It was $87 just to walk in the door, and we only have one 3 year old and a baby. It was $20 to park, $17 each ticket, plus fees. We had the option of adding a bundle for $20.... we passed. That would ve gotten us a cheap duffel bag, one face painting and a bag of dirt with possibly a few shells in it.. then we ate lunch and that was $35 for 3 of us. So although the animatronic dinosaurs were cool, it wasn t worth the $100+ that we spent. The most fun the kids had was in the play area which just had foam blocks in it.

Great event, lots of fun and lots to do!!! little pricey since some of the activities cost extra, but worth it. Venue in a bad area of town, but once inside it was safe and a great time!!

There dinosaurs were neat, not enough to keep my 3 year olds attention, I would say any kid older than 7-8 would not enjoy this. Most of the room was devoted to an extremely large gift shop, and the optional add-ons ($25 per child), which we did not do. That would have made his ticket $43, and would not have been worth it.

I just left the Discover the Dinosaurs in Raleigh NC and I wish I had looked at the reviews earlier because it was awful. Thankfully we got 2 tickets for free and only purchased one (an adult ticket for $17!). The children's tickets were $20! We all left feeling disappointed and frustrated. I agree with all of 1 and 2 star reviewers. This event is a money wasting scam. They probably spent more money on the commercials than the actual event. I believe these were the same dinosaurs we paid extra to see at the NC Zoo last year. There were a little over 10 dinosaurs and the rest of the event was inflatables, face painting and mini-golf - the kind of stuff you see at festivals that are charging much lower prices. I would have been better off taking my 3 year old to Monkey Joe's to jump around on some decent inflatables. The lines were so long (longest about 30 mins) and there was too much stuff and too many people crammed into a small place. If your kid is into dinosaurs find a local museum to go to.

Wish I had seen the reviews on this prior to taking my son. This is not worth the money. Not only does it cost a lot to just walk around and the dinosaurs are not life size and the place is so small you can't even take a good picture because people are pushing and getting in the way they don't have a photo shoot spot for each dinosaur, everything that is shown on the commercials and advertised cost additional, $20.00 dollars for a wristband to get in the inflatables, the "Theater" was a projector on the floor, very bad place to have the projector because all the kids head were on the way, and the movie was The Land Before Time" cartoon with junk speakers that you can't even hear the sound and is not in a room is in the open area so the screen is not clear because of the sunlight, every area is so small, this event should be cancel forever.

If you have 30minutes and money is no object. By all means get your tickets to this event. Each "Extra" activity costs $6-$12 per kid to do, That's after spending $12-$17 per person to get in. What's worse is this event was split into 2 locations on the same weekend, between Philly and Reading, PA so Philly probably had 40 dinos while Reading(I attended) had 20 or less? It took 15-30 minutes to walk thru the display and there was NOTHING you couldn't read in an 8yrs olds Dino book. Only a few of those 20 dinos were animatronic. For this age group going to the Walking with Dinosaurs live event was 100x better and we spent about the same amount. You have to buy tickets once inside to do activities, EACH TICKET is $2 and most booths require at least 3 tickets to participate= $6 per activity. or more. PER KID. Sorry I didn't read the other reivews before shelling out $80+ for an hour in below average entertainment. The boys(10yr/11 yr) were moving thru so fast we'd have been done in 8-10 minutes if I didn't reel them back in and try to get them to read a least a couple of the display signs. And to finish it off, what appeared to be a gang member almost ran down the kids I was with in the parking lot. SPEEDING thru a parking lot of kids AND Accelerated even though he could see my 10 yr old talking with his friend not paying attention. I had to push them over to the EDGE of the road as he approached, luckily i was right next to them the WHOLE TIME...

I read the reviews and stupidly still chose to attend this event in Boston on Jan 6 2013. I figured it was a day out with the kids, and they would like it regardless if the dinosaurs are not true to size, etc. Indeed it was just awful and a complete rip off. I waited hours in line for inflatables, paid $41 to get in for 1 adult and 2 kids and then $20 per wristband to use the inflatables. So crowded it was unbearable. However, I didn't decide to write this review until I started getting the calls saying that I won the giveaway. They claim on the way in that they give away one trip to universal studiois per event, and that 2 winners were already chosen the previous two days. They tell the kids that thier parents can win as you walk in the door -- I foolishly signed myself and my husband up. I was sure surprised 3 days later when they called to tell me that I WON!! It's a complete travel scam and they have continuously called trying to get me to pay for something to win a week in orlando + a cruise + 4 days in Miami +3 days in Ft. Lauderdale -- you know the scam. HORRIBLE SCAM this is disgusting that they are allowed to do this. if you still choose to attend this event -- my advice is to bring CASH otherwise you will wait for hours in line to do anything requiring $$ which is everything. Cash only lines are shorter.

