Carol was awesome. Funny. Witty. An honor and thrill to relive the past with her, a place in my childhood/adulthood I remember with great fondness and love. We need more comedy like she gave us. Thanks Carol!!

This was easily the BEST show, concert, spectacular, event that I have been to in a very long time. (Probably since The Who concert in 1974 was as good). Carol was in perfect form and the audience immediately warmed up to her even BEFORE she hit the stage. A great evening! Ryman Auditorium was a perfect venue for Carol Burnett.

Going into the show, I really had little experience big Carol Burnett. I never seen her show or had experienced much of her comedy in the past. This ended up not being an issue at all. What a lovely night of stories, memories and beautiful Banter. Her style of asking the audience for their questions, help add to the entertainment and spontaneity of the night.

She still has it. Carol interacted with the audience, showed us fantastic clips and shared her best anecdotes. Through it all she exuded love, respect and high humour. We met her once before, and it was as if she were speaking to us directly, even though we were in the balcony. Everyone must get that feeling. The standing ovation went on forever.

Wow, what a thrill to see Carol Burnett live and lively she is. I always get goosebumps at a standing ovation at the beginnning of a performance and last nights welcome was very touching and amazing. Carol's sense of humor is contagious and her laugh is still hearty and genuine ,you can't help but laugh when you hear her laugh. She answered questions with genuine thoughtfulness, depth and sometimes with razor sharp spontaneity: George Clooney did you get the message yet.?How does the queen of comedy respond to the question about what is the funniest thing that ever happened to her ,that was a challenge that she handled well She took us on a trip down memory lane that highlighted so many episodes that highlighted not just her humour but ,versatility , and a great voice.Although seemed little short, but then three hours may have seemed short as well. It is so refreshing to see someone of her age still active, sharp and contributing, an inspiration to us all.

firstly, the venue was having issues and there's no excuse for that. Carol couldn't hear anything being said by the audience, and up in the balcony, we had a hard time hearing her, the clips that were being shown, etc. It's too bad Carol didn't do any performing, but instead allowed blowhards from the audience use up most of the time enjoying listening to themselves on the mike. NO really difficult or interesting questions were asked.

I took my 81 year old mother to see Carol Burnett. When I was young we used to watch the show and laugh so hard we had tears in our eyes. The same happened at this show. I have not seen my mother laugh so hard, nor have I in a very long time. Her stories and the videos were great. They brought back a lot of great memories.

The Laughter and Reflection evening with Carol Burnett was fantastic. The mixture of footage from the Carol Burnett show and live audience questions was just right. The video restrospective hit all of my favourite show moments. And Carol was great - quick thinking, witty, engaging and funny as ever.

What a great show! It was wonderful to be a part of it with the talk back she had with the audience! Happy memories of childhood and having family night came back full force as Carol showed clips of her Carol Burnett show and talked with the crowd about her absolutely hilarious cast of characters. She is an amazing and beautiful lady and I'm so glad I was able to see her do her funny banter in a live show! From the beginning to the end of the time spent watching her it was interesting, entertaining and felt like I was part of an awesome retrospect of what a comedy show should be. When she talked about working with Tim Conway and how she said that Tim felt he was put on earth to make Harvey Korman bust up laughing during the show, you could only laugh loud at what it would have been like to work with such amazing talent. I only wish I could share her comedy with my children!

I honestly wasn't sure what to expect from the show before I saw it. I love Carol Burnett's work - but how interesting could a questions and answer session be? I was pleasantly surprised. After a review of old footage, of course, it all made sense. Q&A was always a big part of her show and led to some very memorable moments. Carol was funny and spontaneous, warm and geniune. The entire experience was intimate and personal. I was amazed at how the questions were completely unscreened and she was just working off the cuff. Similarly - the people who wanted autographs and photos were handled with real class without interrupting the show. Carol looked amazing. I was tempted to ask who she was wearing - i was a classic yet dazzling outfit. The video montages were nicely integrated into the flow of the show - and gave everyone a healthy reminder of the creativity of the show as well as the calibre of guests featured on the show. Carol offered nothing but praise and fond memories of her show's ensemble cast. It was wonderful to get her own story on the genesis of The Carol Burnett show. The time truly flew by - and when the the show was over - it felt as though we'd just begun. It made her theme song lyrics seem that much more appropriate. I'm sorry for new generations of TV viewers who will never again have a show like The Carol Burnett show. That kind of show cannot and wil not be recreated. Luckily we can still see the show on DVD.

