From the first song to the last--this guy does not stop. 20 Min intermission and brief time to iintroduce his band. He had a comedian who was terrific on for about 30 minutes. A truly great show....all the greatest hits and more. Yea, do it!

Johnny Mathis s voice has not changed after all these years. His orchestra and the comedian were outstanding.

I have always admired Johnny Mathis growing up as an adult. His style, mannerism, smoothness, voice and uniqueness made me a fan. I have never had the opportunity to see Johnny Mathis in concert. On Saturday, March 10th I sat in the Global Event Center @ Winstar in awe. This by far was the BEST CONCERT I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE TIME. Actually, I believe Johnny Mathis is better now then he was 20 years ago. I have never been more impressed with anyone than Johnny Mathis. May God bless and keep him.

This show was a blast from our past and we really and truly enjoyed it. My only regret is that it only lasted 2 hours, I could have gone on all night.....thanks for bringing Johnny back into our life after all these years.......He won't leave again.

Johnny Mathis can still bring it with his soft romantic voice and easy manner. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the performance and his music brought back a lot of old memories and a great "mood" for a couple of old baby boomers.

Still warm and wonderful! Unbelievably sexy and polished. JM handled an over- jealous fan with taste and professionalism. I could have listened to it all over again.

He wowed the audience. The songs consisted of most of the "oldies" that my wife and I grew up listening and loving. The only song that we wished that he had sung was Maria from West Side Story. The intermission comedian was also fantastic.

My wife and grandson (15) attended the Johnny Mathis concert along with me. My grandson had never heard of Johnny Mathis and was impressed with his concert. My wife, who had attended several of his concerts over the years, was excited and loved the concert. I observed that he has not lost any of his talent. The comedian during Johnny's break was great and kept us laughing.

He was incredible! He was very modest and unassuming. Simply a man with a finely honed God given talent. He sang for an hour and a half, non-stop, which I think would have been hard for a man half his age. He was very classy and smooth. My husband went to please me but ended up enjoying it as much as I did.

Fantastic! Fantanstic! What more can you say. Johnny sang all the songs he loves. It was just hit after hit. One great song after another. The audience was in awe of him and you could feel the love in the theatre. I can't think of a better way to spend an evening with the music of Jonny Mathis and the one you love.

I enjoyed it tremendously!!! He is my very favorite entertainer. Johnny hasn't been here in a long time. I'm soooo glad he has come back. We needed him for so long. I truly hope he continues to make yearly appearances at the Bear Rivage. I guarantee I will make it every time. Wouldn't miss him for the world.

I have always been a Johnny Mathis fan and thought he had one of the best singing voices of all time. I had never seen Johnny is concert until last night and was extremely thrilled with his performance. I think his voice has improved with age if that was at all possible. The overall experience was enjoyed by both my wife and me.

Please come back every year, I hate to wait 3 years for this, way to long, his band was amazing, couldn't take my eyes off them either. I shook Johnny's hand when he came out, he was so sweet & kind.

I have never been so mesmerized at a concert before! I had seen Johnny Mathis probably about 25-30 years ago, and he hadn't even changed a bit! His velvet voice was as beautiful as ever, and he sang almost every song I had ever heard him sing. It was wonderful getting to hear the orchestra in person also, fantastically beautiful, and Johnny had said many in the orchestra had recorded with him and been with him many years as they toured. When I went to the rest room later, all the women coming from the concert were delitefully blissed out and on a cloud, as I was. Johnny truly is the master of romantic lyrics and brought so very much class and love to the concert! All his audience loved him to, and kept crying ouf "We love you Johnny"!! I will never forget such a beautiful experience, ever. It was especially meaningful when he thanked the members of the orchestra, and you could just feel what a truly genuinely happy and loving person he is.

Johnny was better than ever--a truly memorable event. I will go again, It was truly a magic concert. He is such a classy entertainer. Took me back 50 years and I was in high school again dancing and loving his music and the mood that he creates. He looks great, the orchestra was wonderful and Scott, his music director is brilliant.

