Venue was quite nice! Hardly a bad seat in the house. Mr. Che did not disappoint! There were spots that were a little slow, but definitely funny!

We re big fans of Michael Che on SNL, but this show (9:45 on a Saturday) was just, plain unprofessional and an insult to his audience. He came out and announced how drunk he was and then proceeded to prove it. He had no act. Just drunk ramblings and descriptions of how drunk he was. At times it was amusing. He s a funny guy after all. But definitely a big disappointment.

First let me start off by saying that I love Michael Che on SNL and was excited to see him in person. However, we should've listened to previous reviewers and saved our money. His opening act, Chris Riggins, was very funny but Michael Che didn't impress. It felt as if he didn't want to be there and was doing the show because he had to. We thought he may have been drunk - which works for some comedians but not this night. The jokes were all over the map and he didn't seem prepared. We left early with a bunch of others.

I was really disappointed with Michael Che's performance. It looked like he didn't know what to do on stage. He is famous but not that famous. Hopefully he was funnier in his other shows. Cobb's was pretty good besides the one rude guy that wouldn't let us sit where we wanted and then let some other people.

Disappointed with Michael Che. He didn t have an act, it was his last show and he put no effort into it. He was drinking, claimed he liked to drink a lot and had to bring up the opener to get through his set.

Disappointing. Che was sluggish and disjointed. Appeared to be buzzed and was sipping tequila the whole time. 100% different energy than Netflix stand up show.

Che is hilarious. He is witty, topical, had one of the most diverse crowds I've seen. There was an African American guy a few rows away from us, a pair of gay frat guys behind me, and a 70 year old straight couple in front, and my group was 30 somethings from the suburbs.

Michael Che was very quick witted and very interactive with the crowd! He knew how to keep on track with his stand up, but still had time to talk to people while making fun of them. I would see him again if he came back to Seattle!

We were excited to see Michael Che. We love him on SNL. His standup was just plain flat, unfunny, and really boring. He didn't have any real jokes. He just kinda hung out and talked to individuals in the audience. The crowed ate it up though. I'm glad people enjoyed it. We left early and offered up our front row bar seats to a couple people.

It was a decent show. Ii like Michael Che's humor and his sensibilities. It was like having a a funny conversation with a good friend. Very thoughtful entertainment. I was only disappointed that he didn't properly end his set and THEN take Q&A from the audience. He instead rolled everything together which, in my opinion, diluted his whole performance. I would still recommend the show. I just hope that he rethinks how he puts together his set.

The opening act Bethany Van Delft was also noteworthy and hilarious. We had a fantastic evening and laughed the entire night. Great show. I look forward to more specials from him in the future. A mediocre show. Thought he would be funnier, like he was in his Netflix special, but he wasn't that good. He appeared drunk or high or both! Took a while to get his jokes out. Kept wandering around the stage and only had a few good jokes. The audience was so pumped to see him, and we were really waiting for more. I think he took the Bostonian audience for granted. Overall didn't give us a good show, not like Sebastian Maniscalco or other comedians who have showed that they took the appearance seriously. The so called "bar" upstairs needs to have more than one cashier open. Took so long that we couldn't buy drinks.

....him to be hysterical. My two friends who went with me were making fun of me that they wouldn't laugh at even one of his jokes. They were shaking with laughter next to me. Michael was only supposed to perform for an hour, but he ended up talking for another 30 minutes because the audience didn't want him to go.