As others have stated, this is a bait and switch event. It cost us $17 for each adult to get in and $12 per child. ($58 total). They promise big dinosaurs. They are in reality fairly small and fairly unimpressive. We saw much bigger and more impressive dinosaurs at a mini golf place that we went to not long ago. It was so crowded that my kids couldn't even see the 'exhibits'. They had to sit on our shoulders. Everything else in the place cost extra if it involved anything besides looking at a dinosaur. (Most didn't even move) $6 to sit on a dinosaur, $8 to jump on a bouncy house for a minute or two, $ extra to play a very amateurish looking mini golf, etc. We easily sailed through the whole exhibit in 1/2 hour. (including crowd navigation). They were only in town for one weekend for a reason. I heard so many rumbles from unhappy people that no one would ever return. Save your money. You will feel pillaged by the time you leave.

The first part where you get to learn about and see the large dinosaurs was very cool. My 3 year old son loved it. He also loved Digging for Dinosaur bones. you could push buttons to make them move and roar. However, once you are done with this section, you move to the activities-digging for gold, ride a dino, jumping pit, etc. It all costs additional money and it's not cheap. It cost $25 for my son and I to get in. Then the additional activities cost about $3 or 4 a piece. Luckily my son was ok with getting a bag of dinos (which were reasonably priced) and not doing the additional activities. I do not recommend this if you are strapped for cash. A family of 3 could have easily spent over $100 for this and it was not worth that much.

This was a huge rip off $49 dollars for me and my hubby to take our 3 year old. Then get this once in side you can push buttons to make the dinosaurs move and several of them were broken. We walked thru all of the displays hoping that the rides and stuff would be more fun ok not they wanted you to pay 2 dollars a ticket ok so we left. Will never go back and for that matter do not even what to go back to the Hampton Convention center.

I would not attend this again if it were free. There is almost no educational value here. There is no actual dinosaur bones, the displays are basically poorly made fiberglass models, and it is ridiculously expensive. None of the extras are included in the price. It took us about 15 mins to walk through this looking at every "display". This is cheesy and very amateurish. If you don't believe me look at other reviews online. Just stay away from this one. Go to an actual science museum for half the price instead.

Wish I had seen the reviews on this prior to taking my grandchildren. This is not worth the money. Not only does it cost alot to just walk around and the dinosuars are not life size, everything that is shown on the commercials and advertized cost additional Was only in the exhibit for about 45 minutes. I was not willing to pay an additional $6 for each event for my grandchildren to partipate. I would not recommend this to anyone.

First negative was that the dinosaurs were not their true height and size and they had a light image of a pterodactyl flying upside down on the wall. So I would not rate the event highly from an educational perspective. The real negative was after paying $50 for a family of 4, all the "fun stuff" as labeled on their website costs an excessive amount of additional money. $6 per person to slide or go in the jumper for 10 minutes or less is excessive, especially when you've already paid admission. At least 20% of the floor space of the event was setup to sell toys, which made it obvious the true intent of the event, to bleed as much money as possible from you. I recommend buying a $10 dino-dig kit and inflatable dinosaur from Amazon and watching DinoDan on tv for a fraction of the cost or take a day trip to the Dinosaur Trail at the Museum of Life & Science in NC for the same price for the whole family.

This event was a complete joke and every other family we encountered during our less than 45 minute stay agreed. Sure the admission price is not terrible, but they don't adverstise that everything costs an addiitonal $6 to $10. Plan on spending $80 minumum for a family of 4. I would NOT recommend this event to anyone.

Walking in the first impression was just sad. It looked like something a high school would have put together. My 7 is seven years old and buzzed through this expo in no time at all. Maybe a bit better for 3 to 4 year olds. There just wasn't a lot going on and the exhibits were unimpressive to say the least.