The Johnny Mathis concert was one of the most memorable concerts of my life! His voice has not changed at all - sounds the same as the original records I listened to as a little girl. He is the epitome of class and is up close and personal with his audience. What a nice person he appears to be. This concert was a special gift from me to three of my sisters and to myself. We were all overwhelmed with gratitude for such a splendid performance. We experiencd so many memories and so much emotion. Thank you, Johnny Mathis, for an unforgettable night and thanks to The Ferguson Center for a wonderful facility to share the experience.

A Johnny Mathis concert could be used as an exemplar for young artists to follow. He takes the stage with half a century of experience and is much appreciated by the audience. It is clear that he works hard to sound and look as he does and the effort pays off. The crowd was transfixed by time seeming to stand still as he performed a number of hits and other songs. As the show starts, Mathis walks out, starts singing and surprises people who haven't seen him perform before. A few words and then he sings until it is time for the comedian. Mathis returns for the second half and sings both on his own and accompanied by his long time guitar player. It is a rare treat to see a large orchestra on stage and his conductor/pianist does a great job. The venue had some sound problems. There was an audible buzz at a few points. It detracted slightly from the beautiful music but couldn't ruin the pleasure of hearing that timeless voice.

If you can add one event to your bucket list, make it a Johnny Mathis concert. The man doesn't miss a beat! He is the ultimate professional performer and will make you fall in love again.

We enjoyed the concert, his voice is still good but the power of his voice is no longer the voice of old. The age group that grew up and aged with Johnny still enjoy listening to his music.

He hasn't lost his "pipes" like so many 82 year-olds.

The man is 82 years old and his voice is as smooth as ever. Brings back wonderful memories. He did a combo of his "greatest hits" and some other songs that are not so well known. A solid hour and a half of amazing singing and great entertainment I would absolutely recommend Johnny's concert to everyone able to attend. He travels with his own orchestra, and they are also very good, but I thought that sometimes they got too loud and drowned out the singing. That would be my only complaint, they either need to turn up Johnny's microphone or lower the orchestra for some of the songs.

Johnny is just as good as he was 40 years ago when I last saw him. Can still hold the long notes. Would love to see him again soon!

Johnny was unbelievable. His set selection, the band and his voice. What a fantastic evening we had. He hit those notes in Misty and Twelfth of Never - it was increadibly moving.. Great time - Great concert. He's still got it!!!

Was there with my sister because she loves Johnny Mathis and had a much better time than I expected. He still has a powerful voice.

I was unsure how he would sound. He's 82yrs old! You'd never know it!!! He sounded great! The band and orchestra was awesome too. I brought my mom as a surprise treat for her. We both enjoyed the music.

I was in awe of Johnny Mathis--what a voice and presence he has. He and his fantastic orchestra were unforgettable. A first for me. I will see him again. The venue is very comfortable with good views all around.

Special event for my sister and me. My sister would play Johnny s albums endlessly when she was a teenager. I fell asleep every night to his smooth as silk voice. 60 years later we were able to enjoy his melodic voice and unforgettable songs.

Have been following Johnnie since 1958 and been all over the country to see him! He is wonderful always look forward to seeing him. #1 SINGER....

The wife and I last saw Johnny Mathis at the Metro Center in Rockford Illinois 32 years ago and he put on a phenomenal show then. 32 years later he still has it and his show the other night was just as great. Johnny Mathis is an amazing talent and when you go to his concerts you can feel how much he loves what he is doing. Bravo! Mr. Mathis!!!!!!!!!

We are huge Johnny Mathis fans and have seen him many times. Had third row seats which is the best we have had in a long time. Recommend him to anyone.

Really really enjoyed Johnny Mathis, he put on a great show, the oldies some I did not know, what voice a true master. My only issue was walking thru the smoky casino wish there was a direct entry to the venue.

I went to my first Johnny Mathis concert in 1965 and I am still going whenever he is in the area. His fans are very dedicated to him and with good reason, he is the best! He is a class act. I love that he performs with an orchestra and his musicians have been with him for 30-plus years. That says a lot about a person. So glad I went to this concert.

What a special night celebrating my Mom s 77th birthday and enjoying her favorite singer from the day! Johnny did not disappoint and he was very entertaining. Engaged the audience and put on an awesome show. So glad I surprised her with tickets and made this wonderful memory.

The venue was outstanding...not a bad seat in the house. The acoustics were fabulous. A truly enjoyable experience.