The Wilbur is a beautiful old building and a great place for a comedy event. It's spacious but intimate for the comedian to interact well with the audience. Michael Che was HILARIOUS. After watching his standup on Netflix and seeing him on tv I thought this show would be good. It was verry mediocre, towards the end of the show it like he gave up on jokes and brought the other comedian as out to help him. Long story short we ended up leaving before the show was over it was to corny and painful to sit through any longer

As a huge fan of "Saturday Night Live," anytime a cast member is performing stand up comedy in my area I'm going to go. I only knew Michael Che from his work as co-host of "Weekend Update" so was not sure what to expect from his solo show in San Francisco. Suffice it to say I was VERY impressed with both his wide ranging material (politics, religion, urban life, etc. ) and the way he worked the room that night. I had never heard of the venue before, Rickshaw Stop, but it is a very small, intimate club setting where you almost feel like you are in someone's basement. As such, we were right on top of the performers (2 warm up acts then Michael Che) and almost at eye level with them. Michael has this laid back way about him, is very friendly and engaging but also able to cut down an audience member at a moment's notice with his sharp wit. And it happened many times that night. I attended the show with a co worker who is black and he was one of the few black audience members in attendance, which became a running joke throughout the night. The highlight of the night was Michael inviting both my friend and I up on stage for a drink after the show and taking pictures with both of us. I've seen a lot of stand up comedy shows - Jerry Seinfeld, Dave Chappelle, Aziz Ansari among others - and this was a night I'll never forget!

It wasn t what I expected and yet exactly what I should have expected. It had more of a hanging-out-with-Michael-Che feel than structured material feel. There were no phones allowed in the show which was great, we knew ahead of time so we just left them in the car to save time instead of putting them in pouches. The opener was from Minneapolis and did a great job with her set. The host was funny, too. I thought it was a solid show and liked that because of the way he played it, every show is probably different, so every city gets a different show (it seemed like anyway).

I went to see Michael Che at the Wilbur on 6/30/18 and even though I was sitting in the balcony I was still really close to the stage. His two opening acts were HILARIOUS and Michael Che himself did not disappoint. I love him on SNL, he was a surprise guest at the beginning of the month when I went to see Dave Chappelle and Jon Stewart at the Wang and I was so excited to see him again live. The show started at 10pm and we stayed until 12am when he was told the staff had to go home. I would 100% go see him again.

Micheal Che was enjoyable but not my favorite comedy show of all time. The venue was nice and he had a packed house. Phones had to be sealed in special packages and no video or photos were allowed during show which was understandable. His opening acts I thought were great! Paris was very funny and DJ Sipher (sp?) was funny and played some great music. Che had a conversational standup routine and very interactive with crowd. This was my first Che performace ever I have not seen his Netflix specials just what he has done on TV. I didn't really think he was bust a gut funny just okay. I do wish he doesn't rely so heavily on black/white jokes and I'm saying this as a black female lol. Just overdone personally. However it was a nice night out and an enjoyable evening.

I was VERY disappointed. The highest he got on the laugh scale was humorous, He did not rise to the level of funny. He had some DJ try to warm up the crowd. Toward the end of the performance, Che and the DJ just talked, trying to be funny and not making it. Many people walked out. This guy should do more work on his act.

Che is a funny guy and is definitely talented at making jokes on the fly. He spent a good chunk of time ripping into hecklers in the audience, which was entertaining. That said, I went to Dave Chapelle/Jon Stewart a few weeks earlier and the majority of the set was the same. I know that comedians have to recycle their material for a period of time, but he was a surprise opener and I had already bought tickets for this show. Knowing that he was going to be in Boston less than a few weeks after he opened for Chappelle/Stewart, and a lot of comedy fans like myself would likely buy tickets for both, I just wish he had mixed it up more. Overall, I'd recommend seeing Che to someone that has not been to a show of his yet.

The opening acts stole the show. I've seen Michael Che live before and was surprised at how distracted he was during his portion of the show. The show became an audience group discussion which is not what I wanted to see. Most of it was him asking, "what's your name? where are you from? and what do you do?" It was boring. The opening acts were great. If I knew that was going to be my night I would have begged they had more time on stage. They had the audience engaged. It was so memorable and fun.

