Just want to say we were not let down. Very good show. I have always enjoyed going to every Homecoming I can get to. Still miss the oldies like Ivan Parker, & Guy Pinrod. But Bill Gather never lets me down.

I'd guess about 1000 people had the time of their lives Wed the 30th. Bill knows how to put on a good, funny, emotional, loving Christ concert for all who attend. One of my friends, a 60 yr old man, was moved to tears, as were many others. 3 of our gospel quartet attended, and we all left amazed, fulfilled, blessed and ready to sing all the way home; 240 miles! Instead we just listened to CD's we bought. Can't wait to attend another! We had fun talking to our seat neighbors. Found out they were from another town close by, and just as big Gaither fans as we. A wonderful, uplifting evening.

I purchased tickets for this event the moment I received an email they were going on sale. I gave the tickets to my mother for her to take anyone she wanted (as I was unable to accompany her). She invited two of her friends and they had a wonderful time; said the show was amazing - even better than they possibly could have imagined; there were holiday songs, but also other music, and the show was the best one she had ever seen..

The new Gaither Vocal Band is fantastic! Although I missed seeing several artists that often appear at the Gaither Homecoming events, the music was wonderful. One criticism -- I really disliked the setup with the stage at one end...I much prefer seeing them in the center of the venue. Floor tickets for this performance was my Christmas present, but the view of the stage would have been very poor without the big screens.

This was another great concert put on by Bill Gaither and his homecoming friends. This one a little more special since he had some friends who normally do not travel with him, such as Reggis and Lady Love Smith, Larnell Harris, etc. David Phelps was his usual amazing and awesome self. It was great to see the Issacs as always and also great to see Charlotte Richie.

There were fewer performers this year with the absence of Signature Sound being the most significant. The performers were enthusiastic and the music was as expected but there seemed to be more of a "rock and roll: than gospel approach. It appeared that they didn't do a sound check in the auditorium but just cranked up the volume until the chairs rattled.

I called the facility to determine the length of the program because we may have needed to make some arrangements. I was told the event was approximately 2 1/2 hours and would be over around 9:30 PM. So we did not need to make other arrangements. Around 9 PM we had not had an intermission so I checked with event staff and was told intermission would be approximately 9:30 and the show would be over around 11. So we had to leave at intermission and miss the second part of the event. Most unfortunate since we spent over $100 and drove some distance. Had I gotten the correct info when I called the facility this could have possibly been avoided. This was the facility fault not the show, however I visited the Gaither web site to try and determine the length of the show and found no information there. It might be wise to include that information. We are elderly and found the volume slightly high for us. The volume of the background music often drowned the lyrics of the song. Attended a Gaither event in Atlanta some years ago and found it a much more pleasurable experience.

The Gaither Homecoming Shows are always amazing. They are filled with so many talented guests -- both vocal and instrumental (not to mention the banter and stories). Whether I'm at a show or watching a video at home or on television, I'm always entertained the entire time. The show last night was no exception. My Question is: Why do you go so long between bookings?

A comment that I forgot to make in my original review. Again I thought the music was fantastic, but I did notice that the show was not very organized and sometimes it showed with the organization within the groups. Bill was constantly waving performers to come onto the stage which indicated to me that there was no plan as to who was to do what when. Very loose, but maybe that is the way Bill wanted it. I have been to several of their concerts in the past, but I have never noticed the disorganization which seemed to be present last night; however, I will go again.

This was a wonderful experience for my mom, my friend, and I. We enjoyed the show to the fullest. Larnelle Harris and David Phelps were phenomenal. The singing was great and there was enough comedy & laughter thrown in to keep it balanced and moving along. Very enjoyable! One complaint, geared at the location, not the performance, the floor seats were so close together you had to sit with your elbows and shoulders squeezed in to make room. Needs better spacing.

Bill Gaither has been doing this a long time and his comfort level is clear. The Gwinnett Arena is a great setting for what feels like a family concert or small church program. Yet, the down home friendliness and coziness belies a powerful delivery of the Christmas message. The Smiths' lyrical melodies, the Isaacs' tight acapella harmonies, and Larnelle Harris' engaging enthusiasm combined with Michael English and David Phelps' ongoing duel to deliver the most powerful vocal dynamics while communicating the lifechanging message of Jesus Christ left this listener alternately chuckling with delight at the display of such remarkable talents and overwhelmed by the spiritual truths' impact on my heart and life. You may not be able to catch them this Christmas but make a point of getting a ticket early for next year's celebration!