Mathis sang for about an hour, took a break while we laughed to a stand-up comic, then Johnny sang more of his memorable songs. Our group loved it!

John Mathis at the exquisitely restored Saenger Theatre was the best ever!The lighting, the sound, the band and orchestra, and Mr Mathis, our gift from God both he and his voice were just amazing! The beauty of the theatre, the wonderful orchestra and Mr Mathis with his voice that was pure perfection made it Themistocles glorious concert I have been to of his! It truely was an unforgettable evening of Mathis Magic!

Johnny Mathis' Christmas concert on December 1, 2017, was the first concert I've attended in thirty years. The venue is ideally located with convenient valet parking. The Rosemont Theatre itself is an excellent venue for a concert such as this with comfortable seating and views. The show was superb and left me wanting more. I've listened to Johnny Mathis since 1956, and am happy to have had Johnny and similar artists in my musical life. This concert was a mix of his standards, classics, and Christmas songs and thoroughly enjoyable. Whether it's a show at the Rosemont, or Johnny Mathis, I wholeheartedly recommend either.

I grew up listening to Johnny Mathis and to finally have an opportunity to see him in person....WOW! What a great artist. He sounds amazing. Although it was a Christmas performance, he did sing some of his other hits. Everything blended so well. He was accompanied by a comedian whose material was for an older crowd, but he was still funny. This show is definitely \u2018A MUST SEE !

I grew up listening to Neil Diamond, Tom Jones and others. I made a bucket list in memory of my mom who loved, sang and hummed their songs. Johnny Mathis was incredible ! My first time seeing him in concert, and taking my 80 yr old aunt was so worth the tickets. His voice is amazing. He sang for 45 minutes, then had a comedian on for 30 min. Had a 20 min intermission and came back on for another hour. He had a full orchestra which you don't really see as much. anymore. People were telling me his Christmas concerts are awesome. Can't wait to see that!.

It's hard to believe, but his voice is just as good as it was all those years ago! He sang a variety of the old favorites, and knocked every one out of the park. So glad I went!

I took my 78 year old mother to see Johnny Mathis at the Morrison Center Thursday night. We had floor seats about 2/3 of the way back. Very good show, amazing that Johnny's voice was flawless after singing for so many years. If I had any complaint at all, it would have been nice if the back screen could have been a live shot of him or even if they could have set up another screen to be able to see him closer up would have been nice. The comedian who performed in the middle of the show was outstanding. Every joke was spot on and timely. Johnny sang a lot of my mothers favorite songs and it was a night that she will never forget.

What a joy to hear the voice of Johnny Mathis, backed by a real orchestra. Genuine music by a genuine master. All around me, people were commenting that they did not expect to see the stage filled with musicians. . Mr. Mathis was terrific and elegant. His voice was strong and he walked on stage as if time had stopped. There were young people in the audience who were stunned at his voice and talent. The room was not great, a ballroom with stack chairs. Giant video screens were both an accommodation to the folks in the back and annoying. It was nice to have the close view on them and, also, a bit distracting because they are at stage height and it often appeared he was singing next to himself. It would have been nice if some center seats were available for purchase, but I am very grateful to the Golden Nugget for booking this wonderful performer who sold out the venue.

I had the pleasure of hearing Johnny Mathis again on Friday. I paid over $100 for my ticket but could not see him very well and many in the audience were talking throughout his performance, with no response from security. Johnny has the voice of an angel and I hope I can see him again at a better run facility. Nonetheless, it was a thrill to hear such a wonderful performer.

Johnny Mathis NEVER disappoints!! He is always very well dressed, always the gentleman, and always the consumate artist! His voice is just beautiful as always! I saw him in concert several years ago in Sarasota, FL at the Van Wezel, and treated myself and my sister this time in Atlanta. We had a most enjoyable evening! Thank you, Mr Mathis!

Like so many people, my husband and I grew up with Johnny Mathis songs playing in our heads and lives. My husband, who was born and raised in San Francisco knew Johnny as both a sports star and a singer. We wanted to catch a live performance again and made the trip to Reno. We were not disappointed. Johnny still has the ability to make magic moments happen with his songs and easy gait across the stage. The shows complextion, with music and a comedic break before enjoying more of Johnny's music works well. The musicians backing him up were terrific and only once did they get a bit louder than Johnny could sing. It was a great show for us.