Bought these tickets for my parents (78 & 80). My mother said it was the "icing" on her life to see Carol Burnet live. An added bonus was all of her peers around her at the venue. She didn't expect to chat with so many people of her age, sharing similar warm memories of Carol and her show. Simply awesome!!

I was so energized to be a member of Carol's live audience. It made me appreciate her 11 years she did q&a at the beginning of each of her shows. The videos, the dentist, Tara & Scarlet O'Hara, the horse skit were delightful and made me laugh. Short clips of singing diets were a flashback. I don't that I will ever see a variety show like Carol Burnett again.

My sister's and I gifted our 91 year old Mother tickets for Christmas and we all enjoyed the show very much. Carol was a little hard to hear at times and we thought the sound folks could have turned her mic up as loud as the audience Q & A mics. But we thoroughly enjoyed her and her lovely kind heart. We grew up with her in out living room weekly and gathered around for some laughs. She is beautiful, gracious, and shared and spoke of her co-workers with great admiration too. <3 Love to Carol!

I have been waiting since I was a little girl to see Carol in person. Wish I had the courage to of asked a question of her. The show was worth going, this is the first show I have done in my 50 years so it was enjoyable and I will visit the Orpheum again but will pay the extra money to sit closer. There are no railings in the balcony so it was hard for the older folks to feel safe up there.

While we very much enjoyed the show and the opportunity to see a legend, I felt there could have easily been more creativity included in the show by way of graphics, presentation, or storyline. It was obvious that the production costs were very low.

jThe show was wonderful, fun and full of memories. Enjoyed Carol in person. Her microphone did not appear to be working, we were in the front of balcony and many of her comments were impossible to hear clearly. The 'canned' or piped in laughter while she was speaking was unnecessary and took away from the pleasure of trying to hear her.

We enjoyed the Carol Burnett show so much. She is classy and never vulgar but still so full of wit and charm. I wish there would have been a skit or two to fill in between the Q & A of the show. It's hard to rate the content because the audience is actually guiding the show with questions. Some of the questions were dull.

I wasn't expecting to have a Q & A as her main style of performance, but it was GREAT! The stories she shared as a result of those questions were entertaining. I also enjoyed all the video montages of various portions of the show throughout the years. It was just the right length - no intermission.

I had a great time listening to Carol tell stories and answer questions. Many of the stories I had heard before, but it was still fun to hear her tell them in the flesh. Ushers were on standby with microphones to field questions. It seemed only certain parts of the theatre were canvased effectively (not my section unfortunately). There were several video montages throughout the evening that were hilarious and familiar, however when the montages weren t playing the screen just sat black. It would ve been nice to have Carol on the screen as she talked and reacted to questioners. Overall good experience and I m glad that I attended.

While the parking situation isn't ideal, this show was worth seeing! I didn't pay high dollar for the most expensive tickets, but even sitting up in the nosebleed seats I felt like I had really been with Carol Burnett. She extended such a warm welcome to the audience and made us feel like we were transporting back to the original show when she bumped up the lights and asked the audience for interaction. It was probably one of the best events of this type of been too. She did not have a script or a stick, she literally just let the audience ask questions and then she told fun stories. There are quite a few prepared video montages with just made the event even more fun.. I think we were all feeling the same way, she needed a chair to sit on! Why make the poor lady stand for an hour and a half. She finally asked for one and they brought her one, but my heart was going out to her, standing on those skinny little legs of hers. Love her, loved the show, I would totally do it again!

