This was my personal final show at the Original Masuqerade location and I couldn't have asked for a better one! First time seeing all 4 bands and they kicked ass, I've always loved the Masquerade and the staff always handles everything so well.

Great show. Wovenwar opened up and did a great show. I went to see Nothing More and my gosh they killed it. Incredible energy and got the whole place moving and enjoying it. Incredible band and should come back soon. Definitely wanna see them again. Periphery cane out and they were good in my personal opinion . The lead singer had a sore throat so they played a few "instrumental" songs to give him a break. Overall they were good.

I arrived at the show just as Thank you Scientist had finished. They may have been the best band of the night. Woven War was no energy, AILD lite, metalcore rubbish. All you could hear was the bass. With two killer lead guitar players, none of their guitar lines could be heard above the bass and drum mix. SUCK! At least the drummer's mustache was entertaining. Nothing More was nothing more than a gimmick band with a no shirted ripped up singer, choreographed multi member drum parts, and a gimmicky bass performance with an upright bass that took 3 band members to play something quite simple that one person could play. Interesting lyrics from what I could pick up, but a little delay pedal goes a long way, to say the least. That brings me to the most disappointing performance of the night, Periphery. I have seen periphery 4 times now, and this was, by far, the worst show. First off, the setlist. Periphery played 1 off the ST, 3 off P2, and the rest from Juggernaut. While the first two albums were high energy, djenty songs that everyone in the crowd knew, the Juggernaut songs were slow-ish droners, and didn't have much dynamic or angular riffing that these guys are familiar with. Nobody knew the songs, and the crowd was limp. It would seem, to me, that the songs selected off the new record (save The Bad Thing, which was pretty djenty and cool) were too boring and chorus driven sing-alongs. Anyway, the first time I heard them live did not impress me. They announced their last song, and left the stage without an encore. What?!?! I've been to two shows in my life (I go to a ton of shows) without encores, and it rubs me the wrong way. Turns out Spencer blew his voice and Matt injured his hand. Unfortunate as it may be, it resulted in a weak show. Periphery can do so much better. I have seen it. Maybe being so early on the tour the band has not hit their "GROOVE" yet, but I would suggest a strong review of the setlist, as well as including more older songs and a freaking encore!! Racecar should never be left out of a setlist...

As much as I love periphery, I was very disappointed by how short their set was. Also, their light show was totally obnoxious. I did not appreciate being periodically blinded by the bright lights flashing directly at the audience.

Ticket price was the first influencing decision in attending. At $13.90 per ticket, plus taxes and fees, making it about $17.00, you can't beat 6 hours of live music. The venue was adequate, with a pit section and balcony, for those not wanting to be trampled. There were 4 big names on the bill, with 2 or 3 local bands. I think I missed the first one, hence the maybe 3. All the bands performed at top notch, and really fed off the crowd. The show was intense, and I hope I can afford to see any of the bands again. BIGREDROBOT, Textures, The Contortionist, The Human Abstract, and Periphery, all worth a look. Lookin forward to the next show!

Got the Vip ticket, met everyone, got my face melted. Over all it was an amazing show. The only bad thing about it is that they were squished down in Purgatory while Hawthorn Heights was throwing glitter around Hell.

They did not disappoint one bit. Even being a new band many fans knew the lyrics to the songs and the band had a veteran stage presence. They kept the show flowing and sounded spot on to the albums which is what you want. If you love that album you absolutely must see this show. They earned their headlining position for sure.

