Three Dog Night

This was a very good show. I had seen this group once before back in the early 80's when they opened for The Beach Boys on South Beach down in South Florida. They were great then and they have proven that nothing has changed since then. Should you ever have the chance to see this group and you remember a couple of their songs, I would recommend seeing them. It is worth every cent for the cost of a ticket to do so.

The venue is a great place to see any act. It's small enough to be intimate, but it doesn't feel cramped or crowded. And Three Dog Night was absolutely fantastic!

Performed with America at this show. Had never seen either band live after growing up with both on the radio and stereo. A fine performance by both acts with most of the airtime his performed. Would certainly recommend this event to others.

Started out a lttle so-so, but ended up being a great concert!!

I took my sixteen year old daughter to watch the show it was simply amazing. They played a great show and they can still bring it.

After 50 years together they sounded great. Venue was comfortable and I will definitely attend another concert there

I enjoyed this concert so much! They played all of their biggest hits, and the seats were comfortable and roomy. I loved the venue, I went by myself and I felt safe and comfortable there. A wonderful night to remember!

The venue was great, sound was awesome, and the boys can still sing and play. Loved it!

Three Dog Night still has that energetic feel good sound and those senior citizens can still belt out their classic harmonies! They played only their beloved hits except for a more recent inspirational number "Prayer of the Children". It was sung a cappella and received a standing ovation. Great fun at the Saenger Theater remembering the 70s!

Three Dog Night played and sang all of their hits. All the songs were as great as I remember them. I especially love "Shambala." The band is high energy with a great mix of audience participation and performance. The night was fun, and the 5 minute walk back to the hotel room located right beside (and attached to) the venue can't be beat.

The opening act was good. Three Dog Night performance was good! The music was overpowering though. At times you couldn't understand the words because the music was so loud. The concert was slated to start at 8pm. Three Dog Night did not go on stage until a little past 9pm. *Front row balcony seats will not allow you to see the stage without leaning forward & sitting on the edge of your seats.

Had seen Three Dig Night before. They always put on a fun show. Its neat when you know all the words to the songs. And I loved their new song.

The 3 Dog Night concert was wonderful. But, bring some earplugs if they have a warm up band, which performs for an hour prior to the 3 Dog Night. Wasn't impressed sitting through extreme distortion noises from the warm up bands bass and the distortion coming from the singer's microphone. That was awful.

These guys have not lost one bit of Rock Out !!! Took me back to a time of my Teens and Awesome music !!!

After all these years, Three Dog Night are still rockin' and rolling and pleasing the fans. Their song list of hits could have gone on all night. Prayer of the Children proves their talent never ends. This was one of my bucket list dreams and I was not disappointed.

3 Dog Night was a very fun evening but not worth the $50+ I paid for tickets. Songs brought back so many memories. But you can make your own call on their vocals - and I'm sure that's why they discouraged video recordings - so sorry - the crisp harmony just wasn't there. Appears age has taken its toll.

I ve been listening to Three Dog Rock on classic radio stations for 40+ years. Great show, great music, great memories and what a great time.

3 Dog Night was just as good as they were when I last saw them 48 years ago! Vocals were awesome! Danny Hutton and Mike Allsup are the only original members but they can still do it!

I m biased as this was my favorite band growing up in the \u201870s. The musicianship and vocals and wide variety of songs captured me. They did not disappoint. The three-part harmonies that Three Dog Night is famous for are a joy to hear live. Hutton still has his lead and harmonizing vocal strength and Morgan was just as tremendous. Kingery the bass player and vocalist also has good vocal talent. Not at the same level as the other leads, but Hutton and Morgan set a very high standard to be compared to. The band was tight in that they executed the songs like they ve been playing them for over 4 decades. My longtime admiration for original band member Mike Allsup as lead/rhythm guitarist grew exponentially. The guy lays down such a nice musical bed for the vocals, never overpowering, always complimentary. And his lead work is very tasty. Drummer Bautz and keyboardist Laravea complete TDN for 2018 and are excellent musicians. If you are a fan of TDN Or just want to experience rock/pop musicians of the highest degree, go see Three Dog Night.

