome! However, they don't really do too much speaking/storytelling as an interlude to songs (ie. describing where the song came from or sharing a tour story) but their musical performance was prime!

This was the opening show of a long tour by the Lone Bellow, promoting their new CD, 'Then Came The Morning'. And once again they put on a show which had the Paradise crowd nearly delerious by the end. They had played an incredible show at the Paradise last year with an amazing crowd response which still rings in my memory. I assume this was part of the reason they decided to open the tour here. Opener was local rock guitarist Will Dailey, and he put on a very impressive, smart and melodic set. Almost Tom Verlaine-like in his playing style, and that is VERY high praise from me. Very solid, interesting and fun set, and the crowd actually paid attention! That's how good he was. He build his songs around his guitar playing, and he had a very unique tone with his material. Has anybody else here in Boston seen him very much? Where does he play? I'd really like to see more of him. Very solid stuff. After a long wait, the Lone Bellow cam out to raucous cheers. They acted like they were returning from the wars as they came out and waved to all sides of the crowd to huge cheers. A great build up! If you don't know their music, check out their self-titled CD first, and then the new one. It's smartly written folky songs with great choruses built in which are almost anthemic on CD, but CERTAINLY SO live! I love being in the middle of a crowd who are all singing along to a song with an involved chorus. You could tell the band were both surprised and excited by the intensity of the crowd reaction. Very exciting (even for an old, disabled music geek like me who had to sit for most of it). It all became a wonderful roaring to practically every song (people had done their homework), and it was just...wonderful! What's not to like? Just a great 95:00 set by these Virginians as they embark to all sides of the U.S. Good thing this show wasn't scheduled for Monday!

Hands down, best sho I have ever been to. The venue was perfect. Intimate and personal. Drink prices were reasonable and you definitely got your money's worth in booze. The show was better than I could have ever dreamed, starting with the opener. This was my first time seeing The Lone Bellow and I can honestly say, I'd follow them around the country to see the same show every night if I could. Anderson East was so much fun to listen and dance to! I'd never heard of him before, but I've already made a Spotify playlist with his music and plan to go to his show in Atlanta in January! My husband came with me and is a new fan of The Lone Bellow. He's been to hundreds of shows across an array of genres and said this was the most fun he's ever had at a show. The band had a way of drawing the audience in and made it almost a church-like experience. You can tell they love what they do and they play for the sake of the music, not the money. I cannot WAIT to see them again!

A great, intimate show at the Port City Music Hall. It was the first show/final tune up of the upcoming tour, in a small venue on a Monday night. Impeccable musicianship, lush harmonies, great connection with the audience. The Port City Music Hall has great acoustics.

I first glimpsed the "live" beauty of expression, of this band, at the Drake hotel in Toronto, back in April. ... A birthday, Earth Day extravaganza! Their sound was sandwiched between that of two other bands, and yet not a moment of glory was missed! Having established myself as a calm, but ardent fan, I smiled loudly as we stood close to one another, smiling for the camera. A lil Kanene, and a little Zach. The second encounter came in the form of another birthday celebration for a friend, in the form of a short road trip to Rochester, for the Lilac festival. There we, being late missed a portion of the short performance that would solidify my love for the band. It was also at this performance, that Brian, in the middle of a rousing guitar solo, stepping out onto the woofer, gazed out into the crowd, catching the eyes of familiarity in a newly found fan-friend: Me! This all leads up to this past Thursday night at The Tralf: downtown Buffalo. I waited, chatted a bit with Mr. Pipkin, about the funkiness of the sweaty band-men, squished into the van. Febreze, man! This group of down-to-earth incredibly talented musicians and friends brought me into a state of heart arousal. I sang loudly, mostly in harmony, clapping my hands, stomping my feet and even, feeling a hopefull arising of the drop of a tear falling, at the anthem of lyrics in one of my favorites, " Bleeding Out" I just adore the band and wish that we could just have dinner and a jam session one night, in my home. Sigh... I must give a shout out to Aoife Odonovan, and her 2 guys. She certainly brought a smile to my face. Smooth soft, yet confident folk vocals, entirely reminiscent of Allison Kraus!

My husband and I went to this show because Bob Boilen of NPR All Song Considered said it was one of the best live acts he saw last year. I like the music, and you can't beat 6th and I Historic Synagogue as a venue, and it was a Saturday night, so no brainer - definitely worth going! Helpful hint: the venue is only 2 blocks from the Chinatown metro station, and parking is really difficult near the Verizon Center, so metro is the way to go. I recently learned that metro is staying open until 3 am on weekends now, which is even better! The opener, Greg Holden, was extremely personable, but my husband and I didn't care for his music which sounded very Nashville-country, even though he's originally from the UK. My big critique for him was that he only said his name one time, and he mumbled that! It's an opener's job to make sure the crowd remembers who you are. Since his name wasn't even on Songkick or the 6th and I website (at least after the show started), that was a big mistake. It took some digging around on the internet to put his name in this post. The Lone Bellow was extraordinary live. They are technically a trio, though there were 5 people on stage. It's vocal-driven American folk, but mostly uptempo. The harmonies are beautiful. If they had just been gifted musicians, that would have been fine. I would have felt I got my money's worth. Thing was, they were also engaging performers. They came into the audience to sing unplugged twice. There were stories about a crazy uncle from White, Georgia. There was jumping up onto the bannister rail at the end of the stage. There was excitement and energy on stage--I understand why it was one of Mr. Boilen's best of the year. They absolutely deserve that label. EXCELLENT live show. Side note: There was one VERY enthusiastic man in the front row who annoyed me and and my husband by jumping around like a maniac, motioning to the crowd to get up and jump with him, trying to soak up the band's attention for himself. The advantage of 6th and I is seats. Standing means that short people (like me!) can't see anything. I was very happy with the band for encouraging people to sit back down several times. It made a huge difference in my ability to enjoy the show.

Honestly, I was totally speechless when I left this show! I have never seen such pure, raw talent as The Lone Bellow. It was my first time to see them and it won't be my last! Their blend of voices is like no other.

Even if you don't consider yourself a folk enthusiast, Lone Bellow's amazing talent and stage presence will win you over. Great song writing and three headline quality vocalists make them out of the ordinary. Downside? Incredibly painful mix at the House of Blues frequently hitting 105dB on my iPhone meter. Too loud even for the "younger" listeners in group. Made a headache of what should have been a perfect show.

The Lone Bellow at the Tralf Music Hall was intimate, energetic, and inspiring! Their voices and emotions are so incredible that listening to them live makes you feel blessed. The openers, Hugh Masterson & Anderson East, were equally amazing! I look forward to following their musical careers and attending more shows. The show was truly moving and such a great experience! I would 110% recommend the Tralf Music Hall for any show. The atmosphere was intimate and any seat in the house allowed for great views of the performers. There were servers who waited on those sitting at tables in front of the stage. It was the first venue where I was able to sit, be waited on, and really just enjoy the music without bumping into everyone in the crowd.

The Lone Bellow was unforgettable. I couldn't have been more entertained and amazed by their musicality! I just want to know why it cost $20 for a whiskey and coke at the Murat? :-/

I came to the show due to a recommendation from a friend. While I wasn't impressed by the videos on their website, they had great energy and played well together. I ended up having a great time and loved their music. Highly recommend.