Johnny's performance was memorable. I saw him for the first time on TV in 1957. I did think the overall presentation and musical background was lacking. I came to hear Johnny sing but not listen to the very loud orchestra. His voice is soft and clear but was difficult to hear well being drowned out by 40 musicians. His very best song at the final end of his performace was Brazil. Outstanding ! Finally, it was sad to see this 79 year old man stumble and fall down on the stage. He needs to retire.

What can I say about a man with a beautiful voice, all these years, who still sounds the same? I am 65 and was brought up listening to Johnny Mathis. My mother loved him and owned a lot of his records. I never thought I would get a chance to see him in person. It's something I will never forget. As soon as he started singing I got the chills and tears flowing down my face. Think my Mom was with me in spirit! Every different song he sang gave me goosebumps. Since the concert I've been listening to all the Cd's I own of his. I just can't believe I was there.

We have been trying for five years to find Johnny's concert close to this area. A few years ago we got tickets for his concert in Portland, OR but I fell down a flight of stairs and had to cancel out then. It was well worth the wait, as we thoroughly enjoyed Thursday's concert in Mpls even with seats high in the balcony. Johnny's voice was excellent and it was such a pleasure to see & hear him in person singing so many of our favorite songs from his cd's we have collected over the years (still have old vinyls of his too) The orchestra was exciting to listen to & we enjoyed the comedian too. We hope Johnny will bring his concert back to as we would certainly drive the 300 miles again to see him. We also wish him many healthy years ahead and that he continues to share his voice and talents with all of us fans,

A true talent with real class....Musical Icon, Johnny Mathis once again gave another great performance! I have had the privilege of seeing him twice in concert and yes, I would go again and again! Even though, there is a big generational gap between the music that is playing now and the music back in 1950's, I must admit, it is Johnny's music that has really stood the test of time. Mr. Mathis, Thank you! Keep making that music we (Your Fans, Now & Then) love so well!

Johnny Mathis is always ultra conscientious about his performances and what he is giving to the audience. He is always beyond extraordinary in concert mode, presentation, and personality no matter what happens around him. And this time he should have been much better accommodated by the venue. He was very gracious when the sound equipment/mic repeatedly squealed, and he apologized to the audience. Although it affected the quality of his performance several times, he didn't need to apologize...this should have never happened if the sound technician/staff were on top as they should have been, especially since they were given opportunity to rehearse with him beforehand. Also, the stage needs to be more accessible for him to be able to accommodate the audience on either side of the center section. Though there are video screens, the purpose in attending was to see him "live," and there was too much equipment in the way and too little space for him to go to the ends of each side of the stage with ease. Otherwise, he and his performance were everything anticipated and eagerly awaited. Will forever attend his events wherever and whenever possible.

Johnny Mathis is still a wonder! His voice is excellent, and he sang most of the songs I've loved for years, plus some great new ones. He's such an amazing performer and seems to be such a genuine person as well. The audience was appreciative and adoring. It was a sparkling night of music and laughter. What more could one possibly ask?

We have liked Johnny Mathis for the last 50+ years since my wife and I listened to him as childhood sweethearts. He is an incredible ballad singer and is just as good at age 78 as he was when he was in his 20s. We loved his show and would go to see him again if we could. We met a couple from France at the show and they have been following Johnny to all his shows to see them (I think they like him...ha ha). He put on a great, entertaining show!

It was a throwback evening of when performers had charisma as Johnny Mathis does. He shows no signs of slowing down. His voice and stage presence is still as wonderful as it has been for the last 55 years.

Excellent!! Have seen him several times, and he is just as good as he ever was. He looks and sings the same - great! I would go see him again in a minute!!!

This was one of the best shows I have seen, flowed right through and the comedian he had during his break was absolutely incredible, kept you in stitches. Wonderful Show!