First time I saw them they were great! I would go again if they come back.

It was a pack house. No empty seats. They did an AH-SOME job. Would go see them again.

I have listened to Three Dog Night all my life since their beginning. So glad I had the opportunity to see them in person. They haven t lost a step. It was a wonderful concert and well worth the time and money. It s funny going to a rock concert where the band and audience are seniors!!! I find that amazing.

Best of the best! They played their hits, the ones we love and brought back so many great memories. They might be older (so was most of the audience) but their voices were spot on! Loved the new song too! This show was worth every penny, bless them and I hope they continue on for many years to come.

Three Dog Night still rocks after all these years. If you get a chance go see them in concert.

Three Dog Night were AWESOME! They played several of their Top 40-Hits to include Never Been to Spain, Shambala, Ole' Fashioned Love Song, One, Celebrate. After an hour and 15 minutes, they left the stage, but then with standing ovation, they returned to sing 3 more songs...to include Joy To the World (very last). They were funny, entertaining, and I'd pay to see them again! And the best part of the evening, was I was home in less than 10 minutes instead of having an 1.5 drive ahead of me after leaving the venue!

Great show. It was a greatest hits show. It was easy to enjoy and lasted 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Three Dog Night was the very first concert I ever attended. Back in the day, we did not have the opportunity to go to concerts as young people can today. I was 19 yrs old and decided to spring for tix to their concert in the old coliseum (fairgrounds) in Indianapolis, Indiana. It was a great concert then and brought back so many memories when I attended their concert in Joliet, Illinois 48 years later.

Three Dog Night is just as good now as they were in the 70's. They put on a magnificent show playing all their great hits and a couple of new ones. I didn't want the show to end! This was the second year in a row I have seen them in concert and I will attend again next year.

First time at this venue, and seeing Three Dog Night was high on my bucket list. Amazing show!! Highly recommend!

I LOVE Three Dog Night... Of Yesteryear. I saw them in 71 - 72, In 77 and in 2014. They were worth every dollar spent. Even did a Rap Version of Mama Told me Not to Come... and I Loved It. Harmonizing was great and they looked to be having a good time performing. NOT in 2017. They looked like... and worse... sounded like... a group of guys who KNOW that their days are numbered, but still want to make some extra cash before they Simply Can't anymore. I Can't say "Don't Go" ... Just understand that those Golden Days are Long Gone. Will Stick with my "Three Dog Night" Channel on Pandora. I gave it 2 Stars because I mean No Disrespect to the Legend that they Were. Don't know if it was the Seat Location or overall Bad Sound but the whole concert seemed to have a Muffled Sound to it. The Vocal were hard to understand and there was no Depth to the Music.

The music was great and the members seem to remain having a good time while performing. I wish they would have had a longer concert. It seemed to be over too soon. I want to see them again.

What a wonderful evening we had watching three dog night perform hit after hit. It was nice to see a band play the songs that the audience wants to hear. The music was fun, especially since I knew every word to every song. But I think everyone in the audience did too. It was like a trip back in time. I loved every minute of it. My only complaint was that the Soundsystem seemed a little bit lacking. I wanted a little more clarity on the higher tones. But overall I would give this a thumbs up and I would go again.

I grew up listening to Three Dog Night like many people, and knew they had a lot of great songs I remembered. Hit 21 top 40 hits and they play them all. What surprised me was song after song how great they were and how wonderful they sounded even after all these years. Very tight harmonies and a very good banter with the crowd. Perhaps the best song was the acapella new song they sang.

These guys are AMAZING! I've seen them twice now. My favorite song at the age of 3 was Joy To The World.

This was the best damn concert! You'll LOVE it! Make sure you bring you're friends for the concert of a lifetime. I saw Three Dog Night in early years and this show takes the cake!

