Amazing, That's all I can really say. Busdriver's lyrical skill is overwhelming - the highlight of the set was when he covered Major Tom. RJ killed it on turntables, MPC and on bass and guitar with the full band and the came out in a space suit playing a belt mounted MPC at the end of the show. Ridiculous!

Whoever was also there at the show was definitely treated to a great performance. RjD2 is a musician! Yes, he's a dj too. When you watch him spin, he doesn't even need to use headphones while he operates his 4 turntables. He had the crowd's undivided attention, connected with the audience, and enjoyed himself performing. The band that plays with him is equally talented singing and playing multiple instruments. To see the crowd rise and lower like a massive tidal wave together along with the beat is something that you only see at the best of shows.

This is a venue for those who love bass; for those who want the perfect sound. RJD2 took advantage, and delivered the sickest show I have seen this year. Everybody there was loving it. Crowd energy was palpable, but gentle in counterpoint to the dark and violent visuals on the projector. After the show, our genius shook hands like a regular guy.

Greatest show ever! RJD2 mashed up his own songs with others, changed tempo, build-ups, drum fills, constant energy... and he's humble?! WOWW!!!

RJD2 really puts on a fun show. I found myself dancing, screaming, and overall having a blast. As for the venue, I think the El Rey could use an updated sound system, but the space is nice. I like the upstairs balcony and bar.

The opening band, Break Science was actually crazy good, I was really surprised. It definately got everyone pumped up for RJ.. RJ was also awesome, as expected. But i wish he would have played some of his more famous and up beat songs earlier in the performance.

Rjd2 knows how to put on a good show. From silly antics of dressing up in a robot suit (couldn't understand what the hell he was saying half the time), to doing mario puppets, the man can do it all. He of course played one of his biggest hits, Ghostwriter, which was the grand finale. My only beef was that the show started almost an hour and a half later. The opening artists were good too.

RJD2 is ridiculously talented. He spun like no other, it seemed like he was doing 100 things at once, constantly changing records. Then he played some guitar, bass, and then sang his heart out. The other musicians were very talented. The venue was very small and intimate. It was a great time.

The concert was not bad. But we wait too long (3hours), for something average. Some good songs and a nice videoprojection, but the overall impression is a bit all over the place. RJD2 seems to look for his style, mixing a bit of electro with rock. It doesn't work very well.

The show in Williamsburg last night blew my mind. Kicking the events of the night off with Happy and Break Science was perfection. I couldn't believe the amount of talent before my eyes, each dude was a master of his own craft. I danced my ass off and had a kick ass time. Hopefully my school will be successful at booking RJ for our music festival!

The structural stability of the upstairs floor at the masquerade is beyond questionable and the drinks are a little expensive. However, they had a good band playing downstairs while celestial or whoever was sucking it upstairs. Pizza for sale was clutch. This is my second time in 3 years to see RJD2 and again he by far surpassed my expectations.

RJD2 performed an incredible show. He knew exactly what he was doing, and even though no one else did, the audience knew it sounded great. He played all of our (the fans) favorite songs and a few of his new ones! I really respected his request for a "No Smoking" policy while he performed. He was funny, entertaining, and upbeat. I don't think I allowed myself to blink once. Perfect concert!!! :) The opening were really fun! Happy Chichester, who also performs with RJD2, was AWESOME! He was sweet and is a king of beat boxing with an indie twist. The band The Constellations from Georgia were perfect and really spiced things up. I LOVEDDDD it!!!!!!!!

This show was the 2nd time I have seen RJD2. The Masquarade is a cool venue. It has plenty of bars through out the 3 story world...Heaven(upstairs), Purgatory(in the middle), and Hell(at the bottom). Smoking out front or out back. The bouncers are NO JOKE there. Don't show up drunk as a skunk. They will deny you a drinking wrist band, and definitely kick you out if they catch you drinking. (this happened to my friend and he missed the opening acts. i talked with the manager, and he eventually let him in after several attempts). Buuut. RJD2 Brought one hell of a show. He would switch from the turntables to the guitar and play along side some other members. He released his CD that night to us(2 days early) and had some rare unreleased vinyls of his instrumentals, which i bought. Over all an Aplus.

Im really glad that the show was in Heaven. It was packed, getting there early was a great idea, even if it was freezing and raining. It was well worth the front and center view. Great venue, even if they are sticklers on smoking, but I later learned that the performers rather us not to. Opening bands were great! fun, got everything pumped. RJ's entrance was kickass, Commissioner Crotchbuttons. And the show was pure ecstasy! Beautiful.

Rj came out as Comissioner Crotchbuttons, rocked our faces off then went back to his vinyl. He played some old favorites, got the crowd going, then he came out with this band and played some stuff off of Since We Last Spoke, went back up to his mixers, played some more old stuff, did his usual Mario thing which everyone loved. He then went back to the front of the stage with this band and played some stuff off of his new upcoming album, The Colossus, he closed with The Horror and then Ghostwriter. These two songs back to back were incredible. The crowd basically turned into a mosh pit during Ghostwriter and it was amazing. The whole show was great. Loved hearing all my old favorites, he even played Bus Stop Bitties, which I've never heard him play before. He never fails to put on a good show and even shook my hand at the end of it all. Go see this man spin.