This show was hands down the best show I have been to. Carbomb opened, and the bassist s energy was absolutely incredible. Really set the tone for the rest of the night. Then AAL played their crazy stuff. Tosin played a 9 string. Just insane. They started playing my favorite song of theirs, The Brain Dance, and I was done. I m in complete nirvana by the end of it. Then we get to Periphery which was, something else entirely. I blacked out for a few seconds I was so excited. I was mere feet away from my musical inspiration and guitar hero, Mark Holcomb, the whole night. We had such an amazing crowd too. Everyone was ready to be at a concert. We were all jumping, dancing, singing along, and crowd surfing people all over the place. We all went crazy together. You could see it in the band s faces too. They all seemed so blown away that they were able to invoke such energy from so many people. But really we just reciprocated what energy they threw at us. Then I got to nerd out about technical stuff, and take a photo with Jake to top it off? It s crazy. This was the first time I had seen any of these guys live, and it was was almost overwhelmingly amazing. These guys are all such an inspiration to me as a musician so I may come off as a fanboy, but these guys are all just something else. I d never felt the energy they had filled the room with before. Bliss, people, pure bliss. Thinking about seeing them ever? Go! Clear your schedule, bring your friends, and just go! You will not be underwhelmed.

The venue was well suited for this concert, capable of accommodating a large number of people. The staff was generally pleasant and met the large volume of occupant needs. My only suggestion (this being my first time here) is that the security be a little more accommodating. I know their job is to maintain a safe environment but when someone (with a medical condition?) seemed to be having a panic attack there was no way for them to get out of the very large group of people quickly and safely.. it seemed they tried to talk to a member of security and the man responded by aggressively pushing the person back away from the gate and directing them to walk through the cramped crowd..... I hope they made it out ok but forcing their way through 200+ people must have been very challenging. Overall my experience was positive. However, I would recommend keeping an eye out for the safety of the people that may be in various forms of danger. Specifically those near the middle or pit. There s no easy access in or out if something were to go wrong.

I got in a bit late, so I missed most of Car Bomb's set, but what I heard was good. Animals as Leaders was insane, they are so so good. Periphery is one of my faves, it was my first time seeing them live an I was not disappointed at all. Really enjoyed this entire show. The Electric Factory is a nice size venue, it was good. The only thing that would have made it better is if they removed the barriers on the bottom floor or at least opened the gates on them so people could use them for passage. They're a waste of usable space, and instead people had to shove in between the crowd.

So I do need to preface that Periphery put on an absolutely phenomenal show. Their performance was great and they did with what they had, however the problem here was the venue. The venue sucked SO bad. The sound was so dead, they had a lot of carpet, and they had some blown speakers, everything was a mess and the sound was terrible. The crew for Periphery couldn't even use any of their own mics because there were so many venue issues, and sound kept cutting out and you could see the band members looking at each other weird on stage. The sound guy was not the issue as I know Periphery has their own dedicated sound engineer, Alex Markides, and I have seen them 4 times and they always are the best sounding band, the issue was all in the venue and their equipment. If you ever get a chance to see Periphery do it, 100%, but never ever go to The Underground, awful venue. Even if the speakers were fixed, there is too much carpet and too many dead areas. The only place the sound was good was if you were sitting outside, and that's not where you want to be for any show.

Great musicians and entertainers always execute with accuracy. Periphery are by far the "tightest" technical prog metal band I've seen live and their gear enables their live performance to sound as well as their studio recordings.

The show was phenomenal. Periphery is my favorite band, and they more than delivered an outstanding performance. As a whole, the show was fantastic right from the opening act, who got the crowd going very quickly and alive, especially for such a small venue. Once Periphery came on, though, the crowd became even more ecstatic and Periphery catered to the crowd's energy very well. They played a variety of songs from most of their albums (mostly PII, Juggernaut, and PIII) and didn't focus too much on just playing stuff from their new album. Even though this show was during the end of the tour, the band still performed as if it was the first night, putting everything they had into making it the best show ever. The only issue I had is with the VIP Meet and Greet. I purchased the upgrade in order to meet and hang out with members of the band, however we weren't let into the building until about 5:20, which is about 50 minutes later than when the doors were supposed to open (4:30). Because of this, I a.) Rushed from my class that got out at 11:15 to complete a 5 hour drive for no reason and b.) Was unable to meet all of the band members due to the show starting at 6. I was only able to meet Jake Bowen and Mark Holcomb, who were very nice and down to Earth, but it would've been really cool to meet Matt, Misha and Spencer. Mark and Misha actually took out their signature guitars and let us play them and admire them, which was cool. I'm not sure if this poor organizing was constant with other meet and greets or if I just got a bad night, but it was disappointing nonetheless. I'd actually feel as though I wasted money on this if the show wasn't so amazing, and because of that, I'll let it slide!