Extremely expensive for the value you get out of the exhibition. It is just a bunch of plastic dinosaurs and a few panels with information. If the entry ticket was something like $10 max then it would be worth. We were done with the whole exhibit in about an hour and had to pay $80+ for a family of four, plus $20 for face painting for the kids.

Our third time attending a "dino" exhibit. Our least favorite. Venue was nice however it was very overpriced and catered to the 4 and under child. My son is now 8. $50 for 2 tickets! This was such a joke! Nothing like you see on tv! My kid was expecting the works based on what was displayed on tv... the exhibition only consisted of dinosaur machines and make shift exhibitions to dig in a sandbox (which you had to pay extra for)! The entertainment was Something any standard daycare could have come up with...playing with buckets and remedial games. My kid had the most fun playing with the foam blocks that we could have found in any other type of kids playroom or organized setting. I could have accessed those for free or had hours of fun for a nominal fee at Chuck E. Cheese . After $10 additional for parking I couldn t have imagined paying more for toys and food which was extra. Total rip off! Would never go again even if I were paid to go! If you want to spend $50 for your kid and yourself to have some dinosaur fun, visit a science center or some nature organization! Don t waste your $ on this nonsense!

This event was a money grab top to bottom. $25 to see about 8 robot dinosaurs with a few "exhibits". There was also face painting (+$15), Fossil Dig (+$10) and a huge gift shop full of Made in China junk that was well over priced. It's honestly sad. People spend their hard earned money to go to this to realize they've been duped. We ended up spending $125 with tickets and parking. Could have easily gone to the Field Museum or Shedd Aquarium and had a way better time. Whoever organizes this is just trying to make money. Pretty shameful. Hopefully you read the reviews before spending money on this. We unfortunately did not and wasted our money. Save your cash or go do something fun with it. This is not the place.

Please spare yourself and do not waste your money or time on this. I wish I would have listened to the reviews, but I had already told my 4 year old about it, so had to take him. Glad only two of us went and not entire family. The people who put this on should be ashamed of themselves and refund everyone's money- it is truly pathetic. Basically you walk around and look at large dinosaurs- there aren't that many of them. There is fossil digging but you pay extra for that (really?). There is also a bouncy house so all the kids can get each other's germs. That's pretty much it. Nothing educational at all. Let's get creative people- like maybe have a video running about dinosaurs, I mean, anything would have helped. Zero effort put in for this event- only worth $10 per person, if that- not $24!! Plus $10 parking- wow. Will never attend again and will warn anyone I know NOT to go!!

This event was beyond disappointing. I would classify it as no more then a bounce house. They charge parents and children of all ages the same amount. After walking through the dinosaur exhibit, which is not life scale, so basically large, poorly animated creatures under black lights, you pass though to the other areas where the $ spending begins.... There are 4 inflatable houses, no parent/child participation, really noting for the parents to interact and enjoy with the children. Parents are charged the full amount for absolutely nothing. We have never been more disappointed in an event and would highly urge you to not allow them to take your money to attend. This is a costly event for a family to attend and is not worth it. Even if the cost was a quarter of what we paid this is not something that would ever draw you to want to go back a second time. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING!

Overall the exhibit was ok. It is a good place to take young children, but any kid over 10 would probably be bored. By the looks on their faces, they were! We did expect more. It would have been nice to have tour guides explaining things and making the experience more exciting. its a do it yourself type of experience. It would be nice to see workers dressed in safari atire. One girl was being rude to kids, snapping at them when they climbed on the big t-rex slide. My granddaughter being one of them. The dinosaurs did look great but the exhibits looked stagnant with few foilage. The trees placed around the exhibits were the kind you get from lowes or home depot that are artificial and in planters. I am sure those were not around during dino days. Overall cost for a couple of hours was 200.00 including tickets, toys, snacks, and face painting. My 5yr old grandson really enjoyed. Overall, nicer people and communicating with the patrons would make it a bit more exciting... And possibly someone in a dino costume running around!!!

I took my 10 yr old. Paid $20-$25 per ticket. The animatronic dinosaurs were very cool. But then you are led right to a place that charges $15+ for a photo. That's typically pricey. Then into an expensive souvenir store. Then follow the trail to a place where you have to pay $2.50+ per ticket to jump in bouncy houses, get face painting, ride a animatronic Dino or "mine" for rocks/fossils. All which charges 4-7 tickets per event. It was an outrageously expensive "adventure"! My boy liked it but I hated all the extra charges after I pause $45 to get in the door!