This has to be one of the best shows i have ever seen, no crazy lights, a little bit of video, but JUST TO WATCH RJ IS ENOUGH!!!!!! THIS MAN IS A MODERN DAY BEETHOVEN!! HIS BRAIN WAS DEVELOPED BY AN UPPER POWER JUST FOR THIS REASON!! THIS MAN PLAYS BASS GUITAR, LEAD GUITAR, DRUMS, KEYBOARD, TURNTABLES, BEAT BOXES. HE IS INCREDIBLE. I DROVE FROM FORT LAUDERDALE TO ORLANDO, LEFT ORLANDO AT 2AM AND ARRIVED IN FORT LAUDERDALE AT 5 AM, AND STILL MADE IT TO WORK AT 8AM, AND I DO NOT REGRET ONE SECOND OF IT!!!!!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND SEE THIS, THIS IS THE BEST MUSICAL SHOW I HAVE BEEN TO IN A LONG TIME

INCREDIBLE! RJD2 is the man! He's like a mad scientist up there layin down tracks, mixing, and grabbing sounds from a bunch of different records. Straight business from the moment he walked on stage; nonchalantly strolls up and starts throwin' it down! The Belle of Louieville served as a great venue for this late night show, with a nice dance floor, an up close intimate interaction with the artist, and a nice classy setting. Although it was a short lived, we enjoyed every moment. After the show, he hung around, shook hands, and conversed with fans. Amazing and super talented artist, wouldn't hesitate to see him again!!

This show was absolutely worth more than what I paid for it. RJD2 is a fabulous live entertainer and works incredibly hard to deliver. Non-stop beats, guest musicians.. Flawlessly woven RJD2 classics like Ghostwriter, Milk Tooth, and Temperamental mixed with sounds from his new album, Dame Fortune got the audience all kinds of excited. Refreshing to see an actual DJ, too!

This was a big show for RJD2 coming back to Boston. Good amount of people for a Sunday event. RJ has a very unique style of spinning with four turntables going at once. He talked to the crowd and showed a lot of love to the Bean. His beats are old school mixed with new school. Very creative.

Leading up to this show I read some downer reviews on this sight about RJ's shows.. I definitely had a different experience. This show ended up being for sure one of my best concert experiences. He performed for upwards of two hours, maybe almost three hours, first hitting a big spread of his released tracks, then going "house party" style at the end. Continuous music, spinning on about 5 turntables, real-time djing with predominantly, or all, real vinyl action and none of the electronic pre-mixed stuff. Definitely an impressive feat, especially without a break. It was in a great venue-- Gramercy Theatre in Manhattan. Perfect size, holds about 600? Crowd had great energy, spent the whole time in the front row and the big "push" that happens when a headliner comes on was not bad at all.. People were just having a great time and dancing a lot. Staff was friendly, there was a coat check, and there were two bars in the venue. Only drawback was the $6 pabst cans, but what do you expect in NYC.

Rjd2 was great. Had the crowd going, awesome tracks, but he only played for an hour! I've been to hundreds of shows and have never seen a headline act that has gone on for such a short time. Everyone there was really disappointed. He would have gotten excellent reviews if it weren't for such a ridiculously short set.

2nd time i've seen RjD2 at the paradise in the past 12 months. He was absolutely great again. The opening DJ(s) were great after about an hour after the doors opened and more people came into the venue. One of the DJ's seemed to be more content checking his phone than doing or even faking DJ like actions. However, once RJD2 came on, he ROCKED. Awesome set, very close to the stage, he even hung around after the show to autograph fans things and give out hugs!

The bottom line is, you have to see RJD2. His energy on stage is incredible and he can spin and flip records like a master. He played all of his biggest hits such as The Horror and Smoke & Mirrors along with some exclusive material just for this venue, such as sampling The Cars "Good Times Roll". The crowd was small but electrified by the music. I went with a group of 15 people and we had practically owned the third row. I even got to take my picture with him and shake his hand!

The concert was excellent, it was pretty much a 2 part show, first half was with icebird and the second was just RJD2 .. it was an awesome transition of style/genre .. Sadly, I cannot say that this was an "unforgettable" event .. but if you want to go out for a fun time it is highly recommended, I say this isn't an unforgettable event just because nothing unusual happened .. nevertheless, I would go again.

Snowboard on the Rocks is a great event, at least in concept. Overall, I had a really nice experience. The films were excellent. The vendor tent village was superb. One of the best I've seen at any event. I walked away with two free t-shirts, lanyards, candy, stickers, and burritos! The event did get really cold and long at the end though. My recommendation for the planners for next year would be to change the structure a bit. By the time the headliner RJD2 came on it was after midnight, cold, and most of us had been there for at least five and a half hours. I felt badly the ampetheater basically emptied out at the start of this set. Instead of Artist/ Film/ Artist/ Film/ Artist/ Film/ Artist, I would suggest the planners skip the opening act and end with a film. In the end, this event was really about the films, not the musical acts.

RJD2 is an amazing DJ and producer. No doubt. But it took more than 3 hours for him to come on from the time the doors opened. My friend and I were so bored waiting for all the other DJs and MCs to finish filling up the 3 hours. Some of them were okay. At least there were other bands in the venue, so we just walked around, but for the most part, it dragged on and on. Also the volume was way too loud. It's not healthy to listen to extended periods of loud music. One more thing was that the price was high to have that kind of experience. We probably ended up paying more for the opening artists than for RJD2.

Excellent show. Great live performance! This was my 1st time seeing him but have listened to his albums for years. Seeing RJD2 live is an experience one mustn't miss! The show opened with Happy, setting the tone for some of what's to come. Busdriver was a nice surprise--I hadn't heard of them before, and they've got rockin, hip-hop reggae style! When it was time for RJD2 to take the stage, we were pumped up to see the best of the best. Great lights, great visuals playing in the background, and amazing stage presence! Whether he's playing alone or with a band, he owns it all. Great show, super talented guy, and I'm honored to have been able to see him in person.
