Words can't really describe this amazing concert. My daughter has listened to and idolized Corrine for years. She knows every one of her songs. She has written and never mailed more letters than I can count. We were so excited to see that Corinne was touring. The concert itself was amazing. Corinne connected to the audience and had amazing energy. She was fantastic. The really special part was that Corinne stuck around to sign CDs after the performance. My daughter got to speak to her and give her a note that she had written. Corinne was so sweet. It was just a wonderful night.

I loved the venue! I was able to go to the front of the stage and when I wanted to sit down, i went to the second level and had a sofa to relax on. Corinne was great. You could tell she was enjoying herself which made us all enjoy the concert also!

What a great concert! She song for more than 2 hours! It was great getting her new CD ahead of the show she song almost eveysong from it plus her popular old songs! What a great venue to see her up close and personal! I loved it!

Fabulous concert from start to finish. Loved the Overtones, my new favorite singer, Daniel Merriweather and of course the main act, Corinne Bailey Rae. I just love the Commodore, I only wish there was more seating and especially seats with clear views of the stage, those darn pillars keep getting in the way.

I have been a fan of Ms. Rae's since I first heard her in 2006. She continues to amaze, impress and enchant. The Commodore was a wonderful setting for her warm, ethereal voice and very talented band, being close and cozy enough to feel included without needing to sit (or stand) on top of anyone. Truly, she is a talented young woman.

CBR puts on a good show! Her voice is incredible. The only complaint that I would have is that her band drowns her out. The bass was WAY too loud.

The show was great. At the beginning there were some problems with the sound - especially bases - but once that was rectified - it was great. She started really really late (almost 11pm) but it was worth the wait.....The second guy was kind of boring....and kids from South Africa were also great.....

I took a chance on her CD when I saw it for sell in a Starbucks coffee house in Salt Lake City, UTAH (Im from Maryland) while my sister and I were there skiing. I was not disappointed.

The show was a suprise for my wife. She had no clue until we made our way downstairs into the venue. Once she saw the reader board with who was peforming, it was non stop excitement from there. The vibe was great and CBR was magical. Her voice is like none other.

Loved the show, the musicians were great however the venue taking out the seating forcing us to stand for several hours was not pleasant. Made absolutely no sense. I had to go sit on the floor off to the side so I could still see.

Corinne has a unique combination of musical gifts with her beautiful rich voice and good looks to her playing capabilities with various instruments and direction. She has surrounded herself with other great talents that make for a wonderful concert and an excellent sound. Corinne is able to play and sing really anything in her style and grace and make it her own. She connects very well with the audience and we feel a part of what she is creating on stage. A very real and moving concert experience. Her version of a well known Bob Marley song Is This Love was incredible as was also her interpretation of Doris Day's Que Sera, Sera. Wonderful! I get chills thinking about being there again. A great performance.

The night was a nice mix of her original work and her most recent cd that is a little bit more fast paced. While her original work is more acoustic, smooth and mellow. Too much of each would have been too much but, the mix was perfect. As she matures as a musician she stays true to her talent and gift and that is "Soul".

Corinne was flawless (even though she had much more of a simpler setup than I've seen before) even though she didn't sing ALL of her popular songs, she still performed impeccably. The Avalon venue is kinda small and I wouldnt recommend the GA standing area (hard on your back and feet to stand still for 4 hours). The worst part was the 4-5 Hollywood loudmouths in the crowd. Its ok to scream "Corinne I love you!" a few times but not between EVERY song. Some jerks kept screaming at her while she was introducing songs. At one point she even said "Wow, you guys are so interruptive..." I wonder why Corinne hasn't been to LA in a few years.

It has been a long time since I have heard someone that sings as well as Corinne does live!!! Her recorded voice is no give away to the depth and breath of her live performance. My boyfriend and I were swept away by everything that she sang, and he is not even as familiar with her as I am. My most memorable part of the concert was us , in the middle of the floor, dancing to 'Like A Star' which is the ring tone every time my love calls me. It was magical... A dream come true!

