Marcus blew that Room Away! Chris Seemed completely ecstatic to be with the old crew. They did all their BC hits and did nice renditions of Deep Purple s Hush and CSNY s Almost Cut My Hair

Chris Robinson is as good as ever and Audrey Freed and Marcus King are worth the price of admission at any cost. It s like seeing the Black Crowes on stereroids. Being at the home of the Grand Ole Opry only made this a most memorable night. The energy of the crowd carried the show and I felt like they could have played all night.

Unbelievably the best show I have seen in a very long time! Chris Robinson truly loves what he does for a living and it showed. 2 amazing guitarists and an all around solid and tight band! Hope this isn't a one-off tour!!

If you believe what's been said, it's highly unlikely the actual Black Crowes will ever play again. So...this is your next best bet. Band sounded fantastic and threw in some nice covers along the way. Was hoping for some more deeper cuts than what was played, but that is being a bit picky. All in all, it was a really good show.

This was expected to be a great show. I mean Chris Robinson and Marcus King should make any blues/soul based music fan's day. The Ryman show was absolutely stellar. All band members brought their "A" game to this one. The keyboardest was awesome, the base player and drummer were sharing the same brain and never missed a trick, the guitars were spot on all night and young Mr. King was absolutely stellar. This young man is a force to be reckoned with. He has his own band and has cut a couple of really outstanding albums, is a triple threat singer, song writer and guitarist and is an absolute prodigy. If you ever get a opportunity to see him play in any capacity you should. Now for Mr. Robinson; Mick Jagger nor Steven Tyler have anything on this guy. Stage presence, sensibility , and reading and reacting to the audience is not something that can be taught. Oh and his voice is probably as good as it has ever been. An outstanding night all around.

I caught one of the Black Crowes shows near the end. It really caught me off guard how good they were and this was no different. I swear, CR just dances and smiles away and looks like he is having the best time of all of us. With this music, you don't need to know the song to think it kicks butt. With the Allman's done, Janis long gone, I think Chris is my hope to take over the killer jam band title. I have seen the Brotherhood and it doesn't equate. I won't get in their debate but these songs with Chris, it's all that matters to me. It just can't end....

Haven't been the electric much over the last few years, since there are so many new and better venues in the area now to see bands. I was excited to hear that CR was getting some friends together to play the music of our beloved Black Crowes. Seeing as much live music as I do, I know that when people from various bands get together for quick tours there isn't always a quick 'gelling". that's understandable. To be really comfortable musically with someone takes time. Seeing as how this was only the second night of the tour, I understand that there wasn't this open free flowing musical vibe that I was hoping for with these guys. Both Audley and Marcus didn't seem to have a deep connection with the music they were playing. I was surprised for both of them for different reasons. I had always thought of Marcus as being a guitar savant who could just close his eyes and be the music. And Audley? He was a Crowe for crying out loud. There just wasn't the heart and soul I was hoping for. I just found these guys to be "mechancal'. That's the best word to describe what i was hearing. - at least what I could hear of it. The sound in this venue is just atrocious. I have stood all over the place in the Electric factory and there really is only a small area of the floor where the sound could be qualified as "good". Not great, or clear, the best. Just good. Unfortunately if you're not willing to, or don't arrive early enough to fight your way onto the front portion of the floor you're in trouble. Mud, muffled, dirty, these aren't technical terms, but when describing sound I'm sure you get the gist of it. How a music venue that has been around for so long, even just at it's currently location, can bring musician into a venue that sounds like that it hard to believe. I spent some time up on the second level both back along the side and straight away in the back. How could it sound so badly straight on, look at the stage? No clarity at all. I'm very glad that venues like the FIllmore, Ardmore Music Hall, the Tower and the TLA have figured out how to give us clear, loud music where there is some high end, and instruments can be differentiated and heard.

What an incredible concert. (April 18 - The Electric Factory in Philly) The band was really tight for only the second show on their tour. Everyone looked like they were having a great time, especially Chris. It was so uplifting to see him with a big smile on his face dancing and singing those old songs. The covers they did were incredible. I think their version of Almost Cut My Hair was better than CSN! The Hard to Handle / Hush medley was out of this world. It was an excellent choice to include Marcus King in the band, he is a guitar player among the greatest. I wish I could have seen more than one show on this tour.