After reviewing the Discover the Dinosaurs website, I thought this was something my kids would love. Unfortunately, the website makes this event seems more interesting than it really is. The dinosaur displays were pretty much exactly what we have at our local museum and the other attractions were nothing real exciting and several of the attractions were out of order. The shows that they had were spaced too far apart as it takes less than an hour to see everything and the shows were about an hour apart. $90 for four people to see this plus $15 for parking was such a waste of money (and this is not including the money spent on stuffed dinosaurs for two kids). We were there for about 45 minutes and for less money, would have gotten much more for less money in a trip to our local museum.

Not worth the price to get in. The Milwaukee County Zoo's walk with the dinosaurs is 1000 percent better.

In reading the other reviews I was sceptical, however rolled the dice due to cabin fever and it was a $75+ mistake. The entire experience was a waste of time and was embarrassingly bad. Unless you have a son or grandson between the ages of 5-8, invest your hard earned money else where. This was nothing more than an exhibit that could have as easily been set up in a Mall. I am fairly lenient on these types of events however this was really sad. Trust the reviews and stay away... I wish I would have!

For what I paid for the tickets for this I was disappointed in how small it was and how few interactive things there were to do. There should have been an age range advertised as it was geared toward kids under 7.

I brought my 4 year old Andy he was not impressed as the dinos were less interactive than the Milwaukee public museum. He loves the museum so I thought he d love this exhibit but there was not an impressive display. The price for the quality of the event was too expensive and to do extra activities it was even more money. All in all, I would not go again nor would I recommend this to kids above age 2.

My 2 year old really enjoyed seeing the dinosaurs, but I was disappointed. There wasn't much to see and you probably could take your time and walk through all of it within 20 minutes. It was overpriced for what it was.

Seen better dinosaur shows for the same price. My son loves dinosaurs but he wasn t really impressed with this one. The one thing I loved about the show though was the interactive games

We were underwhelmed by this event, especially for the price we paid ($50 1 adult, 1 child). My 8yo son had fun, but for what we paid, I think I was expecting a bit more. I don't know, maybe it's just me. On the plus size the venue (DC Armory) was easy to drive to and parking was reasonably priced ($11).

We took our three grandchildren, ages 5, 7, and 8, to this event. There was almost nothing to it and it was spread out over a huge space, which made it look even more sparse. We could have spent about 30 minutes and seen everything there was to see, but the kids wanted to play in the sand dig for a bit and interact in one of the games. We spent $11 each for three bags of sand to put through the sluice to find "dinosaurs parts." Again, the kids thought it was fun but it was quite a rip-off to pay $33 for about five minutes of entertainment. We have been to other traveling dinosaurs exhibits in the city which were a thousand times better. I can't believe this show is making any money. We were there on Saturday and the attendance was very low. This was one and done for us.

This event was less than what is advertised. There was no dragon exhibit. The baby dino's were on stage only and no interaction with children, as pictured on site. Kinda small and boring. My son still had fun but the other dinosaur exhibit that comes to town is much better and not much higher in price.

This was one of the worst productions I have ever seen. The space was barely filled. We have been to several other dinosaur productions all of which were much better. They barely had enough of anything to qualify as an "event". Waste of time and money.

I would use one word to describe my families experience at this show.....ripoff. For what was presented the cost should have been way less. For my family of 5 ( just one grand kid in the mix) I shelled out 123.00 bucks for the tickets and an activity kit. Not worth it at all. I will be telling all our friends with kids to save their money and avoid this show if it ever returns to town.

The tickets were WAY overpriced for what you got. Face painting and fossil digging (the only two other things to do besides the animatronic dinosaurs) were extra. The dinosaurs were cool and my son liked them but they were good for about 20 minutes, maybe. Won t spend an arm and a leg again just for that.

I was skeptical going into this based on reading reviews, but I got discounted tickets and family was in town. Wow was I impressed--first, I highly recommend going on the weekday. It was so easy to navigate every aspect of the event. No lines. Room to breathe and walk around. The displays were great, very realistic--my 2 year old who is normally fearless was cautious. The stations for puzzles, books, coloring, crafts, and digging were great. And the staff were phenomenal--engaged with the kids, excited, happy and friendly. Everything was a hit. I have to say it was wonderful and my boys REALLY loved it. Would recommend!