This was a really great show. 3DN continues to take harmonizing very seriously, and sounded fantastic! Original member Danny Hutton and long time member Paul Klingery probably could have pulled this off just fine, but late addition David Morgan (who essentially replaces Cory Wells...may he RIP) really puts it over the top. The other original member is Mike Allsup on guitar. Another long time member (Pat Bautz, on drums) did the main vocals for "Mama Told Me". They played all of their hits, ironically with the exception of "The show must go on." 3DN songs are great, and the band honors their fans by playing them all. They are in top form; really impressive.

Three Dog Night concert was nothing short of Amazing!! They put on a magnificent show and perform every bit as good as they did in the 70's. The band sang all the hits that made them famous with energy that had the entire audance up on their feet. The concert was a capacity crowd and no one, including myself wanted the show to ever end!! If I have the opportunity, I would attend another Three Dog Night concert in the future!

Taking a trip back to the sounds of Three Dog Night brought back so many thoughts of good times of yesteryear. We may be old, but we had the best bands has never been truer!

Saw Three Dog Night at "The Rose" a new venue in Pasadena, Ca. It was small and intimate and that was special. I am grateful that I am still able to see the soundtrack of my life performed live. I love those songs. They truly don't make them like they used to.

Great show! These guys still rock. They have a lot of fun and the band is very polished and tight.

Standing room only. Played all their own music. The crowd was excited and energetic. It brought back great memories for me. The new song at the end sang accapella was amazing . I hope they will come back soon.

Danny Hutton and Paul Kingery sound wonderful. They did an acapella number that brought the house to their feet. They played all the hits and were wonderful. See them , if you get a chance. They have been around since 1968, but can singer better than many bands playing today. Love Three Dog Night!!

Loved the show Still singing the great music that we listened to on the radio.

Good show at the Golden Nugget Lake Charles. Band played all of their hits and proved they can still rock. Golden Nugget event center is good venue for concerts of this nature.and it is fun hitting the casino afterwards.

While it was good to hear most of the old top 40 hits, Pieces of April and Eli's Coming were two great songs that weren't played. I think it was mainly because they needed Chuck's voice to make those songs work. Coupled with the death of Cory, the concert was just an average event.

The music was excellent...both old and new numbers. The band was very entertaining, esp Corey; very funny. Back screen was colorful, very nice. We sat about 12 rows from the front of the stage. We thought it might be too loud but it wasn't; it was perfect. So happy we went to this concert!

My very first concert back in 1973 was Three Dog Night at the Fairgrounds in OKC so needless to say my wife and I were excited to see the band again. The newly opened Choctaw Grand Theatre is a great venue. I don't think there's a bad seat in the place. The guys put on a great, great show. I'm amazed that after all these years at the quality of their voices. They still know how to entertain. The updated, rap version of "momma told me not to come" was one of the highlights. The other was the Acappella version of the "Prayer of the Children."

Firstly you must enter in to this with the understanding that this version of Jefferson Starship with neither Mickey Thomas nor Grace Slick might be a disapointment to some who didn't know what to expect. That being said, as one who loves their music and is attached to their songs, I'm very thankful to have had a chance to see them perform again, especially with David Freiburg still with them. Originally with them in the Jefferson Airplane days, and according to wikipepia now 76 years old, he's still quite capable of performing, and did a good job of singing lead on "Jane". This guy actually rocked. All of their musicians and lead singer Cathy Richardson performed very well and sounded great. Three Dog Night is closer to the original lineup, I believe they still have two of their original lead singers, now 72 and 73 years old, still sounding, in my opinion very much the way they always have and still very, very capable of performing. I love their songs as well, have always wanted to see them and was not disapointed. I should mention, as this is very important to me, the high sound quality throughout both acts' sets was quite good, crisp and clear. I mention this because I believe diasapointingly poor sound quality has been the ruin of some other rock shows I've seen. All in all a memorable evening of great and heartfelt music, I'm very glad I went.

