After seeing Keller many times in many locations nation wide I was so excited! I took a friend who I thought would truly appreciate his art! His preformance was more like a psychotic episode! The first 45 minutes I thought he was putting things together waiting for the art I know of his work. It never happened! More like tuning his equipment and seeing how much he could put together with no flow or substance. I will question before going to another show if given opportunity.

Jake blew away Keller. Why Keller got any stage time I don't know. Jake has a stage persona that brings him close to his audience. He takes time to meet the fans after the show and signs items and poses for pictures. What he can do with the ukelele was what Hendrix could do with a guitar. Excellent show which included Dragons, Ukelele Five O, covers of While My Guitar Gently Weeps (George Harrison), Rolling In The Deep (Adele), Bohemian Rhapsody (Queen) and Over The Rainbow. The only song missing was Freebird (when I asked for it he opted for Over The Rainbow)

This was my first time seeing Keller and he is a non-stop stream-of-conscious musical madman running between instruments, laying down tracks on the loop machine. Basically a one man band recording tracks as he improvises right before your eyes. Very enjoyable for the DeadHead crowd especially, as he does several of their songs.

The perfect Keller show. Just enough instrumentals, jams, dance numbers, and unique original songs. Mosely and Austin were a very welcome surprise. The "Pfunk Jam" was expected because I am sure he would have been at the George Clinton show at the Fillmore if he could have been. The light show was stellar and an excellent addition. The only down side was that the Ogden has quite a few spots with zero stage visability. Thankfully I have seen enough Keller shows that I do not have to stare at the stage but it is nice to be able to see him build the songs and then stop to cut the rug with the rest of us. Overall and outstanding Keller show and it was exactly what I needed.

Great show - he opened with a lot of looping and play that would lead into some great songs by him. He made sure to play Gatecrashers Suck (Dark Star played here last night =) Second set he came out with a band and played everything from origionals to a few Pearl Jam songs! Awesome show - what a freakin goofball, I smiled the whole time. Go see Keller!

Honestly I had never really heard much of Keller Williams. I could tell by the energy of the crowd that I must be at a good show. Wow! A 3.5 hour masterpiece. Totally amazing. A musical wonder. After I realized the sounds he created were not just a back up track and the mix he put together I was able to really get into it. BTW that took half of the first song. Totally looking forward to buying some of his music and seeing him again in Richmond!

I love Keller Williams, and liked that Barnes dude on the banjo playing with him. Some killer bluegrass versions of old and new songs. Wished he would have done the classics, like Freaker by the Speaker and Kidney in a cooler..

I thought the show was good but I think Keller should be a front man with a band behind him. It's hard to hold a audence for 2+ hours by yourself no matter how much electronic gagets are employed. Don't get me wrong I think Keller is a awesome talent but when he hooked up with Danny Barnes for a couple of songs they tore it up.

Danny Barnes and Keller Williams are truly outstanding players. It was amazing how Keller used several forms of instrumentation to carry out his songs. He used a guitar synthesizer, bass, acoustic guitar, and keys! He turns "Dead" songs into his own bluegrass flavor. Danny Barnes brought in traditional bluegrass with his amazing banjo tricks and riffs. I would go again in a second! It was especially great to see them at The Aladdin where the acoustics are more intimate and you can see the show from all parts of the venue.

Never saw Keller Williams before but liked what my son had played for me on cd so went to concert. Problem was sound was horrible. Not sure if it was venue or his engineer. Also not fond of standing only venues especially when half the audience is drunk before they get there. Anyhow It was fascinating to hear his music live and experience his energy, but the poor sound and noisy crowd detracted. After the first few songs it all started to sound the same and got boring. Left after first set. Glad I only paid $20 for ticket.

Keller has been a favorite of mine since 2002 and has been around for over 20 years. While heavy on acoustic sounds and rhythms, he can loop tons of instruments and throw a massive dance party in a matter of minutes. Also, he's a really nice guy and goes out of his way for his fans. Just go see him live!! You will not be disappointed, even if you've seen him 40+ times like me.

Had a blast watching That 1 Guy open for Keller. Never seen him live and it was incredible. Keller is always fun. Loved hoopin in the venue too!! VIP ticket option needs to be added to individual shows, though. I would have paid to be upgraded and couldn't. I had a blast, don't get me wrong. The manager event approved my hula hooping but they wouldn't open the second floor so there was barely room to dance at one point. Please add individual VIP show tickets to ticketmaster!

