Comedy, amazing auction with stunning generosity, and closing with Red Hot Chili Peppers (usually Bruce Springsteen, but he was playing on Broadway this year), all for a good cause!

Lee & Bob Woodruff were great hosts, working great as a team, they were articulate, funny and delivered the appropriate message of charity & hope. The Beacon Theater staff was courteous & professional...we even got to see Bruce Springsteen signing autographs and got in a few pictures! Speaking of Bruce, he brought the house down! He was in a great mood, played 3 songs, one with Patty and told a story and a funny joke. Tony Bennet looked and sounded great also. John Stewart was clever and hilarious and nailed his political jokes with perfect timing around the mid-term elections. Jerry Seinfeld was never funnier...really. He rocked the hose with comedy like Bruce rocked the house with his music!

It was disappointing that Roger Waters and Bruce Springsteen chose to both do 3 obscure songs. With the exception of Comfortably Numb, neither artist performed songs you wanted to hear. Bill Cosby and Jerry Seinfeld were funny and did not feel the need to use curse words. It nice to know that there are still comedians that can keep it clean and be funny.

The annual Bob Woodruff Stand Up for Heroes benefit made its first appearance at the Theatre at MSG. Having attended the benefit a few times prior....this was the 7th Year....the annual benefit to raise funds on behalf of wounded hero vets...never fails to bring smiles...laughs...and yes....tears.... for the difference that the monies raised has made in some of the families lives....which are memorialized in taped testimonials shown on the video screens as well as an appearance from a wounded vet hero husband and his wife who have benefited from the Woodruff charities work and funding. Where else on the same bill can you see comedy from John Stewart, Bill Cosby, Jim Gaffigan and Jerry Seinfeld....and get incredible music from Roger Waters and a backing band of 20 or so wounded hero vets....and Bruce Springsteen as a closing act..... Well the Woodruff Foundation pulls it off....year after year. Bravo to the Foundation....and bravo to all those who work so hard.....bravo to those who come out and support this wonderful charity...and bravo to our Servicemen and women that have given and served so that we can be can be safe and maintain our freedom! I look forward to seeing next years slate of performers.....and the venue of choice! As an aside....it was wonderful seeing the new entrance at Chase Plaza at Madison Square Garden......another bravo!

We went for BRUCE - who did not disappoint. Love Him! President Clinton opened the show which was more of a fundraiser. Very wealthy audience. They raised quite a bit of money before they auctioned Bruce's guitar for $160,000! Jon Stewart was great and so was Jim Garr...(not sure of his name) Ricky Gervais' humor was tasteless and not funny - don't invite him back. Max Weinberg's band is classy just like he is. It was a small taste of Bruce. He sang Open All Night (with Max's band - it was awesome!) then, Spirit in the Night and acoustic Land of Hope & Dreams. We had first row balcony and our seats were excellent for "cheap" seats! We lucked out. I doubt we'll go again next year, maybe every other...Cheryl from Jersey.

This is a fund raising auction, not a concert. Tony Bennett's music and wig should be put out to pasture. Bruce did 3 numbers and then they auctioned off his guitar. Lots of money was raised but very little music was made. The comics were stale except for Seinfeld who managed to be funny with bathroom humor. The other two who wanted to talk about aging parents or hitting women were just lame. I really really really wanted to have a good time, and I suspect that the damaged soldiers that they trotted out to fill the front rows did too. Alas this was a corporate party for people with checkbooks to wave. I had anticipated some interaction between the performers but no joy there. I'll let the guys in the suits have all the fun next year.

This was the third time we've been to the Stand Up for Heroes show. The comedians were awesome this year - very funny, probably the best comic show we've ever seen. Bruce Springsteen wasn't there this year because of his show on Broadway. The replacement band, Red Hot Chili Peppers were a disappointment. They weren't a good fit for this type of show and hopefully Bruce will be back next year.

All of the comedians and musicians were amazing. The night is beautiful to help support vets. The only thing that soured the event was the rude auctioneer at the the end of the night. There's no issue in asking for donations, but don't individually call on people & be demeaning.