If you are a real fan of Carol's you have watched the special on CBS - it was the same show but shorter. All the same clips and same stories. During the Q&A Carol would tell the same stories as before - really just redirecting the person's question to fit her story. No photos allowed until the end but Carol stood on the stage for 30 seconds. You couldn't even get your phone ready in that amount of time. While I have always loved her & the comedy, this wasn't her best show, by far. Stay home and watch the CBS special or the one coming out on Netflix.

the 1 star goes to the venue, not the performer. he concert/show/q&a was just wonderful. i absolutely LOVED seeing this. even though it was sold out, the 2-3 seats directly in front of me were empty, so i had a great view. the only downside was that carol's mic was NOT loud enough. it was very hard to hear her speak. the sound on the hand mics for the questions was great. she should have been using one of those. i would highly recommend seeing carol burnett, she is just great !

Seeing Carol Burnett live was wonderful! She is still so genuine and personable, as well as a fabulous story teller! Unfortunately, the Orpheum Theater had some glitches. It was difficult to hear when Ms. Burnett first came on stage and then their was terrible feed back, followed by hand mics cutting in and out. I m sure it was challenging to do Q&A but that s why we paid the handsome fee to come see her live. I hope the second night went better!

This was a 90-minute performance, with almost 1/3 of it going towards videos of greatest hits that you can see for free on her DVD infomercial. The bottom line is that we basically spent $200/ticket for a 60-minute Q&A. We didn't know what to expect but we were expecting more.

I bought these tickets for my mom as a Christmas present. She was so excited to go and so we went. We were laughing so hard from the moment the house lights dimmed to when Carol Burnett walked off stage at the end of the show we had to basically massage our cheeks so we could relax the smiles on our faces. We told friends about it all weekend and every time we brought it up it was instant smiles on our faces. In short it was an amazing show.

AMAZING !!!! Great show !! 90 minutes that seemed like 10, but so many laughs, great clips shown. It's funny no matter how many times you see these clips, they still make me laugh. Mostly Question and Answers, but great wisdom included, about life, work and being a people person. Carol truly shows what it means to be a performer with Class !! Comedians today, would do great to take lessons from her in being clever with their acts, rather than going for shock value to just get a laugh. Enjoyed every minute of it, and even went back for a second night. Clips and stories were the same, but with different questions, came different answers. Thoroughly enjoyed both nights - Thanks for coming to Nashville Miss Carol !!

Carol Burnett was wonderful, she shared some of her favorites clips from her show, stories of her career through audience participation Q&A. Amazing memory and recounting some of the most hilarious and memorable times throughout her career. An incident before the show, apparently someone fell ill and some nearby "looky loo" theatre patrons were shouting "Doctor, doctor" which caused a stir, apparently they did not know how to dial 911 and the Theatre ushers were slow to respond and thus delayed the show. Perhaps some Usher training is in order?!

I was given tickets to see Carol Burnett for my birthday, and could not have been more excited. She is the root of so many great memories as a child watching her show with my family. Pure comedy at its best. I was really looking forward to her "bumping up the lights" and giving the audience a chance to ask questions. Many were shouting they had "great questions" to ask, and it turned out to be nothing more than requests for a picture, an autograph and in one case an audience member asked Ms. Burnett to call her mother in law. I'm sure this was a thrill for them, but it took away time from actual questions that people were eager to ask. A bit self indulgent in my opinion. Carol was a class act all the way, she obliged everyone, even doing her "tarzan yell" unprompted, and it brought the house down. After the show there was a line of people waiting to meet her backstage. I think if the venue let people know ahead of time , even announce it prior to turning up the lights, that this is an option, many would not use the audience question time during the show for these personal requests. The show itself was exactly what I had hoped. She shared stories, tidbits of information about the collaboration, who knew Bob Mackie was such an influence and contributor. These were the moments I was hoping for. You see so little of pure natural talent on television these days, reliving the moments with Carol was pure entertainment. When I found out about the show, I gifted tickets to my mom, my friend's parents and other family. They all loved it. She looked fantastic, shared easily and showed great emotion for her co-stars, one and all. I real class act, just as I had always thought. In a nut shell -- I'm so glad we had that time together. I would go again in a heartbeat.