Starting with the venue, it was my first time at St. Andrews Hall. This is the place famous for where Eminem's rap battles took place. It's a House of Blues-sized venue, in the middle of Detroit. The staff was very friendly, they handled the packed show and rowdy, mosh pitting crowd very well. The sound was unbelievable, all the instruments and vocals were well balanced and booming for every band. I would recommend seeing anyone seeing any show here. It's a fantastic venue. The show was also spectacular, but I think a slight lineup change could have made it better. Toothgrinder opened, and got everyone warmed up. However, CHON then took stage. The crowd loved them, but they're sort of a jam band with no singer. I think they should have started the show off, and the bands would have got progressively heavier throughout the night. SikTh was next. I've never heard of them before, and this was their first US tour. They put on a great show, very energetic band, and engaging with the crowd. I wouldn't mind seeing them again if they toured US once more. Finally Periphery took stage, and put on one of the best shows I've seen from a metal band. They effortlessly did what they do on album on stage, while jumping off of platforms, climbing speakers, messing around with each other, and engaging the crowd. They have a very nice light show as well to add another layer to their stage presence. The energy at St. Andrews during their set was absolutely ridiculous, and I would love to see them again.

This show was simply amazing. Thank You Scientist was a unique band full of incredible musicians. Their guitarist was unreal. Wovenwar was very tight with great vocal harmonies and amazing guitar work. Periphery, three headliner sounded great and had awesome lights. But the real stars of the site where Nothing More!!! Their sound was amazing and their energy onstage is unmatched. They have a very inventive take on the bass solo too. I highly recommend everyone to check out this show.

Periphery was just okay probably due to the singer had been sick all week so i could tell he was struggling now the band sounded great so all in all periphery wasn't bad but I have seen them where they were better imho. Now Nothing More was excellent and there stage presance was really a breath of fresh air they really put on great show an entertained the audience .. the venue is okay and I have been there before so I knew what to expect but honestly I really don't like the way it's set up the floor area is way to small and narrow in my opinion they really should open up the balcony area for events as well .. Final review I would defantly go see any of these bands again just not to sure about this particular venue it's pretty wack ..

Overall, this concert was a great event. Thank You, Scientist opened up the concert loud and proud, helping the other bands ride on some amazing momentum. The height of the concert I think came with Nothing More. Although the main headliner was Periphery, I really feel the bands prior to them were the ones that made the show. Nothing more didn't have as much energy as they used to. And I was very disappointed when we waited for them and periphery to finish to get a signing. Then To top it off we lost our place(first in line) when they moved the signing area to opposite side of venue. I didn't have all night to wait again and I was really disappointed. Staff was rude in regards to this incident. Nothing More had nothing to say. I bought their cd at show in corpus and was dying to see them ever since. I was let down. We bought three shirts hoping to get signed but no dice.

I'm a huge fan of Periphery, but I'm not sure what happened with this show. They came on at 10, and were off by 10:45. Probably one of the shortest sets for a headliner I've ever seen. Also, their set list was severely lacking. I understand this was the Juggernaut tour, but they didn't play any of their bigger songs. They didn't even play Scarlet, which was insane. Thank You Scientist was the best band of the night, bringing extremely high energy, and an amazing set. Wovenwar was great as well, but I would have preferred to see them headline alongside Periphery, as Nothingmore kind of underwhelmed.