The Gaither Homecoming concert was a very enjoyable mix of traditional gospel hymns, classic Christmas music, and some very funny banter by performers. Led by Bill Gaither, the entertainment was fantastic, with great singers such as Mark Lowery, the Martins, Charlotte Ritchie, Buddy Green, and others. Sound and lighting was top notch. I would encourage everyone who enjoys Christian music to attend a Gaither concert when possible.

The entire show was packed with music, laughter and praise for over 3 hours! The concert was wonderful and I am so happy I attended. My one and only complaint is the seating at the coliseum. I paid for second row seats, top dollar for three tickets. I will NEVER do that again! The seats were so small and NO leg room. When it came time for someone to get in the row or out, we all just moved seats. It was easier to do that because there was NO WAY anyone could get down a row of seated people. I know it is about the money - how many people can you pack in munchkin sized seats so we can make money - but that is ridiculous when you know your audience will be mostly senior citizens, people on canes, crutches, and whatever. It certainly detracted from a wonderful concert. BOO on the coliseum.

Been to many Gaither Homecoming concerts. Took friends that had never experienced Gaither event before. They were BLOWN away! By far this was the best yet, honestly the Holy Spirit's Presence was so strong in the building I could sense angels watching and praising along with us. You can't beat this show. I have been travelling to see the homecoming for the past few months and the energy level and worship of all the acts can not be beat. Really enjoyed the more informal setting of this year's concert - seemed more relaxed and personal than those in years past. Wish it could have gone on all night - or at least until midnight! Only drawback: the end-stage setup was not as easily viewed by those in the front/side sections (from what I heard).

My wife and I were "front-row, center" & the experience was outstanding. The musicians and the performances were great. There was a good mix of styles and voices. We get the "Homecoming" magazine; in the magazine there is a comprehensive listing of Gaither CD's, and I have them all. We've been to every Gaither concert held in Little Rock. So, we're real supporters and fans. It s hard to pick a single "best" moment, since each performer has his or her unique talent and style. We were glad that Wes Hampton has more opportunities to sing. Of course, David Phelps was outstanding. Gene McDonald was a memorable addition; his voice and obvious talent were a welcome addition. And, then, of course, Gorgon Mote was both an inspiration and a "star". If there was any disappointment, it was the lack of a wider range of personalities. We missed Janet Pascal, the Hoppers, Stephen Hill, the Smith's; Lynda Randle; Larnell Harris; or any of a host of others. Some who have been here before we noticeably absent and they were missed

My husband and I were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and it couldn't have been a better way to celebrate! We were both blessed and revived! I went to Liberty University with Mark Lowery (which the college was Liberty Baptist College at the time) so seeing Mark brings back wonderful memories. Mark was just as funny in college as he is now. He has aged with perfection! :-) We loved all the groups who performed, especially the Gaither Vocal Band. They are our favorite (no offense to the others). God blessed the whole performance and we definitely felt the presence of God in the Bi Lo Center. No words can describe how we felt. I've never seen The Gaithers in person. My loss! I enjoyed every moment of their amazing performance! The acts were spot-on and transferred smoothly. The individual groups were all top-notch performers, and some of the performers had won the highest honors in their respective categories. I had forgotten that Bill Gaither had written "He Touched Me" that Kathryn Kuhlman was known for. And that Mark Lowry co-wrote (or wrote?) the song "Mary, Did You Know?"! I was enthralled for the entire performance! The sound was top-notch, and the two viewing screens on either side of the stage were very helpful. The sound was great, but the seats, although not that far from the stage, were unfortunately not raised per row--they were just placed flat on the arena floor, so we couldn't see over all of the rows in front of us. We would have been much better off on the sides where the seats were raised per row, arena-style, so that one could see over people's heads. I had to hold the camera as high as I could stretch to take photos; fortunately, no-one was behind our row.

It seems to me that this was near the end of the tour and it showed. Voices were tired, people were tired and most of the powerhouse songs I was expecting did not happen. I must say that Mark Lowry and Wes Hampton both sounded great anyway. I love the group and will continue to listen to their music, but I don't think I'll dish out the cash for another concert. The experience was good for me though. Initially disappointed, I realized that although it wasn't the GVB experience I had hoped for, it reiterated for me that only Jesus is Perfect. Praise Him and God Bless the GVB.

