The PSU team played hard and delivered a full 3 hours of enjoyment of Div-1 football; what is not to like? You can laugh at other drunk fans getting upset at the refs and see good football. On the downside, I was ashamed that there were so few people attending the Portland State football game. PGE park sells out for a league anchor soccer team, but cant manage to get 1/10th full for the local university football game! Its a shame. I feel sorry for the players and coaches. The official attendance was listed as 5077, but it was more like 1500, the stadium was so empty.

Great affordable fun if you like Div I football. The Jeld-Wen field is covered on all sides, so you stay dry. Bonus, its the only college in Oregon where you can have a beer at your seat while watching college football!!!! The PSU Vikings play a good game, lots of action and their pistol offense is explosive. Will be back again soon! Tailgate area is fun; love the Portland State has a large closed down street/parking to tailgate!

I've been going to Viking games since the days of Pokey Allen. The venue is gorgeous, but the product is boring. No passion, no excitement. Left early every game this season and might find other ways to fill my Saturdays next year. "DJ O.G. One" needs to get the boot.

PSU was ahead 21 -3 at the end of the first Qtr, but slowly Utah caught up and at the end of fourth Qtr and went ahead by a TD. PSU rallied, but could not convert a TD after going down the field to the Utah two yard line. I was disappointed, but the game had some very exciting moments and I would recommend going to those who have not seen Jeld Wen field yet or who want to see some live Football.

A great venue though even suite level seating only provides cover from the rain not protection from the wind.

If Portland State could have averted all the penalties & personal fouls, I believe they could have won that game. As it was they showed a lot of character against a very good team.

Being that it was my first time in the stadium (and in Portland as well) I did not have anything to compare the new stadium to as others. The stadium was very clean and up to date and was visually appealing. The only downside was no one could help us with the location of our tickets and where we were supposed to be sitting. We ended up just sitting where we wanted based on not many people being there.

The new Portland State home is great. Tickets are way overpriced, considering the game was so sparsely attended. I will not purchase tickets to attend a game again.

Ok, first of all, starting with the parking attendant..maybe he should understand some people have never been to the stadium and don't know what's going on..he never offered any help or direction at all. At the gate, my husband asked what time we could go in..the guy said 11:30, husband asked what time it was..guy said after 11:30. Do we need to be rude or can we just say we can go in right now??? Good grief! We still had fun at the game, despite the loss and clueless people.

We are big Grizzly fans and attend many games. This game was the first time ever that we were not allowed to leave the stadium at half-time without paying the full ticket price to re-enter. We had left our coats in our car since it was warm at 4:30 pm with the intension of getting them at half-time. We still had our tickets to show proof of purchase, but were told that it made no difference, (we would still need to repay full price). There were many other people at the gate begging to be able to go get their coats. Also people wanting to tailgate. No exceptions were made. We feel PSU should travel to other schools to learn how to treat paying guests. Because we were so cold, we left the game and did not return.

Terrible experience. My biggest issue was the no re-entry policy. We left jackets, eye glasses and various beverages in the parking lot but were told at halftime that we wouldn't be allowed back in if we left to retrieve them. Apparently they wanted to keep everyone inside to increase their food and beverage sales which would have worked if the line for beer hadn't been 30 min long. I seriously counted only 4 total beer taps at two different stands. The lines were insanely long and they could not even pour fast enough to keep up with the demand. The bathroom lines were just as bad. This stadium is not equipped to handle any kind of college level football game. There are simply not enough facilities. Or maybe the only time PSU draws that big of a crowd is when they play Montana. Who knows.

Hillsboro stadium is beautiful and a wonderful place for high school sports, but the facility can not accommodate a large group of fans. The men's bathrooms were at least 30 people long and the food at the stadium is the worst I've ever seen. My wife and I bought a nacho, sausage, and pretzel. The sausage was tiny (not worth $3.00), the pretzel was stone cold, and the concessions staff was stingy on cheese for the nachos. One person was turned away because they didn't have any hot dogs. These seems like small things that any stadium can do correctly. However, Hillsboro Stadium was not able to figure out this small task. If I ever have to attend another game at this stadium, I'll make sure to eat plenty before I get to the game.

It was a perfect day for a football game and neither team let us down. But the Hillsboro Stadium is a horible place to play. Long lines to get in, to buy a beer, to use the bathroom. To top it off it took 30 minutes or so to leave the parking lot. I support both teams but I will not go back to Hillsboro for another game, I'll just watch on TV.

Nice venue. Bad game. Left early. Ushers should be more familiar with the seating.
