I enjoyed the whole performance. I wish they hadn't focused most of their dances on the music and traditions of Veracruz. I felt most of it was from Veracruz. I wished they would have added more dances from other states. i would have loved to see the traditional dances from every state. Other than that, the whole performance was great. I would definitely go see it again!

The Ballet Folklorico was truly amazing. The variety of dances performed was a great representation of Mexican history and culture. The costumes were spectacular and very colorful. The live mariachi band was a great part of the show.

From beginning to end this show was spectacular. Nothing was left out or overlooked. The attention to detail was superb. It was the fastest two hours I have ever experienced from a Broadway show. I wish it would have been longer. I love the fact that the interpretation of the history that everyone played and the music was very moving. Hats off to the entire crew that worked so hard to create and communicate history in such a beautiful way.

The performers did a wonderful job. However, the show was a little less than two hours and that included the intermission and they didn't start on time. I thought it was too short for the price.

Very entertaining 2 hours....very colorful....very accomplished dancers...and mariachi backup musicians were great. This show should have been sold out....but the absence of a lot of young folks and a Sunday evening before work day may have contributed.

This show is the most beautiful show I have ever seen. Not even Broadway. The colors, dances and joyful of this group of dancers made me cry, and also they have live music! A group of musicians and singers that play perfectly the sounds of every region of Mexico that they dance. I recommend this show to those who like to know more about Mexico.

The dance started with lots of energy from about 30 casters where the energy increased as it progressed through the show. The mid range show included something fun and flirty for a family I attended with a 2 year old with me and she was glued to her seat . The closing show was a crowed pleaser and left energized with plenty of desire to continue the show. Is it over???? Awww.

Absolutely stunning performance coupled with magical sets and amazing costumes that should be in the Smithsonian museum. The evening was a beautiful walk down Mexico's charmed cultural heritage. We were left in awe and all wished we could join them for just one moment. The moment came when their entire cast joined the audience in a most touching and personal dance that brought tears to many and smiles to all.

With the venue completely sold out, the Ballet Folklorico de Mexico is a great entertaining experience. The dances are perfect, very colorful and expressing different periods in Mexico's history. Dancers showed a great performance, they are charismatic and of course in great physical shape. They sometimes engaged the crowd to participate a long with the music. My family members were all amazed. I totally recommend this event.

The Ballet Folklorico de Mexico event was a delight to see. The Folklorico dancer's costumes were beautiful and vibrant in color. It was nice to have live musicians on stage. The dancers were really engaged and brought the artistic meaning of dance to life on stage. Great sets on stage. Will see it again if they are in town.

I went to see them about 10 years ago and loved them so much but never got a chance to see them again every time they would come to town. I finally got to see them again in San Jose and the show and dancing was better than ever. My favorite dance was the dance of the deer.......the music and dance was so intense you could feel it and it made you feel as if you were there in the hunt.

I took my 87yr old mother to this last Friday! She said it was the absolute best show she had ever seen. She had seen her share of Folkloric dances in her life time but never like this! The music, the dancers and the atmosphere was brilliant. I, her daughter, have seen the Ballet Folklorico de Mexico 3 times in the last 30 yrs. But this was on my Mom bucket list and I'm glad I got to be with her and watch the enjoyment in her beautiful eyes. Listening to the music and watching the dances of her people was priceless

Many aspects of Mexican life are represented, from the beautiful scenes and costumes that included the revolutionary women marching with rifles to the discipline of the deer dance with it's overtones of humanism. The charm of dancers and giant puppets that go into the audience moving in beautiful harmony. The live mariachi band accompanying most of the dances and occasionally taking the stage alone added more vitality to the show. The sheer joy on the stage is contagious and invites all spectators to dance and have a sense of our culture.

I have seen the Ballet Folklorico in Mexico several times and have loved it. Was not disappointed in Minneapolis where the amazing dancers and singers treated the audience to fantastic numbers. The choreography and the costumes were impressive as well as the energy displayed by the dancers. Would have liked a program indicating the origin and history of each dance.

Ballet Folklorico de Mexico was by far, hands down the best show of cultural expression I have had the pleasure of witnessing. I had a huge smile on my face almost throughout the entire show that I couldn't get rid of. The energy that exuded from the stage was contagious. The live music was absolutely amazing, the colors and the dancers were fantastic. I would definitely see it again and again.

No narration - just pure unadulterated talent. Music, live for the most part, added to the overall thrill and enjoyment of the evening. Wonderful costuming, authentic regional dances, beautiful choreography, all lent to an exciting and fun-filled evening. The deer dance, which I had not seen in several years, was one of the most touching and sensitive renditions I have ever seen. The entire troupe deserves any all accolades they receive. In a word . . . it was AWESOME !