We had a blast at Dinoasaurs UNLEASHED. My 4 year old loved all of the dinosaurs and enjoyed the fossil yard. We spent lots of time in the bounce houses. There were plenty of bounce houses for them to play in and I didn't feel that it was crowded at all. My only complaint was that we only got a button for completing the scavenger hunt... and some of those questions were hard! :) We'll definitely be on the lookout for this again.

Kids had a great time. Though I think the prize is outrageous for what you get. There aren't that many exhibits and then the guys manning the ride the dinosaurs were not all that happy to be working. The bounce houses saved the day and thankfully they did have workers at each one to supervise so parents can sit for a few and there was one for our 2 year old. Like I said, my kids loved it, I just don't know about that price!

Very disappointing and just another money suck for parents - the few dinosaurs they had were great but you could have walked through them in about 5 minutes .... The rest of the activities were just lame and cost extra money and of course were overpriced

It took us less than 5 minutes to walk through the actual dinosaur display. Then we were greeted with a massive gift store and some activities that you could pay extra for. After spending over $50 on 2 tickets this was a huge disappointment!

The idea of discovering dinosaurs sounded pretty awesome although this event was EXTREMELY expensive. We pretty much paid to read about dinosaurs and jump in bouncy houses. They shouldn't charge people the additional fee to paint faces either. Not much to do, we spent a total of about an hour there. Never again

When I first heard about it on the radio I though it would be a great surprise for my boys 6 and 7 years old. But when we got there I was dissapointed- we all were. It is ok for kids up to 5 years old but that is it. At least they got to have fun on the slides, but then again we could have gone elsewhere for that. Plus we had to pay extra for face painting and mining which we didn't do-too much money for their worth. Anyway we left earlier than expected because they got bored. Not bad but not for kids older than 5.

My 9 year old grandson loved it because he is very interested in dinosaurs. I'm not sure any of my other grandchildren would have enjoyed it though. Most kids don't want to stand still long enough to read the signs. He enjoyed riding the dinosaurs and the bounce houses also. It was a one time only time for me. I would recommend it for children that have an interest in dinosaurs.

We've gone to Disney on Ice for years and have always been pleased. The Dinosaur exhibit was not quite as much as we expected, especially for the price of the tickets. I was expecting more exhibits and we were done in about 40 minutes. The blow up slides at the end were okay but just not the dinosaur exhibit we were thinking we were going to see. The dinosaurs that could be ridden were neat.

It was very dark and my 2 1/2 year old grandson was frightened. The dinosaur display was average. Grandson seemed to enjoy himself once we left the dark area and got to a better lit area but this event could have been so much better. It was just average to me.

First they should have had an age limit if they were only going to have activities for older children. My son is 11/2 years old and was unable to go on the bounce houses by himself and adults were not aloud to go with. There were a couple other activities that were additional cost and all not age appropriate. They wouldn't let him ride the dinosaur ride that was a glorified quarter machine you would see at a grocery store. Most of the dinosaurs were broken or missing pieces. The woolly mammoth was cracked all along his face with foam etc. showing. The "ride" animals were missing appendages. The bounce houses had the fans and cords exposed, I watched several children playing with them. Does not seam very safe. To sum up, with parking we paid almost $100 for my son to color a dinosaur picture and get a crappy hot dog. VERY DISAPPOINTING.

I believe this event could have been much better organized it was a little chaotic. The intention was good however, having to wait in line for excessive amounts of time for my son too get into the bounce houses was a little ridiculous. And the staff that supervised the rides didn't seem very confident in what they were doing. Try again next year... This means the organizers of the event should try again next year.

There were very little dinosaurs. In fact my son was done with all of the dinosaurs within 30 minutes. After that there was the mining experience, dinosaur rides (up and down motion, like the rides in arcades for little kids) and inflatables. Bottom line - NOT WORTH THE PRICE!!!!

I am so glad I didn't go by the reviews seen on YouTube! This event was perfect for all ages! If you have a dinosaur lover- this is something you want to go to. My two year old loved seeing all of the huge dinosaur replicas but riding the animatronic triceratops was his favorite part (besides picking out things from the gift shop!) I was happy to see that the prices in the gift shop were also very fair. Will definitely be going back next time it's in town! My son has asked every day when we will be going back to see the dinosaurs! The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because when we arrived they were still setting things up, and some of the dinosaurs/bouncy houses looked worn out and dirty!