I will always love Corinne Bailey Rae! She played a lot of her new songs, which the audience was not very familiar with, however, we loved her just the same. As far as the Avalon, I would never return there again. When I go to listen to one of my favorite artists, there are so many factors that determine if I enjoyed it. In this case, $20 parking, $10 drink and then NO SEATING! All these things took away from me really enjoying the night as I hoped.

The show was amazing...My boyfriend is a big fan of Corinne and because of him, I started listening to her music too but just being able to experience it live was great! Her voice is so Angelic and and beautiful...My boyfriend and I were very pleased with her performance but not surprised since we both knew what her vocal ability was. She is a very beautiful person inside and out and a down to earth lady....

I flew from Detroit to LA to see Corine Bailey Rae and I wasn't disappointed. She killed it on stage. If you love her new cd then you have to hear it live!!! Corine is amazing. I have paid 4 times as much to see other concerts and her performance blew them away by far. The next time she comes to Detroit, I will be there in the front row!!!

All I can say is that it was one of the best concerts I been to. The openers Orgone lift the ppl up before the show and I would recommend them to anyone. Corinne was soooo kind, modest, and gracious. She played all the songs I needed to hear and extended some songs like Are You Here and made if fanominal! Her band was amazing and she used many instruments that I was unaware of. The crowd was calm and collected and the music hypnotized us throughout the performance. She is my fav female artist and she did not let me down in anyway. Can't wait for the next one!

Unfortunately, the venue, the Avalon in Hollywood, was terrible! There are no assigned seats, just standing room on the first floor and oddly placed couches every where else. If you do sit on a couch, be careful because you just might fall in! The lights were red and dim. Although this created atmosphere, you get the feeling that they REALLY don't want you to see how nasty those couches are. The show was scheduled for 7pm. Some opening act showed up at 7:30pm and played for about an hour. Corinne came on the stage at about 8:45pm. By this time, I was really disappointed and disgusted. But she made me forget about where I was and how long I had been waiting. It was an awesome show and I would definitely see her again. I would pay more to see her again in a better venue. But I'm glad I went...taking my outfit to the cleaners, though.

I have been blessed to see her perform four times in the States (twice in LA, once in Irvine, and once in San Francisco). She is one of few gifted artists who sound just like their recorded albums. Her voice is exquisite but it is her stage presence that truly captivates her audiences. The venue, Avalon, is just as charming as Bailey Rae. Large enough to hold a good amount of people, yet still retains an intimate feel. The only negative comment I have to offer has nothing to do with the venue or the performer, but rather an annoying group of people behind me. Clearly overly intoxicated and immature (they were gloating about being the loudest ones there), they talked throughout the entire show. Few attempts at trying to ask them to quiet down proved to be futile.

I loved Corinne's performance so much and her rendition of Que Sera Sera brought the house down. My only complaint was the quality of the sound. There was major reverb and static until they finally decided to fix it about 8 songs in to the set. After that though, it was flawless and she was sweet, kind and oh so charming! Very authentic and real performer who deserved a better sound system than the Avalon provided!

I wanted to see corinne bailey rae a long time ago but was not able to. I was glad that I waited. Her opener was so amazing. She got the coward moving. When Corinne came out, I couldn't believe my ears. Her voice was justtt...... I can't describe. She was incredible. Not only that she wait to to take picture with everyone. I had an amazing time. I love the crowd of people that attended. It was definitely a classy affair. I am looking forward to attending another event for this artist. Oh yeah... huge props to her opening act. They were the business! I would love to know their name so that I can get their music! The only thing that I believe that there should have been seating, as well as the open dance floor. Seating was really limited and for someone like myself that has back issues needed that option.

