Kenny Lattimore

I ve always been a fan of Kenny Lattimore. I finally had the chance to see him perform; he did not disappoint. He s vocally amazing and he leaves everything on the stage. He s humble and thanks his fans for their support. The Birchmere was the perfect venue for an intimate evening with Kenny. Can t wait to see him again.

The venue was small and intimate but it was full. He performed all my favorite songs plus some new ones that I play on repeat now.

I have always enjoyed Kenny's music and to have the opportunity to see him was amazing. His vocals and range are breathtaking. He put on a great show and the interaction with the audience just added to the greatness. The only negative note if I had to add one is when you sit on the side next to the stage it's hard to see him because his background singers block the view. They were great as well.

I took my wife to the show and we had a great time, Kenny was on top of his game. when he come back we are going to see him again.

This was my first time at one of his concerts. His voice was amazing. His interactions with the crowd was great.

The show was awesome! The venue was clean, the food was good and the show was excellent!

Kenny is now and has been one of the best crooners on the R&B scene since the Soul of a Man. The comfort he display on stage brings the audience in to an environment the he has full control of and he wows you. Kenney took request and blew them away. Who else do you know has the ability to do that? If you know music and you don t see Kenney Lattimore every time you can you ve made a mistake. He also did a few songs from his new disk. Hot! I can t wait to cop it. One of my top concerts this year.

This is the second time I had the pleasure of seeing Mr. Lattimore and what a pure talent. I was accompanied by two friends who were vaguely familiar and after the show they are now big fans. His natural swag was refreshing to watch! Way to go Kenny. I look forward to coming to your show anytime you are at the Howard theatre!

This man is so under rated! Awesome and Extremely versatile vocal range! Great stage presence.

Ok so first let me comment on the opening act, Miesa. I'd never heard of her but she was ok. She sang 2 songs from a track and sounded ok. I'll keep an eye on her progress. Jeff Bradshaw was amazing! I love live instruments and they really did an amazing job. I was familiar with most of the band members so it made the show even better to be able to support them. Now for the man himself Kenny Lattimore, I can't even form the words..... He was simply phenomenal, his voice as fresh and clear and precise as when he first came on the scene. His multiple ranges and octaves are amazing. He will always be a favorite on my music list. He sang old and new songs and engaged the audience like we were old friends.

My rating would have been amazing but I was not crazy about the opening act. The guy who performed was much better to me as a backup musician when Kenny came on stage. I have always enjoyed Kenny Lattimore's concerts because he is a multi-talented performer with such presence. I will continue to purchase tickets when he comes to town--last saw him in an awesome show at the Birchmere in Alexandria.

Overall a good show, no complaints and was able to get pictures with him backstage after the show.

Kenny Lattimore was in rare form Saturday night. His performance was spectacular. I enjoyed the musical arrangements, which showcased his versatility and the addition of a little DC Go-Go flavor and jazz added to the mix.

I have always admired Kenny Lattimore as an R&B artist but after having the opportunity to see him live, I am now in awe. What an awesome pure talent Kenny has and it was evident that he really loves what he does by what he give to his audience. He has difinitely made my must see artist list whenever he is in the DC area and look forward to him returning real soon. The added bonus to this experience was the intimate setting in the beautiful Howard Theatre. I think the pairing of the artist and venue was a home run!

This has definitely been one of the best shows I've seen this year. His voice was powerful. His message was warm. I simply enjoyed hearing him as I've never heard him before. This was my first occasion to hear him live and it was well worth it. I always enjoy the Birchmere and I believe it is the best place to hear such talent. Excellent evening.

Kenny looks and sounds just like he did in the 90s. He has not missed a beat. If you loved him then, you will love him now.

I thought he was great but wished he had sung more of his older songs

I have seen Kenny perform a couple of times, I have even seen him and Chante Moore in a play at the Linccoln Theatre in Washington DC some years ago, he is, has always, and I think will always be a wonderful singer, actor, performer. This last show that I attended was just awesome, he is so very humble with a soooo sensual voice. He is concerned about his fans their likes and dislikes. Ok getting back to the show, I think that he sang every song that the crowd was asking for, he even did a medley of sounds to appease the audience. I was so hoping to hear a couple of songs from the "Things that lovers do" cd and even tho he did not sing anything from that cd, he more than made up for singing everything else!!! I would advise anyone who is thinking about going to see Kenny Lattimore that you go, you will not be disappointed. Just so happen this morning I saw his new video for his new single, cudos Kenny, loved it!!!

He was amazing! His voice is pure and so is his heart. I am so happy I got to experience him again. It has been Far too long. Do yourself a favor and experience Kenny when Ever you can. Thank you for an excellent show and thank you For sharing your gift.

The show was wonderful. Even though I had a high number, I was still able to sit at the first group of tables at the front left. My only issue was that the attendees at the tables on each side of me were very loud and inconsiderate. However, I will return to the Birchmere! Loved it!

Kenny Lattimore tore the BB King Club & Grill down :) he was awesome

Went to see Kenny Lattimore at BB King Blues Club on Sunday and it was an awesome!!! First off Mr. Lattimore engaged the crowd encouraging us to sing along and interact with him which made for a very personal and intimate setting. He cared that we cared enough to come out and see him and he expressed this with words and also with his performance. Second, he addressed in a very classy and honest way (even though he did not have to) the rumors concerning his current personal life relating to Chante Moore and their 9 year old son.No bashing just honesty. Last but not least he promoted his upcoming CD "Back to Cool" in a way that was not pushy or annoying. Sooooo cool....I will definitely buy it. In summary, Kenny Lattimore has much "more" to offer and I wish him best of luck on his new record label and new CD!