I grew up with my mom listening to Johnny Mathis records. My sister was kind enough to drive my mom the three or so hours to San Francisco so that we could take her to see him perform with the San Francisco Symphony. The show started with the San Francisco Symphony performing George Gershwin s An American in Paris . Outstanding! I can t say enough about the acoustics at Davies Symphony Hall and the talent of our symphony. There was a short intermission before Johnny Mathis came out to sing his biggest hits. At 78 years old I was surprised that his voice sounded just like it did on his records. He even held his notes just like when he was young. Being backed by the San Francisco Symphony made the experience that much better. He performed all of his biggest hits including Changes Are , Misty , Moon River , Gina , It s Not for Me to Say , The Twelfth of Never , No Love (But Your Love) , and A Certain Smile . The audience would start to clap after the first few notes of each song would begin to play. Johnny Mathis songs are classics that can instantly take you back to a moment in time. For me it s childhood but for most of the people in the audience I know it takes them back to their first dates, falling in love, and dancing at their weddings. I m very happy to have been able to share this night with my mom and sister.

I now know why he is great and still draws a good audience. He still has the voice. Note: Did not like the parking at Caesars - they were charging $20 to park and had to park on the 8th floor.

This was one of the best concerts we have ever attended. This man is as great and exciting today as he was 40 years ago. What a great evening we will never forget.

Johnny is as good as he was the last time I saw him, 45 years ago. It was not advertised as a Christmas show. I would have preferred to hear more of his timeless hits. He did not sing his greatest hit, "Wonderful, wonderful".

Absolutely Wonderful, Wonderful... oh, how Wonderful!! This is the about the eighth time I have seen his performance, and although it barely changes, I still love it. He looks fantastic, and his voice is as silky and smooth as it was 40 years ago! He is a timeless piece from my youth... and Chances Are I will be there next year, too!

My husband and I have been attending Johnny Mathis concerts since 1981. The man only gets better. His voice remains strong and he gives his all to every performance. Johnny Mathis is an American treasure. There is no one else like him.

Going to a Johnny Mathis concert was a hesitant decision. As a teenager I was never a huge fan, but nostalgia is good and we needed a night out. What a wonderful surprise and evening. Johnny sang all his old songs, plus others and was the epitome of entertainment. He has his amazing voice and his unassuming stage presence was amazing. We were disappointed when he took a break and brought on a comedian, but that act was amazing as well and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The second half of Johnny's act started a little shaky with his voice, but he warmed up quickly and had the place rocking. The concert ended way too soon and we would definitely see him again and would recommend it to everyone.

Johnny Mathis always had a warm, velvety voice that was perfect for all the old love songs and still is! He sang all of my favorites and some I don't remember but still enjoyed. We enjoyed the concert tremendously and highly recommend it!

Any time I have the opportunity to see Johnny Mathis - it's a privilege. On this particular occasion however, it appeared Johnny was having an off night. He did not seem to be engaged with the audience, and was just going through the motions? He did not seem enthused to be at the event. However, even on a "bad" night, it's still wonderful to have the the chance to hear Mr. Mathis.

What a great performance! It appears Johnny has discovered the Fountain of Youth! Such class and still a great voice!

Johnny is alive, sharp, and in great voice. The concert featured a full orchestra with strings and Johnny was glorious. He sang songs that he originally recorded in the late 1950s and early 60s, but with a freshness that would never suggest that he had sung them thousands of times. The songs brought back memories of our younger years--we couldn't help but hold hands.

Amazing performance from Johnny Mathis at Devos Hall in Grand Rapids Michigan. Although in his 80s, this consummate performer was entertaining and warm. His voice sounds as if it did years ago.

Voice range nearly as it was 60+ years ago. Such a generous show and seats were so good. His low key approach never fails.

Johnny Mathis was very good. Aside from not being able or choosing to hit those home run notes he's noted for, he still has it. When you see him live, you can rest assured you will get your money's worth; he sings complete songs for an hour an a half.

I have been to see Johnny every year that e appears at Westbury Music Fair. He never disappoints, has great rapport with the audience., and is adored by them. The house is always packed, the crowd waits for each amazing hit, and Johnny rolls them out with seemingly carefree ease.

I go every year with my mom because she loves him. He sounded amszing. The comedian was hysterical.

Every song was delivered with a passion few singers possess today. As I looked for a possible criticism I found none. The better part of two hours singing all the hits and NO Tele-prompter to be seen anywhere.