Unfortunately, all artists don't sound as good live as their album. Rae sounds better. She's a true artist, playing a multitude of instruments, singing her heart out and showing genuine joy and emotion in the music, even crying during one song. I loved every minute of it. I wish it would have been longer.

Sounds every bit as good as the CD but better!!!!! More feel'n...more soul!!!!!!! Not to mention she is easy on the eyes (however she could stand to eat a big mac or 2). I would have loved to hear Choux Pastry Heart but she did an excellent job of working in some of her older music with the new. And if you scream at the top of your lungs when her set is finished she will do an encore for ya, we were treated to Que Sera, Sera (Whaterer will be, will be)

I have been a fan for years of Corinne Bailey Rae. The show was outstanding however she didn't sing all of her songs and the regular band members wasn't present but over all I will attend her concert again. She sang about one hour and thirty minutes. I guess I can't have everything but I am old school. When concert was 15 dollars and they would play all night. Just go and see for yourself you will not be disappointed.

The show was so amazing and entertaining. The opening act was Australian singer Daniel Merriweather. He performed alongside an acoustic guitarist. He gave the audience a 30-minute "stripped-down" version of some of his songs. Corinne Bailey Rae performed all of her songs from her new album, "The Sea" with the exception of "Little Wing". She also performed a few songs from her previous album including "Like A Star", "Breathless", and "Til It Happens To You." She treated us with one of her favorite songs, a cover of "I Only Have Eyes For You" by the Flamingos.

This concert was excellent! Corinne delivered big time. Sang all of her hits and songs from her latest album as well as a couple of surprise songs. She was definitely in good voice. The place was packed and in tune with Corinne. My wife and I loved her. Downside; waiting so long to hear her. Concert tickets had a start time of 7:00 pm with no opening act listed. Show began around 8:30 with opening act which was okay but not great. Corinne didn't come on stage until after 9:00 pm Just too long a wait.

Loved the venue, loved the crowd. I was able to walk in with my friend 15 minutes after the doors opened and be in the second row, center from the stage. The bathrooms were atrocious, though!

I thought both of the headliners were amazing! The other musicians were also great. I thoroughly enjoyed the style of both performers. The wait for the show to start seemed long and while I appreciated the local talent of tre g a little brevity would have been nice. His drummer was noteworthy. I'm glad I got there early for good seats.

I wasn't sure what to expect from Corinne Bailey Rae as I had not heard much of her new stuff. My son, who also went, and I were both so surprised at how much we enjoyed her. Beautiful voice! Very personable with the audience and you could tell the audience was eating her up. Would definitely see her again. I honestly purchased the tickets to see Andra Day. We planned on seeing her with Leon Bridges and was really disappointed she was not there. I LOVE her voice, I LOVE the stories in her songs and she was everything I had hoped the concert would bring. Amazing! Wish the two of them would have done a song together!

It was a great show. Both artists really showed out. I was already a fan of Corinne which is why I went. She did not disappoint her voice is everything and I even got to meet her after the show. Andra Day was new to me and has absolutely earned a new fan she is going to be huge. Both are unique artists, just good quality music all throughout the night. I'm really glad I went.

Don't like how we had to arrive early to get in line and wait for doors to open s whole two hours earlier than show didn't start right at eight and the opening act was not same genre of music as the headliners. Didn't enjoy him at all...beyond that, Corrine was breathtaking!!! She is such a sweet sweet spirit, she enjoyed what she was doing and we just LOVED her! I hope she comes back by herself and does a longer show!!!! Then Andra Day is also a great voice so powerful as was her band members. I would've rather they had skipped opening act and both ladies given us that extra half hour each. GREAT SHOW!!!

I've been waiting to see Corinne Bailey Rae for awhile now. I've listened to her music for years, so when I found out she was going to be performing only an hour away from me, I knew I had to buy tickets. She was exceptional! Better than I hoped. I truly talented singer and performer. I enjoyed every moment. She even stayed after the show to greet fans, but I unfortunately had to catch the train. But overall, I highly recommend!