I've seen Kenny Lattimore perform several times over the years, but he really surprised me with this new spellbinding show! Looks like a new band and a few new songs, but what hasn't changed is that his voice is still as capable and smooth as ever. The show isn't a show without him acting out the smoldering blues of Donny Hathaway's "I Love You More Than You'll Ever Know" as if he penned it himself. The song was the centerpiece of his critically-acclaimed 1998 album From The Soul of Man, and still retains its passion today. Of course everyone comes to hear the wedding standard "For You" that inevitably appears toward the end. As a showman, Kenny is gifted at weaving together little stories between songs that make you feel like you're following a plot. It makes even the less familiar songs intriguing. You can't help but be charmed when he dons a tongue-in-cheek British accent to introduce the pair of Beatles' tunes in his catalog, "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" and "And I Love Her." Another treat is how he often masterfully interprets quiet storm classics like "Betcha By Golly Wow" or Teena Marie's "Irons In The Fire." Sometimes with his band, sometimes vulnerably a capella, but always flawless. There's no substitute for a great voice. Often the songs are arranged thematically. At some point, Kenny gives tips on how to apologize when your girl's mad at you, then slips seamlessly into "Forgiveness" and gave a bonus verse of The Isley Brothers' "At Your Best (You Are Love)." And if she accepts your apology, then the sexy "You Are My Starship" will move you expediently to the bedroom. By the time he closed out the show with a samba-remixed "Weekend," you had already gotten your money's worth several times over. So the bonus snippets of Sade's "No Ordinary Love" and Stevie Wonder's "Another Star" that he worked into the show closer really did leave everyone wanting more. I REALLY WISH I had a DVD of it. So, Mr. Lattimore if you see this, can we please make that happen?

I've been a fan since back in the day, but had never seen Kenny live. The ambiance of the venue was perfect. Kenny had us all in the palm of his hand. Great show!

Kenny's performance was impeccable. His deliverance, voice range, and rapport with the audience was excellent. He sang everything we wanted to hear and introduced us to new songs. He was very gracious after show, I took a picture with him and he hugged me like he knew me. I will see him every time he is in the area. He is a supremely skilled entertainer!!!

I love this man and his music!! He gives an excellent performance. I couldn't have asked for anything more besides more time with him. The intimate setting made me feel like he was actually singing to & for me...which he actually did! Super exciting!

It was an excellent concert. Kenny never disappoints when he performs. He spotlighted his background singers and that was a good touch to the show. He also spotlighted his band and they were great. I would recommend attending his concerts to everyone I know. The whole experience, from getting my tickets, picking them up at will call, ordering food at the Birchmere, the nice waitresses, the table was clean, etc. It was just an outstanding experience from beginning to end. I will definitely go back to the Birchmere.

The Birchmere allowed for an intimate display of his vocal acrobatics. He sang classics and new songs alike while reminding all in attendance why is voice is still un-duplicated. Kenny Lattimore is the consummate professional entertainer giving his audience an un-paralleled soulful musical experience.

I just saw him twice in a 7 month period and he was worth EVERY dime. Kenny s vocal range is incredible! If you have never seen him, then do yourself a favor and get to one of his shows ASAP! You won t be sorry. But be prepared for all the EARgasms you will receive. lol He has great showmanship and stage presence. He is very humble and appreciative of his fans and audience. He s personable and likes to spend time with his audience (pics and autographs after show). He even takes requests from the audience to throw in a few extra songs. Kenny, as he says, sings to the hearts of women and to the minds of men . There is something for everyone at his shows.

My mother use to play his music when I was a kid. And to hear him live and learned a little about his musical background was very interesting. I wished my mother was there to see him live. I went for my mother (R.I.H.). Kenny Lattimore has gained another fan.

I absolutely love small venues, it s intimate. Kenny Lattimore made it an experience to remember. He is just a beautiful person, soultry, and clean. As far as Jo Long Theatre, the only con, I don t like that I couldn t pick my seats. I would love to see that change in the future.

Kenny has an outstanding voice and is not afraid to use everything he's got. He sings songs that he knows his audience wants to hear and even goes as far as asking them what they want to hear. When they tell him what they want to hear, he sings it with or without music.

I had purchased Kenny Lattimore's music, but never saw him in concert. Let me just say that, he did not disappoint! His vocals were strong and clear and on point. I also enjoyed how he told his story of how he began singing growing up. He was also engaging with the audience.

Unlike some other singers, Kenny didn't need anything to enhance his voice. It was so pure, so beautiful, and he sang with such passion. Unlike some other singers, he didn't need to "sexualize" the performance, e.g., gyrating, showing body parts, etc. It was as if his entire body was the instrument. What a wonderful performance!

This was the first time seeing Kenny Lattimore in full concert. I was glad I had the opportunity to hear him. He is a classically trained singer who can sing any genre of music. However, I love his ballads. I would love to see him again, preferably at the Birchmere-an intimate environment. Keep the good work up, Kenny!

Best live show I've ever seen. He sounds better live than on CD. He was very engaging with the audience and his vocals are outstanding. I loved the show! If he ever comes back I would highly recommend you go see him. Awesome performance!