I loved hearing both groups play their hits. Starship has a powerhouse female vocalist and the band sounds as good as ever. It was great hearing them play their greatest songs again. The Dog Night sounded wonderful too, and they played a vast variety of songs from rock, pop, western, jazz, blues and even a comical rap song. Loved their song dedicated to the Children in pain and harms way. They have fabulous harmony! Can't go wrong with either/ both of these bands.

Was very good after 44 yrs. Sounded almost same of course was on heavy drugs then:-) crowd old & asleep but i thought/felt they were great!

I was so pleased to see Jefferson Starship an Three Dog Night on the same bill. What a great evening of music. In addition the staff at the Pacific Ampitheater was extremely professional.

Loved the concert and venue. Jefferson Starship sounded amazing, I would have loved to hear more of them. Three Dog Night sounded great and were quite entertaining. They had us laughing and thoroughly enjoying ourselves. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and would see them again.

Excellent show. Sound just as good as ever. Can't wait to go back and see them again. Love the new song Prayer for the Children. Don't miss them when they come to your area.

Took my grandmother to see this show. Her and I both really enjoyed the concert.

I have seen Three Dog Night well over 100 times in my lifetime (a long time fan---) This event at the Birchmere was very special, in that it was a week after Three Dog Night lost their original and longtime keyboard player, Jimmy Greenspoon. They all came on stage with smiles, and the attitude of "The Show Must Go On." There were many mentions of Jimmy and how important he was to them, and how all of their concerts for this season would be dedicated to him. The audience LOVED these guys--especially during "You Can Leave Your Hat on", and "Mama Told Me"--rap and older version. Hysterical! They have always thoroughly entertained us through the years and this performance was no exception.

The concert reminded us that the great live on. This experience was a night in the early 70s and we were teenagers again. So many songs and as many memories. Fantastic concert; would see it again; anytime.

My wife and I had a great time listening to their greatest hits--with nothing missing. The vocals and music were exactly as we enjoyed over the past 40 or so years. I experienced fond flashbacks during the concert

Such a fun night! Started with dinner in the restaurant, which is always wonderful then moved into the show. Ran into some old friends, too. It was a great fun time! Dancing the night away. Such a small intimate venue that there really isn t a bad seat.

Hits galore, powerful "Prayer of the Children"(can't get it outta my head). Sitting in front of Michael Allsup and watching one of the great lead guitarists was pure delight. Michael is such a great guy TDN should thank their lucky stars to have him. Very entertaining evening. Only negative would be Danny Hutton who seems bored by the whole thing. Somebody yelled out "Roses & Rainbows" in reference to Danny's hit b4 he joined TDN and he gave the guy a dirty look instead of appreciating that someone knew and followed his career. I think he lost a fan there...lol. All in all a good time.

I have always been a big fan of Three Dog Night but this was the first time seeing them in concert. I have all their albums and enjoyed the concert immensely. The only problem was that the music was so loud, it drowned out most of the vocals which was very disappointing. Don't know if it was the band itself or the acoustics it the Florida Theatre created the issue. Overall a good time had by all.

The local warm up band, Baystreet was pretty good. Three Dog Night setlist was great. The songs and harmonies were tight and very well played. The banter with the audience was a good mix, not too much and not intrusive. Took my two daughters, who are in their 30's and they also had a great time.

Awesome Show have not seen them since the 70's but they still Got it really good show. I was not expecting Much but was truly amazed at how good they are

Concert was great! They were delayed however , due to alleged technical difficulties.

My wife and I have been to a lot of concerts in the past 10 years featuring groups we enjoyed in our teens during the early 70s. Eagles, Jackson Brown, Rod Stewart, Neil Diamond, Beach Boys, Elton John, Foreigner, etc. Three Dog Night was absolutely one of the best shows we have seen. Great performance, beautiful voices and music. They sang all of their hits, and there were plenty of songs to fill the night! Just an amazing time. You do not want to miss this!