Carol Burnett was the most gracious woman. She was funny (duh), she was gracious, even with the audience questions that seemed to go on forever without a question being asked. After the show my friend and ran into two ushers, they said, as long as they can remember, they have never seen so many HAPPY faces exiting the hall, And everyone talking about what a great time they had. They mentioned, even the other ushers were in awe of this amazing woman! My friend and I were able, (by total accident), to get our picture taken with Carol Burnett. She was very accommodating to us two mega star struck fans. Best night ever!!! Thank you Carol! Karen from Renton, a forever fan!

The show would be different every night because it is all based on audience questions and requests (of course, the Tarzan yell is a regular!). Video clips provide little breaks in between questions. Carol Burnett was as amazing as I expected. To open the stage up to a Q&A was great, just like she has done in the past. Great stories were shared and fun to always watch the clips from her show. The only struggle I had was being able to hear her. There were times when it was difficult to hear what she was saying either to answer a question or story telling. I am glad I went and even better that I was able to take my 84 year old mother to see her as well!

85yo legend Carol Burnett lead an absolutely enchanting evening of stories, q &a, clips from her 11yr running show, & even at one point assisted a young gentleman propose to his girlfriend on stage/all while wearing high heels for an hour and a half long show. /I d recommend this event to anyone whom is/was/& always will be a fan of her variety show.

Sound was awful, numerous time you couldn t make out what Carol was saying, many complaints from others on this, also the whole show was questions to the audience and Carol would answer. A screen on stage would show some old skits from her tv shows. For $200 this was disappointing.

It was great to see Carol Burnett in person. Loved her stories and jokes and how she took questions from the audience. I didn't think that was going to be the whole show, though. Guess I was expecting a little bit more, but then again I wasn't sure what to expect. Maybe a song or a skit, maybe one or two people from her show included. I was not impressed with two people from the audience going up on stage for a marriage proposal. It only took away from my time seeing Carol Burnett, which is what I paid a large amount to see. The sound system could have been better. It was hard to hear sometimes. Also, we were promised that we could take pictures at the end, but by the time I got my camera out, she had already left the stage.

Entire segments of the show were lifted from the 50 anniversary TV special. Some of the questions were good and led to fun stories but there were too many stupid people asking stupid questions, asking for autographs on their personal property (put that on E Bay within hours) or stupid requests like "My husband and I would like to invite you to dinner at our home tomorrow night," Self serving questions! RUDE, and not entertaining to the rest of the audience. Between the tickets and the parking, we spent almost $325 for two people. Not worth the money.

I wasn t expecting the show to be a Q&A session where I would be listening to the audiences sob stories. Also, I had watched Carol s 50th Anniversary Show a week prior to seeing her live so many of the clips were repeats.

What an amazing experience to see Carol Burnett in person. No disappointments, she played off the questions that the audience asked her, and I had many belly laughs. Great show.

My husband & I have both been Carol Burnett fans most of our lives. We lovingly remember watching The Carol Burnett Show. Seeing her in person was as great as we had hoped. Venue of the Comerica Theater was only OK. Wish the event would have been in a better theater, but seeing Ms. Burnett was a thrill of a lifetime!

The show was everything I expected it to be. Despite recovering from a cold, Carol was a trooper and gave a wonderful performance adding to the vignettes with personal stories. Loved it. Just one think, for a one-person show in such a large capacity venue, it would have been nice to have a camera on Carol with the video projected on one of the screens,

It was a thrill to see Miss Carol Burnett at the Comerica Theater for her show "An Evening of Laughter and Reflection". She was gracious and sincere with the audience members who professed their affection for her. I really enjoyed the clips from her variety show. My friend flew in from Salt Lake City to attend the show. Thank you for the opportunity to see a living legend in person.