Great Show!! Keller has a unique style of music and is the looper king. For those not familiar with his music, Youtube is your friend. Basically, he plays a groove on the guitar, records it plays it back while adding a bass line, then adds percussion etc...Fun stuff. Played two good long sets. I had read several reviews on the venue, State Theatre in St Pete. The reviewers pretty much liked the place, a converted movie theater, but all gave dire warnings on the bathrooms. Management must have read the reviews. They were pretty much unremarkable. (which is a good thing)

This is a difficult review. I can't really say how I felt about the show because it was so hard to watch. Keller Williams and his crew flew into Cincinnati and their luggage didn't make it. So right from the moment they landed they had issues, they had to run to Guitar Center to get everything before the show started. Once the show was under way there were so many interruptions to fix the amp, tune the guitar, deal with technical issues. So my review isn't great, we didn't enjoy the show, but I can't blame Keller Williams, or the 20th Century Theatre...I blame the airlines!

My 3 stars rating has more to do with the theatre that handled the event and less with Mr. Williams. His concert was really enjoyable, and both of my son and I had a great time listening to and watching him. My concern is that the venue did not really consider what it takes to have a successful event with kids, especially given that most children were in the under age 6 set. First of all, after service fees, the cost was about $22 per ticket. This amount is not reasonable for most families, let alone to spend that much on only two hours of entertainment for little kids. Also, Ticketmaster did not advertise that Keller would only play for one hour, and that the rest of the time was to be filled in with drumming. On top of that, as much as the drumming was fairly enjoyable for kids (not so much for the adults, as far as I could tell), They stopped after 40 minutes, leaving 20 minutes of lag time, during which many children were upset, bored, crying, and getting into trouble. Rule #1 with kids, as anyone who plans events for them should know: Keep Them Busy! The crew made Keller late since they didn't start doing checks, etc. until exactly 3:30, causing the main act to start another 5-7 minutes after the scheduled time. All in all, Ticketmaster and Ogden contributed to Keller not having as much stage time as he should have had; many children to be upset and unhappy; and many adults to feel ripped off financially. Hopefully you all can do something to improve this situation. Having family or all ages shows is important to the continuation of the live music tradition - it behooves large and small companies to make these events reasonably priced, active, and age-appropriate.

Leo Kottke is great guitarist and songwriter. Definitely worth the admission. Keller is funny to an extent. I have heard him with other bands like SCI, McCourys, or at festivals and he can add to the band. By himself, I was not so enthusiastic. Especially following the guitar talent displayed by Kottke.

I knew Keller would be awesome as he always is, but I honestly had no idea who Leo Kottke is and was refreshingly introduced to a wonderfully seasoned guitar player who has obviously been around for years yet somehow was under my radar. I love when that happens! Kottke played the first set, then there was a quick duo performance before the intermission. My guess is that Kottke left and turned in while Keller put in his own set to seal the show. Amazing guitar playing, many laughs, supereb venue, great night!

i came to see leo kotke- last time i saw him was 46 years ago- he amazed me then and he amazes me now- he is somewhat diminished in power but not in goofiness/ and mastery of guitar picking- he owns the style- you hear him and you know it is leo- wonderful/ self effacing extraordinary guitar player and teller of tales- feels like an old friend. Never heard keller williams- his talent is jaw dropping- loose and ironic- amazing chops and stories told in song but in total control- i can see why he was put with leo on this bill- he feels like the one to carry on the torch- i think if leo and the Reverend billie c wirtz had a love child it would have been keller- came for leo but would come back for this lunatic genius

We came to hear Leo Kottke and had no idea that he was just "opening" for Keller Williams. We'd never heard of Williams and it's just as well. I guess he has a following because not everyone left after intermission when we found out that Kottke had "left the building." I suppose we should have gotten the clue beforehand since Keller Williams was billed ahead of Leo Kottke. But who is greater than Leo Kottke?? He makes a guitar sound like 3. Amazing finger work. It seems Williams is "famous" for a lot of albums with one-word titles. He thinks he's funny. We don't.