Even though this was a "Christmas" show tour event, it did not disappoint in the least. We took some very close friends from our home town to the concert as a Christmas present, since they had never been to one. I have never seen two people have as good a time as they did. The comedy routines done by Mark Lowry had all of us in stiches. Our friends laughed so hard, they had tears in their eyes. If you have any appreciation for "Gospel" music, I would highly recommend attending a Gaither concert event. By the way, this was the third Gaither concert tour event I have been to and have never been disappointed.

I love it! I am so glad I went to it! I got my ticket in June or July. If I did not do it; I would have not no funds for it. My unemployment exhausted in September. It was good; and I like how the singers were so friendly. They showed a warm display at their table and were so down to earth.

I had the priviledge of attending the Gaither Homecoming event at the Tallahassee Civic Center last night. It was so nice to finally have something worth going to at this venue. They don't have many events there; and what they usually do have it not "family friendly". I have not seen the Gaithers live since I was in Nashville for Gospel Convention around 1997. I loved the harmony of the Issacs. I enjoyed the guitar player in the back and his funny comments, that I am sure were rehearsed, but seemed so natural. I have seen Mark Lowery before in person and in watching and talking with him, he is not the sweet fun guy in person that comes across on stage. Karen Peck is my favorite female singer and she and her sister did not disappoint. All of the talent were awesome! However, anytime Michael English can be seen and heard, makes me want to go to Heaven to hear sweet music like his voice....ALL the time!

The artist were all so very good. You could clearly feel the presence of Jesus. I didn't want the night to end but knew it had to (they performed for 4 hours). If that is a little taste of heaven, I can't wait to get there.

One of the best Homecoming Tours yet - It was great hearing the favorites and the combination of Christmas favorites. It is amazing having the chance to actually interact with the performers during the break. As shown in photo below - thousands shining their blue lights during the singing of Silent Night

From the moment my wife and I entered the event center we found the friendliness of the event staff and their willing assistance to help us find our sitting location was refreshing. We have watched The Gaither Home Coming concerts on T.V. for many years, but to actually be sitting in a live concert with the best Gospel talent was an incredible experience. The God given talent and true spiritual nature of Bill and Gloria Gaither, along with each individual and group talent providing the entertainment was clearly displayed in interaction and song in such a manner that created an evening of laughter and heart felt tears of peace, joy and the LOVE we are supposed to have for one another. To sum it up, I believe this event would meet with the approval of Jesus Christ himself.

Best Gaither Concert in a long time. We went to Gaither fest and the concert in Augusta in Nov, but this was the best. One comment, the volumn was too loud. It almost hurt to listen.

It was 4 hours of foot stompin', spirit filled southern gospel music. They had several other well known trios/quartets there with them and it was truly the "homecoming" they strive for it to be. It was thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable. Bill Gaither has quite a sense of humor that he infuses into the show and I can't say enough about how wonderful a time we had.

As alway, Bill Gaither and the Gaither Vocal Band and the homecoming friends, ALWAYS brings an AWESOME concert. You will always be blessed, inspired, you will not leave the same after the concert. Its just THE BEST you can get in christian music. Less than $100 for a 4 hour concert???? Nothing gets better than that.

I really enjoyed the whole concert. There was so much talent there. The Gaithers, the Nelons, Karen Peck and New River, Charlotte Ritchie and Gene McDonald were all there. It was truly one of the best southern gospel events that I have attended.

The vocal band was great! The other groups were great as well. I'm glad they had the big screens because we couldn't see the people on the stage.

Bill Gaither's God-given-genius-gift of providing an evening full of belly laughs (100% clean humor), sample-of-heaven music, videos and stories of present and past well known musicians being "real" is absolutely priceless! An evening infused with joy, and clean belly laugh humor, just as God intended! They make it look easy but beyond a shadow of a doubt the performers and the behind the scenes crew worked their tales off to provide a seamless and .fabulous evening for all! Thank you to all!

Once again, Bill Gaither put together a fabulous show -- the Gaither Vocal Band, the Isaacs and the Nelons! Also, the unforgettable Charlotte Richie, who always looks beautiful and sings like an angel; incredible bass singer Gene McDonald & an awesome solo by Amber Thompson -- she is such a talent as is the rest of her family; the hilarious antics and unmatched guitarist, Kevin Williams.....I could go on and on. Some of the best talent in the business took center stage and our respect and love for Bill Gaither simply continues! If you've never been to a Gaither concert, you are missing an unforgettable evening!