In her 80s, Carol Burnett is still going strong. She is still funny, touching hearts and all with integrity through the years. She has made her mark on young and those of us who still remember her Carol Burnett TV show. Only venue suggestion is that there would be a different method for getting her attention from stage for people in the audience to ask questions. The flashlight method did not really work for those on the right side of the stage. One woman waited for at least half hour to get noticed and was never able to ask her question.

Comerica is a nice large theatre. Carol Burnett is an amazing woman. We were disappointed with her show for several reasons. 1- She was sick and coughed through the whole show. (Not her fault, but she should have cancelled) 2- Most of her show depended on the audience being asked to either make a comment, read a poem , or ask her a question. If this had NOT been the major part of the show it would have been interesting, but it got boring quickly. 3-All the clips she showed had just been on tv celebrating her 50th anniversary. So for $214.00 we left very disappointed. We still love the woman she is... just not what we were expecting. 4- PARKING... COMERICA SHOULD PROVIDE TRAFFIC CONTROL AT THE CORNERS CLOSEST TO THE THEATER... AT THE VERY LEAST...

This show was fantastic! Clips of the ever so funny Carol Burnett Show start off the night and then Carol comes on stage in one of her signature Bob Maki outfits....stunning! She brings up the house lights and immediately takes questions from the audience! After answering each question it usually led to a funny story of things that happened during the taping of her show or how things were done. So funny and informative. There were several emotional moments when audience members would tell her how she got them through very tough times with her comedy and bright attitude. I felt like I was sitting in Carol's living room just talking to her! Favorite moment when someone asked her what was on her bucket list, without hesitation she said George Clooney!

I was disappointed by the event. First, we were in row 11 and our seats were not regular concert seats. We were in padded folding chairs. Row 12 and up had the regular concert seats. Second, I also was disappointed n the event itself. I wanted more tv clips and Carol reminiscing. Instead, I had to listen to people ask the same questions. I was bored with that part. All in all, I've been to better events.

The show was a big disappointment for the amount of money that was demanded that I pay. I thought the show was an outrageous price for what it was. This show cost over $300 for two tickets and they were not even up front. All Carol Burnett did was have Questions and Answers and show a few old clips from her television show. I could have stayed home and watched old DVD for a lot less money and less hassles. I feel that I was ripped off and it makes me angry that I had to pay so much money for a show that was a disappointing flop. Plus, there was an over sized person in the chair next to me spilling over into my lap. The customer service was poor at the venue and the supervisor woman gave me an attitude. Maybe next time I am thinking about buying a ticket to a live event with Live Nation, I will think twice before I buy. I am highly disappointed about what the Carol Burnett show was for the price it was. I think what I got was only worth about $40 at best. I would like a refund.

I love Carol Burnett, I promise, I really do. I think she's awesome. Her show last Monday in San Diego was a big disappointment. If you have seen Burnett on any talk show lately you will see what I mean. She tells the same stories over and over. I am sure there is SOMETHING she can tell us that' s new. A person asked who was difficult to work with and she said he was short but wouldn't reveal- it's Paul Williams. Just tell us. Also, the Lucy Balls story, Here's Agnes, MIss Wigigns skirt.. There must be something new she can think of. The show is formatted for her to answer questions but she doesn't need to share the same thing over and over. The cost of this ticket was way too expensive to hear the same old shtick.

Carol was wonderful !! Great clips from her shows , personal stories and she took many questions from the audience. My regret is that they told us no photos during the show , that we would have time afterwards but Carol left the stage rather quickly and there were no real photo opportunities! She is an amazing and very comical lady !

I enjoyed seeing the clips from Carol's shows and hearing some of the "back stories," as well as responses to some of the audience questions. But my husband wanted to leave after the first 5 minutes. I think he was hoping for a few more live skits, even though the event was accurately billed as a more-or-less question-and-answer session. I'm thinking that he would have enjoyed the 50th anniversary show on TV more than the live evening with Carol.