Mayaeni was a great opener for the Corrine Bailey Rae concert. Mayaeni's set was very Lenny Kravitz. If you squinted hard enough you could image that she was somehow a taller version of Zoe Kravitz. Her casual yet frank demeanor was very inviting. I can wait to see the great guitar riffs that spring forth from her in future years. Corrine was so appreciative of all her fans. Her music was melodic. Her energy positive and radiant.

I've been waiting a while for new CBR material and her new album is so rich! She has catchy tunes, sexy vibes, sophisticated beats and luxurious sounds. Her concert was the same -- smooth, exciting, polished, fun and just beautiful musically. The musicians are brilliant individually and clearly have worked together and respect each other's work. They seemed to really enjoy being on stage together. The whole experience was warm and uplifting. She's a great artist and has really stepped up with this album.

This was one of the best concerts I have attended. The venue had more than enough space for the show. Given that it was a club, there were also seats and loungers for those who didn't want to stand for the entire show. More importantly, the audience was the most diverse I have ever been a part of. People of all ages and ethnicities were in attendance! Corinne performed a wonderful set. She played a few songs, but gave those of us who have been fans for years the "oldies" that made us fall in love with her.

It was AMAZING!!!! she sounds better live then on her albums she did autographs and photos with her fans. It was fantastic. She was so humble and sweet. I'd definitely go to see her again.

The show was a little disappointing because she played mostly newer songs, which have more loud instrumental and drums, so it overpowered her beautiful voice.

I was waiting for her to come to Philly since I first heard her music. When I found out that she would be performing at he Electric Factor, I scored two tickets as fast as I could for my fiance and I. She was absolutely amazing!!! Her band was totally awesome and she looked stunningly beautiful. The band that opened up for her was really good as well. Overall this was a wonderful experience, one that I will never forget. My only gripe was that the show did not start on time. The opening act was 30 min late getting to the stage and there was no apology or explaination for the tardiness.

She was lovely, soulful, expressive, modest, shy and humbled by the fact that we enjoyed her and her bands performance. LOVELY. She sang with passion, connected with the audience and recognized her band as a whole and as individual artist. As an singer myself, I learned lots from her in just 2 hours. Awesome.

Corrine was warm and fuzzy as usual, but so, too, was the audio. I would like to hear the artist clearly. Corrine has far more songs in her repertoire than she performed. She played the good stuff too soon. I really wish she would have taken her time and built up the tension.

Corrine has the most marvelous voice I have ever heard and not to mention that she is so sweet and unassuming that she makes each so was written just for the listener. Most of the music was from her new Album "The Sea" was written after the death of her husband in 2008 which made the performance even more remarkable. You just want to hug her and thank her for expressing every feeling you have ever had over the loss of a loved one. There will be a great injustice if she does not win a Grammy for this Album. She also performed her hits Put Your Records On and Lucky Star and for the encore performed an amazing version of Sly and the Family Stones version of Que Sara Sara .

I loved, loved, loved the show. Corrine was a cool breeze throughout with lots of feel good music to boot. The band was also outstanding. I would highly recommend seeing her again and again. The only problem was the venue. The concert was scheduled to be on Governors Island but was change to Terminal 5 at the last minute. We traveled all the way from Washington, DC to see her and ride the water taxi and experience the island and that took away from our expectation

This was the second performance of Corinne's in New York that I have bought tickets to this year. I was looking forward to Corinne's performance at Governor's Island, but due to "production issue" the concert was moved to Terminal 5. The ticketed performance indicated that the show was to start at 7PM. I was dismayed to see a sign that stated the show will begin at 8pm with an opening act. Therefore Corinne's performance did not begin until 9P. . The audio in the venue is horrible. In addition for a show whose start time was delayed the snack on offer was limited to a bags of potato chips and a Snicker bar. Despite the delay and awful venue, Corinne Bailey Rae was great.