The concert "As The Crow Flies - Portland, Oregon" was AMAZING!!!! Chris Robinson was "spot on" with his vocals singing "The Black Crowes" songs. He is GREAT AS EVER!!!! (I can still hear him singing those songs on May 13, 2018). I am sad that the band The Black Crowes have broken up and that there is so much animosity involved with the members, but, I really hope that they can all get beyond the bitterness and follow their individual hearts to happy lives and ongoing "fantastic" music ( each one of them). LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!" XOXOXO - Jocelyn (from Christmas Valley, Oregon : ) )

Chris Robinson put yet another outstanding version of the Black Crowes on stage at the Fox Theater in Oakland. I knew what a great guitar player Audley Freed was already, having seen him both with the Crowe s and Trigger Hippy. He in fact was probably the reason I purchased tickets this time. After watching the opening song (Remedy), I became filled with emotion upon discovering the other guitarist Marcus King. Throughout the show he amazed the crowd with his ability to capture your attention with his guitar playing. Reminded me of first seeing Lynyrd Skynyrds Gary Rossington and Allen Collins back in the 70 s. Together with the rest of the band it was heaven in Oakland that night. As always they covered a few other songs, a Doors song and the song Hush made popular by Deep Purple. The encore was the most incredible of the night, a version of Rock n Roll Hoochie Coo , done Johnny Winter style. What a night!

CR and his band were unbelievable. We all know Chris is a top notch singer and no one has rocked harder than what we saw in a awhile and I see many shows. He danced and drove the Black Crowes tracks and fantastic Covers which just kept coming, blasting with the two lead electric guitars he assembled in his band, who were all great. So far it's my top concert this year over Jack White, Judas Priest and U2 to name a few I've seen. Hope he does it again.

This was a great concert. Chris Robinson put on a good show. He was very energetic. He danced and sang all night. All the familiar songs. His band was super tight. Especially his guitarist Marcus King who is a phenomenal guitar player. I will be looking forward to seeing the Marcus King band when they come to this area.

Long time BC fan but this was no BC show, but a solid effort. It was really great to hear and see Chris perform BC material again and the set list was satisfying. Chris appeared energized and gave it his all, sounding better on BC material than I what I heard during the last few BC tours. One big issue - Not sure if it was their sound engineers, the venue's characteristics, where we stood in the venue or some combination - the bass was faaaar too loud, earplugs only made the humming worse. On the verge of bass feedback most of the show. Bass real muddy, not a good sound. The mix in general was lousy. The guitars sounded thin and lost, Chris sounded great, but again, the bass was an unwanted distraction. Saw them again in Tahoe the following night and the sound was greatly improved, so some redemption here. Bass volume tolerable. The band could have been tighter, several clunky transitions each night. But, they jammed, and it was nostalgic and fun, just don't expect a Crowes show like days gone by.

As the Crow Flies: Really great to hear a solid set list from these guys. Marcus King is amazing and so great to see him with an idol of mine, Audley Freed. Venue: Sound a little bassy in the mix for both bands up in the nose bleed seats. Once and Future Band: The opening band, not so much. It's not that I'm a heathen to that kind of musicianship and song writing- it's just been done so much better before. Early Gabriel, Brian Eno, Yes, Steeley Dan. The days of aimless, twenty minute songs with little melodic or rhythmic continuity are gone. Even if this was 1972, they'd be a bad version of it.

It was great to see Chris Robinson in his true element as a front man. The whole band was great and guitarists Markus King and Audley Freed were on fire. Loved the set list. The jams were extensive and very emotional and not too much senseless and self-indulgent noodling. Chris Robinson is one of the greatest rock singers ever. More power!

My son and I are Black Crows fans from way back! I didn't read up on Chris Robinson's project before the show, so was excited to hear all the great Crows songs again. I danced all night! The band was great, they definitely pulled it off. I did miss the backup singers though. Still great show! Highly recommend anyone to check them out.

Let me start out by saying how great this concert was. However when we purchased our tickets we were under the impression we were buying tickets to see The Marcus King Band which it was not! However he was in the band which was Swesome and loved the show. Whoever marketed this event did not make that clear, so in some ways it was great but it was also a letdown due to the fact that it wasn t what we thought it was going to be.

Of course I would rather see the original lineup touring again. But until the Robinson brothers make up it was awesome to see and hear Chris singing Black Crowes music. And Marcus King that he brought into the fold on guitar.....WOW!! He blew the roof off of the place with some of his shredding!!

While like many fans, I would love to see The Black Crowes, I thought this show was terrific. The band was superlative, especially Marcus King and Audley Freed interplaying on guitar. Chris Robinson's vocals were great, and he seemed to be having a genuinely wonderful time. The Ryman is an amazing place to see music. I have been fortunate enough to see four shows there, and if I were an avid music fan, it would have to be on my bucket list of places to see shows.

I have been a Black Crowes fan since the early 90's and seen them live many, many times. When they broke up I was crushed. When I heard Chris put together As The Crow Flies I was ecstatic. Chris and the band did not disappoint! He has never sounded better and his energy and showmanship were on point. He seemed so happy on stage and it showed.