This was one of the most interesting shows I've been to! All solo or the first half with looping and machines that was really fun to watch and showed how talented Keller Williams is. So much fun! Then for the second half of the show he was joined by More Than A Little, a funk band originally from VA that was so great! I told everyone that I went into this show knowing it would be a fun night out and it's exceeded my expectations by so much! Me and my pregnant wife thoroughly enjoyed the show and the atmosphere as Keller was Keller! He is superbly talented, as he can play anything! I really would love to see keller accept and destroy the challenge of anyone giving him an object that makes any kind of noise, and telling him he can't play music with that. Then, It would be wild to see Mr. Williams showing he can truly make music come from anything. As always I was in aw! Then, we got "Funked" as the band joined Keller on stage. It was different from any Keller Williams show I've attended, but undoubtably good, because my long weeknight seemed extremely short. That is, until work came the next morning and I was sore from dancing. This isn't like me. I am not a dancer of any kind, unless what I am listening to makes me one! Long story short; I loved it!

Seeing a show at the Paramount in Huntington may not be the best for true fans of a performer. Because of the general admission section and the open bars on either side of the floor, it isn't ideal to hear the musicians. Keller Williams is a novel act and enjoyable with a good sense of humor. Jake Shimabukuro is a true star. He does things with an ukulele that seem impossible. Most of his usual pleasant onstage demeanor was lost on the heavy drinking crowd. His more artistic songs were partially obscured by the crowd noise. Only when he went into his more rock and electric pieces did the crowd's din subside. My opinion is that if you want to see either artist, they are worth seeing, but find a better venue.

Keller Williams has been touring the country for years and every time he comes around it is obvious that he is forever adapting. With his roots in rock, folk, and bluegrass Keller performs a variety of songs both quirky originals and classic songs from his vast musical memory. Staying with the sign of the times his electronic influence has increased, offering a young dance hall approach to the music. His looping ability allows him to perform songs with just him and his sound guy involved. Without the knowledge of his original works may be a hindrance, the musical technique and showmanship is worth the price of addmision alone.

This show was so fun for my kids ages 5 3 and 1. My husband and I really enjoyed it too...so glad we got a little freaker by the speaker as well. The balloons and confetti were great...only complaint was the very long wait time for show to begin. Not sure if this is a venue contract, but it should be waived for a kids show I think. Also the Ogden only had one bar open making wait time extremely long for soda/beer. Waiting in line for 45 minutes with little ones also is not fun. overall....show could not have been better and meeting him after show made it extra special!

Sick show, the only other one man band worth seeing is Lord Buckethead. Keller is so fun, anyone who has not seen him should go! He is playing the intimate Mishawaka at the end of August. Check it out!

I've seen better performances of Keller. I LOVE the guy, just thought it could've been better. Maybe he was tired from the day show for the Kidz?

It was my first time seeing Keller live, and I must say it was quite impressive. My wife and I were blown away by the music he is able to play by himself. I would highly recommend this show to anyone. Well worth the price of admission.

This venue was perfect for this type of concert. It was clean, sound quality was great and it was not oversold, so you could actually move around! Ive seen Keller multiple times and each time including this one was exceptional! Is is so multitalented; its such a fun show to see! The only negative about the venue was the security. They seemed to be everywhere and yelled at someone if they were standing in an isle for more than 30seconds. That was pretty obnoxious.

Excellent show for the little ones. Just the right amount of time for their attention spans. Drums before the show, streamers and balloons during. And Mom and Dad loved it too. Fun for the whole family.

Of course Keller Williams would make a kids album! Of course it would be awesome! I have been seeing Keller for many years and was so excited that he made this album! I bought the album for my kids for christmas and they have listened to it every day since! I was so excited to be able to bring my 2 daughters ( 6 and 3) to the show.. They absolutely loved the concert. An incredible moment for a parent - taking them to a Keller Williams show. And, they knew the words to every song! The Drum circle opener was so fun, too! I hope Keller does a kids show everytime he comes to Philly! Thanks Keller!

From the meet and greet to the 9pm show, the entire Keller Williams experience was fantastic. His music is great and he is a really genuine person. My husband and I asked him about a song we both like when we met him and were informed it was not on the set list. Keller said that if he had some time before the show to practice it he would try to fit it in but no promises. Well sure enough, he played our song and we were both ecstatic! The venue was great too. We were right up against the stage and I was able to get great pictures. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and are planning on going back home to Pittsburgh in March to see him at Mr. Smalls.