Wow...what a great trip back in time! So many "vintage" groups lose their collective voice or their performing edge; not 3 Dog Night. This night was truly...an old fashioned love song, coming down in 3 part harmony.

With the exception of having some technical problems and starting a little late. The show was excellent. Played all the hits. Brought back a lot of memories.

Band played only hit songs from the 60 s and 70 s ... not new music. Lone exception was a wonderful harmony during their encore. They also did not push a political agenda.

The band still sounds amazing. The vocals were tight. Loved every minute of this group sing along.

We were amazed by the quality of the 3 Dog Night performance! Voices were still strong and show was very entertaining! Vetter Stone Amphitheater was a delightful venue. Only complaint would be the opening band. Couldn't wait for them to finish and the real show to begin.

Three Dog Night has been on the road for 50 years - in 2018, their energy and love of this half-century journey is clear as they rock on with many of their top 40 hits. Original members are missed. Newer members are welcome. I will continue to prioritize Dog shows as long as they are performing.

What a fun night with Three Dog Night playing one hit after another! Their music is as popular today as it was when it first hit the billboard charts years ago. Very entertaining band members as well. Thanks for touring and giving us an evening of your everlasting songs.

The venue was nice. Chairs are little small for an oversize person. Great views from where ever you sit. Sound was great too. The band was great. Brought back a lot of memories. I was feeling like a teenager again.

Only one original band member. Good harmonies but disappointed that show lasted only 1 1/2 hours. Could have played more of their hits.

The concert was great and the band played all of it's past hits and their three No 1 hits. Only negative comment that I have is they (Danny) never even mentioned, nor moment of silence, or said or did anything, concerning the passing of Corey. Corey's replacement did a good job but he is not Corey. Bottom line though, the show and music was great as well as the sound, I really enjoyed it.

Three Dog Night did not let its fan base down with a fabulous performance of all their hits. They have not lost their harmonies and were very engaging with the crowd. The crowd around our seats were the least to be desired. They were walking around during the sets; talking out loud while the band performed or using their cell phones during the performance. The Trop Show Room is a great place to watch a concert. Lots of leg room and very comfortable seats.

Played all of their hits, one after another. Lots of great memories. The show was so good I would have gone back the next night if they had still been there.

My wife and I had a great time listening to the groups hits as well as a new song done with great harmony and emotion. Besides the music the lead singers engaged the audience with stories of their evolution as well as how time has taken its toll on most of its fan base who are now senior citizens. I would recommend seeing this concert to anyone our age or younger in order to take advantage of getting to know the music of the 60's & 7o's when rock & roll was something to appreciate.

OMG! Daughter & I surprised hubby. His pre-father's day gift. So exciting! We Sang every song! Downside was that they were'nt selling any merchandise. We wanted to buy t-shirts & posters.

First, I was very surprised at our seats. It didn't look like we be so close. It is a very nice venue. Both groups were very good. I had never seen Three Dog Night, but had listen to them since they came out. They were very entertaining and sounded pretty good for their age. We had a very good time since it was my oldest sisters 1st ever rock concert.

Brings a lot of things back to life hearing them again. Good showmen made it flow nicely with the rapper fun bit. I was awed by their a capella new song Prayer of the Children shows they still hae. Bouncing encore with Jeremiah was Bullfrog or another equal it all was there. Fill your life with joy and experience them before you die.

So much fun, great show, great weather. They played and sang well, told funny jokes and put on an awesome show.

I was the one who wanted to go and my husband went with me. We were both born in 1958 but I listened to a more mix of music, surprisingly we both had a really great time, enjoyed the music and the band very much. It brought back a lot of good memories for me and obviously for a lot of others. The Pacific Amphitheatre in Costa Mesa was packed full. We would go again for sure and everyone there was respectful of the people sitting behind them. The band played old and new songs, all sounding great. They still have that unique sound, probably due to their long 44 years together.