The ballet is very tasteful. Every dance has a story to tell and every dance is from a specific state from Mexico. You can tell the performers are very talented and have years of experience. The musicians are also very talented. The music is beautiful. The costumes are impressive. I love that the show continues to be as the original ballet. However I did notice they did not dance "El baile de los viejitos" from Michoacán. I also recommend and think that the back stage needs some improvement as far as scenery. Over all I had a great time and enjoyed it very much!

I have seen this ballet folklorico a few times out in the LA area and I have to say that the program has been better there. It almost seems like the show here in Riverside was a fraction of what this ballet is. When the ballet is complete there is no doubt that it is the best that Mexico has to offer. I don't want to take away from these performers who did do an outstanding job it is just that, when you have seen the complete ballet perform you expect so much more. The venue was not full to capacity that may have been the reason. Perhaps in the future the show should take place on a Saturday night versus a Sunday night.

I have always loved to see this show and will go every year that they come to town. They hadn't come to Los Angeles for a couple of years and I am so glad I had the opportunity to see them again. My mother and daughter absolutely love it. This has to be the best show ever because the audience was so responsive and the dancers came out to us, danced in the aisles, and danced with audience members. They truly represent the energy, love, culture, srtuggle, beauty, and pride that is Mexico.

It started off alittle bland and the acoustics were not that great in the beginning. It did get better and the dancers were great. The costumes were beautiful. I only wished they put more into their set design at the start of the show. And the closing of the show was odd. Dancers just left and the audience didn't know whether the show was over, which it was. Other than that enjoyed the dances very much.

The experience was amazing. I never though I would enjoy a Mexican ballet like I experienced at this performance. The colors, the movement, the overall presentation was moving and brilliant. If one wants to experience a taste of the Mexican culture then I would highly recommend watching this ballet.

The performers are spectacular. The music , colors, and dances of Mexico make you feel truly happy and have a good time with family and friends. My only critique is that dances from other states such as: Michoacan, Chiapas, Northern Mexico, were also included in the program. Regardless, I would highly recommend it and will definitely see the show again.

So I've been going to see Amelia Hernandez for awhile now (every time they come around town) I absolutely loved everything about it I even took my boyfriend to it which at first wasn't very excited but he loved their performance We look forward to seeing them again On the side note though there was a lot of distractions going on with the flash photography I think they should check bags for no flash photography

The entire family went to the Sunday performance and I have to say we all enjoyed it so much! The dancers were amazing and the music really takes you back to your family gatherings in Mexico. It was so nice to listen to the music we grew up on. Yet it was taken to a new level. The kids watched in amazement and the adults sang along when they could. Just a beautiful afternoon all the way around.

This show was a beautiful sampling of regional flavors from clothing, to dance, to music. I went with my husband, 7 yr old, and 4 yr old and everyone enjoyed the performance. I wish that there was more live music with a larger group of musicians because when they had a stage full of musicians it was magical. Overall, fabulous!

As an avocational dancer of the ballet, I enjoyed those set pieces which incorporated ballet choregraphy. The pieces re the native indigeneous people's (Mayan) and Forest people -- first set after intermission were my favorites. The more popular "city, hacienda, and village" sets with Mariachi were enjoyable too, with beautiful costumes. The mariachi musicians added a great deal -- a favorite with the audience. Very enjoyable --

I went with my hubby and two children ages 12 and 7 and we absolutely love love loved it. From start to end the energy that these dancers bring is so admirable. Perfect way to reconnect with my roots good job. Anxiously waiting next years performance.

One word: AMAZING!!! You should definetely see it once in your life time. Spend the extra money and get the front row seats, you will feel like you are part of a show.

only two things.....the sound could have been a little louder....maybe because we sat on the fourth floor? I still think the sound could have been a little louder. 2nd.....it would be nice to have an anoucer say the names of dances perform before each performance. It would be awesome if Amalia Hernandez came to the performance.

This was by far the best event I've been to. I brought my oldest daughter with me and she was very excited to be there. I Just wish they came more often to Indiana. It was truly an amazing experience to share with my daughter!

It's very festive, I loved it !!!! It's a great opportunity to learn about other cultures a great event to bring teenagers to learn about their roots .. It's worth the price

My mother had mentioned to me that she wanted to attend the show, so I surprised her and we had a blast! It was our first time going to the Ballet Folk. in San Jose, it was a great show and I recommend it to anyone who is interested in attending. It was unfortunate that there was no dancing because the show made you want to get out of your seat and start to dance.