I have seen many comedians live including him at the comedy cellar and this was just not great. The opening "DJ" went on too long and was just trying to milk his material and spot time. Michael came out on stage and seemed very disinterested and distracted probably from too much drinking. He just rambled on about religion and politics for the majority of the time on stage. There was no structure or prepared material/jokes except for one joke you would have heard before. He only seemed semi comfortable on stage with the DJ at the end than by himself when bantering. There was no issue with the venue at the warner theater. Seats and view were great. I am not sure if the venue or Micheal requested the yondr pouches for cell phones. The process made getting out of the venue more tedious than necessary. Just generally obnoxious when you can't check what time it is before the show and check apps while waiting. Overall, I wish I could get a refund.

Micheal Che is such an amazing talent and looks so comfortable on stage I honestly couldn't tell what was bits and what he was improving. Michael is obviously a very smart and funny guy and there were certainly good moments in the show. Ultimately, that's what makes his performance so frustrating, he doesn't put much effort or preparation into his stand up. I haven't seen a comic set such a slow pace during a show or have so many pauses between thoughts, I had also never left a set early until this show. Towards the end he brought his dj/opener out on stage and he was obviously feeling his drink he had been sipping on throughout the night. The two were just riffing on a few topics, which reminded me of when we saw a Controlled Danger show with Chappelle and Mayer, except way more awkward and disjointed. So, we decided to head out and beat the line for opening up our yonder pouches, used to lock up everyone's phones. Definitely would pass on seeing him again, but still look forward to his wit on SNL.

Waste of my money. His DJ who thinks he is a comedian had more time than Michael and his music sucked and his attempt at comedy was an epic fail. Michael should not do stand up. He talks really low and I could not hear a lot of what he said and the jokes I could hear were just so so. Lots of drunks in the audience making all kinds of noise. For me it was a total waste of my time and money. Never again

Micheal was funny as hell. He has a rep for getting drunk on stage, which he did, and the show sort of came to a grinding halt at the end, as he was so wasted. Would have been 5 stars except for that. He had a local warm up comic, she wasn't very funny. But he brought a guy with him from NY who was also really funny. Mike needs to slow his roll just a little.

After his opening act spent a lot of time and energy warming up the crowd, Michael Che came out and just didn't deliver. He's a funny guy, no question, but this show seemed to lack preparation. A lot of shuffling around, looking down at the stage, low energy, long silences punctuated by mumbled one-offs. We were psyched up for this show and were let down by the performance.

Mr. Che was not funny or focused. He came across as unlikable ("My girlfriend of 8 years gave me the confidence to cheat on her." How is that funny or even acceptable behavior?) as well as rather homophobic. Most of the laughter was on the nervous side. Would not waste my money to see him again and after his comments about Colin Jost and politics, I have to re-think the SNL Weekend Update. And just so everyone knows, it appears Cobb's is now requiring cellphones be turned off and put into a signal-blocking sleeve, so if you are concerned about your home alarm or babysitter, for example, this isn't a good venue choice. (They are also selling VIP seats now - at the cost of cramming more of the regular seats into a smaller space.) Very disappointing and I'll have to consider carefully before buying more tickets.

Michael Che was on my bucket list so when I saw he was performing in the city, I jumped on it. We caught him on the second show on Saturday of a three day set. He came on stage with a drink on hand and admitted that he was a little wasted. He had no planned set and asked us several times what did we want him to talk about. So when you think about it, it was pretty gutsy. But when you think about it, it was pretty lazy. Still all in all, it was fun and some laughs. He's definitely better on SNL. I can cross this off my bucket list. PS. There are no photos because they had us lock our phones so there are no recordings or photos.

I love michael che on SNL and also liked his standup on HBO. However, this saturday he seemed unprepared and un enthused. Did a lengthy riff on penis sizes and generally ad libbed which turns out not to be his strong suit. He isn't clever enough to just coast on his charm and charisma. Opener was pretty good. show was short in order to get us out for the late show. Venue is excellent and food is actually tasty.