It was truly an honor and a privilege to see the servicemen and women who gave so much to defend our freedom, and now have to get better going forward in life. So to the extent that these excellent comedians and the Boss gave to us a great uproarious show, of differing comedic styles, and some lovely acoustic music, it was a wonderful night! We are gladdened by the fact of kind hearts in attendance, with tickets priced at $100-5000, to benefit this great foundation, and the incredible auction of meeting with the stars for meals, plus a guitar Bruce has used for 45 yrs, plus a custom made Harley Davidson...even though those are big ticket items. More for the high rollers...We laughed our a---es off! And though Bruce only did 4 songs, any day with him is a treasure.

Wonderful show once again. Great cause and touching videos to help remind us of the many challenges facing our returning Vets, their families, and their ongoing needs. The performers were awesome and amazing what laughter can do to raise one's spirits. Then there is Springsteen and the magic of his music....wonderful night In MSG.

The star-studded cast all brought their A-game. The comedians were hilarious, Springsteen was in strong voice and the veterans were all effective, passionate speakers. Loved the night and I wish I had more money so I could make additional donations during the auction. A worthwhile and well-run event. Veterans, thank you for your service.

Very funny. Pleasantly surprised with all of the celebrities. Never new Bruce was a comedian too! No surprise guest! The auction went on longer than it should have but after all it was a benefit Also the theater at MSG is a great place to see a show, not a bad seat in the house

This was our second year at this great event. We enjoyed it even more than last year's show. Great performances by all of the comedians, and of course, the highlight was Bruce Springsteen. And, let's not forget the real stars of the show, all of the veterans who served our country so bravely. We'll be there again next year.

My wife and I attended the Stand Up for Heroes comedy show, with musical guest Bruce Springsteen. It was funny and inspirational at the same time. The tributes to our military heroes was awesome. Bruce is the highlight of the show. I give Bob and his wife a lot of credit for pulling this together. Also, my first visit to the theater at MSG - what a great venue!

A fundraiser as it was, quite some time was devoted to boring auction. Comics were great. No female comic at all though. Springsteen can still sing. But wished he had a band too instead of just a guitar. .. Which was auctioned off for $300k!

Great night of comedy and music. John Oliver was brilliant - had me laughing so hard I was in tears. Springsteen played a short acoustic set and interacted with the audience. It was great to see all the artists and watch the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff belt out "New York, New York". But the true highlight was when a young Marine Captain, paralyzed by a bullet from the chest down, walked out on stage in a mechanical exoskeleton that allows him to walk. The crowd rose to its feet and gave a long standing ovation as he slowly walked to the microphone and remained standing while this impressive young man bravely recounted his story and encouraged everyone to rise to the occasion when confronted with adversity. As he turned to walk away, it appeared he was having trouble making it work properly. Out of the awkwardness of watching him struggle, the difficulties he faces and the true depth of his sacrifice were evident. The applause got louder and the audience encouraged him. I cannot believe that there was anyone there not moved by him.

Such an amazing show. Honoring our veterans with amazing talent made for an incredible evening. The comedians were hilarious and seeing Bruce play acoustic in such a small venue was better than any concert of his I've been to. Hoping to go back to this event every year

The acts were excellent. Funny but a little bit too crude in some spots. The entire evening well orchestrated. Putting the spotlight on 'the course' and the true heroes for whose benefit it happened. Thanks to all the performers for shining a light on our men and women who gave so much. Bruce was the Boss! Humble and brilliant and generous.

The line-up of performers both top-notch comedians and BRUCE were thoroughly entertaining as well as humble in their thoughts and actions. The performances were tremendous and it was a real treat to have Bill Cosby lead off the show. But for my money, and I wasn't in the cheap seats, there was way too much self-congratulatory preamble constraining Springsteen to three songs. I was happy to support such a good cause and was moved by the stories and performances by the Heroes we all came to support. But let's face it, for many in attendance Bruce was the draw and frankly we got cheated.

...to be in the same building with so many vets who were gracious, funny, and humble. I'm disappointed I did not get a program - they were out. Out of all of the comedians, Jim Gaffigan was the funniest by far - he had me laughing so much I cried. Waters' humility and graciousness to the vets was very touching, and RW singing "Imagine" was an excellent choice. Springsteen's set was great.

Having flown from UK day before show to see The Boss do three songs then go home the next day I was also blown away by Roger Waters and his band of Wounded Warriors - the version of Hallelujah was probably the most moving thing I have ever had the privilege of watching live and the rest of his band were an inspiration to everybody who were lucky enough to get a ticket. I left Madison Square Gardens a much better and much more humble man than I ever thought could be possible! Thank you Bob Woodruff and team for making my world a much better place.
